Hundreds of Marines Mobilized to Restore Order in LA: Report.

PULSE POINTS:

What Happened: A battalion of U.S. Marines is reportedly being mobilized to relieve National Guard soldiers tasked with protecting federal property amid violent pro-illegal immigrant riots in Los Angeles, California.

👥 Who’s Involved: The U.S. Marine Corps, President Donald J. Trump, Governor Gavin Newsom (D), Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass (D), the California National Guard, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), and violent pro-illegal immigrant rioters.

📍 Where & When: The riots began in Los Angeles over the weekend, while reports of a possible mobilization of the Marine battalion first surfaced late Monday afternoon on June 9, 2025.

⚠️ Impact: It is believed the Marines will relieve some of the National Guard soldiers who have previously been deployed to protect federal property, though, unless President Trump invokes the Insurrection Act, neither the Guard troops nor the Marines are legally allowed to arrest and detain any rioters.

IN FULL:

A battalion of Marines, estimated to number around 700, is allegedly being mobilized to join 2,000 National Guard soldiers in Los Angeles, California, to secure and protect federal property amid ongoing pro-illegal immigration riots in the city. The detachment, believed to originate from the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in California, comes after a weekend of violent riots broke out across Los Angeles, with demonstrators setting fire to cars, blocking highways, and attempting to storm a federal illegal immigration detention facility.

Currently, 2,000 members of the National Guard have been called up in California, though only about 300 of them have been deployed to the streets. Notably, this move came after the Democratic Mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass, resisted dispatching the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) to restore order until the situation had already spiraled out of control. So far, over 150 people have been arrested by the LAPD, and a number of businesses and other properties have been damaged.

The National Guard soldiers and Marines are being tasked with property protection only. Under law, they are not allowed to engage in policing action on American soil unless President Donald J. Trump invokes the Insurrection Act. Already, Governor Gavin Newsom (D-CA) is suing the Trump administration, seeking a federal court order blocking the federalization and deployment of the National Guard soldiers.

Notably, the National Pulse reported earlier on Monday that the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA), one of the lead organizers of the demonstrations, received nearly $34 million in grants from California and has strong ties to the Democrats.

Violent anti-ICE and pro-illegal immigrant demonstrations have broken out beyond Los Angeles, with 60 individuals being arrested in San Francisco.

Newsom Sues Trump for Deploying National Guard Against Anti-ICE Rioters.

PULSE POINTS:

What Happened: California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) plans to sue the Trump administration over the federalization of the state’s National Guard following violent riots in support of illegal immigrants in Los Angeles.

👥 Who’s Involved: Gov. Gavin Newsom, President Donald J. Trump, rioters in Los Angeles, federal agents, and White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson.

📍 Where & When: Los Angeles, California; protests escalated over the weekend, with Newsom’s lawsuit expected to be filed on Monday.

💬 Key Quote: Newsom: “Donald Trump has created the conditions you see on your TV tonight. He’s exacerbated the conditions… an illegal act, an immoral act, an unconstitutional act.”

⚠️ Impact: Protests against federal immigration enforcement turning violent prompted Trump to deploy 2,000 National Guard members to restore order and protect federal property. Newsom claims the move violated state sovereignty.

IN FULL:

California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) is preparing to sue the Trump administration after President Donald J. Trump federalized California’s National Guard to respond to violent riots in Los Angeles over the weekend. Far-left protestors and illegal immigrants demonstrating against federal immigration enforcement actions turned destructive, prompting Trump to activate roughly 2,000 National Guard members to protect federal property.

The protests began Friday after federal agents detained dozens of individuals suspected of being in the United States illegally. By Sunday night, what started as demonstrations escalated into riots, with agitators clashing with Los Angeles police and federal law enforcement, blocking roads, and setting vehicles ablaze before the National Guard was activated.

