Dems Launch Summer Riots 2.0.

Over the weekend, anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles devolved into violent riots while Democrat lawmakers looked the other way—forcing President Donald Trump to deploy the National Guard.

The details: The violence began after ICE conducted coordinated raids that led to the arrests of roughly 45 illegal aliens. Rioters were filmed hurling objects at ICE, setting cars on fire, vandalizing property, looting, blocking highway traffic, and waving foreign flags (mostly the Mexican flag).

The organizers: Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA), one of the lead organizers of the demonstrations, received nearly $34 million in grants from California and has strong ties to the Democrat party.

  • Signs seen at the demonstrations were printed by the Party for Socialism and Liberation, which has been linked to Elias Rodriguez, who shot and killed two Israeli staffers last month in D.C.

What the left is saying: LA Mayor Karen Bass blamed Trump for the riots, saying: “What we’re seeing in Los Angeles is chaos that is provoked by the administration.”

  • The politicized LAPD called the riots “peaceful protests.”
  • Senator Cory Booker repeatedly characterized the chaos as “peaceful protests.”

Trump sends in the troops: Trump activated the California National Guard, deploying 2,000 to Los Angeles on Sunday morning to end the violence. On Saturday night, Trump wrote on Truth Social:

  • “If Governor Gavin Newscum, of California, and Mayor Karen Bass, of Los Angeles, can’t do their jobs, which everyone knows they can’t, then the Federal Government will step in and solve the problem, RIOTS & LOOTERS, the way it should be solved!!!”
  • The U.S. Northern Command also said it had 500 U.S. Marines ready to quell the riots if needed.
  • Newsom responded on X, writing: “Trump is trying to manufacture a crisis in LA County — deploying troops not for order, but to create chaos.” When he wrote this, LA had already been burning for 48 hours.

Zoom out: The illegal aliens that were arrested by ICE in the raids that sparked the riots included murderers, sex offenders, and other violent criminals.

The latest: Sunday night, the LAPD had to declare an “unlawful assembly” as rioters refused to disperse. And late Sunday night, President Trump urged Los Angeles to “BRING IN THE TROOPS.”

Reuniting the right: After a week-long public fight with Trump, Elon Musk took to X to share the president’s Truth Social posts with “🇺🇸🇺🇸” as the caption.

Real talk from G: I know violence and chaos are key tenets of the Democrat playbook. But most Americans will not sympathize with thugs waving Mexican flags while they bash police with pieces of concrete. The left played this hand in 2020, and now they’re overplaying it—empowering President Trump to send in troops to end the mess.

ICE Captures Illegal Alien Attempting to Join ISIS After Biden Released Him.

PULSE POINTS:

What Happened: A Colombian illegal alien, released into the U.S. under the former Biden regime, attempted to join the Islamic State and has been arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

👥 Who’s Involved: The 35-year-old Colombian illegal alien, ICE, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Department of Justice (DOJ).

📍 Where & When: Entered the U.S. in Lukeville, Arizona on July 14, 2024; arrested in the Boston area on May 22, 2025.

💬 Key Quote: “This Colombian alien entered the country illegally and was released under the Biden administration. He went on to engage with an ISIS recruiter.” — ICE spokesman.

⚠️ Impact: The arrest highlights concerns about the Biden government’s handling of border security and the threat posed by migrants with potential ties to terrorism.

IN FULL:

A Colombian illegal immigrant, released into the United States under the former Biden regime, has been apprehended by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after attempting to join the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist group. The arrest was part of a broader operation targeting illegal aliens in the Boston area, according to officials.

The 35-year-old man entered the U.S. illegally via Lukeville, Arizona, on July 14, 2024. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) initially detained him due to a lack of valid documentation, placing him in removal proceedings. However, he was later released into the country’s interior.

In May 2025, ICE was informed by the Department of Justice (DOJ) that the individual had been in contact with a social media account reportedly facilitating travel and combat training for ISIS recruits. The account had requested videos of the man pledging allegiance to the terrorist organization.

On May 22, 2025, ICE and the FBI arrested the suspect in the Boston area during “Operation Patriot,” a larger initiative that resulted in nearly 1,500 arrests. An ICE spokesman commented on the case, stating, “This Colombian alien entered the country illegally and was released under the Biden administration. He went on to engage with an ISIS recruiter.”

This development follows the recent apprehension of a suspected al-Qaeda member in Philadelphia. This Tajikistan-born Russian citizen entered the U.S. in 2023 and was similarly released into the country. More recently, an Egyptian illegal alien was involved in a firebombing attack against a pro-Israel demonstration in Colorado.

