Top Bank Says Dem Lawfare Can’t Derail Trump Train.

French banking group Crédit Agricole has produced an analysis of the 2024 US presidential election indicating they believe Democrat lawfare against former President Donald Trump is unlikely to damage his presidential bid. Crédit Agricole analysts led by Valentin Marinov said they believe President Joe Biden and Donald Trump will reach their respective party conventions late this summer without issue.

Marinov listed several legal challenges against Trump, including allegations of federal election interference, but concluded that these matters are unlikely to impact his campaign significantly. He added that even a prison sentence would not prevent Trump from running in the election, according to Crédit Agricole’s legal analysis. Additionally, the banking group does not believe Democrats will replace Biden as their nominee despite mounting health concerns.

In addition to their political analysis, Crédit Agricole laid a timeline of key dates for their clients in the lead-up to the U.S. presidential election. The Republican convention is set to take place from July 15-18 in Milwaukee, while the Democratic convention will be held from August 19-22 in Chicago. Marinov’s analysis indicates that betting markets narrowly favor Trump based on his polling in swing states.

Meanwhile, Dr. Gad Saad, a marketing professor at Concordia University in Montreal, raised concerns about Democrats’ attempts to abuse the election system. He cites sham impeachments, the suppression of relevant evidence, attempts to alter the structure of the Supreme Court, fraudulent voter practices, and unlawful attempts to remove Trump from the ballot box as mechanisms being used to undermine the electoral process.

Far-Left Groups Pledge $1 Billion For ‘The Big Guy’.

The League of Conservation Voters is pledging $120 million to support President Joe Biden’s re-election efforts. Officials with the Biden campaign have indicated that the environmentalist group’s pledge pushes total outside spending on behalf of the Democrat incumbent close to $1 billion.

Separate from outside spending by Democrat-aligned groups, the Biden campaign expects to raise $2 billion over the 2024 presidential campaign cycle. Democrat-aligned groups tend to announce their planned spending early in the election cycle. However, it remains to be seen if they can raise the billion-dollar war chest predicted by the Biden campaign.

Several organizations spanning climate advocacy groups, labor unions, and conventional SuperPACs have pledged financial backing to Biden’s campaign. They range from left-leaning groups like MoveOn to NeverTrump Republican organizations like Republican Voters Against Trump. Among the highest contributors are Future Forward, which has reserved over $250 million in TV advertising, and American Bridge, a Democrat-aligned opposition research group that says it plans to devote $140 million to anti-Trump advertisements in swing states.

Republican-aligned groups — on the other hand — tend not to announce pledged spending ahead of time. However, fundraising numbers reported to the FEC indicate that the outside groups supporting former President Donald Trump and other Republican candidates in Congress will play a significant financial role in November’s election.

In response to the pledged levels of campaign spending, Tiffany Muller — president of the government reform group End Citizens United — told the New York Times in an interview: “The sheer scale of what we’re talking about has never been seen before in our country’s history.”

Could Kevin McCarthy REALLY Be Trump’s Next Chief of Staff!?

According to a report from Bloomberg, former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) is under consideration for Chief of Staff should former President Donald Trump retake the White House in November’s presidential election. McCarthy allegedly turned down the role during Trump’s first presidential administration — opting to compete for the Speakership instead, ultimately losing the leadership battle to Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI).

Citing anonymous sources, Bloomberg contends that former President Trump sees McCarthy as possessing valuable assets as a Chief of Staff, including his knowledge of Capitol Hill, his experience in government budgeting, and his alignment with the former President on “regulatory priorities.” However, the former Speaker is not without his detractors among former President Trump’s most outspoken supporters — including Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), who spearheaded McCarthy’s ouster as Speaker.

McCarthy served as the Republican Speaker of the House for less than a year, from January 7, 2023, until October 3, 2023. Rep. Gaetz brought a ‘motion to vacate’ against the former Speaker after the Florida Republican accused McCarthy of breaking several policy promises made during the Speaker election in January.

Following his ouster, McCarthy meddled behind the scenes in the election of his successor. McCarthy’s alleged machinations derailed the short-lived bids by Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH). After Rep. Tom Emmer’s run for Speaker failed to gain significant support, the former Speaker attempted to make a move to reclaim the gavel with allies writing in his name during a House GOP Conference meeting. However, Members ultimately settled on Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) as the consensus nominee.

In an incredibly petty incident during the Speaker succession fight, McCarthy was witnessed throwing an elbow into Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) in a Capitol Building hallway. Burchett was one of the House Republicans who voted for McCarthy’s ouster.

No Vivek VP, But He Could Lead THIS Agency for Trump…

Vivek Ramaswamy is not expected to be selected as former President Donald Trump’s running mate. Trump delivered the news directly to Ramaswamy, instead suggesting other government roles that may suit his expertise — including one at the Department of Homeland Security Secretary.

