FLASHBACK: Xi Jinping Took Joe Biden To A CCP Propaganda School Where Biden Called The Communist Leader ‘Straightforward’ and ‘Open’

Democratic Presidential Candidate Joe Biden gleefully visited a Chinese Communist Party-funded Confucius Classroom, praising Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping as “straightforward” and “open” during the 2012 exchange.

As part of the Obama administration’s “Pivot to Asia”, which saw the U.S. make diplomatic and economic overtures to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in pursuit of closer ties, the former Vice President visited a Confucius Classroom at the California-based International Studies Learning Center (ISLC).

Confucius Classrooms function as the elementary school complement to college-level Confucius Institutes, notoriously rife with Chinese propaganda, intellectual property theft, and espionage per the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Department of Justice (DOJ).

As a high-ranking party apparatchik divulged, Confucius Institutes are “an important part of China’s overseas propaganda set-up.”

Biden, however, visited and took pictures at the ISLC, a middle and high school partnered with the controversial University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Confucius Institute.

Xi, then Vice President of China, used the opportunity to implore American schoolchildren to push for closer U.S.-China ties.

Xi – who would go on to become the Secretary General of the Chinese Communist Party later that year – also propositioned “strengthened cooperation in the educational field,” lacking any pushback from Biden despite the CCP’s routine weaponization of American academia to push regime propaganda, theft of intellectual property, and espionage.

Such calls are striking similar to Biden’s 2011 remarks at Sichuan University, unearthed by the National Pulse, where he pleaded for the U.S. and China to collaborate at “all levels of government” and “beyond it to include classrooms and laboratories, athletic fields and boardrooms.”

During the visit, Biden extolled Xi as “straightforward” and “open”:

“He has been absolutely straight forward. He is open. He is, like, me, trying to understand the other man’s position. You can’t ask for much more than that.”

The display also included an exchange between Xi and Biden involving shirts emblazoned with “Fostering Goodwill Between America & China” and “China-US friendship lasts forever.”

If Biden offers his seal of approval to a CCP propaganda front operating in American classrooms – even under fire from Democrats – he’ll surrender the rest of the country to China as well. Old habits die hard.
