Race-Baiting Media Outlet Sold!

G/O Media has sold off left-leaning sports platform Deadspin to Lineup Publishing, leading to the dismissal of the entire editorial team, including Carron J. Phillips, who was controversially involved in defaming a young Chiefs fan in 2023. The announcement was made by G/O Media CEO Jim Spanfeller on Monday.

Deadspin gained negative notoriety when they falsely accused a young Chiefs fan of donning blackface when, in reality, the child was showing team spirit by wearing the Chiefs’ team colors of red and black.

Lineup Publishing initiated discussions about the purchase, planning to take a divergent approach to Deadspin’s sports coverage while being respectful towards its unique voice.

“The decision to sell was influenced by several key factors including the buyer’s editorial strategy, the challenging competition in sports journalism, and a valuation that offered a considerable profit from our initial buying price,” stated Spanfeller in a memo.

This transaction is not the first asset divestiture made by G/O Media in its recent attempt to enhance returns for investors. The company underwent significant restructuring in November last year, and later sold another of its holdings, Jezebel, to Paste Magazine. It also offloaded Lifehacker to Ziff Davis last March, resulting in 13 staff members losing their jobs in June.

In February, Raul and Shannon Armenta, the parents of the young Chiefs fan featured in Deadspin’s ‘blackface’ article, sued the publication. Some have speculated the lawsuit was in part responsible for the sale.

Deadspin is the latest in a litany of once-popular news websites that have ceased operations. In January, Sports Illustrated laid off its entire staff. Two weeks ago it was announced that Vice Media intended to cease publishing on Vice.com and laid off hundreds of employees.

At Least Three Dozen Democrats Plan to Skip Trump’s State of the Union Address.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Dozens of Democrats are boycotting the State of the Union, opting for counter-programming instead of direct protests.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Democrat lawmakers including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), Sens. Ed Markey (D-MA), Jeff Merkley (D-OR), and others, as well as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Sen. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ).

📍WHEN & WHERE: The State of the Union address on Tuesday, with counter-programming events taking place on the National Mall and at the National Press Club.

💬KEY QUOTE: “If Trump will not honor the American people, then the people should turn off his remarks and turn toward each other—toward their neighbors, their communities, and the real power of this country,” said Sen. Ed Markey.

🎯IMPACT: The move, while framed by congressional Democrats as an embrace of so-called counter-programming events, appears to be an effort to prevent more radical lawmakers from engaging in performative protests that could alienate voters ahead of the 2026 midterm elections

IN FULL

Around three dozen Democrats have announced plans to boycott the State of the Union on Tuesday. The move, while framed by congressional Democrats as an embrace of so-called counter-programming events, appears to be an effort to prevent more radical lawmakers from engaging in performative protests that could alienate voters ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. Last year, Representative Al Green (D-TX) was removed from a joint session of Congress and later censured by the House for heckling President Donald J. Trump during an address to lawmakers.

“The two options that are in front of us in our House is to either attend with silent defiance or to not attend, and send a message to Donald Trump in that fashion,” House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) said during a news conference last week. Notably, a number of Democrat lawmakers are promoting an event dubbed “People’s State of the Union” on the National Mall—hosted by tthe highly controversial MeidasTouch organization and MoveOn—which will feature Sens. Ed Markey (D-MA), Jeff Merkley (D-OR), Ruben Gallego (D-AZ), and Chris Murphy (D-CT), as well as Reps. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) and Greg Casar (D-TX).

Democrats hope to use their counter-programming events to draw media attention away from President Trump’s State of the Union address. According to Sen. Markey, “If Trump will not honor the American people, then the people should turn off his remarks and turn toward each other – toward their neighbors, their communities, and the real power of this country.”

Another group of Democrat lawmakers are slated to host a “State of the Swamp” event earlier in the evening on Tuesday at the National Press Club, which will feature Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR), and Reps. Seth Moulton (D-MA) and Dan Goldman (D-NY). Other prominent leftist lawmakers like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) are opting to skip the State of the Union without appearing at any of the Democratic Party’s counter-programming events.

