Based Tom Cotton Wants to End Birthright Citizenship for Illegal Aliens. Good.

Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) unveiled new legislation on Wednesday to restrict birthright citizenship in the United States. Cotton’s Constitutional Citizenship Clarification Act seeks to amend Section 301 of the Immigration and Nationality Act to bar children of illegal aliens, foreign terrorists, and foreign spies from obtaining U.S. citizenship by birth.

Criminals and terrorists have no right to take advantage of our citizenship laws for their own gain. This bill will protect United States citizenship and ensure it cannot be given under false pretenses,” the Arkansas Senator said after unveiling the legislation.

The legislation clarifies current law, denoting that individuals born in the United States shall not be considered subject to U.S. jurisdiction if their parents are unlawfully present, in the country for diplomatic purposes, or engaged in hostile activities. In addition, the bill aims to codify these exclusions into law, targeting what Cotton refers to as “ambassadors and invaders exceptions” to birthright citizenship.

Former President Donald J. Trump has also backed ending birthright citizenship. The 2024 Republican presidential nominee stated: “As part of my plan to secure the border, on day one of my new term in office, I will sign an executive order making clear to federal agencies that, under the correct interpretation of the law, going forward the future children of illegal aliens will not receive automatic U.S. citizenship.”

Sen. Cotton’s legislation comes amid the Biden government’s ongoing illegal immigration crisis at the U.S. southern border. The National Pulse reported earlier this week that the White House has been using a legal backdoor to grant mass amnesty to hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants. Since 2022, the federal government has terminated over 350,000 asylum cases “without a decision on the merits of their asylum claim,” — allowing them to remain in the U.S. essentially unmonitored.

Biden’s Stealth Amnesty: 350,000 Asylum Cases Terminated Without Review.

The Joe Biden regime appears to be granting “mass amnesty” for hundreds of thousands of migrants by stealth. Since 2022, the federal government has terminated over 350,000 asylum cases “without a decision on the merits of their asylum claim,” — allowing them to remain in the U.S. essentially unmonitored without receiving either a deportation order or a grant of asylum.

“This is just a massive amnesty under the guise of prosecutorial discretion,” said Andrew Arthur, a former immigration judge now with the Center for Immigration Studies. “You’re basically allowing people who don’t have a right to be in the United States to be here indefinitely,” he added.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) sources warn they have seen a spike in migrants committing crimes after their asylum cases were dismissed, pleading with the New York Post to “Please let everyone know what’s really going on.”

PUBLIC SAFETY.

ICE sources and immigration lawyers warn migrants no longer have to report to ICE after their asylum cases are dismissed. They also stress this makes it much harder to deport migrants even if they are caught committing crimes afterward.

“If the migrants, who ICE no longer controls or monitors, commit crimes after the dismissal, ICE will have to start all over and issue a new Notice to Appear in court and start the clock all over again,” one source explained.

Only 4,730 were allowed to remain in the U.S., with no grant of asylum or deportation being handed down in 2020, Donald Trump’s last full year in office. This rose to 18,119 in 2021, higher than any year of Trump’s first term, then exploded to 102,550 in 2022 and 149,305 in 2023. So far, in 2024, 113,843 migrants have been allowed to remain with no asylum decision, on top of 26,514 who have been proactively granted asylum.

Polls show over half of likely voters in the U.S. believe Biden is “encouraging” illegal aliens to enter the United States en masse to “create a permanent majority” for the Democratic Party.

By the end of his term, the 81-year-old is projected to have overseen an illegal immigration influx equivalent to all legal immigration through Ellis Island from 1982 to 1954.

Biden Mulls Work Permits For Illegals in Bizarre Hispanic Outreach Effort.

Joe Biden is considering granting an executive action that would grant temporary legal status and work permits to illegal aliens in the United States, particularly those married to American citizens. National Democrat leaders, pushing the White House to action, believe the move could help push Hispanic voters to support Biden ahead of November’s presidential election.

