Two Migrants in Custody After Trying to Breach Marine Base.

Two individuals, one of whom is reportedly on the U.S. terrorist watchlist, are presently in U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody following an alleged attempt to breach the Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia. The pair, driving a delivery truck, were apprehended by military sentries on May 3, according to base spokesman Capt. Michael Curtis.

The duo claimed to be fulfilling a delivery under an Amazon subcontractor and were stopped due to a lack of appropriate credentials. Upon being directed to comply with standard vetting procedures, the truck’s driver purportedly tried to force entry onto the base. This resulted in military officers executing vehicle denial measures, subsequently detaining the individuals and placing them into ICE custody.

Details concerning the immigrants’ status are currently undetermined. However, according to Potomac Local News: “Multiple sources report one of the individuals inside the truck is a Jordanian foreign national who recently crossed the southern border into the U.S., and that one of the occupants is on the U.S. terrorist watch list.”

The incident highlights the inherent national security threat of the ongoing border crisis. In March, a Lebanese illegal alien and professed member of Hezbollah was apprehended trying to cross the U.S.-Mexico border. He admitted his intention to build a bomb and target New York.