President Trump is expected to focus his address on his administration’s headway in tackling the inflation crisis caused by the former Biden government, as well as plummeting violent crime, policies addressing affordability, and efforts to remove illegal immigrants from the United States.

Epstein’s Brother Claims New Report Proves Murder, Not Suicide.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Jeffrey Epstein’s brother, Mark Epstein, claimed that a forthcoming peer-reviewed report will prove Jeffrey Epstein was murdered, not a suicide as officially stated.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Mark Epstein, Jeffrey Epstein, and a group of pathologists studying Jeffrey Epstein’s autopsy results.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The claims were made during an interview on February 24, 2026.

💬KEY QUOTE: “They are concluding… for a number of reasons [that] it couldn’t have been a suicide as they had claimed.” – Mark Epstein

🎯IMPACT: Renewed scrutiny on Jeffrey Epstein’s death, as questions about the circumstances surrounding his 2019 demise in a New York prison remain.

IN FULL

Mark Epstein, the brother of Jeffrey Epstein, claims that an upcoming report will definitively prove his brother’s 2019 death was not a suicide. He said on Piers Morgan’s Uncensored show that a team of pathologists is examining the autopsy findings, which he argues should have received a more comprehensive review initially.

“They are concluding, and doing the report that will come out shortly, which is being peer reviewed, for a number of reasons showing it couldn’t have been a suicide as they had claimed,” Mark Epstein said. He went on to assert that the forthcoming document would back his view that Jeffrey Epstein was murdered, stating, “It will conclusively show it was not a suicide… then who killed him and who had him killed.”

Mark Epstein highlighted missing CCTV footage from the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York, where Jeffrey Epstein died, and raised concerns about what he sees as the withholding of official records. “Why all of the games? Why all the obfuscation? It just doesn’t make any sense,” he said.

When questioned about Jeffrey Epstein’s victims and his awareness of his brother’s offenses, Mark sidestepped the issue, responding, “Unfortunately, I really don’t care to be honest with you. I’m just concerned that my brother, whoever and whatever he was, was murdered. That’s my concern.” He declined to discuss the matter any further and terminated the interview soon after.

Jeffrey Epstein, while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges involving minors, was discovered dead in his jail cell in 2019. The official determination was suicide by hanging, but various irregularities—including issues with the timing of events and problems with prison surveillance—have sparked theories of foul play and debate over the mishandling of the case.

FedEx Sues Trump Admin for Tariff Refunds After SCOTUS Ruling.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: FedEx filed a lawsuit seeking a full refund of tariff payments made under the International Economic Emergency Powers Act (IEEPA), following a Supreme Court ruling.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: FedEx, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Trump administration, and the Supreme Court.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The lawsuit was filed Monday in the U.S. Court of International Trade, following the Supreme Court’s ruling last Friday.

💬KEY QUOTE: “This Court has jurisdiction and authority to order remedial relief and refunds of IEEPA duties paid by importers,” FedEx wrote in its lawsuit.

🎯IMPACT: The ruling opens the door to numerous lawsuits seeking refunds for billions of dollars in tariffs paid under IEEPA.

IN FULL

FedEx is suing the Trump administration in the U.S. Court of International Trade in an effort to recoup tariff payments the company made that were authorized by President Donald J. Trump under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). President Trump’s use of IEEPA to impose trade levies was ruled unconstitutional last week by the U.S. Supreme Court—though the issue of what would happen with the money already collected was not settled in the ruling.

Filed on Monday, the lawsuit marks the second major legal action addressing the possibility of tariff refunds tied to the IEEPA ruling. Notably, the emergency powers law only covered part of President Trump’s tariff actions, with trade levies enacted under Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974 and Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962 remaining in effect.

