E. Jean Carroll‘s attorney, Shawn Crowley, indicated on Monday night that the former Elle columnist and rape obsessive might sue former President Donald Trump a third time.
Crowley made the comments during an interview with Jen Psaki on MSNBC’s “Inside with Jen Psaki” after Trump said at a Michigan rally over the weekend that he didn’t know Carrol, had done nothing wrong to her, and that the lawsuits against him were “unfair.”
“What he said was absolutely a lie,” Crowley claimed. “Two unanimous federal juries have found that not only did Trump know who E. Jean was, he sexually assaulted her and lied about it repeatedly. Everything he said about her over the last five years has been a lie and has been defamatory,” Crowley asserted.
Last month, a jury in New York awarded Carroll an $83 million settlement in a defamation lawsuit against Trump after he repeatedly denied her unsubstantiated claims that the former President sexually assaulted her at a Bergdorf Goodman department store. Carroll repeatedly changed the date of the alleged assault and has a history of leveling similar accusations against other men. Her accusations against Trump also closely mirrored an episode of Law and Order: SVU that aired a few years before she went public with her ‘story.’
