Facebook is refusing to run two ads from a pro-life group because they are too ‘sensational or graphic.’ The concerning content? Stories of two babies who were born prematurely but survived against the odds. The digital ads, published by the Susan B. Anthony List, featured the stories of Micah and Charlotte, two babies who were born close to the twenty-week marker of pregnancy and survived to live healthy lives. The goal behind the videos was to promote the dignity of life in the womb while simultaneously highlighting the horror of late-term abortions as midterm elections approach. Charlotte’s father, Ned Ryun,
After Senate Democrats blocked an anti-human trafficking bill last week because it lacked language that would allow abortions, pro-life groups have come together to condemn the decision and to advocate for anti-trafficking legislation. “In a stunning display of protecting abortion at all costs, the U.S. Senate failed to defend victims — women and little girls — of sex trafficking. The abortion lobby and their allies in the Senate should be ashamed of themselves,” stated Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America. “How dare they call themselves ‘pro-woman’ when they epically failed to help sex trafficking victims because they would
The Trump administration has announced it will move forward with a new rule that will cut some of the taxpayer funding that goes to Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers under the federal Title X program. The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) rule will bar facilities and programs that perform abortions or refer for them from receiving taxpayer funding under the Title X family planning program. Currently, 266 Planned Parenthood abortion centers receive Title X funding. They were formerly allowed to receive the funding as long as they kept it separate from abortion operations. But money is fungible,
This morning, Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the pro-life Susan B. Anthony List, took to Twitter to put out a number of pro-life ads in recognition of International Women’s Day. While she was able to post several of these ads without issue, Twitter decided to censor one of the ads — one that depicts Mother Teresa alongside a pro-life quote: So why did Twitter decide to censor Mother Teresa? According to their response, the ad violates Twitter’s “Health and pharmaceutical products and services” policy: At a cursory glance, it is unclear how in the world this tweet violates a policy whose aim
The Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List), a pro-life organization based in Washington, D.C., has released a new television advertisement urging Congress to redirect funding away from Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, toward comprehensive health care centers that better serve women. Check it out below: Narrator: What is Planned Parenthood really about? Breast cancer screenings? Cecile Richards, Planned Parenthood president: “We do not have mammogram machines at our health centers.” Narrator: Prenatal care? Audio of phone call with a Planned Parenthood employee: “No, we don’t do prenatal services. I mean. It’s called Planned Parenthood. I know it’s kind
As we enter the final hours of the 2016 campaign, the pro-life Susan B. Anthony List is making one last effort to nudge swing state voters toward Donald Trump. In a new online ad released on Friday and currently running in Florida, Missouri, North Carolina and Ohio, SBA List highlights Trump’s criticism of Hillary Clinton’s extreme position on late-term abortion in the final presidential debate last month: You can watch the full exchange between Trump and Clinton at that debate here. Paul Dupont is the managing editor for ThePulse2016.com.
I have a lot of respect for Leon Wolf and all the folks over at RedState. I really do. But I made the decision months ago to ignore their website — at least until Wednesday, November 9th — when they became so stubbornly committed to the #NeverTrump movement that they chose to support Gary Johnson, a pro-abortion, anti-religious freedom statist who is not remotely conservative. Yuck. It’s one thing to oppose Trump on a principled level, which I can understand. Several writers for The Pulse 2016 have been vocally #NeverTrump, including Maggie Gallagher, Michael Lucchese, and others. But attacking people —
Donald Trump is doing everything he can to make it clear to the pro-life movement: “I’m With You.” This week Trump tapped Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the Susan B. Anthony List and a frequent contributor to The Pulse 2016, to head up his pro-life coalition. Politico reports: Dannenfelser will seek to mobilize “national and statewide anti-abortion leaders, with a particular emphasis on people in battleground states,” to activate their “spheres of influence” in support of the Trump campaign, said SBA List spokeswoman Mallory Quigley. The addition of Dannenfelser, a onetime sharp critic of Trump, to a leadership role on behalf of
