‘Home Alone’ Star Says Trump Picked Up $7,000 Bar Tab.

A new memoir by actor Daniel Stern, slated for release on May 21, reveals an interesting anecdote involving former President Donald Trump during the filming of Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. According to Stern, Trump offered to cover the group’s bar tab after making a cameo in the popular 1992 sequel.

Stern, known for his role as Marv in Home Alone and its sequel, cult classic C.H.U.D., and also as the narrator of The Wonder Years, writes in “Home and Alone” that Trump’s real contribution was allowing the production to use the opulent Trump Plaza as a filming location. Stern notes that the meeting with Trump, arranged by the film’s producers, was noteworthy but that Trump was “not a great conversationalist.”

During one night of production, Stern and some crew members were drinking at the Plaza’s Oak Room. Trump entered with his then-wife Ivana Trump and began interacting with guests. Spotting the film crew, Trump made a public offer to pick up their tab. According to Stern, this prompted the group to have multiple rounds of drinks, eventually shutting down the bar at 4 AM. Stern estimates the total spending to be at least $7,000.

In an interview with Page Six, Stern said, “We still feel really good about that,” reflecting on Trump’s current standing as a divisive political figure.

Director Chris Columbus claimed in a 2020 Business Insider interview that Trump had “bullied” his way into the film as part of the conditions for using the Plaza as a location. Columbus noted that Trump was originally not intended to remain in the final cut, but positive reactions from test audiences secured his brief appearance in the film.

Trump has refuted Columbus’ claims, stating on his Truth Social platform that he did not bully his way into the movie.

Afghan Posed as Teen to Rape 13-Year-Old Girl.

A 28-year-old asylum seeker is on trial for allegedly posing as a teenager on Snapchat to groom and rape a 13-year-old schoolgirl, with DNA evidence reportedly linking him to the crime.

UK Govt ‘Deportation’ Deal Has Brought in More Migrants Than It Has Removed.

The so-called “one in, one out” deportation agreement between the United Kingdom and France has led to more migrants being admitted to Britain than being removed.

📺 DETAIL: In July last year, under former Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, in collaboration with French President Emmanuel Macron, the United Kingdom and France agreed a deal to tackle the rising number of small boats carrying illegal migrants launched from northern France. This deal states that for every migrant the United Kingdom returns to France after an illegal Channel crossing, the United Kingdom agrees to admit one different migrant from France through a legal, approved route. However, it has been revealed that, under this supposedly equitable deal, 1,117 migrants have been admitted to Britain while only 1,087 illegals have been removed. This means that Britain has accepted more arrivals than it has returned. The new data follows new Prime Minister Andy Burnham’s defense of the government’s current approach to the Channel crisis.
🎯 IMPACT: These new figures are likely to cast doubt on the government’s border control strategy. This new data suggests that the British government is not deporting illegal immigrants fast enough or in particularly high numbers. This is potentially down to the fact that illegal Channel crossings have spiked under new British Prime Minister Andy Burnham. This program would use the Royal Navy to deter small boats carrying illegal migrants across the English Channel.

Colombia’s Outgoing Marxist Prez Warns of ‘Civil War’ as Trump-Backed Successor Prepares to Take Office.

Espriella called Petro’s comments an “affront to the sovereign decision of the Colombian people.” The President-elect declared, “So-called ‘civil disobedience’ is a euphemism to try to destabilize democracy.”
