Missouri Sues Biden-Harris DOJ Over Election Interference.

Missouri’s Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft and Attorney General Andrew Bailey are suing the Biden-Harris Department of Justice (DOJ) over allegations that the federal government is interfering in the state’s election process. The lawsuit claims the DOJ is dispatching unauthorized monitors to polling locations in St. Louis in contravention of several federal statutes and the Supreme Court’s Shelby County v. Holder decision.

“To secure elections, Missouri exercised that traditional authority by enacting a law that strictly limits who, besides voters, can be present in a polling location,” the court filing states, adding: “Poll monitors employed by DOJ are not on that list. Yet without specifically citing any federal authority authorizing its actions, DOJ announced on Friday November 1 its intent to displace Missouri law and place unauthorized poll monitors in polling locations in the City of St. Louis.”

Ashcroft and Bailey note in the filing that the Biden-Harris DOJ attempted a similar move during the 2022 midterm elections. However, the DOJ reversed its decision after Ashcroft argued in a letter that they lacked statutory authority.

“No one is above the law,” the Missouri Secretary of State said in a statement on Monday. He added: “The law clearly and specifically limits who may be in polling places and this action by the DOJ is not allowed. Once again the federal government is attempting to illegally interfere in Missouri’s elections.”

“Two years ago, we met with the DOJ. We showed them the law and explained that they have no jurisdiction to interfere in Missouri elections. Now they are doing the same thing; trying to go through the back door by contacting local election officials and making false jurisdictional claims for access rather than contacting my office directly,” Ashcroft continued before concluding: “It would be highly inappropriate for federal agents to violate the law by intimidating Missouri voters and harassing poll workers.”

Far-Left Judge Blocks Investigation Into Soros-Funded Media Matters.

A foreign-born federal judge with a history of anti-Trump rulings has paused Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey‘s investigation into the Media Matters for America activist group, funded by far-left plutocrat George Soros.

AG Bailey argues Media Matters “has used fraud to solicit donations from Missourians in order to trick advertisers into removing their advertisements from X, formerly Twitter, one of the last platforms dedicated to free speech in America.”

India-born U.S. District Judge Amit P. Mehta has granted a preliminary injunction blocking Bailey’s investigation, insisting “Missouri’s interest in enforcing its consumer protection laws must give way when a state actor uses them to retaliate against a media organization for protected speech.”

The Barack Obama appointee has already granted a similar injunction blocking Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton from investigating Media Matters.

Bailey and Paxton were prompted to begin the investigation by Media Matters embarking on what X owner Elon Musk describes as a “fraudulent attack” on the social media platform, “manipulating X’s algorithm to artificially force placement of the ads next to extremist content” and sparking an advertiser boycott. Musk is suing the Soros group over the stunt, accusing them of “attempt[ing] to undermine freedom of speech and mislead advertisers.”

Judge Mehta has a history of rulings against Donald Trump and his associates. For instance, he imprisoned former Trump adviser Peter Navarro in January for defying a subpoena issued by the corrupt January 6 Committee. In 2022, he ruled it is “plausible” that Trump intended to overthrow democracy on January 6, 2021.

Missouri AG Sues Biden, Harris Over Illegal Immigrant Border Flights Into State.

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey (R) has announced a lawsuit against the Biden-Harris government over the transportation of illegal immigrants into Missouri. Bailey stated his intention to sue President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for allegedly withholding information on flights carrying illegals into the state.

In May, Representative Mark Alford (R-MO) and other GOP lawmakers from Missouri sent a letter to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. They demanded clarity on the transport of illegal aliens facilitated by the Biden government’s Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela (CHNV) parole program. The lawmakers expressed concerns that since January 2023, over 400,000 illegals have entered the United States through this program.

Bailey has criticized Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas for his stance on welcoming illegal immigrants for work. Bailey pointed out that a Venezuelan individual who had bypassed U.S. immigration laws and was granted a work permit under the Biden-Harris parole policy was involved in a violent crime. The individual is accused of murdering college student named Laken Hope Riley in Georgia in February.

