Texas Police Union Moves to Recruit ‘Disgusted’ NYPD Officers After Mamdani’s Victory.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The Houston Police Officers’ Union is actively recruiting New York City Police Department (NYPD) officers following the election of far-left immigrant Zohran Mamdani, who supports defunding the police, as Mayor of New York City.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Houston Police Officers’ Union, NYPD officers, and newly elected NYC mayor Zohran Mamdani.

📍WHEN & WHERE: November 2025, Houston, Texas, and New York City, New York.

💬KEY QUOTE: “We believe socialism is going to be bad for law enforcement in New York City. There is opportunity here in Houston for officers to come, make a great life for themselves, the cost of living is a lot less and you can actually do police work and be supported by our mayor and our city council.” – Doug Griffith, Houston Police Union President

🎯IMPACT: The union’s recruitment campaign highlights concerns over Mamdani’s anti-law enforcement politics.

IN FULL

The Houston Police Officers’ Union is urging New York City police officers to relocate to Texas following the election of anti-police Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani as New York City’s new mayor. The union released recruitment ads directly asking, “NYPD, are you disgusted with the election of Zohran Mamdani?”

Mamdani, 34, is a Ugandan Muslim immigrant and longtime progressive activist, and has pledged to send mental health professionals rather than police officers to respond to certain crisis situations across the city. He previously supported the “defund the police” movement. Mamdani has also promised to uphold New York’s sanctuary city policy, which prevents local police from cooperating with federal immigration authorities.

Houston Police Union President Doug Griffith said that Mamdani’s platform poses a direct threat to law enforcement in New York. “We believe socialism is going to be bad for law enforcement in New York City,” he said. “There is opportunity here in Houston for officers to come, make a great life for themselves, the cost of living is a lot less and you can actually do police work and be supported by our mayor and our city council.” The union’s pitch highlights “competitive pay” and a “supportive” local government, aiming to attract officers frustrated by the political climate in New York.

Mamdani, an avowed socialist, previously declared in a social media post: “We don’t need an investigation to know that the NYPD is racist, anti-queer & a major threat to public safety. What we need is to #DefundTheNYPD.” The posts re-emerged after the killing of an NYPD officer, prompting backlash. Despite his history of anti-police rhetoric, Mamdani has since been assigned an NYPD security detail.

Ahead of the election, polling indicated deep unease about Mamdani’s candidacy. A survey reported that nearly nine percent of city residents, around 765,000 people, said they would “definitely” leave if he won, while another 25 percent, or roughly 2.1 million people, said they would consider moving.

Trump Cuts Tariffs on China in Exchange for Fentanyl Crackdown.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: President Donald J. Trump issued an executive order reducing tariffs on Chinese goods from 20 percent to 10 percent following commitments from China to address the synthetic opioid crisis.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: President Donald J. Trump, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

📍WHEN & WHERE: The executive order was signed in November 2025,at the White House, with tariff reductions effective from November 10, 2025.

🎯IMPACT: The decision aims to address the U.S. opioid crisis while maintaining economic leverage over China through revised trade measures.

IN FULL

President Donald J. Trump has issued a new executive order lowering tariffs on Chinese goods from 20 percent to 10 percent, effective November 10, 2025. The move comes as part of a broader agreement with the People’s Republic of China (PRC), in which Beijing has pledged to take “significant measures” to curb the export of synthetic opioids, particularly fentanyl, into the United States.

The order revises tariff rates initially set under Executive Order 14195 and later adjusted by Executive Order 14228. Those tariffs were originally imposed after China was accused of failing to address the role of its chemical industry in the deadly synthetic opioid epidemic, which the Trump administration has officially declared a national emergency.

As part of the new arrangement, China has agreed to block the export of certain chemicals used in fentanyl production to North America and tighten global export regulations on others. In return, the U.S. will reduce the additional ad valorem duty rate to 10 percent, reversing the hike implemented in March 2025. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), in coordination with other agencies, has been tasked with overseeing Chinese compliance. President Trump emphasized that the order “may be modified if the PRC fails to fulfill its promises to combat the synthetic opioid crisis.”