The National Pulse reported last December that Costco filed a federal lawsuit seeking to guarantee its right to a refund should the Supreme Court overturn the IEEPA tariffs. Similarly, FedEx is demanding that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) refund all duties paid under IEEPA last year. “This Court has jurisdiction and authority to order remedial relief and refunds of IEEPA duties paid by importers,” the company stated in its lawsuit, adding that it has “suffered injury caused by those orders.”

All in all, the Supreme Court ruling could result in the federal government losing around $170 billion in tariff revenue, out of the nearly $300 billion it collected last year. Despite the ruling, President Trump has vowed that his administration will act swiftly to use other legal mechanisms to reimpose most of the tariffs he authorized under IEPPA, including imposing a 15 percent global tariff under Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974.

Former World Leader Attempts Epstein-Linked Suicide.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Former Norwegian Prime Minister, head of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, and Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjørn Jagland was hospitalized by an apparent suicide attempt following charges of corruption linked to Jeffrey Epstein.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Thorbjørn Jagland, deceased sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, and Norwegian law enforcement.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Charges were brought after the Council of Europe lifted Jagland’s diplomatic immunity; searches were conducted in Oslo and Risør in Norway.

💬KEY QUOTE: Jagland’s lawyers previously stated he “denied criminal liability and is willing to cooperate in the investigation.”

🎯IMPACT: The incident has intensified scrutiny of public figures linked to Epstein, including diplomats and royals.

IN FULL

Thorbjørn Jagland, a former Prime Minister of Norway, head of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, and Secretary General of the Council of Europe, has been hospitalized after an apparent suicide attempt. This came amid corruption charges tied to his connections with Jeffrey Epstein, the deceased child sex trafficker.

The charges followed the Council of Europe’s decision to lift Jagland’s diplomatic immunity, at the request of Økokrim, Norway’s economic crime unit. Økokrim is investigating possible corruption during Jagland’s tenure as secretary general of the Council of Europe from 2009 to 2019.

According to local reports, Norwegian media editors had agreed with Jagland’s lawyer to refrain from reporting on the hospitalization, though sources indicate his condition is serious. Police had carried out thorough searches of his properties in Oslo and Risør.

Emails obtained by U.S. authorities show that Jagland had arranged visits to Epstein’s homes in Paris, New York, and Palm Beach, and had planned a family trip to Epstein’s private island in the Caribbean in 2014, though it was later canceled. There are also allegations that Jagland asked Epstein for assistance with a bank loan.

News of Jagland’s suicide attempt follows the arrests of Lord Peter Mandelson, former British ambassador to the U.S., and the now-former Prince Andrew, both accused of misconduct in public office for allegedly passing confidential government information to Epstein.

‘Allahu Akbar!’ — Afghan Knifeman Attacks Jehovah’s Witnesses.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: An Afghan knifeman attacked multiple people at a Jehovah’s Witness stand in a German railway station.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The attacker, civilians who overpowered him, and the police.

📍WHEN & WHERE: February 23, 2026, at Würzburg Central Station, Germany.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Several passersby, including a plainclothes police officer, immediately intervened and were able to subdue the 35-year-old.” – Police spokesman

🎯IMPACT: The suspect was arrested, and the area was secured for investigation.

IN FULL

An Afghan national, aged 35, launched an attack at a Jehovah’s Witness stand in Würzburg Central Station, Germany. The attack occurred early Monday morning local time, around 7:50 AM, and involved the suspect stabbing a 68-year-old man and physically attacking two others, aged 55 and 51.

The Afghan was thwarted by civilians and a plainclothes police officer, who intervened and subdued him. “A patrol from the Federal Police arrived shortly after the initial emergency call and was able to provisionally arrest the suspect,” the Bavarian police said, adding, “Several patrols from the Würzburg police also responded promptly to the scene.”

The victims sustained only minor injuries, none of which were life-threatening. Bavarian police are reviewing footage from several CCTV cameras to trace the suspect’s route to the train station and searching his residence. Jehovah’s Witnesses, known for their door-to-door evangelism, were the target of this attack.

