Several groups in California, including the Local Hearts Foundation and K-Town For All, are paying illegal alien street vendors to temporarily stop working in public areas to avoid U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids. These efforts involve purchasing inventory from vendors considered at risk of detention during street-level enforcement operations.

A flower vendor who reportedly continued working out of financial necessity received $800 from community members to cover her rent and was advised to stay indoors for her safety. K-Town For All has reportedly raised $60,000 to assist 36 illegal alien families in Koreatown with rent, utilities, and food for 30 days.

“We’ve seen the videos from all over Los Angeles, Bell, Lynwood, Southgate, South Central, of fruit vendors, car washers, flower vendors being taken off the side of the road,” said Andreina Kniss of K-Town For All. The Local Hearts Foundation also expressed concern, writing on Instagram: “We saw 3 street vendors today—fathers—out on the side of a highway, selling fruit in fear. Not fear of traffic. Fear of ICE.”

President Donald J. Trump has emphasized his administration’s commitment to immigration enforcement, stating on Truth Social that ICE “must expand efforts to detain and deport Illegal Aliens in America’s largest Cities, such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, where Millions upon Millions of Illegal Aliens reside.” Pro-illegal immigrant agitators, backed by leading Democrats such as Governor Gavin Newsom (D-CA), are opposing the ICE operations, with violent clashes between rioters and law enforcement in Los Angeles. In response to the unrest, Trump authorized the deployment of National Guard troops, while Newsom filed a lawsuit attempting to block it.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) released its operational statistics for May 2025, highlighting a 93 percent decrease in illegal crossings along the southwest border compared to May 2024. Acting Commissioner Pete Flores credited the Trump administration with providing historic support for CBP operations, stating, “Border numbers continue to trend at historic lows, reinforcing the sustained success of our enforcement efforts in securing the homeland and protecting American communities.”

In May 2025, the U.S. Border Patrol encountered 8,725 illegal aliens crossing the southwest border, a dramatic reduction from the 117,905 encounters reported in May 2024. Notably, the agency released zero illegal aliens into the country, a stark contrast to over 62,000 released in the same month last year, under former President Joe Biden. Nationwide, CBP averaged 952 daily encounters in May, marking the second-lowest daily average in CBP history.

Migrants release into the interior under the former Biden regime were responsible for a litany of serious crimes from rape to murder in parts of the United States.

CBP also reported significant drug interdictions, including the seizure of 718 pounds of fentanyl. Cocaine seizures rose by 19 percent, and heroin seizures saw a 191 percent increase from April to May. Additionally, CBP processed over 2.8 million entry summaries valued at more than $276 billion, collecting nearly $26.6 billion in duties.

Efforts to combat forced labor continued as CBP detained 132 shipments worth over $4.5 million for suspected use of forced labor, particularly linked to the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China. The agency also seized 2,973 shipments containing counterfeit goods valued at over $317 million.

CBP remains at the forefront of enforcing tariffs, implementing 22 presidential actions that resulted in $46.9 billion in tariff revenue from January through May 2025. The agency also conducted 67 audits in May, identifying $139 million in duties owed to the U.S. government. Agriculture specialists issued 7,806 emergency action notifications, safeguarding America’s agriculture and natural resources.

Officials from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) informed agency leaders on Monday that immigration raids at agricultural businesses, hotels, and restaurants must continue, as per instructions shared during an 11 AM call with representatives from 30 field offices nationwide.

Homeland Security spokeswoman Tricia McLoughlin said, “We continue to enforce the law … there is no safe harbor.” The restoration of the policy is seen as a victory for American workers, many of whom have been displaced by employers favoring cheaper migrant labor willing to work for lower wages. Wealthy donors, investors, and lobbyists, who had been advocating for an end to the enforcement crackdown, have been dealt a significant setback.

The American Business Immigration Coalition had lobbied heavily for the policy exemption. Rebecca Shi, the coalition’s chief executive, said the temporary pause in enforcement had led many employers to believe the administration was “open to a solution.”

Trump initially seemed open to a de facto amnesty for illegals working in specific fields, such as farming and leisure, but received substantial backlash from the America First base.

Limiting illegal immigration and cracking down on illegal alien workers appears to have encouraged companies to offer better pay and conditions and invest in productivity-enhancing technology. On June 6, for instance, JBS, a major meatpacking firm, was reported to have signed a union contract providing pay raises, sick leave, and pensions for 26,000 workers.