Former Border Patrol Chief Aaron Heitke previously testified about a surge in “significant interest aliens” (SIAs)—individuals with potential terrorism ties—entering the U.S. under the Biden regime. Heitke revealed that the San Diego sector saw SIA arrests skyrocket from an annual average of 10-15 to over 100 in 2022, with even higher numbers in subsequent years. He also alleged that the administration barred him from publicly discussing the issue.

Concerns have been raised about the administration’s policies, with Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard reporting earlier this year that hundreds of individuals with ties to terrorist organizations had been paroled into the U.S.

BREAKING: AG Alleges Democrat Darling Kilmar Abrego Garcia Is Pedophile Who Trafficked Children, Narcotics, Firearms.

Deported Salvadoran illegal immigrant Kilmar Abrego Garcia, now returning to the United States to face criminal charges, has been accused of human trafficking, drug smuggling, gun running, and abusing women and children by Attorney General Pam Bondi, citing grand jury findings.

Abrego Garcia, who became a darling of the Democratic Party and segments of the media after he was deported to his native El Salvador despite a judge staying his removal to that country, was presented to the public as a hardworking father and “Maryland man” by his supporters, who demanded his return to the U.S. It subsequently emerged he was previously arrested on suspicion of human trafficking, and that his wife had filed a protective order against him for violent abuse.

Now, the authorities will be returning Abrego Garcia to the U.S.—because law enforcement has uncovered evidence of his long-term involvement in serious criminal activity. Among the “disturbing facts” that have emerged about the Salvadoran, per AG Bondi, are allegations he “traded the innocence of minor children for profit” by trafficking them. Co-conspirators allege he “abused undocumented alien females… who were under his control while transporting them,” and that he “solicited nude photographs and videos of a minor [and] played a role in the murder of a rival gang member’s mother.”

He is also alleged to be linked to a smuggling ring responsible for the deaths of 50 migrants being transported in a tractor-trailer that overturned in Mexico, among other offenses.

Bondi anticipates that, if convicted, Abrego Garcia will be deported from the U.S. after serving his sentence.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia Returning to U.S. — to Face Criminal Charges.

PULSE POINTS:

What Happened: Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a deported Salvadoran illegal alien, is being returned to the U.S. to face criminal charges related to alleged human trafficking.

👥 Who’s Involved: Abrego Garcia, the Trump administration, Democratic Senator Chris Van Hollen, and alleged MS-13 affiliates.

📍 Where & When: Abrego Garcia was deported to El Salvador months ago; he is now returning to face charges in the U.S.

⚠️ Impact: The case has become a political flashpoint, with Democrats criticizing the illegal immigrant’s initial deportation and advocating for his return.

IN FULL:

A Salvadoran illegal alien who was deported by the Trump administration is being brought back to the United States to face criminal charges for his alleged involvement in human trafficking operations, according to reports.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia is accused of participating in a years-long scheme to smuggle illegal immigrants into Texas, including aliens reportedly linked to the violent MS-13 gang. He faces two criminal charges related to these allegations.

Abrego Garcia was deported to El Salvador earlier this year and detained in the country’s high-security mega-prison, CECOT, despite being subject to a withholding order that was meant to prevent his removal to the government. The Trump administration previously maintained that it lacked the legal authority to reverse his deportation, with Abrego Garcia being a Salvadoran citizen on Salvadoran territory.

Senator Chris Van Hollen, a Democrat from Maryland, took the unusual step of traveling to El Salvador to meet with Abrego Garcia to advocate for him in person. Van Hollen and other Democrats have used the case to criticize the deportation and immigration policies of the Trump administration, characterizing him as an innocent “Maryland man.”

The National Pulse has previously reported how Abrego Garcia was accused of violent abuse by his wife and arrested on suspicion of human trafficking.

Texas FINALLY Halts Tuition for Illegals.

PULSE POINTS:

What Happened: Texas has decided to end in-state tuition rates for illegal immigrants.

👥 Who’s Involved: Texas state officials, Attorney General Ken Paxton, the Department of Justice, and the Trump administration.

📍 Where & When: Texas, lawsuit filed on Wednesday.

💬 Key Quote: President Donald J. Trump issued orders to prevent “benefits or preferential treatments” for illegal immigrants.

⚠️ Impact: The decision could affect undocumented students and out-of-state American students seeking more favorable tuition policies.

IN FULL:

Texas has agreed to halt its policy of offering in-state tuition rates to illegal immigrants following a legal challenge from the Department of Justice (DOJ). The federal lawsuit, filed on Wednesday, alleges that the practice unfairly discriminates against out-of-state American students by granting financial advantages to illegals.