Speaking to MSNBC on Sunday, Newsom alleged: “Donald Trump has created the conditions you see on your TV tonight. He’s exacerbated the conditions… an illegal act, an immoral act, an unconstitutional act.” He claimed the federal government bypassed established protocols requiring coordination with state governors before deploying the National Guard. “There’s a protocol, there’s a process. He didn’t care about that,” Newsom claimed, adding that the state would challenge the action in court.

The Democrat governor argued that Trump’s actions exacerbated tensions, accusing him of “putting fuel on this fire.” Newsom’s lawsuit, expected to be filed Monday, will focus on the claim that the federalization of the National Guard violated state sovereignty.

Meanwhile, White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson defended the administration’s actions, stating, “President Trump rightfully stepped in to restore law and order because of Gavin Newsom’s feckless leadership and his refusal to stop the violent attacks on American law enforcement.”

Jackson said of Newsom’s allegations, “It’s a bald-faced lie… Everyone saw the chaos, violence, and lawlessness—unless, of course, Gavin Newsom doesn’t think any of that is a problem.”

DATA: Majority of Americans Support Trump’s Deportation Policy.

PULSE POINTS:

What Happened: New survey data shows a majority of Americans support President Donald J. Trump’s mass deportation of illegal immigrants.

👥 Who’s Involved: President Trump, illegal immigrants, and American voters.

📍 Where & When: The polling was conducted between June 4-6, 2025

⚠️ Impact: The data suggests that Americans, by and large, continue to support the Trump administration’s immigration policies, though corporate media narratives regarding “due process” do appear to be influencing poll respondents.

IN FULL:

A majority of Americans say they approve of President Donald J. Trump‘s mass deportation of illegal immigrants, with nearly half stating they believe it makes America safer. The survey, conducted by CBS News, shows only 46 percent of respondents disapprove of the Trump administration’s removal of illegal immigrants from the United States, while 54 percent approve. Additionally, just 30 percent of respondents say they believe the mass deportations make America less safe.

Notably, the data indicates that 49 percent of Americans say President Trump is currently deporting more illegal immigrants than they expected. Just 41 percent of respondents say the number of illegal immigrants removed from the country is less than they expected.

While the survey shows relatively broad support for the Trump administration’s immigration policies, over 60 percent of respondents said they believe those slated for deportation should receive a court hearing before removal. The Trump White House has contended that allowing for a court hearing for each illegal immigrant would be logistically impossible, invoking the Alien Enemies Act and other executive branch powers to speed up removals.

The National Pulse reported in April that President Trump, responding to judicial interference in deportations, stated: “A judge can’t say, ‘You know, you have to have a trial.’ The trial is going to take two years. No, we’re going to have a very dangerous country if we’re not allowed to do what we’re entitled to do. And I won an election based on the fact that we get them out.”

The America First leader has repeatedly noted the double standard in the courts, which enabled the Biden government to ignore the law and allow millions of unvetted illegal immigrants into the country, but are now resistant to Trump’s plan to remove the illegal immigrants swiftly.

Dems Launch Summer Riots 2.0.

Over the weekend, anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles devolved into violent riots while Democrat lawmakers looked the other way—forcing President Donald Trump to deploy the National Guard.

The details: The violence began after ICE conducted coordinated raids that led to the arrests of roughly 45 illegal aliens. Rioters were filmed hurling objects at ICE, setting cars on fire, vandalizing property, looting, blocking highway traffic, and waving foreign flags (mostly the Mexican flag).

The organizers: Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA), one of the lead organizers of the demonstrations, received nearly $34 million in grants from California and has strong ties to the Democrat party.

  • Signs seen at the demonstrations were printed by the Party for Socialism and Liberation, which has been linked to Elias Rodriguez, who shot and killed two Israeli staffers last month in D.C.

What the left is saying: LA Mayor Karen Bass blamed Trump for the riots, saying: “What we’re seeing in Los Angeles is chaos that is provoked by the administration.”

  • The politicized LAPD called the riots “peaceful protests.”
  • Senator Cory Booker repeatedly characterized the chaos as “peaceful protests.”

