WINNING: Michigan Supreme Court Rejects Trump Ballot Ban Case Brought by Soros, Hamas-Linked Group.

Michigan’s Supreme Court has ruled against petitioners seeking to remove former President Donald Trump from the state’s 2024 primary ballot. “Free Speech For People”, a group who ostensibly filed the lawsuit on behalf of a group of Michigan voters, argued Section 3 of the 14th Amendment bars Trump for holding elected office – alleging Trump had lead an insurrection against the United States on January 6th, 2021.

Free Speech For People is a far-left group funded by George Soros’s fund, the Rockefeller Family Fund, the climate alarmism lobby, and the Hamas-linked Tides Foundation.

With dueling rulings from the Michigan and Colorado State Supreme Courts, the urgency for the United States Supreme Court to settle the matter has only increased. It is expected the legal team for former President Trump will appeal the Colorado ruling to the U.S. Supreme Court this week.

Unlike Colorado, Michigan does not have a provision in their state election law requiring a presidential candidate to present their qualifications for holding office. Michigan Supreme Court Justice Elizabeth Welch wrote the petitioners “…have identified no analogous provision in the Michigan Election Law that requires someone seeking the office of President of the United States to attest to their legal qualification to hold the office.”

Prior to the state’s Supreme Court order, the Michigan Court of Claims and Michigan Court of Appeals held: “At the moment, the only event about to occur is the presidential primary election. But as explained, whether Trump is disqualified is irrelevant to his placement on that particular ballot.”

DeSantis PAC Cancels ALL 2024 Ads In Iowa and New Hampshire.

The embattled Never Back Down SuperPAC, supporting Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s bid for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, is cancelling the remainder of its 2024 airtime reservations in Iowa and New Hampshire. Reports indicate it had reserved about $2.5 million in airtime to run ads on behalf of DeSantis.

Never Back Down has experienced a spectacular collapse over the past month. Arguments over budgets and strategy erupted at the PAC’s board meeting last month, culminating a physical confrontation between the SuperPAC’s chief strategist Jeff Roe and long-time DeSantis fiend and confidant Scott Wagner. “You have a stick up your ass, Scott,” Roe is alleged to have shouted at Wagner, according to witnesses in the room, to which Wagner fired back, taunting, “Why don’t you come over here and get it?” Wagner also reportedly rose from his chair and had to be restrained by other board members.

The incident precipitated mass resignations from the Never Back Down SuperPAC, eventually leaving Wagner in charge. Chris Jankowski, the SuperPAC’s original CEO, resigned over Thanksgiving – as did Adam Laxalt who served a chairman of Never Back Down. Kristin Davison, an employee of Jeff Roe’s Axiom Strategies and protégé of Karl Rove, served only two-weeks as interim CEO before being forced out by Wagner and the SuperPAC’s board. The chaos at the SuperPAC reached its apex last week when chief strategist Jeff Roe resigned from his role.

With just three weeks to go before the Iowa Republicans gather for the state’s 2024 presidential caucus, the collapse of Never Back Down raises serious questions regarding the viability of Ron DeSantis’s candidacy. The Florida Governor’s presidential campaign committee has received little in terms of donor support, relying instead on Never Back Down to finance the primary campaign.

Never Back Down Chairman Scott Wagner told The National Pulse on Friday: “Never Back Down is laser focused on its core mission – running the most advanced grassroots and political caucus operation in this race and helping deliver the GOP nomination for Governor DeSantis who will deliver America from the disastrous policies of the Left. We are thrilled to have Fight Right and others covering the air for Governor DeSantis while we work the ground game in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and beyond.”

Fight Right is a new DeSantis-supporting PAC charged with placing more aggressive ads on TV, especially against Nimrata ‘Nikki’ Haley.

DeSantis Refuses to Withdraw from CO Primary if Trump is Disqualified.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said he will not remove his name form the Colorado ballot if the Colorado Supreme Court‘s order to remove former President Trump’s name is upheld. DeSantis’s fellow Republican presidential primary candidate, Vivek Ramaswamy, challenged DeSantis, Chris Christie, and Nikki Haley to join him removing his name should Trump’s appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court fail.

Ramaswamy stated, “I pledge to withdraw from the Colorado GOP primary ballot until Trump is also allowed to be on the ballot,” before adding, “I demand that Ron DeSantis, Chris Christie, and Nikki Haley do the same immediately.”