Bailey’s criticism extends to the broader issue of illegal immigrants overwhelming social services in major U.S. cities and committing crimes. He accused Mayor Lucas of encouraging the arrival of illegal immigrants to Missouri, a claim Lucas initially supported by saying, “All are welcome in Kansas City.” However, Lucas now claims his statement applied only to individuals lawfully present with valid work permits.

Missouri AG Files SCOTUS Legal Challenge Against Trump NY Case.

Attorney General Andrew Bailey of Missouri has initiated legal action against the State of New York, alleging that its handling of former President Donald Trump’s so-called hush money trial infringed on the First Amendment rights of Missouri residents.

Bailey contends that the legal proceedings and the associated gag orders imposed on Trump restrain the former president from speaking freely during his 2024 reelection campaign, thereby affecting the rights of Missourians to hear him.

The lawsuit petitions the Supreme Court and requests a declaration that New York unlawfully interfered with the presidential election process. Additionally, it seeks to postpone Trump’s upcoming sentencing until after the conclusion of the November election. Finally, it demands the removal of any gag orders against Trump.

Trump’s sentencing in the case was already delayed until September following a motion by Trump’s attorneys that was not opposed by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg earlier this week. The motion argues the recent Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity invalidates the New York conviction.

Bailey argues the requested measures are critical to ensuring that Missourians have unimpeded access to Trump’s viewpoints as they make their decisions in the forthcoming election. According to the lawsuit, the restrictions on Trump’s speech represent a significant overreach and censorship that deprives the public of critical information.

New York’s response to the lawsuit has not yet been publicly disclosed. Observers suggest the case could set a precedent regarding the extent to which legal actions can impact political campaigns and voters’ rights to access unfiltered communications from candidates.

The Supreme Court’s response to Bailey’s petition will be closely watched for its implications on future interactions between state law enforcement actions and federal electoral processes.

Planned Parenthood Resists Probe Into Transing Kids.

Planned Parenthood in Missouri is stonewalling an investigation into its “treatment” of transgender kids, refusing to comply with a court order to release treatment records.

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey won a court battle against Planned Parenthood, with St. Louis Circuit Judge Michael Stelzer ruling the abortion provider cannot use Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations to avoid revealing whether it has subjected minors to transgender therapies.

Bailey described the judgment as significant for his investigation into transgender health clinics’ “treatment” of minors in Missouri. However, only the Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City has surrendered documents following legal victories over three clinics. Planned Parenthood Great Plains has appealed to maintain its document privacy, and Planned Parenthood St. Louis, which was ordered to release files, has yet to comply.

Bailey has expressed concerns over Planned Parenthood’s non-compliance and promised continued legal actions to protect children and bring clarity.

“It’s extremely questionable that Planned Parenthood is actively stonewalling our investigations,” he said. “I had to haul them into court in order to get a judge to force them to turn over the documents we’ve requested.”

Judge Stelzer ruled Bailey “is investigating possible dishonesty by [Planned Parenthood] in their medical and billing practices” and affirmed the AG’s “broad investigative powers when the consumer is in possible need of protection.”

Missouri banned the administration of puberty blockers, hormones, and other transgender medical interventions to children in August 2023.

George Soros’s Media Matters is Finally Being Investigated.

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey (R) is asking a state court to enforce a civil investigative demand as part of his investigation into potential advertising fraud committed by the left-wing non-profit Media Matters for America in a campaign against Elon Musk’s X (formerly Twitter). The civil investigative demand — which functions similarly to a subpoena — would clear the way for Bailey to investigate the Democrat-aligned non-profit for potential violations of the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act.

“Media Matters has used fraud to solicit donations from Missourians in order to trick advertisers into removing their advertisements from X, formerly Twitter, one of the last platforms dedicated to free speech in America,” wrote the Missouri Attorney General in the court filing. He added: “Media Matters has pursued an activist agenda in its attempt to destroy X because they cannot control it.”