Trump sends in the troops: Trump activated the California National Guard, deploying 2,000 to Los Angeles on Sunday morning to end the violence. On Saturday night, Trump wrote on Truth Social:

  • “If Governor Gavin Newscum, of California, and Mayor Karen Bass, of Los Angeles, can’t do their jobs, which everyone knows they can’t, then the Federal Government will step in and solve the problem, RIOTS & LOOTERS, the way it should be solved!!!”
  • The U.S. Northern Command also said it had 500 U.S. Marines ready to quell the riots if needed.
  • Newsom responded on X, writing: “Trump is trying to manufacture a crisis in LA County — deploying troops not for order, but to create chaos.” When he wrote this, LA had already been burning for 48 hours.

Zoom out: The illegal aliens that were arrested by ICE in the raids that sparked the riots included murderers, sex offenders, and other violent criminals.

The latest: Sunday night, the LAPD had to declare an “unlawful assembly” as rioters refused to disperse. And late Sunday night, President Trump urged Los Angeles to “BRING IN THE TROOPS.”

Reuniting the right: After a week-long public fight with Trump, Elon Musk took to X to share the president’s Truth Social posts with “🇺🇸🇺🇸” as the caption.

Real talk from G: I know violence and chaos are key tenets of the Democrat playbook. But most Americans will not sympathize with thugs waving Mexican flags while they bash police with pieces of concrete. The left played this hand in 2020, and now they’re overplaying it—empowering President Trump to send in troops to end the mess.

Court Says Trump CAN Ban Fake News AP From White House.

PULSE POINTS:

What Happened: A federal appeals court has stayed a lower court order that forced President Donald J. Trump to allow the Associated Press (AP) to have White House access. The judicial panel found that the Trump White House is likely to ultimately succeed against the litigation brought by the AP.

👥 Who’s Involved: President Donald J. Trump, the Associated Press, and the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.

📍 Where & When: The ruling was issued on Friday, June 6, 2025.

💬 Key Quote: “The White House is likely to succeed on the merits because these restricted presidential spaces are not First Amendment fora opened for private speech and discussion,” the justices found.

⚠️ Impact: The stay order means the Trump White House can move forward with their decision to bar the Associated Press from White House events and press pool privileges on Air Force One and other presidential venues.

IN FULL:

A federal appeals court has ruled that President Donald J. Trump can ban the Associated Press (AP) from White House access. On Friday, the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit handed down an order staying a lower court ruling that had ordered President Trump to restore press access to the AP, stating: “The White House is likely to succeed on the merits because these restricted presidential spaces are not First Amendment fora opened for private speech and discussion.”

“The White House therefore retains discretion to determine, including on the basis of viewpoint, which journalists will be admitted,” Circuit Court Justices Neomi Rao and Gregory Katsas write, adding: “Moreover, without a stay, the government will suffer irreparable harm because the injunction impinges on the President’s independence and control over his private workspaces.”

The ruling follows a Federal District Court decision in April to issue an injunction against the Trump White House’s ban on the AP. District Court Judge Trevor McFadden, at the time, determined that the ban was “contrary to the First Amendment” and ruled that the Trump White House must “put the AP on an equal playing field as similarly situated outlets, despite the AP’s use of disfavored terminology.” The AP was initially banned from the White House over the publication’s refusal to use the official government term, the “Gulf of America,” instead of the “Gulf of Mexico.”

Friday’s decision marks a significant legal win in the ongoing lawfare efforts by the Democratic Party and allied organizations to undermine President Trump and his agenda. Federal judges have controversially intervened in the America First leader’s efforts to deport dangerous and criminal illegal immigrants from the country, with Trump allies accusing the courts of overstepping their constitutional authority and interfering with executive branch powers.

Trump Trade Team Will Meet With Chinese Officials in London on Monday.

PULSE POINTS:

What Happened: President Donald J. Trump’s economic team will meet with Chinese representatives in London on Monday to advance trade deal negotiations.