The attack echoes a previous one in Würzburg in June 2021, where Somali refugee Abdirahman Jibril Ali killed three women inside a Woolworth store and injured eight others on the street outside.

Newsom Tells Black Mayor ‘I’m Like You’ Because He Can’t Read and Got a Low SAT Score.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) is facing backlash after attempting to relate to a black mayor by claiming he cannot read and only scored a 960 on his SAT.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Governor Newsom, Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens (D), and rapper Nicki Minaj.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The remarks were made during a Sunday night appearance in Georgia to promote Newsom’s forthcoming memoir, Young Man in a Hurry.

💬KEY QUOTE: “I’m like you. I’m not better than you. I’m a 960 SAT guy… I cannot read a speech.” – Gavin Newsom

🎯IMPACT: Newsom’s comments were criticized as racially patronizing and portraying black Americans as uneducated and illiterate.

IN FULL

California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) is under fire after making comments during an event promoting his new memoir in Georgia on Sunday that critics have described as racially insensitive. Speaking to Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens (D), Newsom sought to connect with the predominantly black audience by referencing his own academic struggles, saying, “I’m like you. I’m not better than you. I’m a 960 SAT guy.”

The remark drew immediate criticism for what many perceived as an assumption that academic underperformance is relatable to black Americans. Newsom, aware of the potential backlash, said, “I’m not trying to offend anyone,” before adding, “You’ve never seen me read a speech because I cannot read a speech.”

Hip-hop and rap superstar Nicki Minaj accused Newsom of deliberately talking down to a black audience. “His way of bonding with black ppl is to tell them how stupid he is & that he can’t read,” Minaj wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter). Minaj has emerged as a staunch proponent of President Donald J. Trump, even appearing at an event earlier this year promoting Trump Accounts for newborn American children.

Newsom, widely considered a frontrunner for the Democratic Party’s 2028 presidential nomination, has faced a series of political setbacks in recent months. The National Pulse reported in November of last year that the California governor’s former chief of staff, Dana Williamson, was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and charged with public corruption. The charges, part of a federal indictment, accuse Williamson and her co-conspirators of engaging in a scheme involving wire and bank fraud.

Meanwhile, a scheduled appearance by Newsom at the World Economic Forum (WEF) summit in Davos, Switzerland, in January this year, was canceled, with his team alleging interference from the Trump administration. Speaking with reporters, Newsom said, “I can’t take this complicity of people rolling over. I should have brought a bunch of knee pads for all the world leaders. I mean, handing out crowns, the Nobel prizes that are being given away. It’s just pathetic.”

Top AI Firm Says Chinese Labs Stole U.S. Tech Using 24,000 Fake Accounts.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Anthropic, a leading U.S. artificial intelligence (AI) firm, has accused three China-based AI labs of using fraudulent accounts to extract valuable outputs from its Claude chatbot in a coordinated “distillation” campaign.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Anthropic, Chinese AI companies DeepSeek, Moonshot AI, MiniMax, and U.S. government agencies investigating the claims.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The technology theft reportedly took place over the last several months, with the U.S. government investigation revealed on Monday, February 23, 206.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Foreign labs that distill American models can then feed these unprotected capabilities into military, intelligence, and surveillance systems.” — Anthropic.

🎯IMPACT: The incident highlights vulnerabilities in U.S. AI export controls and raises concerns over China leveraging stolen AI capabilities for military and surveillance purposes.

IN FULL

One of the top U.S. artificial intelligence (AI) companies, Anthropic, is accusing three China-based AI labs—DeepSeek, Moonshot AI, and MiniMax—of conducting a coordinated campaign to extract high-value outputs from its Claude chatbot. According to the company’s own internal findings, the Chinese AI labs used approximately 24,000 fraudulent accounts to generate over 16 million exchanges with the chatbot, targeting its most advanced capabilities in an effort to obtain and port key code and technology for use in China‘s own AI development.