The lawsuit challenges a long-standing Texas education policy, claiming it violates federal law by prioritizing illegal immigrants over U.S. citizens from other states. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, in response, filed a joint motion with the Trump administration to formally end the law.

This move aligns with broader efforts by the Trump administration to tighten immigration policies and prevent benefits for those residing in the country unlawfully. President Trump has issued two executive orders aimed at curbing preferential treatment for illegal immigrants, emphasizing the importance of fairness in public resource allocation.

The decision could have wide-ranging implications for both illegal alien students who have relied on in-state tuition rates and out-of-state American students who have contested the policy as discriminatory.

Further legal proceedings are expected as the case develops.

Operation Patriot Sees 1500 Illegals Rounded Up.

PULSE POINTS:

What Happened: U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) concluded “Operation Patriot,” its largest enforcement action to date, arresting 1,461 illegal aliens across Massachusetts and Greater Boston—including hundreds of criminals shielded by sanctuary city policies.

👤Who’s Involved: ICE, Massachusetts sanctuary jurisdictions, Boston city officials, and criminal aliens including rapists, traffickers, and a known murderer.

🧾Key Quote: ICE sources say the operation was launched in direct response to Massachusetts and Boston’s sanctuary policies, which have obstructed ICE enforcement and led to increased collateral arrests.

⚠️Fallout: Of those arrested, 790 had criminal convictions or pending charges, while 277 had final deportation orders; local jurisdictions refused cooperation, and activists reportedly interfere with arrests on a near-daily basis.

📌Significance: The operation exposes the dangerous consequences of sanctuary policies, as ICE is forced to apprehend violent criminals on the streets rather than in jails—putting public safety and agents at greater risk.

IN FULL:

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has executed its most expansive enforcement operation to date, arresting 1,461 illegal aliens across Massachusetts during a month-long sweep dubbed “Operation Patriot.” Agency sources confirmed that the operation, which concluded on Saturday, specifically targeted the state due to its aggressive sanctuary city policies—particularly those in Boston, where ICE detainers have been systematically ignored.

Of those arrested, 790 individuals had criminal convictions or open charges, while 277 had final deportation orders that had not been carried out due to a lack of local cooperation. Hundreds had previously been released from custody by sanctuary jurisdictions despite active ICE detainers.

The scale and complexity of the mission surpassed Operation Tidal Wave, which took place in Florida and previously held the record for the largest ICE enforcement action with 1,120 arrests.

“ICE has repeatedly warned that sanctuary policies will lead to collateral arrests,” a source said, referencing the fact that agents are often forced to arrest not just the primary target but others illegally present at the scene. The agency has stressed that such policies force enforcement into public neighborhoods rather than allowing for controlled transfers at local jails.

FOX News embedded with one of the 19 ICE teams operating across the state last Thursday. In just a few hours, agents arrested an international murderer, two child rapists—one of whom was living adjacent to a playground—a fentanyl trafficker, an adult rapist, and a child sexual assaulter. All of them had been residing freely within Massachusetts communities.

The Catastrophic Impact of Illegal Migrant Healthcare Revealed.

PULSE POINTS:

What Happened: The state Medi-Cal program in California went insolvent earlier this year, requiring $3.44 billion in loans, with Republicans pointing to healthcare coverage for illegal immigrants as a major contributing factor.

👥 Who’s Involved: Governor Gavin Newsom (D), the California Legislative Latino Caucus, California taxpayers, and illegal aliens.

📍 Where & When: California; budget discussions ongoing.

💬 Key Quote: “The cost of providing free healthcare to illegal immigrants is $11.4 billion, so if we just didn’t do that, that would eliminate our budget deficit,” said State Senator Brian Jones (R).

⚠️ Impact: California faces a $12 billion budget deficit, with debates over healthcare costs for illegal immigrants, potential tax hikes, and federal funding changes adding pressure.

IN FULL:

California’s Medi-Cal, the state-run Medicaid program that provides healthcare for low-income residents and illegal immigrants, has gone insolvent, requiring $3.44 billion in loans earlier this year to continue operations. The program has become a focal point of the state’s ongoing budget crisis, with a $12 billion deficit looming, and some Democrats in the state legislature are pushing tax hikes instead of needed reforms to Medi-Cal.

Republican lawmakers, including State Senate Minority Leader Brian Jones, have been vocal in attributing much of the financial strain to the state budget on the inclusion of illegal immigrants in Medi-Cal coverage. “The cost of providing free healthcare to illegal immigrants is $11.4 billion, so if we just didn’t do that, that would eliminate our budget deficit,” Jones stated. However, he acknowledged other potential areas for budget savings.