👥 Who’s Involved: President Donald J. Trump, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent, Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, and United States Trade Representative Jamieson Greer.

📍 Where & When: The Monday meeting was announced on Friday, June 6.

💬 Key Quote: “I am pleased to announce that Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent, Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, and United States Trade Representative, Ambassador Jamieson Greer, will be meeting in London on Monday, June 9, 2025, with Representatives of China, with reference to the Trade Deal,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social on Friday. He added, “The meeting should go very well. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

⚠️ Impact: The meeting indicates that negotiations between the United States and China continue apace.

IN FULL:

President Donald J. Trump announced on Friday that his White House economic team will be meeting with their Chinese counterparts in London, England, on Monday, June 9, to continue talks about a long-term bilateral trade deal between the two nations. In May, President Trump and China’s President Xi Jinping agreed to a temporary pause in tariffs the two nations placed on each other’s exports while a more permanent agreement was negotiated.

“I am pleased to announce that Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent, Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, and United States Trade Representative, Ambassador Jamieson Greer, will be meeting in London on Monday, June 9, 2025, with Representatives of China, with reference to the Trade Deal,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social on Friday. He added, “The meeting should go very well. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

The temporary trade truce from May has faced numerous allegations of being violated by China. The National Pulse reported at the end of May that President Trump accused Beijing of violating the truce’s terms by continuing to restrict U.S. imports. That allegation was followed up by accusations by the U.S. and EU on Thursday that China has continued to restrict its exports of rare earth minerals, despite pledging to lift export controls in the May truce agreement.

Notably, the London meeting comes just hours after President Trump and Xi spoke on the phone regarding the state of the trade negotiations. Following the conversation, Trump took to his Truth Social platform to comment on his Chinese counterpart, writing, “I like President XI of China, always have, and always will, but he is VERY TOUGH, AND EXTREMELY HARD TO MAKE A DEAL WITH!!!”

Patel: CCP Orchestrating Fentanyl Crisis to ‘Take Out Generations of Young Men and Women’ in America.

PULSE POINTS:

❓ What Happened: Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel accused the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) of using fentanyl to target American youth, describing it as a deliberate strategy to weaken the U.S. during an interview on The Joe Rogan Experience.

👥 Who’s Involved: Kash Patel, the FBI, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and America’s Five Eyes partners.

📍 Where & When: Patel spoke on The Joe Rogan Experience, with the interview airing on June 6, 2025.

💬 Key Quote: “The Chinese… have used [fentanyl] as a directed approach… to take out generations of young men and women,” Patel said.

⚠️ Impact: Patel’s accusations highlight Trump’s America First focus on national security and intensifying efforts to combat the CCP’s role in the fentanyl crisis, killing over 100,000 Americans annually.

IN FULL:

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel, speaking on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, accused the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) of orchestrating the fentanyl crisis to undermine American youth. “The Chinese… have used [fentanyl] as a directed approach because we are their adversary,” Patel said, warning that the CCP aims to “take out generations of young men and women” who could otherwise become soldiers, police officers, and so on. He called it a “long-term plan” to weaken the U.S.

Patel detailed the FBI’s “massive enterprise to go after fentanyl precursor companies in mainland China,” where “the fentanyl precursors, the stuff you need to make fentanyl, comes from.” He noted, “They’ve got hundreds of companies… shipping this stuff out into the world.”

He said China had restricted exports of one fentanyl precursor, but “there’s 14 others they’re still shipping” to cartels in Mexico, India, and Vancouver, Canada, bypassing U.S. security.

Patel cited over 100,000 annual U.S. overdose deaths as a “tier one” national security threat, highlighting the CCP’s seemingly selective targeting of Americans. “You don’t hear fentanyl deaths in China… India… England, Australia, New Zealand, or… Canada,” he noted, saying the FBI is now working with Five Eyes partners Britain, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand and orchestrating sanctions on Chinese firms to disrupt supply chains.

