In a particularly disturbing new video released by The Center for Medical Progress early this morning, a former Medical Director of Planned Parenthood of Arizona, Dr. DeShawn Taylor, is shown disclosing a number of gruesome details regarding what she’s learned from the abortions she’s performed:
She explains, “It’s not a matter of how I feel about it coming out intact, but I’ve got to worry about my staff, and you know, and people’s feelings about, it coming out looking like a baby.” The undercover investigator, who is posing as a buyer of fetal tissue, asks if there is any standard procedure for verifying signs of life. She responds, “the key is you need to pay attention to who’s in the room, right?” She muses that her “biceps appreciate when the dig[oxin] works [to kill the fetus].” She also reveals that she was trained by the Senior Medical Director of Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
The undercover investigation responsible for this video has not come without a cost, however. Just yesterday, David Daleiden, the founder of the Center for Medical Progress who conducted the video and several others released in the past two years, was charged with 15 counts of felony by California prosecutors. State Attorney General Xavier Beccara’s office claims that Daleiden filmed the fourteen people featured in the various videos without their consent.
Daleiden and his colleagues have been under legal threat from Planned Parenthood and its allies ever since the release of his undercover videos, though he has not yet been convicted of a crime. However, his brand of activism has also prompted Planned Parenthood and other abortion supporters to push for legislation that would make undercover recordings at healthcare centers illegal.
If convicted in California, Daleiden could face up to 15 years in prison for the videos.
