EU Asylum Claims Expected to Exceed 1M in 2023.

The European Union is projected to receive a stunning ONE MILLION asylum claims by the end of 2023, after the number of applications soared to more than 519,000 in the first six months of the year. Notably, these figures do not include the over four million Ukrainians who have fled to Western Europe since the war began last February.

The number of claims has skyrocketed over the past 24 months, and is approaching the height of the migration crisis of 2015/16, during which applications exceeded a million. This year has seen a 28 percent increase in claims compared to last year, which itself witnessed a 53 percent increase compared to 2021.

European nations do not have the processing capacity to handle the increase in applications, as the case backlog has also increased by 34 percent over the past six months.

Syrian nationals sent the largest number of applications, followed by other nationalities, including Afghanis, Turks, and Russians.

“Together, these parallel trends pose significant challenges to EU+ asylum and reception systems authorities, so much so that by June 2023, the EUAA was offering operational assistance to 13 Member States,” stated a press release by the European Union’s asylum agency.

Britain’s Failed Asylum Seekers Won’t Be Removed Until 2036.

Failed asylum seekers in the United Kingdom (UK) will not face removal until 2036 if the British government continues to deal with asylum cases at the current rate. There are currently around 40,000 people waiting to be removed from the country, yet only 3,000 cases are processed every year.

The British government has also “cut” as many as 6,000 asylum cases off its lists “by the back door,” meaning they’ve written off thousands of cases if seekers fail to attend appointments, interviews, or hearings. But even this has done little to impact the growing number of cases.

Around 15,000 illegal migrants crossed the English Channel from France this year alone, building on 2022’s record-breaking 45,755. The UK taxpayer pays around £7 million every day to house illegal migrants in hotels across the country.

A spokesman for the Home Office, however, defended the government’s policies on illegal migration, stating, “The government is tackling illegal immigration and the harm it causes by removing those with no right to be in the UK.”

‘Asylum Seeker’ Stabs Babies in Strollers.

A man who has identified himself as a Syrian asylum seeker is in custody after a mass stabbing targeting a group of children aged around three years old, as well as an elderly bystander.

The attack took place on Thursday, in a public park in Annecy, a French town close to Switzerland.

Details of the incident are still emerging, with the BBC reporting that the children were “on a morning outing with their parents and minders when a man wielding a knife suddenly appeared and began to stab them, some in their pushchairs [prams].”

After fleeing the scene, the Syrian fell on an elderly man walking nearby, stabbing him as well. Police then intercepted the stabber, shooting him in the legs and taking him into custody.

Reports indicate that, as of the time of publication, there are five injured, with the elderly man and two children in hospital in critical condition.

The suspect, said to be 45, was at large in the country despite his asylum claim not having been processed. A disturbing video of the incident has been posted to Twitter.

UK’s ‘Conservative’ Govt Deports LOWEST EVER Number of Failed Asylum Seekers, Foreign Criminals.

The United Kingdom (UK) refused entry to tens of thousands of failed asylum seekers and foreign criminals in 2022, as well actively deporting around 3,500: the lowest number on record.

According to the House of Commons Library, there were 74,751 asylum claims registered last year, raising the overall asylum caseload to 166,100 cases – double that of 2014.

Of those, more than 100,000 were still “awaiting an initial decision,” and another 4,900 were “awaiting the outcome of an appeal.”

As of 2022, the UK’s asylum refusal rate was at its lowest point since 1990, with less than one-quarter – 23 percent – of cases being refused, resulting in deportation.

In 2022 almost half of the asylum seekers – 44 percent – who had their application refused were able to appeal and have the initial decision reversed, according to the UK Refugee Council.

Germany has a refusal rate of 48.5 percent, in comparison. France has a first instance refusal rate of 82 percent. The last time the UK was anywhere near that number was 2004.

The UK has become a “last resort” for failed asylum seekers, argues Migration Watch UK.

“This is a total failure,” states former UKIP and Brexit Party Leader Nigel Farage.

This news comes as net migration to the UK is now the highest on record at around 606,000.