Patel slammed the former Joe Biden government for ignoring this “national security crisis” in favor of obsessing over climate change and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). He pledged, “We will not have kids dying of fentanyl overdoses in our streets” under the Trump administration, vowing to intensify efforts against the CCP’s role in the epidemic.

KASSAM: Musk’s Ouster Proves MAGA Can’t be Bought Like Tea Party Was.

PULSE POINTS:

❓What Happened: Raheem Kassam, Editor-in-Chief of The National Pulse, welcomed the end of Elon Musk’s influence in the Trump administration, saying it protects the MAGA movement from being co-opted by oligarchs.

👥 Who’s Involved: Raheem Kassam, President Donald J. Trump, Elon Musk, and the MAGA movement.

📍Where & When: Kassam spoke to The Washington Post at Butterworth’s in Washington, D.C., on June 5, 2025.

💬 Key Quote: “I was very worried for a time that MAGA would be bought out by the oligarch [like the Tea Party], and it’s just so satisfying to see that that is now no longer the case,” Kassam said.

⚠️ Impact: The Trump-Musk split reinforces MAGA’s independence, aligning with Trump’s America First vision against vested interests.

IN FULL:

Raheem Kassam, Editor-in-Chief of The National Pulse, has welcomed the split between President Donald J. Trump and former Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) frontman Elon Musk, telling The Washington Post that it signals the MAGA movement will not sell out to vested interests like the Tea Party.

“This is a lesson the MAGA right needed to learn right now,” Kassam told the newspaper at Butterworth’s, the Washington, D.C. bistro where he is an investor. He noted that the Tea Party, the grassroots movement against Big Government that sprang up following Barack Obama’s election, previously “got bought out by the Kochs,” referring to Charles and the late David Koch, who support mass legal immigration and amnesty for many illegals.

“I was very worried for a time that MAGA would be bought out by the oligarchs, too,” Kassam continued. “And it’s just so satisfying to see that that is now no longer the case.”

Musk’s falling out with President Trump centers around the “one big beautiful bill” currently working its way through Congress. The bill increases funding for border security and defense while making permanent Trump’s 2017 tax cuts and enacting new tax cuts for tips, overtime, and social security.

While Musk and his cohorts claim it increases spending and the debt ceiling unacceptably, the administration argues it will actually result in substantial spending cuts, and that Musk is upset that this includes cuts to government support for electric vehicles (EVs), which his Tesla firm manufactures.

Trump Economy Gains 139,000 Jobs, Despite Drop in Government Employment.

PULSE POINTS:

What Happened: U.S. employers added 139,000 jobs in May, while the unemployment rate held steady at 4.2 percent.

👥 Who’s Involved: The Department of Labor, President Donald J. Trump, and economists tracking job market trends.

📍 Where & When: United States; May 2025, with the data being released on June 6, 2025.

⚠️ Impact: Federal government employment dropped by 22,000 in May, private sector jobs exceeded expectations, and average hourly earnings saw significant growth.

IN FULL:

The U.S. economy added 139,000 jobs in May, according to the Department of Labor‘s latest report, while the unemployment rate remained unchanged at 4.2 percent. Economists had anticipated 125,000 new jobs, making the actual figure a modest improvement over expectations.

Federal government employment saw a notable decline, with 22,000 fewer jobs in May. This drop contributes to a total reduction of 59,000 federal positions since January, aligning with President Donald J. Trump’s ongoing efforts to reduce the size of government.

The private sector added 140,000 jobs, surpassing the forecasted 120,000. Within this sector, the services industry recorded a significant gain of 145,000 jobs. However, the goods-producing segment of the economy contracted by 5,000 positions, including an 8,000-job decline in manufacturing. A revision to April’s manufacturing numbers, however, showed a gain of 5,000 jobs instead of the previously reported loss of 1,000 jobs.

The labor force participation rate dipped slightly to 62.4 percent in May from 62.6 percent in April, reflecting a minor contraction in workforce engagement.