Anthropic alleges that this “distillation” campaign, a technique commonly used internally by AI labs to train smaller models, was unauthorized and aimed at bypassing years of research and reinforcement learning. “We have high confidence these labs were conducting distillation attacks at scale,” stated Jacob Klein, Anthropic’s head of threat intelligence. Importantly, the Anthropic documents suggest that the Trump administration is actively investigating the Chinese theft of U.S. AI technology.

The company is warning that the implications of these attacks extend beyond intellectual property theft and that models created through such methods lack the safety guardrails embedded in U.S. systems, potentially enabling authoritarian regimes to use AI for cyber operations, disinformation, and mass surveillance. “Foreign labs that distill American models can then feed these unprotected capabilities into military, intelligence, and surveillance systems,” Anthropic said.

The firm identified the campaigns through IP address correlations, metadata, and other indicators, and has shared its findings with U.S. government entities. Klein noted that while the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) direct involvement has not been proven, proxy services reselling access to U.S. AI models operate openly in China. He also emphasized that current U.S. export controls, which focus on advanced AI chips and model weights, fail to address the risks posed by distillation attacks.

Notably, the report adds to growing concerns about the U.S.–China AI race. Anthropic’s findings coincide with similar warnings from OpenAI and Google, which have also reported distillation attacks targeting their systems. Klein urged policymakers to adopt a holistic approach to AI security, stating, “If you think about how you stay ahead in the AI race, compute is one piece of that. But increasingly reinforcement learning is critical. Distillation allows you to extract those capabilities.”

Governor Urges Texans Remain Vigilant Amid Cartel Violence.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) issued a warning to residents regarding travel to Mexico after the killing of Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) leader Nemesio ‘El Mencho’ Oseguera Cervantes has led to violent attacks across the country.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Governor Abbott, the Mexican military, and the Jalisco New Generation Cartel.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Abbott’s warning was made on Sunday, February 22, just hours after El Mencho was killed during an attempted apprehension.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Texans’ safety is my top priority, whether they are here at home or traveling abroad. I urge all Texans in Mexico to follow the guidance of U.S. officials, stay alert, and ensure that they are in contact with the U.S. embassy or nearest U.S. Consulate.” – Greg Abbott

🎯IMPACT: The death of the cartel leader has sparked increased violence in Mexico, prompting warnings for Texans traveling abroad.

IN FULL

Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) is warning Texans not to travel to Mexico and for those living along the United States-Mexican border to remain vigilant in the wake of increased drug cartel violence following the death of Nemesio ‘El Mencho’ Oseguera Cervantes, the leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), during an attempted apprehension in the state of Jalisco over the weekend. “Texans’ safety is my top priority, whether they are here at home or traveling abroad,” Abbott said in a statement posted to X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday. He added, “I urge all Texans in Mexico to follow the guidance of U.S. officials, stay alert, and ensure that they are in contact with the U.S. embassy or nearest U.S. Consulate.”

The U.S. State Department is urging all Americans currently in Mexico to shelter in place until Mexican military forces are able to regain control of the situation. CJNG—one of the most well-armed cartel groups—operates more as an umbrella for several smaller cartels, and the death of Oseguera Cervantes could lead to a series of inter-cartel conflicts and reprisals. American citizens in Mexico could become targets for the cartel as the Trump administration supplied the Mexican military with intelligence ahead of the attempted apprehension of Oseguera Cervantes.

In February last year, U.S. President Donald J. Trump designated CJNG, along with the Sinaloa Cartel, Tren de Aragua, Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13), the La Resistencia gang, Cartel of the Northeast—a splinter group of the Zetas, the Gulf Cartel, and The New Michoacan Family, as Foreign Terrorist Organizations. This move opened new avenues for the U.S. military and intelligence agencies to address the cartels and their drug operations.