According to anonymous sources cited by Bloomberg, Ramaswamy isn’t the only dignitary in recent discussions on Trump’s cabinet reconstruction, with others including former competitor and North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, New York Representative Elise Stefanik, and Robert Lighthizer, who served as U.S. Trade Representative during Trump’s first term.

The news confirms National Pulse Editor-in-Chief Raheem Kassam’s perspective offered in August 2023:

Former President Trump is said to be considering vice-presidential candidates who are not after the political limelight. Instead, the former President wants a vice-presidential nominee who will give him an edge against President Joe Biden. At this time, it appears that all of the candidates floated as potential running mates only partially match the qualifications for which the former President is looking, a point that Trump himself is alleged to have made to his advisors.

Campaign aides alone haven’t guided the vice-presidential search, with members of the former President’s family also stepping in to give advice. Donald Trump, Jr. has been advising his father on how the more strident voters in the pro-Trump MAGA base might react to various candidates. He’s also pushed for a more significant role on the transition team to ensure that political appointees will be satisfactory in the eyes of Trump voters.

RFK’s Expected VP Pick Raises $4M ‘Pay to Play’ Questions.

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., a scion of the Kennedy political clan, is expected to name Nicole Shanahan as his vice presidential nominee — rounding out the ticket for his independent 2024 presidential bid. Shanahan — the ex-wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brinn — has been a prolific donor to Kennedy’s campaign, raising pay-to-play ethics questions about her nomination. Campaign finance data indicates Shanahan has contributed in excess of $4 million to Kennedy.

Shanahan was one of the key financial backers behind a Super Bowl ad promoting Kennedy’s independent presidential bid. The National Pulse previously reported that the pro-Kennedy American Values 2024 SuperPAC paid $7 million for the 30-second ad spot. After the ad aired, Kennedy and the SuperPAC faced heavy criticism from other members of the family, who denounced the candidate for misappropriating images of his uncle — the late President John F. Kennedy — and other family members.

Despite promoting the ad spot on X (formerly Twitter), Kennedy later walked back his endorsement of the ad, stating: “I’m so sorry if the Super Bowl advertisement caused anyone in my family pain.” He added: “The ad was created and aired by the American Values Super PAC without any involvement or approval from my campaign.”

The choice of Shanahan — a tech investor and film producer — has puzzled some political observers. A Singapore-educated patent lawyer by trade, Shanahan is seen as a political novice who lacks serious government experience. “The campaign is also looking for a candidate who can help finance the ballot access initiative,” a source told Mediate in a recent interview. They continued: “She might be infusing millions of dollars into the campaign to help fund the ballot initiative, which makes her attractive financially; however, she lacks the qualifications to actually do the job.”

RNC Working With Scott Presler On Ballot Chasing Initiative.

The RNC says it is ramping up efforts to ensure election integrity and maximize voter turnout for former President Donald Trump as he seeks to defeat President Joe Biden, the Democrat incumbent, in November. In an interview with Benny Johnson, newly elected RNC co-chair Lara Trump spoke in detail regarding the national Republican group’s 2024 election efforts. Republican election activist Scott Presler, who has been working to register and drive Republican turnout on his own, appears slated to join the RNC’s efforts officially.

“We have the first-ever election integrity division,” Lara Trump said, adding: “This is an entire wing of the building dedicated solely to that.” She continued: “Right now, you just talked about a lawsuit we have in Michigan; we have in twenty-three states seventy-eight lawsuits single-handedly to address this issue. To make it easier to vote and harder to cheat in 2024.” The former President’s daughter-in-law said the RNC’s goal is to undo the electionlaw changes made by Democrats in many states during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

Shifting to proactive steps the RNC will take to drive up turnout for Donald Trump, she said the group is implementing a “legal ballot harvesting” program which will involve the work of activist Scott Presler. “I’m going to have a call very soon with Scott Presler, who is an amazing vote registerer,” Lara Trump told Johnson. She continued: “He has registered so many people in this country. I think he’s fantastic. I want him on our legal ballot harvesting division.”

Biden Declares Opposition to Japan’s Takeover of U.S. Steel.

President Joe Biden announced that he opposes the takeover of U.S. Steel by Japan’s Nippon Steel company. Biden had not previously taken a stance on the buyout, which was announced in December 2023. In January, former President Donald Trump said he’d block the deal if he defeats Biden in the 2024 election.

The Nippon Steel takeover has become a significant election issue in several critical swing states — including Pennsylvania, which it would directly impact. Headquartered in the crucial swing state, US Steel also has operations in Michigan, Ohio, and Minnesota.

While meeting with the Teamsters Union in January, former President Trump — who leads Biden in most swing-state polls — said he’d “block it instantaneously,” referring to the Japanese company’s proposed buyout. “We saved the steel industry. Now, U.S. Steel is being bought by Japan. So terrible,” he added.

The former president has emphasized the success of his foreign tariffs in revitalizing U.S. industry during his first term in office. Trump has promised to continue the policy if re-elected, outlining what he called “Patriotic Protectionism” in a campaign speech in Michigan in September of last year.