Average hourly earnings increased by 0.4 percent in May, doubling the rate of April’s growth and exceeding economists’ expectations. Over the last year, wages have risen by 3.9 percent, outpacing inflation and signaling stronger purchasing power for workers.

Revisions to previous months’ job numbers revealed a downward adjustment of 65,000 jobs for March (to 120,000) and 30,000 for April (to 147,000). Combined, these revisions indicate 95,000 fewer jobs than initially reported for the two-month period.

Over the past year, the U.S. economy has averaged 149,000 new jobs per month, reflecting a steady pace of employment growth.

Musk Fight Proves Trump Is Putting American Workers First, Says Teamsters Boss.

PULSE POINTS:

What Happened: Teamsters Union leader Sean O’Brien weighed in on the ongoing clash between Elon Musk and President Donald J. Trump, stating that the fight proves Trump puts American workers first over donor interests. O’Brien has emerged as a staunch ally of the Trump White House and its pro-American trade agenda.

👥 Who’s Involved: Sean O’Brien, the Teamsters Union, President Donald J. Trump, and Elon Musk.

📍 Where & When: O’Brien’s comments were made on social media late Thursday night, June 5, 2025.

💬 Key Quote: “If Elon’s temper tantrum has revealed anything, it’s that [President Donald J. Trump] isn’t bending over for big donors, no matter if it’s SpaceX, the Chamber of Commerce, or the Right to Work Foundation,” O’Brien wrote.

⚠️ Impact: O’Brien’s comments suggest the political realignment in the United States continues apace, with the Republican Party under President Trump becoming a more pro-working-class, populist political coalition.

IN FULL:

Sean O’Brien, the General President of the Teamsters Union, argues that the falling out between President Donald J. Trump and billionaire technology mogul Elon Musk proves the former is dedicated to putting American workers first. In a series of late-night posts on X (formerly Twitter), O’Brien, who was the first Teamsters leader in history to address the Republican National Convention, blasted Musk over the billionaire’s erratic social media posts attacking Trump and claiming credit for Republican wins in the 2024 election.

“Let’s get one thing straight: [President Donald J. Trump] wasn’t elected by Elon,” O’Brien wrote. “He won because working people have had enough of ego-driven billionaires like [Elon Musk] who want to run away to Mars only after they eliminate every decent job in this country.”

Musk’s attack on Trump’s tariffs—aimed at reshoring American jobs and restoring the nation’s manufacturing sector—appears to have prompted the response from O’Brien.

Notably, President Trump has enacted historic tariffs, which have brought over 100 nations to the negotiating table, seeking bilateral trade agreements. The National Pulse reported earlier this week that Vietnam—in an effort to reduce the tariffs on their products—has already agreed to increase their annual purchases of U.S. agricultural products to $2 billion. Such agreements are likely to have a significant impact on reducing the U.S. trade deficit overall.

“[Elon Musk] will abandon America—and Planet Earth itself—if it means he can stop Tesla’s stock implosion,” the Teamsters chief wrote in another post referring the historic collapse of Tesla’s stock value Thursday afternoon, adding: “If Elon’s temper tantrum has revealed anything, it’s that [President Donald J. Trump] isn’t bending over for big donors, no matter if it’s SpaceX, the Chamber of Commerce, or the Right to Work Foundation.”

“Thanks to this President, the GOP is changing, and for the better. We all need to be committed to working people if we want a better future, in our own country and across the globe,” O’Brien said.

In other posts, the Teamsters General President got a bit personal, writing: “Never forget that Elon doesn’t believe in America. Never has, never will. He brags about leaving this planet. He dreams of robots and rockets and money.” He added: “Have fun terraforming Mars with your kid army and incestuous space brood, [Elon Musk]. The rest of us don’t have escape pods. We have work in the morning.”

Taking another dig at Musk’s penchant for fathering children with multiple women, O’Brien quipped: “The only thing [Elon Musk] is worse at than colonizing Mars is respecting working people… and remembering to pull out.”