The Missouri Merchandising Practice Act covers “any deception, fraud, false pretense, false promise, misrepresentation, unfair practice or the concealment, suppression, or omission of any material fact” used by non-profit groups to solicit monetary contributions from state residents. Bailey’s office alleges that Media Matters for America engaged “through coordinated, inauthentic behavior” in a campaign to “defame the organization [X] and cause advertisers to pull their support from the platform, thus harming free speech.” He additionally alleges the group used their campaign to raise money from Missouri residents under false pretenses.

Media Matters allegedly manipulated the X algorithm to ensure corporate advertisements would appear next to “pro-Nazi” content. The group then is accused of having used the manipulated data to public a report suggesting that X, owned by Elon Musk, was promoting pro-Nazi content. This claim led to prominent brands like Walmart, Apple, and Disney pulling advertisements.

This case mirrors a similar investigation in Texas, where Attorney General Ken Paxton is scrutinizing Media Matters for potential fraudulent activities regarding their report on X. Additionally, Musk has filed a lawsuit against Media Matters over the alleged manipulation of the social media platform’s algorithm.

Missouri AG Sues Planned Parenthood for Trafficking Minors for Abortions.

Missouri Republican Attorney General Andrew Bailey sued Planned Parenthood on Thursday for “trafficking minors” across state borders to receive abortions without parental consent.

“This is the beginning of the end for Planned Parenthood in the State of Missouri,” Bailey declared in announcing the lawsuit. “Our children are the future. It is time to eradicate Planned Parenthood once and for all to end this pattern of abhorrent, unethical, and illegal behavior.”

The lawsuit, which targets Planned Parenthood’s Great Plains chapter, alleges numerous unlawful activities, including the clandestine transportation of minors for abortions.

Evidence supporting the lawsuit lies in an undercover video that the activist group Project Veritas captured. The footage depicts an exchange between a Planned Parenthood staff member and an imposter seeking an abortion for a minor. The lawsuit cites allegations of Planned Parenthood’s regular engagement in this illegal activity, with one Planned Parenthood employee quoted in the lawsuit as saying they break the law “every day, every day, every day.” The lawsuit also claims Planned Parenthood has violated other laws, specifically concerning the non-disclosure of complications during procedures.

Planned Parenthood Chapter President and CEO Emily Wales denied the allegations of transporting patients across state lines.

Missouri AG Alleges Soros’s Media Matters Defrauded Public, Launches Probe.

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey has notified the far-left group Media Matters – which works to de-platform conservative voices in media – they are the subject of an investigation by his office for the “fraudulent solicitation of donations from Missourians.”

According to the Attorney General, Media Matters deceptively manipulated the X (formerly Twitter) algorithm in an effort to exaggerate the presence of extremist and harmful content as part of a campaign urging advertisers to cut ties with the site. The fraudulent results were also used to raise money from Missourians.

“We have reason to believe Media Matters used fraud to solicit donations from Missourians in order to trick advertisers into pulling out of X, the last platform dedicated to free speech in America,” Bailey said, adding: “Radicals are attempting to kill Twitter because they cannot control it, and we are not going to let Missourians get ripped off in the process.”

Media Matters is accused of potentially violating Missouri consumer protection laws and engaging in unlawful business practices. The Attorney General specifically sites Mo. Rev. Stat. § 407.020.1 which bars nonprofit entities from soliciting funds under false pretenses. As part of the investigation, Bailey has ordered Media Matters to “…preserve all records that may relate to your alleged effort to engage in coordinated, inauthentic behavior on social media platforms in order to generate false statements that were used to solicit charitable contributions under false pretenses.”

The Missouri investigation is just the latest to target the Soros-funded group. Last month, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced his office had opened a fraud probe into whether Media Matters had violated the Texas Business Organizations Code and the Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

Elon Musk, the owner of X (formerly Twitter) has filed a federal lawsuit against Media Matters accusing the  Soros-backed group of undermining freedom of speech and deceiving advertisers.