The pro-illegal immigrant riots in California and other states have sparked an ongoing investigation after the involvement of paid agitators was alleged. Crowds on Demand, a California-based advocacy group that provides crowds for protests, has received “numerous high-budget requests” to get involved with the demonstrations in Los Angeles and other cities, but has supposedly declined participation.

The company refused to intervene in the riots in Los Angeles and stated they did “not want to get close to any form of illegal activity, including violence, vandalism, or blocking off roads without a permit.”

Law enforcement is currently trying to determine who is responsible for organizing the attacks. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has warned that anyone who does not uphold the law will be held accountable: “We’re not here to negotiate with criminals. Break the law, attack our agents—you will be arrested, prosecuted, and held accountable. No exceptions.”

Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO), chairman of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Terrorism, has revealed that the committee has been sending letters to organizations suspected of being involved in the riots. The letters demand records from November 5, 2024, onwards. Organizations that fail to comply will face further action.

“Let me be clear: bankrolling civil unrest is not protected speech. It is aiding and abetting criminal conduct. Accordingly, you must immediately cease and desist any further involvement in the organization, funding or promotion of these unlawful activities,” the letter states.

Sen. Hawley and Rep. Kevin Kiley (R-CA) have raised particular concerns about the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA) and its role in organizing and funding pro-illegal immigrant disorder. Whether CHIRLA provided financial or logistical support to protestors, including those allegedly involved in violence or illegal activity, is under investigation.

Kiley has questioned CHIRLA’s funding, noting, “The ‘nonprofit’ behind the LA riots donated almost $500,000 to support Newsom’s campaign. It then received $34 million in state funding,” adding: “I’m sure this is all a coincidence.”

At least four illegal immigrant detainees are unaccounted for after a riot broke out at the Delaney Hall Detention Facility in New Jersey. Subsequently, a number of far-left, pro-illegal immigrant demonstrators gathered outside the facility, blocking law enforcement officers and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents from exiting to search for the detainees.

It is believed that detainees used makeshift ropes made from bedsheets to descend from a third-floor window. Mustafa Cetin, an attorney for one of the illegal immigrants, stated, “It’s about the food, and some of the detainees were getting aggressive, and it turned violent.” He added that the breached wall was “not very strong,” enabling the detainees to push it down.

Approximately 50 detainees are believed to have been involved in the riot.


Delaney Hall, the largest migrant detention center on the East Coast with a capacity of 1,000 beds, reopened in May under a 15-year, $1 billion contract between ICE and GEO Group. The facility has been a focal point of far-left activism, with protestors and local officials raising supposed concerns over the treatment of illegal immigrants and the privatization of detention services.

Newark Mayor Ras Baraka stated, “We are concerned about reports of what has transpired at Delaney Hall this evening, ranging from withholding food and poor treatment, to uprising and escaped detainees.” He called for increased oversight and transparency from GEO Group and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

In May, Mayor Baraka and three Democrat members of Congress attempted to visit the facility, citing oversight rights under federal law. The visit resulted in Baraka’s brief arrest for trespassing, though the charges were later dropped. However, earlier this week, a federal grand jury indicted Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) on three federal charges for allegedly interfering with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents during the same visit.

“You go into a farm and you look… [The illegal alien workers have] been here for 20, 25 years, and they’ve worked great, and the owner of the farm loves them and everything else, and then you’re supposed to throw them out, and you know what happens? They end up hiring… the criminals that have come in, the murderers from prisons and everything else,” Trump continued.

“So, we’re going to have an order on that pretty soon, I think. We can’t do that to our farmers—and lesirue too, hotels; we’re going to have to use a lot of common sense on that.”

The announcement of what sounds like a potential amnesty is drawing backlash from the MAGA faithful, who expected a second Trump administration to at least attempt the mass deportations of all illegal aliens.

Many argue that bosses’ hunger for cheap, illegal workers has been one of the primary pull factors for illegal aliens, and they should not be rewarded by having their illegal labor forces regularized. Notably, data shows that easy access to such workers has reduced productivity by providing an unlimited pool of low-wage labor, making investment in automation and other efficiency measures unnecessary.

Globalist WSJ Frets About Trump Deportations’ Impact on Multinational Corporations.

However, the newspaper, which specializes in economic coverage, ignores entirely the reasonable possibility that declining Hispanic consumption is more likely the result of deflationary pressure and an ongoing credit crunch.

⚠️ Impact: This isn’t the first time the WSJ has rushed to the defense of illegal immigrants or multinational globalist corporations, with the newspaper attacking President Trump’s move to crack down on visa overstays in February. Additionally, despite once being known for its rigorous economic news coverage, the WSJ appears to completely ignore the impact that declining credit access and deflationary pressure are having on major retailers.

