Kamala Declares: ‘I Am Ready to Serve!’ As Democrats Panic Over Biden’s Mental State.

Vice President Kamala Harris is facing increasing scrutiny following reports that her boss, President Joe Biden, is displaying “diminished mental faculties” and is an “elderly man with a poor memory.” Just two days before a Department of Justice (DOJ) report regarding Biden’s handling of classified documents dropped, the Vice President was asked by the press aboard Air Force Two whether she needed to prove her leadership skills to voters in the event she is needed to replace Biden as the Democrat presidential nominee.

“I am ready to serve,” Harris said, adding: “There’s no question about that.” Defending her ability to lead, the Vice President said anyone who has worked with her “…walks away fully aware of my capacity to lead.”

White House staff are believed to have had access to the DOJ report as much as a week prior to its release, meaning Harris would have known of its contents when making her comments.

Questions over the 81-year-old Biden’s ability to run for re-election have sparked speculation as to who might replace him. Names like Michelle Obama and even Oprah have been floated. The most likely scenario is that the President would be replaced by his Vice-President, Kamala Harris.

Harris, who is over two decades younger than Biden at 59, will have to assuage Democrat leadership’s concerns over her own history of gaffes and outlandish statements. Republicans, for their part, are looking to take advantage of the void in leadership created by concerns about Biden’s health and uncertainty that Harris can handle the presidency. On the campaign trail, they’ve emphasized that a ‘vote for Biden is a vote for Harris.’

The Vice President has recently seen a bump in day-to-day work as part of the Biden government and appearances on the campaign trail. Increasingly, she has leaned into the abortion issue in her campaign rhetoric – one of the few policy areas Harris appears most comfortable discussing. Should Harris have to replace Biden as the nominee, she is likely to try and make 2024 a referendum on women’s health – with abortion being the core issue of her campaign.

Voters Rate Trump’s Tenure As Better Than Biden’s.

New data suggests Americans increasingly believe that former President Donald Trump outperformed expectations during his time in office and that President Joe Biden is failing to live up to their expectations. Of particular concern for Biden is the high number of Democrats expressing disappointment in his government. With early polling suggesting that Biden is either running behind — or at best neck-and-neck — with Trump, a collapse in Democrat enthusiasm could be disastrous for his re-election chances.

The NBC News survey, conducted at the end of January, found that 40 percent of respondents believe former President Trump outperformed their expectations. In 2018, those who said he was exceeding their expectations sat at 29 percent. Meanwhile, just  29 percent currently say he did worse they expected while in office.

For Biden, the survey numbers are dire. Only 14 percent of respondents say he’s exceeding their expectations. Meanwhile, 42 percent say Biden has done worse than they expected. Within the Democrat Party, nearly 20 percent of respondents say Biden is underperforming and 52 percent say he’s done about as well as expected. Just 30 percent said he’s overperformed.

Even worse for Biden is his numbers among Independent voters. Just 6 percent say Bdien has governed better than they expected, with 52 percent saying he’s government has done worse. For former President Donald Trump, the Independent numbers are much better with 38 percent saying his time in office went better than expected. Just 18 percent said Trump performed worse than they thought he would.

Nikki Haley Doesn’t Care If She Helps Democrats Hold the White House.

Former South Carolina Governor Nimarata ‘Nikki’ Haley has indicated that she doesn’t care if dragging out the Republican presidential nomination contest damages the former President Donald Trump, the all-but-certain 2024 nominee. A defiant Haley, armed with Democrat and globalist donor cash, has refused to drop her primary bid despite not having won any of the first three primary contests. Haley finished a distant third place to Trump in Iowa, lost by over 10 points in New Hampshire, and didn’t even participate in the Nevada Caucus, where Trump secured just over 99 percent of the vote.

“I’m weakening Trump because of who Trump is,” said in South Carolina earlier this week, adding: “Telling the truth in a primary is very important, so that’s what I’m doing.” Despite Trump’s near-insurmountable position in the primary, Haley has remained confident.

