Jack Montgomery, a deputy editor at The National Pulse, has been suspended from X (formerly Twitter) for saying a British serial killer convicted of murdering seven babies should receive the death penalty.
Lucy Letby, a nurse working for Britain’s socialized health service (NHS), was convicted of the murder of seven babies, as well as the attempted murder of another six in a series of “persistent, calculated, and cold-blooded” attacks in a neonatal unit, with investigators fearing she may have “dozens” of additional victims.
Montgomery said the murderess, who has been handed a rare whole-life sentence, “should be executed” – executions being lawful penalties imposed by courts – and was suspended, with X branding his support for capital punishment “abusive behavior”.
The suspension comes as Musk is encouraging journalists to share news and views on X, claiming they will enjoy “more freedom to write and a higher income” if they “publish directly” to his platform.
Musk has handed over the day-to-day running of X to World Economic Forum (WEF) executive Linda Yaccarino, who has been quick to hire known censors and empower corporations to choke off users whose “lawful but awful” opinions they dislike from earning a share of advertising revenue.
If you’re a journalist who wants more freedom to write and a higher income, then publish directly on this platform!