The National Pulse previously reported that Governor Gavin Newsom’s administration has proposed adjustments to Medi-Cal, including pausing enrollment for illegal immigrants aged 19 and older in “full-scope coverage” and introducing a $100 monthly premium for illegals currently enrolled in the healthcare program. However, the Democrat governor’s solution is already receiving pushback from within the California Democratic Party.

Members of the California Legislative Latino Caucus are balking at Newsom’s proposed pause and premium hike. Instead, they are pushing for tax increases to bridge the funding gap and eliminate the $12 billion deficit. Newsom, who is eyeing a potential 2028 presidential bid, has thus far been non-committal on a potential tax increase to cover the budget.

Despite Republicans and Democrats like Newsom both pointing the finger at illegal immigrant enrollment as a primary driver of the budget deficit and Medi-Cal insolvency, the problem may be far more systemic.

“A lot of doctors in California that used to provide Medicare and Medicaid have closed up shop, moved to other states. A lot of other doctors that are still here have stopped taking those kinds of patients, even if they’re here legally or illegally, because the reimbursement rates are so low, the doctors actually lose money when they take a Medicare or Medicaid patient,” said State Senate Minority Leader Brian Jones.

Potential federal changes to Medicaid funding could also complicate matters for California. Currently, Congress is considering reducing the federal match rate for non-emergency care from 90 percent to 80 percent. Newsom warns that such changes could cost the state billions.

U.S. Govt Says Election Officials CAN Verify Voter Citizenship.

PULSE POINTS:

What Happened: U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced reforms to the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) program to prevent noncitizens, including illegal aliens, from being added to state voter rolls.

👥 Who’s Involved: President Donald J. Trump, USCIS, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), and state election officials.

📍 Where & When: Reforms announced Thursday, May 22, 2025.

💬 Key Quote: “Under the leadership of President Trump and Secretary Noem, USCIS is moving quickly to eliminate voter fraud. We expect further improvements soon and remain committed to restoring trust in American elections,” said USCIS spokesman Matthew Tragesser.

⚠️ Impact: The reforms aim to strengthen election integrity by enabling state officials to more efficiently verify voter registrants’ citizenship using Social Security Numbers.

IN FULL:

The Trump administration has unveiled significant changes to the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) program, aiming to bolster election integrity by removing foreign nationals, including illegal immigrants, from state voter rolls. During the 2024 elections, the issue of noncitizens and illegal immigrants casting ballots became a serious concern—especially with the former Biden government taking measures to block Republican attempts to ensure election integrity.

On Thursday, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that the updated SAVE program will allow state election officials to verify voter registrants’ citizenship using Social Security Numbers (SSNs). This marks a shift from the previous system, which relied on alien numbers typically held only by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

“For years, states have pleaded for tools to help identify and stop aliens from hijacking our elections,” said USCIS spokesman Matthew Tragesser. “Under the leadership of President Trump and Secretary Noem, USCIS is moving quickly to eliminate voter fraud. We expect further improvements soon and remain committed to restoring trust in American elections.”

Additionally, the reforms aim to streamline the process for state and local election officials, enabling them to submit multiple citizenship verification cases simultaneously rather than one at a time. This adjustment is expected to significantly reduce administrative burdens and expedite verification.

In April, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) reported discovering thousands of foreign nationals on a limited number of state voter rolls, suggesting the issue could be more widespread. The partnership between USCIS and the Social Security Administration (SSA) aims to address these concerns by providing state officials with more efficient tools to verify citizenship status.

Previously, state and local governments were charged fees to access the SAVE program for verifying voter eligibility, as well as for driver’s licenses and other public benefits. The Trump administration has since eliminated these charges to encourage broader use of the program.

Biden Judge Halts Trump Plan to Deport Criminal Illegals to South Sudan.

PULSE POINTS:

What Happened: A federal judge ruled on Wednesday that the Trump administration violated his order to provide “meaningful” due process to a group of illegal immigrants facing deportation. In the decision, U.S. District Court Judge Brian Murphy also suggested that Trump immigration officials could have committed criminal contempt by moving forward with the deportation flight.

👥 Who’s Involved: Illegal immigrants from Burma, Vietnam, Mexico, Cuba, and Laos; U.S. District Court Judge Brian Murphy; and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

📍 Where & When: The illegal immigrants were allegedly flown from Texas earlier this week; Judge Murphy issued his ruling on Wednesday, May 21, after ordering DHS to maintain custody of the deportees late on Tuesday.