As the former Governor of South Carolina prepares for what could be her final stand in her home state’s primary on February 24th, she continues to insist she’ll win the Republican nomination. “I’m going to win,” Haley said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal while again insisting she’d win the nomination: “I’m strengthening the party because I bring more people into the Republican Party, instead of pushing people away like Trump.”

Former President Donald Trump has, for the most part, brushed off Haley’s insistence that she’ll emerge victorious. “It’s bad for the party. I think it’s actually bad for her, too,” he said earlier this week while speaking with the press at Mar-A-Lago. The former Republican President is expected handily win the South Carolina Republican primary on his path to securing a rematch with now-President Joe Biden in November.

Maricopa County SUED For Ignoring Election Laws.

American First Legal has filed a lawsuit against Maricopa County, Arizona, for continuing to violate state election law. The conservative legal group — led by Stephen Miller, a long-time adviser to former President Donald Trump — alleges that the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors and the County Recorder failed to lawfully administer elections for years. The lawsuit asks the Arizona State Superior Court in Maricopa County to issue several legal orders requiring the county government to comply with election statutes in future elections.

During the 2022 mid-term elections, numerous irregularities with how the administration of the county election were documented. The plaintiffs allege county officials failed to maintain the mandatory chain of custody for ballots. This resulted in a discrepancy of over 25,000 votes. Razor-thin margins decided several 2022 state-wide races. The gubernatorial contest saw just 17,117 votes separate now Governor Kaite Hobbs (D) from Kari Lake (R).

One of the most well-documented allegations the lawsuit levels is that the county recorder ignored state law ballot verification procedures. The statute requires ‘human’ election officials to match signatures on early ballots with the respective voter registration record. An AI program was used to verify ballot signatures during the 2022 election. Officials say they intend to use it again in 2024. County officials also face accusations of ignoring mandatory reconciliation procedures to track each ballot printed or issued to a voter.

“The legitimacy of our government relies on the people’s trust that elections are free and fair. Maricopa County’s errors, lapses, and mistakes in administering elections have seriously eroded that trust,” America First Legal counsel James Rogers said in a statement. He added: “This lawsuit seeks to hold Maricopa County accountable for its failures and to restore Arizonans’ trust in their elections.”

DATA: Texas Would Flip Democrat If Haley Were Nominee.

A new poll shows former President Donald Trump continues to hold widespread support in Texas, running 11 points ahead of President Joe Biden. However, if former South Carolina Governor Nimarata ‘Nikki’ Haley were to overcome nearly insurmountable odds and win the Republican presidential nomination, she’d lose the state to Biden. A Democrat presidential nominee has not won Texas since 1976, when Jimmy Carter carried the state over President Gerald Ford.

Texas voters, by a wide margin, believe former President Donald Trump has the best chance of defeating President Joe Biden in November, according to the Redfield & Wilton Strategies survey — with 47 percent saying Trump to Haley’s 19 percent. Among 2020 Trump voters, 75 percent said he was the stronger candidate, compared to just 11 percent naming Haley.

Nearly 70 percent of Texas voters believe the border state is facing an illegal immigration crisis. Among former President Donald Trump’s political base in the state, the number rises to nearly 90 percent. Almost 60 percent of respondents said the Biden government does not have control over the U.S. border with Mexico.

The ongoing invasion of illegal immigrants at the southern border has contributed, in large part, to President Biden’s low approval ratings across the country. Biden’s ratings are underwater in Texas, with a -17 percent net approval. Meanwhile, Texas Governor Greg Abbott — who continues efforts to secure the border in defiance of the Biden government and U.S. Supreme Court — has a net 6 percent approval rating.

Speaker Johnson Dumps DeSantis PAC Consultant Jeff Roe.

House Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-LA) re-election campaign quietly cut ties in late October with its fundraising consulting firm, Fundraising, Inc. The Republican-aligned fundraising company is a subsidiary of Jeff Roe’s Axiom Strategies. Shortly after winning the Speakership, Johnson was told by several House Republican colleagues — at the urging of Trump campaign aides Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles — that it would be prudent to end his campaign’s use of Roe-affiliated companies.

The departure of Johnson as a client of a Jeff Roe-controlled campaign firm is a significant blow to the high-profile Republican political consultant and Axiom Strategies. Meanwhile, some in former President Donald Trump’s inner circle are ramping up efforts to encourage Republican candidates to drop Roe, who had run the Ron DeSantis campaign-aligned SuperPAC Never Back Down. Roe resigned from his role with the SuperPAC in mid-December after infighting between Roe and DeSantis confidant Scott Wagner became public — effectively sidelining the massive pro-DeSantis operation just before the Iowa Caucus. DeSantis dropped out of the Republican presidential primary just one month later.

Roe, known for his bravado, has increasingly rubbed some in Republican Party political circles the wrong way. Critics allege Roe cares more about money than winning his client’s campaigns. They point to his penchant for bragging to potential business investors that Axiom’s network of companies can capture most of a candidate’s campaign spending.

While Roe and his Axiom team ran Never Back Down, nearly half of the SuperPAC’s spending flowed through Roe’s companies. Campaign finance data suggests the pro-DeSantis operation squandered millions in donor dollars paying political consultants — dangerously bloating the SuperPAC’s operating costs. Only a fraction of the budget was spent on tangible campaign efforts.

Biden Admits Defeat to Trump on ‘Border’ Bill Which Prioritizes Ukraine And Encourages MORE Migration.

In remarks delivered at the White House on Tuesday, President Joe Biden acknowledged his efforts to pressure the Senate to pass the Ukraine aid and U.S. border security supplemental funding bill have likely failed. Biden credited former President Donald Trump for rallying Senate Republicans to oppose the legislation, which Congressional Democrats largely backed.

“All indications are this bill won’t even move forward to the Senate floor,” President Biden said before continuing: “Why? A simple reason: Donald Trump.” Biden repeatedly tried to spin his defeat by claiming Trump scuttled the deal to keep the border crisis in play as a 2024 presidential campaign issue.

“Because Donald Trump thinks it’s bad for him politically, therefore … even if it helps the country, he’s not for it, he’d rather weaponize this issue than actually solve it,” the 81-year-old Democrat said, continuing: “So for the last 24 hours, he’s done nothing, I’m told, than reach out to Republicans in the House and the Senate and threaten them and try to intimidate them to vote against this proposal. It looks like they’re caving. Frankly, they owe it to the American people to show some spine and do what they know to be right.”

House and Senate Republican opponents of the Biden-backed legislation have argued the President already has the statutory authority to restrict the flow of immigrants at the southern border. They have also sharply criticized it for prioritizing Democrat proposals to expand guest worker programs and empower Biden government bureaucrats to make asylum decisions instead of immigration courts. Additionally, as The National Pulse reported last week, a provision that Democrats claim would allow Biden to close the border would actually limit the executive authority to do so.

DATA: Trump’s ‘MAGA Inc’ PAC Spent More Efficiently *AND* Effectively Than All Its Opponents.

Campaign finance data shows that Make America Great Again Inc. (MAGA Inc.) was far more efficient in its fundraising efforts and deployment of resources than both the pro-DeSantis Never Back Down Super PAC and the pro-Haley SFA Fund in the second half of 2023. The MAGA Inc. Super PAC, which is supporting former President Donald Trump’s bid to retake the White House, spent less than a quarter of what Never Back Down did on fundraising efforts while simultaneously raising over three times more in donations.

Likewise, the pro-Trump Super PAC spent nearly $20 million less on independent expenditures than Haley’s SFA Fund. Despite the SFA Fund’s large pro-Haley ad buys in Iowa and New Hampshire, Trump won both Republican primary contests by historic numbers, with Haley finishing in a distant third and second place, respectively.

