Republican New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu will formally endorse Nikki Haley during a town hall event in Manchester, N.H., according to local station WMUR. Sununu has previously stated he will give “110%” support to the candidate he chooses to endorse. Sununu has campaigned with several Republican candidates over recent months, including Florida Governor Ron DeSantis who has been clamouring for Sununu’s support.
The NH Governor was seen with Haley at a November town hall event in Hooksett, N.H., where he praised her work and remarked: “Nikki’s done a great job. She’s been really pounding the pavement.”
Sununu stressed that his involvement would represent a robust campaign push, not merely a passive endorsement. The Granite State features prominently in the upcoming 2024 presidential race, hosting the first primary election on January 23— shortly after the Iowa Caucus on January 15. Sununu has also asserted his commitment to Republican victory in 2024, affirming he would vote for any GOP nominee, including former President Donald Trump.