RON’S RESPONSE.

“No, I think that’s just playing in to the left,” DeSantis said in an interview on Newsmax earlier today. “I think the case will get overturned by the [U.S.] Supreme Court.” He continued: “I’ve qualified for all of the ballots, I’m competing in all of the states. And I’m going to accumulate the delegates necessary.” At no point did the Florida Governor actually condemn the judicial overreach and anti-democratic ruling by the Colorado justices.

Late last night in a post on X (formerly Twitter), DeSantis’s campaign account was slightly more forceful, stating: “The Left invokes ‘democracy’ to justify its use of power, even if it means abusing judicial power to remove a candidate from the ballot based on spurious legal grounds. SCOTUS should reverse.” Again, however, the Governor fell short of the vocal condemnations made by other Republican officials.

CHRISTIE’S COMMENTS.

Chris Christie, one of Trump’s harshest critics in the Republican primary, emphatically stated, “I do not believe Donald Trump should be prevented  from being President of the United States by any court.” He continued: “I don’t believe it is good for our country if he’s precluded from the ballot by a court.” Regarding the insurrection charge, Christie was blunt, stating there has been no trial convicting Trump of insurrection.

BIRDBRAIN’S BLUSTER.

Speaking to reporters in Iowa, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley gave an equally feckless answer as DeSantis. “I will tell you that I don’t think Donald Trump needs to be president. I think I need to be president. I think that’s good for the country,” responded Haley. She added, “But I will beat him fair and square. We don’t need to have judges making these decisions, we need voters to make these decisions.”

Iowa Republicans ‘MORE LIKELY’ To Support Trump Due to ‘Poisoning the Blood’ Remarks.

Decembers’s Des Moines Register/NBC News/Mediacom poll indicates Iowa Republican caucus goers are more likely than not to agree with former President Donald Trump’s warning that mass immigration and the unchecked flow of drugs is “poisoning the blood of our country.” Of those polled, 42-percent said the remarks made them more likely to back Trump during the January 15th Iowa Caucus. Just 28-percent said it made them less likely to support the former President.

The corporate media has tried to use the “poisoning the blood” line against Trump since he first used the phrase in an interview with The National Pulse’s editor-in-chief Raheem Kassam. “Nobody has ever seen anything like we’re witnessing right now. It is a very sad thing for our country; it’s poisoning the blood of our country… People are coming in with disease, people are coming in with every possible thing that you can have,” Trump told Kassam at the time.

Almost immediately, major American corporate news outlets from the New York Times and MSNBC to CNN pounced on the remarks. MSNBC’s former resident Islamic extremist, Mehdi Hasan, claimed Trump used a “white supremacist/neo-Nazi talking point” while CNN’s Dana Bash said the line was “borrowed from white nationalists.” Neither Hasan nor Bash provided any material evidence for their claims of Trump adopting Hitlerian rhetoric.

Just yesterday, U.S. Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH) took a reporter for the Associated Press to task for exaggerating the former President’s words and trying to tie them to German Nazism and Adolf Hitler. The Ohio Senate noted Trump was obviously talking about the negative impact illegal (not legal) immigrants are having on law and order in the United States – and how President Joe Biden’s open border policies are allowing dangerous drugs like fentanyl to pour into our country, killing tens-of-thousands of Americans a year.

DeSantis Joins Biden in Attacking Trump Over ‘Poisoning the Blood’ Comments.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has joined Democrat President Joe Biden in attacking Donald Trump over his “poisoning the blood” remarks. Trump first made the comments in an interview with The National Pulse’s editor-in-chief-Raheem Kassam, referencing the Biden government allowing the unchecked flow of illegal immigrants into the country – and the dangerous and deadly drugs and violence that come with an open border.

DeSantis – who portends to be the leader of the Republican war-on-woke – told the Christian Broadcasting Network, regarding Trump’s comments: “This is a great issue for us to use against Biden, because this is one of the biggest presidential failures of our life time. When you start talking about using those types of terms, I don’t think that helps us move the ball forward. I would not put it in those terms.”

The DeSantis campaign’s knee-jerk reaction against Trump’s “poisoning the blood” comments come as the former Republican President’s remarks have drawn increased attention from the Democrat incumbent, President Joe Biden. In recent days, Biden has attempted to smear Trump as a white supremacist and someone akin to the German Nazi leader Adolf Hitler. DeSantis’s position is all-the-more-odd since the Florida Governor has routinely claimed to be the GOP’s strongest defender against the leftist ‘woke’ agenda.