The data also confirms claims that DeSantis’s Never Back Down operation squandered millions of donor dollars on consultants and operational costs — with only a fraction of its massive budget spent on actual campaign efforts. Despite boasting a $130 million budget in the spring of 2023, Never Back Down spent $81.1 million on operating expenditures while only raising an additional $14.5 million in the second half of 2023. The Super PAC’s chief strategist, Jeff Roe, and his consulting firm, Axiom Strategies, were amongst the primary beneficiaries of the high operational spending.

While Super PACs are not legally allowed to coordinate with a candidate’s campaign committee, they can fund independent expenditures in support of their preferred candidate. This support has traditionally come in the form of television and radio ads, campaign mailers, and phone banks. Haley’s SFA Fund spent $61 million on independent expenditures in 2023, while MAGA Inc. and Never Back Down spent $43.8 million and $36.8 million, respectively.

MAGA Inc. finished 2023 with $23.2 million in cash on hand — nearly $10 million more than Never Back Down and $20 million more than the pro-Haley SFA Fund.

Nikki Haley Wants Secret Service Protection.

Former Governor of South Carolina Nimarata ‘Nikki’ Haley has officially requested that the federal government provide Secret Service protection as she continues her campaign for the Republican presidential nomination. Haley said she made the request after her campaign received an uptick in threats against her.

“We’ve had multiple issues,” Haley told The Wall Street Journal on Monday, adding: “It’s not going to stop me from doing what I need to do.” Neither Haley nor her provided any specific details regarding the threats she received.

Secret Service protection is often extended to presidential and vice-presidential candidates when it is determined necessary by the Department of Homeland Security. While protection for candidates is usually granted within 120 days of the presidential election, exceptions are made — usually by order of the President of the United States.

While former President Donald Trump is seen as the presumptive Republican presidential nominee — having won Iowa and New Hampshire in landslides last month — Haley has said she will continue her primary challenge through at least Super Tuesday on March 5th.

At a campaign event last week in South Carolina, Haley’s private security detail tackled a woman who attempted to rush the stage where the candidate was speaking. Haley was also the victim of a swatting incident where local police were falsely called to her home by an unidentified individual. Additionally, her outspoken support for Israel has drawn pro-Hamas protests at campaign events.

“When you do something like this, you get threats,” Haley said at a recent news conference when asked about the threats. “It’s just the reality.”

REPORT: Biden ‘Struggled’ With Boba Tea’s Plastic Lid During Recent Vegas Trip.

President Joe Biden “struggled” with the basic task of using a straw to puncture the plastic film lid of a “boba” or bubble tea drink during a campaign stop in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Monday. According to White House pool reporter Nicholas Nehamas of the New York Times, the 81-year-old Biden required assistance from the shop’s cashier after he was unable to push the straw through his cup’s plastic cover.

From the POLITICO newsletter.

The videos posted by the media following Biden all clip from the moment he orders to the moment he walks out with the drink in hand, apparently editing out the “struggle” and ensuring assistance.

The bubble tea incident came just a day after Biden confused current French President Emmanuel Macron with François Mitterrand, who served as president from 1981 to 1995. Speaking to supporters in Las Vegas on Sunday, Biden claimed he had spoken with Mitterrand at the recent G7 summit, stating: “I sat down and I said, ‘America is back,’ and Mitterand from Germany, I mean France, looked at me, and said, said, ‘You know, why, how long you back for?’” Mitterrand, a staunch French socialist, died in 1996.

Concerns about Biden’s age and mental competency likely contributed to his plummeting approval numbers over the last year. While speaking during the annual White House turkey pardoning past November, which coincided with his 81st birthday, Biden confused musical entertainers Taylor Swift and Britney Spears. A month earlier, in a now infamous moment, while returning from a trip to Israel, Biden struggled to form a complete thought while speaking with reporters on Air Force One. At one point, he simply stared at the reporters for an extended period without saying anything.