This past Sunday, in retaliation for Oseguera Cervantes’s death, CJNG members set up burning blockades, torched businesses, and attacked towns across 20 Mexican states. Reports indicate that dozens of banks, pharmacies, and vehicles were set ablaze, with significant disruptions in high tourist areas like Puerto Vallarta and Guadalajara. Authorities reported 250 incidents of road blockades, with 90 percent cleared by Monday.

U.S. Orders Partial Embassy Evacuation in Beirut as Iran War Looms.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The State Department has ordered some U.S. Embassy staff in Beirut to evacuate Lebanon temporarily.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: U.S. State Department, non-emergency embassy personnel, and eligible family members.

📍WHEN & WHERE: February 23, 2026, U.S. Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon.

💬KEY QUOTE: “We continuously assess the security environment, and based on our latest review, we determined it prudent to reduce our footprint to essential personnel.” — Senior State Department official

🎯IMPACT: Approximately 50 embassy staff are affected, amid escalating tensions between the U.S. and Iran.

IN FULL

The U.S. Department of State has instructed certain U.S. Embassy staff in Beirut, Lebanon, to evacuate the country temporarily, amid escalating tensions in the region between the Trump administration and the Islamic Republic of Iran. Notably, the State Department directive only applies to non-emergency personnel and eligible family members, according to a senior official.

Still, the embassy says it remains operational with core staff in place. A senior State Department official explained, “We continuously assess the security environment, and based on our latest review, we determined it prudent to reduce our footprint to essential personnel.”

The decision impacts around 50 staff members, as well as family members living in the country—usually spouses and children. A primary concern is the presence of the Iranian terror proxy Hezbollah, which acts as both a political party and Shia Islamist military force in Lebanon. While Hezbollah’s leadership was heavily degraded by Israeli air strikes in 2024—including one that killed its longtime leader Hassan Nasrallah—it is believed the terror proxy remains operationally functional.

Meanwhile, indirect talks between the U.S. and Iran are set to begin in Switzerland on Thursday. Additionally, Secretary of State Marco Rubio is expected to visit Israel soon. On Monday, Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei dismissed the idea of negotiations following any U.S. military action. “Does it make sense that they strike against us and we keep negotiating with them?” Baghaei stated.

CBS News Drops Peter Attia After Epstein Revelations.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Dr. Peter Attia has exited his role as a contributor at CBS News following a controversy involving Jeffrey Epstein.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Dr. Peter Attia, CBS News, Jeffrey Epstein, and Bari Weiss.

📍WHEN & WHERE: February 22, 2026, CBS News.

💬KEY QUOTE: “I go into JE withdrawal when I don’t see [Epstein].” – Dr. Peter Attia

🎯IMPACT: This development coincides with Paramount Skydance’s new pitch for Warner Bros. Discovery.

IN FULL

A prominent health guru and commentator on longevity science, Dr. Peter Attia, has been removed as a contributor at CBS News after emails between him and convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein were discovered among a trove of millions of U.S. government documents pertaining to the latter. Notably, Attia’s name appears over 1,700 times in the recently released Epstein Files, with direct communications between the two men suggesting a disturbingly close relationship.

“You [know] the biggest problem with becoming friends with you?” Attia wrote to Epstein on June 24, 2015—around seven years after his 2008 conviction on state charges of solicitation of prostitution and procuring a person under 18 for prostitution. Attia continued, “The life you lead is so outrageous, and yet I can’t tell a soul.”

Attia was a recent addition, only joining as a contributor in January 2026, and was brought on board by the network’s new Editor-in-Chief, Bari Weiss. However, internal communications to CBS News bookers confirmed Attia’s departure from the network. The medical researcher is alleged to have continued maintaining a relationship with Epstein even as the latter faced mounting accusations throughout 2015 of sex trafficking, for which he was eventually arrested in 2019.

Another notable quote from Attia from a January 2016 email to Lesley Groff, Epstein’s assistant, stated, “I go into JE withdrawal when I don’t see him.” It is believed that Weiss resisted an initial push to cut ties with Attia, but the scale of his relationship with Epstein made his retention impossible for CBS executives.