Polling of likely Republican Iowa Caucus goers indicate most votes agree with former President Trump’s opinion on Biden’s open border policies. Among Iowa Republicans, 42-percent said Trump’s “poisoning the blood” remarks made them more likely to back Trump during the January 15th Iowa Caucus. Just 28-percent said it made them less likely to support the former President.

DeSantis’s ‘War on Woke’ Ranks LAST as Policy Priority in AmericaFest Straw Poll.

The Turning Point USA 2023 AmericaFest Straw Poll had little good news for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Among conference goers, securing the border, preventing election fraud, and dismantling the deep state ranked as the top three policy priorities – with border security being overall the most intensely important issue. The policy fight of the least importance for attendees at AmericaFest was ending Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and Critical Race Theory (CRT) programs in government – an issue set which has been a core component of DeSantis’s bid for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.

When the DeSantis presidential campaign launched in late May of this year, the Governor’s ‘war on woke’ and handling of the COVID-19 pandemic took center stage over more kitchen table issues like the economy, immigration, and trade. Jeff Roe, who until his recent resignation served as the chief strategist for the pro-DeSantis SuperPAC Never Back Down, had convinced the campaign and PAC the path to primary victory was in relitigating the pandemic and leaning in to the culture war. Some inside the DeSantis campaign viewed this strategy as an attempt to ‘Out-Trump Trump.’

Unfortunately for Gov. DeSantis, Republican primary voters have by-and-large moved on from COVID politics – poll after poll of Republican primary voters show immigration, inflation, the economy, and national security being the top, most intense issues. In most surveys, COVID-19 barely registers a result.

In hindsight, choosing to build a presidential campaign around two low-intensity policy issues explains a high degree of DeSantis’s inability to gain traction among Republican primary voters. The Florida Governor’s campaign has experienced a steady and unrelenting decline in popularity since his late-May announcement.

Xi Tells Biden: Taiwan ‘Will Be Unified’ With China Through Diplomacy or FORCE.

Chinese Communist leader Xi Jinping ominously warned President Joe Biden that mainland China would be unified with Taiwan during their recent summit in San Francisco. The purpose of the summit was, ostensibly, to lower tensions between the United States and China. Instead Xi used it was an opportunity to push China’s agenda South-East Asia in the face of a weak U.S. president.

TENSION IN SAN FRAN.

According to reports, Xi bluntly told Biden it was his preference to take Taiwan peacefully, but the Chinese military would be used if necessary. The Communist leader told Biden the predictions of U.S. military and intelligence officials stating China would move against Taiwan between 2025 and 2027 were incorrect, and his government had no timeframe yet for unification through diplomacy or through force.

Prior to the San Francisco summit, Chinese officials had demanded President Joe Biden acknowledge and back the peaceful unification of Taiwan with the mainland communist state. The Biden government rejected the Chinese demands.

TAIWAN’S ELECTIONS.

The Chinese Communist insistence on unification with Taiwan comes at an extremely dangerous time. On Saturday, January 13, 2024, Taiwan will hold a general election to choose its next president. The current Taiwanese president and leader of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), Tsai Ing-wen, is term-limited. Lai Ching-te, Tsai’s vice-president, has been tapped as Tsai’s DPP successor for the island nation’s top office.

Lai’s competitor for the presidency is the Kuomintang’s (KMT) Hou Yu-ih – a former police officer and mayor of  New Taipei. Ko Wen-je, the former mayor of Taipei, is the Taiwan People’s Party (TPP) nominee and rounds out the three-way race.

Outside observers believe a victory for the DPP could result in an escalation of tensions as they are the least favorable party to the communists in Beijing. The KMT, on the other-hand, has backed more pro-mainland positions and is the most likely party to ease tensions with the communists.

Trump Scores Whopping 83-Percent In AmericaFest Straw Poll.

Former President Donald Trump was far-and-away the preferred 2024 Republican presidential nominee among attendees at Turning Point USA’s 2023 AmericaFest – capturing 83-percent support among the 1,113 surveyed. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy came in second and third, respectively, with just 7.6-percent and 5.8-percent support.