IN FULL:

The globalist Wall Street Journal is fretting that the deportation of illegal immigrants is impacting the bottom line of some of the largest multinational corporations. In a sprawling feature story, the Murdoch-owned newspaper attempts to conflate an overall consumer demand decline across all ethnic groups with President Donald J. Trump‘s efforts to deport violent and dangerous criminal illegal immigrants, arguing that it is the deportations and not other factors that are resulting in falling consumption. Additionally, the Journal appears ambivalent to the positive impacts the deportations are having on native-born American workers, focusing instead on the loss of cheap foreign labor used by corporations.

“ICE’s tactics have had a chilling effect on some retailers, store owners and company executives said,” the Wall Street Journal story declares, before directly blaming White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller for said “chilling effect.”

“Hispanic shoppers reduced visits to physical stores more than non-Hispanic ones in the first quarter of the year, compared with the same period in 2024,” the Journal contends. “Walgreens experienced a 10.5 percentage point decline in Hispanic shoppers in the first quarter, while Home Depot had an 8.7 percentage point drop and Dollar General a 6.1 percentage point decrease.”

However, what the Wall Street Journal ignores is that elevated interest rates, decreased lending, and an increasingly deflationary environment (which usually presents as falling consumer demand) are statistically shown to impact Hispanics and other minority groups at higher rates than America’s white population. Data shows that credit card delinquency rates, for instance, are at a 13-year high, with the total number of consumers who are 90 days or more past due hitting 12.3 percent in Q1 of 2025.

While some individuals interviewed by the Journal claim they’ve cut back on eating out or shopping for fear of ICE raids, the more reasonable—and likely—explanation for the decline is the lack of credit (and overall liquidity) among American consumers as a whole.

In another instance, the Journal claims that big box stores, like Walmart and Target, are offering steep discounts of 50 percent or more to lure Hispanic consumers back to their stores. However, again, in Target’s own earnings report, the company says it has rolled out $1 price point items not to appeal to Hispanics, but rather to attract all consumers, as falling credit and left-wing boycotts over the company’s decision to scrap some of its DEI policies have depressed its sales numbers.

This skewed and disingenuous reasoning is nothing new for the Journal. The National Pulse’s Editor-in-Chief Raheem Kassam has noted in the past that The Wall Street Journal has opposed almost any attempt to deport illegal immigrants. For instance, in February, the newspaper threw a fit that President Trump was removing illegal immigrants who had overstayed their visas from the country.

Notably, visa overstays are one of the primary methods for individuals to immigrate to the United States illegally.

Thousands of protesters filled the streets, chanting slogans such as “Brick by brick, wall by wall, this racist system has got to fall!” and “How do you spell racist? ICE!” Video footage shows agitators hurling objects, including metal barricades, at officers. Rioters also attempted to block federal vehicles suspected of transporting detainees, while pepper spray was deployed as police worked to regain control.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) arrested 197 individuals Tuesday night after declaring an unlawful assembly in downtown Los Angeles, following days of escalating disorderly protests and rioting. The arrests occurred after multiple dispersal orders were issued, which many demonstrators ignored, according to the LAPD.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass (D) announced a curfew covering a one-square-mile area of downtown Los Angeles, effective from 8 PM to 6 AM. Exceptions include residents, those traveling to or from work, and credentialed members of the press. The curfew is expected to remain in place for several days.

Bass attributed the unrest to “bad actors who are taking advantage of the President’s chaotic escalation,” in a statement posted on X. California Democrats regard President Donald J. Trump’s attempts to enforce federal immigration law against illegal aliens in the state as provocative.

Bass urged non-residents to avoid the area and warned that violators of the curfew would face arrest and prosecution. Bass also highlighted concerns over the city’s readiness for the World Cup, citing extensive graffiti and damage to businesses.

LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell confirmed that 130 arrests were made near Commercial Street and Alameda, with an additional 67 arrests after demonstrators blocked the 101 Freeway. Charges ranged from failure to disperse and looting to an attempted murder involving a Molotov cocktail.

“Let me be clear that this behavior of blocking freeways, city streets, and on-ramps, refusing to comply with lawful dispersal orders, and interfering with public safety operations is dangerous… and won’t be tolerated,” McDonnell stated.

The protests and riots have resulted in widespread property damage, including the destruction of 23 businesses and the torching of multiple vehicles. In response, President Trump has deployed approximately 2,100 California National Guard troops to Los Angeles, Paramount, and Compton.