💬 Key Quote: “A local judge in Massachusetts is trying to force the United States to bring back these uniquely barbaric monsters who present a clear and present threat to the safety of the American people and American victims,” DHS Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin said before the ruling on Wednesday.

⚠️ Impact: The ruling marks the latest interference by the U.S. federal courts in President Donald J. Trump’s efforts to deport dangerous illegal immigrants from the United States, some with removal orders dating back decades.

IN FULL:

A federal judge has intervened after reports surfaced that at least a dozen criminal illegal aliens, including migrants from Burma, Vietnam, and Mexico, were deported to South Sudan earlier this week. U.S. District Court Judge Brian Murphy on Wednesday blocked the deportations and ordered the return of the illegal immigrants to the United States. In a previous ruling in April, the Joe Biden appointee ordered the Trump administration to ensure illegal immigrants slated for deportations to third countries received “meaningful” due process, but declined to provide detailed instructions as to what that would entail.

Late Tuesday, Judge Murphy issued an order instructing the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to maintain custody of the deportees, who were alleged to be on a plane sitting on a South Sudanese runway. The directive, according to the federal district court judge, was to give him time to determine whether the removals were unlawful—a determination he made just several hours later.

While Judge Murphy acknowledged his April ruling did not provide details regarding what he expected in terms of due process for the deportees, he insisted the 12-hour notice given by U.S. immigration officials was “obviously insufficient.” Likewise, attorneys representing the illegal immigrants argued that immigration authorities violated the April ruling, contending that they were not given an adequate opportunity to contest deportation to third countries where their clients had no ties and could face safety concerns.

On Wednesday, before the court hearing, DHS officials confirmed that a flight carrying at least eight individuals departed from Texas. However, DHS declined to confirm whether South Sudan was the final destination. A list released by the department identified the passengers as having criminal records and included illegal immigrants from Cuba, Laos, and Mexico.

“A local judge in Massachusetts is trying to force the United States to bring back these uniquely barbaric monsters who present a clear and present threat to the safety of the American people and American victims,” DHS Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin said before the ruling.

Migrants Face Fines Up to $1.8 Million.

PULSE POINTS:

What Happened: U.S. immigration authorities are issuing fines, some as high as $1.8 million, to illegal immigrants who failed to leave the country after deportation orders.

👥 Who’s Involved: Wendy Ortiz, a Salvadoran migrant; U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE); Customs and Border Protection (CBP); immigration lawyers; and the Trump administration.

📍 Where & When: United States, with fines beginning to be issued in recent weeks under the Trump administration.

💬 Key Quote: “It’s not fair. Where is someone going to find that much money?” — Wendy Ortiz, fined $1.8 million.

⚠️ Impact: Illegal immigrants face steep financial penalties, potential property seizures, and legal challenges, with many unable to pay the fines for ignoring their deportation orders.

IN FULL:

U.S. immigration authorities have begun issuing substantial fines to illegal immigrants who have failed to leave the country after being ordered to do so, with penalties reaching as high as $1.8 million. Wendy Ortiz, a 32-year-old Salvadoran illegal immigrant living in Pennsylvania, was among those fined. Ortiz allegedly left her home country a decade ago.

“It’s not fair,” Ortiz told reporters. “Where is someone going to find that much money?” Her attorney, Rosina Stambaugh, has requested a 30-day extension to contest the fine, citing Ortiz’s lack of a criminal record and the supposed dangers she faces if deported. Notably, Ortiz failed to show up for her asylum hearing and later ignored a deportation order, though she claims she never received notification of either.

The fines are part of a Trump administration policy aimed at encouraging voluntary departure, or “self-deportation,” among illegal immigrants. A senior Trump official disclosed that over 4,500 migrants have been issued fines totaling more than $500 million. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has been responsible for issuing the fines, while Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is tasked with handling potential property seizures.

The fines stem from a 1996 law that Trump administration immigration officials are enforcing. Under this policy, illegal immigrants can be fined $998 per day for failing to comply with deportation orders, with penalties applied retroactively for up to five years. This framework has resulted in fines as high as $1.8 million.

Immigration lawyers across the country have expressed shock at the severity of the penalties. Robert Scott, a New York-based attorney, noted that one of his clients, a low-income Mexican woman living in the U.S. for 25 years, was also fined $1.8 million. Scott—like attorneys for other illegal immigrants—claim the woman was unaware of her 2013 deportation order and is now seeking to reopen her case.

The Trump administration previously withdrew the imposition of similar fines during its first term after legal challenges but resumed issuing smaller penalties. The Biden government later dropped the fines in 2021.