Progressive lawmakers on Capitol Hill want Biden to pair the expanded work permits and legal status with any potential executive action to stymie the unchecked flow of illegals at the southern border. They contend that combining the two policy changes could help soften blowback from progressive and pro-open border voters should the Biden government try and enact more restrictive border policies.

Lagging behind former President Donald Trump in 2024 election polls, Biden has signaled — and subsequently backed down — on several occasions that he may use his authority as President to block illegal aliens from entering the United States if the number of crossings reaches a certain threshold. Some Democrats and progressive activists have criticized the Democratic incumbent for even considering the border policy change.

While some Democrats believe granting temporary legal status and work permits to the illegal alien spouses of U.S. citizens will help Biden with Hispanic voters, polling data continues to suggest otherwise. The National Pulse has reported on numerous national polls that show Hispanic voters, by and large, oppose Biden’s current open borders policy.

Additionally, Hispanic voters increasingly say they support the use of the term “illegal immigrant” to describe unauthorized border crossers. Support for mass deportation of illegal aliens — especially those who commit crimes — is also on the rise with Hispanic voters.

Biden, Zuckerberg Allies Use Baltimore Bridge Collapse to Demand MORE Cheap Illegal Labor.

As Joe Biden visits the Francis Scott Key Bridge wreckage in Baltimore, Maryland, the President’s allies — including progressive lawmakers and corporate special interest groups — are using the immigrant deaths to renew a push for the mass legalization of illegal immigrants working low-wage jobs. The bridge collapsed after being struck by a shipping vessel on March 26 — with six immigrant workers killed in the disaster.

Proponents of mass amnesty for illegals contend that illegal aliens who have worked and paid taxes in the U.S. for decades are entitled to the legitimacy of a work permit. Organizations such as the American Business Immigration Coalition (ABIC) and FWD.us — a progressive advocacy group co-founded by Facebook‘s Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan — are spearheading the effort.

Critics argue this press for immigration legislation unfairly utilizes the tragic bridge disaster as leverage and neglects American citizens. Chris Chmielenski, the president of the Immigration Accountability Project, told Breitbart that the corporate media is “choosing — whether consciously or not — to ignore the fact that these immigrant workers are being exploited at the expense of American workers who are willing to take these jobs.”

Since President Biden took office, more than 13.7 million illegal immigrants have entered the U.S., displacing native-born workers. The National Pulse previously reported that almost all of the jobs gained by the U.S. economy since the start of Biden’s term have been fueled by migrant labor. This led the Biden government and its progressive allies to quietly push executive actions to work around the immigration limits set by Congress in 1990.

Fox/Univision Promoted Illegal Migrant Amnesty at GOP Debate.

Fox and Univision swerved even further to the left last night, with the network pushing the idea of implementing a mass amnesty for illegal aliens and finding a “solution” for so-called “Dreamers” at the latest GOP primary debate.

Moderator Ilia Calderón, a foreign journalist, introduced a truncated clip of Ronald Reagan talking about an amnesty for illegal aliens in 1984, ultimately extended to some three million migrants three years later.

Addressing Chris Christie specifically, the Colombian noted he had supported a so-called “path to citizenship” for illegal aliens as Governor of New Jersey, only to change his position during his failed presidential run in 2016. “Where do you stand now on a path to citizenship on 11 million of undocumented immigrants [sic]?” she asked.

The segment confirmed news Fox was attempting to “shift candidates to the left” on immigration first broken by The National Pulse editor-in-chief, who warned conservatives the network intended to try and use old footage of Ronald Reagan to bolster its pro-amnesty agenda.

While Christie dodged the question, Calderón was back to pushing similar talking points later in the debate, insisting that Dreamers – illegal aliens brought to the United States as youths and granted status under Barack Obama’s unlawful Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy – “work  and pay taxes”, and asking Mike Pence if he would “work with Congress to reach a permanent solution for Dreamers.”

Like Christie, Pence did not answer the question, resorting to vague platitudes about “our broken immigration system” before moving on to irrelevant commentary on China and spending levels in Florida under Ron DeSantis.