For his part, Biden released a statement announcing his opposition to Nippon Steel’s purchase of U.S. Steel. “It is important that we maintain strong American steel companies powered by American steelworkers,” the Democrat incumbent said. He added: “I told our steelworkers I have their backs, and I meant it. US Steel has been an iconic American steel company for more than a century, and it is vital for it to remain an American steel company that is domestically owned and operated.”

Along with former President Trump, Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) was one of the first and only lawmakers on Capitol Hill to oppose the U.S. Steel takeover.

Biden’s Attorneys Demand Republicans End Impeachment Inquiry.

The Biden government on Friday called upon House Republicans to cease their ongoing impeachment inquiry against the Democrat President, asserting the lack of evidence for high crimes and misdemeanors. In a letter to Speaker Mike Johnson, White House counsel Edward N. Siskel argued that the impeachment process should conclude, citing significant tasks on the American agenda that require more attention than “wasting time on this charade.”

The GOP-led impeachment inquiry has encountered backlash following the indictment of a key witness. Alexander Smirnov is accused of fabricating allegations against Hunter Biden, the President’s son. The Smirnov indictment, however, is also fueling skepticism within Republican ranks. Some members are now questioning the feasibility of securing a majority vote if impeachment articles were to be brought to the House floor.

Despite the Smirnov setback, House impeachment managers — Reps. James Comer (R-KY), Jim Jordan (R-OH), and Jason Smith (R-MO) — appear committed to moving the effort forward. While remaining skeptical they can force a conclusion to the impeach inquiry, the Biden government believes the Smirnov indictment allows them to discredit revelations made by the Republican investigation that could have been otherwise damaging to the President ahead of the 2024 election.

This approach forms a part of President Biden’s aggressive strategy as he commences his re-election campaign against former President Donald J. Trump. Republicans, for now, remain committed to the inquiry, scheduling new interviews with Hunter Biden’s former business associates and requesting recordings from special counsel Robert K. Hur’s documents probe of President Biden.

Biden Dept Sued Over Federal Election Law Breaches.

Nonpartisan government watchdog Protect the Public’s Trust initiated legal action against the U.S. Department of Education on Wednesday, alleging the department knowingly failed to respond to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. The group had requested documents related to a Biden government decision allowing the use of federal work-study program funds for election-related activities.

In the initial FOIA request made about one and a half years ago, the watchdog group questioned the Biden Education Department’s decision allowing the federal work-study funds for activities such as “broad-based get-out-the-vote, voter registration, providing voter assistance at a polling place or through a voter hotline, or serving as a poll worker.” Critics allege the Biden government’s policy change regarding work-study funds could potentially breach federal law.

“Not only has [the Education Department] performed a 180 on guidance designed to prevent the use of federal funds for partisan purposes, but the agency also is also trying to avoid its obligations under the law to provide records about this program,” said Protect the Public’s Trust director Michael Chamberlain in a statement. He added: “After a year and a half, we still don’t know when or even whether Education will produce the documents. Trust in government is at an all-time low. If it’s going to be restored, citizens must be certain that the bureaucracy works for them, and not for political purposes.”

Jason Snead, the Executive Director of the Honest Elections Project, went further, accusing the Biden government of exploiting federal resources for their re-election. “The Biden administration is weaponizing the federal government to aid its own re-election efforts. Using tax dollars to pay overwhelmingly liberal college students to register and turn out voters is only the latest scandal,” he said.

Biden’s Abandonment of Working Class, Embrace of Mass Immigration Is Sinking Him Among Black Male Voters.

Joe Biden’s embrace of far-left progressive policies is costing him black male voters.

Biden’s dwindling support amongst Black male voters is becoming a pressing issue for his re-election campaign. Unlike other demographics within the Democratic coalition, Black men comprise a critical voter base in crucial battleground states like  Georgia.

According to Roger House, professor emeritus of American Studies at Emerson College, Biden’s abandonment of working-class economics in favor of mass immigration and other progressive policy priorities is at the root of the collapse in support. House contends Biden’s policy agenda has been captured by the likes of Vice President Kamala Harris and the more progressive elements of the Congressional Black Caucus, who are out of touch with the needs of the working class.

“Biden’s reluctance to crusade for working-class men is mind-boggling,” House wrote in the Daily Beast, adding: “One suspects it stems from the priorities of a coterie of upper-class Black confidants, like Vice President Kamala Harris, who tend to keep the constituency at arm’s length.”

House says he believes Georgia’s upcoming presidential primary will be telling for Biden. He predicts the Democrat incumbent will experience a similar underperformance among Black men as the Stacey Abrams gubernatorial campaign did in 2022. Abrams, House contents, listened to consultants who convinced her that criminal justice reform was the vote-moving issue for Black men. Meanwhile, her opponent, Governor Brian Kemp, focused on “pocketbook” issues — drawing support from working-class white and Black men. Kemp easily won the election with 53.4 percent of the vote to Abrams’s 45.9 percent.