Despite her ‘apparent’ surge in support in the New Hampshire Republican primary, Nikki Haley found little enthusiasm among AmericaFest goers. The former South Carolina Governor only received 1.1-percent in the straw poll, losing out to conference goers who said they were still undecided at 2.5-percent. Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie came in dead-last with less than 0.1-percent, losing out to even the “Someone else” option with 0.3-percent.

While some might find the idea of Trump leading the Republican presidential primary field with 83-percent support outlandish, the AmericaFest Straw Poll isn’t all-that-far-off national Republican presidential primary polling which has shown Trump receiving between 60 and 70-percent of the GOP electorate. Even state specific polls show the former Republican President’s lead to be nearly insurmountable – a recent Iowa Caucus poll put Trump at nearly 60-percent support among Republican caucus goers.

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson and Ramaswamy were the two most popular candidates to serve as Trump’s vice-president. Carlson saw 35-percent support among conference goers compared to Ramaswamy’s 25.7-percent. No other candidates polled in the double-digits.

Ben Carson At TPUSA’s AmFest: Get ‘Focused On Getting Trump Back Into Office’.

Dr. Ben Carson, who led the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development under former President Trump, addressed Turning Point USA’s (TPUSA) annual AmericaFest conference on Monday – warning attendees he sees a Democrat government determined to divide and pit Americans against each other. Carson, rumored to be on Trump’s short list for vice-president in 2024, spoke with TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk, and walked attendees through the story of what made America not just great, but unique among the nations of the world.

The soft-spoken doctor explained America’s youth must realize: “It doesn’t matter where your ancestors came from… you’re better off here than where they came from.” He told Kirk the seeds of division sown by Democrats, race-activists, and those who deny biological reality are akin to the sorts of divisions used by communist and socialist government to divide and conquer their own people. “We are not enemies,” Dr. Carson lamented. “People are trying to divide us…” on race, age, income, gender, and politics.

Dr. Carson explained that as a child and young man he experienced first-hand racism in Chattanooga, Tennessee – going on to praise the progress and strides the country has made since. “We now have black admirals, we had a President,” Carson said, before cracking a smile and humorously noting,”…and a Vice-President, although you don’t see her!” He added, pushing back against leftist accusations American racism is as bad today as it was when he was a boy: “If this country is so bad, why are so many people trying to get in?”

As former President Donald Trump has moved closer to securing the 2024 Republican nomination for president, Dr. Carson’s name has appeared more-and-more in the press as being a potential running mate. At the end of their America Fest interview, Charlie Kirk pressed him on the possibility of serving as Vice-President with Carson demurring: “Well, let me put it this way… right now our energies need to be focused on getting Trump back in office.”

NYT Says Quiet Part Out Loud: ‘Defeating Trump is Just the Start’.

A new column in the New York Times, admits thatdefeating Donald Trump‘ is the first step in a Democrat Party effort tp undermine government institutions serving as bulwarks against radical progressivism – submitting the country to majoritarian democracy instead. The admission is a direct acceptance of Trump’s long-standing campaign phrase: “They’re not just coming after me, they’re coming after you, I’m just standing in the way.”

“The American political system, as I’ve written many times before, is riddled with veto points and counter-majoritarian rules that can stymie even the largest legislative majorities,” argues progressive columnist Jamelle Bouie in the Times. He adds: “One of the key institutions of American government, the Supreme Court, is not only empowered to strike down Congressional legislation but can, if the circumstances are right, limit or even eliminate the constitutional protection of cherished rights.”

The writer went on to revive the favorite left-wing conspiracy claiming the 2000 presidential election was stolen from Al Gore by the U.S. Supreme Court.

MORE THAN TRUMP.

For Bouie, the 2024 presidential election is about much more than Donald Trump. He, and other political progressives, see it as a watershed moment where their allies in Congress and the White House could have the opportunity to radically transform American political life. Moving away from a republican form of government to direct, majoritarian democracy would ensure the domination of radical gender ideology, abortion access, unfettered mass-immigration, and race-based references and quotas.

According to the Times columnist, Democrats must be willing to embrace the most radical inclinations of their party’s ideology. In order to truly defeat the perceived ‘threat’ to American Democracy posed by Trump and the Republican Party, Bouie argues Democrats must recognize “…this country needs an overhaul of its economic system, its political institutions and its public life.”

Despite other Democrats and radical progressives stating views comparable to Bouie’s – which would fundamental end the American republic – the corporate media continues to contend it is Donald Trump who poses the ‘true’ threat.
