A Crubio Ticket?

In recent days, many readers have asked me about the possibility of various candidates joining together to help unite the party. The idea of a Cruz/Rubio ticket is most frequently mentioned.

My good friend Rep. Trent Franks is making that case to his House colleagues. He is asking House Republicans to sign a letter to Senators Cruz and Rubio urging them to consider the stakes and to unite for the good of the party. Here are some excerpts:

Now is a time for choosing — for you, and for us. Through rivalry, disunity, and baseless hatred in our ranks, conservatives are now in danger of splintering our voice. . . We call upon all national security, free-market, and pro-family conservatives to boldly rally around the two of you together and ask you both to answer the call of statesmanship and decide between yourselves which shall be the candidate for President and which shall be the candidate for Vice President.

That sounds like a great idea to me! What do you think?