The decision follows a string of high-profile developments linking China to the ongoing fentanyl epidemic. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel recently stated that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is “orchestrating the fentanyl crisis to take out generations of young men and women in America,” describing it as an act of “chemical warfare.”

In October, a Chinese national identified as a “cartel money man” was extradited to the U.S. from Cuba after escaping from Mexico. Earlier this year, the administration also announced a visa crackdown targeting the families of known fentanyl traffickers, signaling a broader strategy to apply diplomatic and financial pressure on those connected to the trade.

Zohran Mamdani’s Supposed Grassroots Campaign Revealed as Foreign Influence Operation.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A coordinated campaign allegedly linked to foreign influence helped propel Zohran Mamdani’s political rise in Queens, New York.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Zohran Mamdani, Kazi Fouzia, Neville Roy Singham, DRUM, DRUM Beats, CAIR, Linda Sarsour, and foreign-aligned networks, including CCP-linked entities.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The campaign unfolded in Queens, New York, with significant digital and in-person mobilization efforts leading up to Mamdani’s election.

🎯IMPACT: The campaign revealed vulnerabilities in American civic processes, with foreign influence operations using non-profit networks in order to interfere in American elections.

IN FULL

The alleged grassroots campaign that catapulted radical socialist Zohran Mamdani into the New York City mayor’s office appears to have been largely a farce, with the operation instead involving a well-coordinated network of politically radical non-profit groups and foreign-aligned operatives. Mamdani’s vaunted army of “Bangladeshi aunties,” who he claimed were swarming New York City neighborhoods to get out the vote, were in reality part of a campaign operation overseen by Kazi Fouzia, a radical Bangladeshi Islamist-Maoist.

Fouzia’s ties to radical elements in the South Asian community were critical to the Mamdani campaign’s ground effort, as was the organization she runs, DRUM, and its affiliate, DRUM Beats. Notably, several of the key organizers for DRUM’s get-out-the-vote operation have close ties to the Haqooq-e-Khalq Party—a radical socialist political party in Pakistan that is widely considered a puppet of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Concerningly, Fouzia and DRUM are also linked to Shanghai-based billionaire Neville Roy Singham, who a number of American media outlets have identified as a key figure in CCP influence operations.

Even more troubling, the unofficial headquarters of the Mamdani campaign was located at Singham’s own nonprofit group, The People’s Forum. The group is currently under congressional investigation over allegations that it acts as an unregistered foreign lobbying operation. Solidifying Mamdani’s ties to Singham further, Alicia Singham Goodwin—the niece of the pro-CCP billionaire—headed Jews for Zohran, an operation aiming to deflect criticism of the candidate’s stance on Israel and allegations of anti-Semitism.

In addition to Mamdani’s ties to South Asian and CCP-tied radicals, the mayor-elect also has long documented ties to radical Islamists as well. The National Pulse previously reported that the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) emerged as one of the dark money funders of  Mamdani’s mayoral bid. Campaign finance records show the group—with alleged ties to Islamic extremists—both directly and indirectly funneled hundreds of thousands of dollars to Mamdani’s mayoral campaign over the last year. In addition, Muslim activist Linda Sarsour claimed CAIR was instrumental in pushing the broader American Mulsim community to contribute to Mamdani, making its impact far larger than data suggests.

Just weeks before election day, Mamdani shared a photo on social media where he appeared alongside radical Islamist Imam Siraj Wahhaj, an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. In the post, Mamdani praised Wahhaj as one of America’s foremost Muslim religious scholars and a local Brooklyn community leader.

UK Accidentally Releases Migrant Prisoner Instead of Deporting Him, Again.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A foreign prisoner was mistakenly released from His Majesty’s Prison (HMP) Wandsworth, marking the second such incident in recent weeks.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: A 24-year-old Algerian migrant, the Metropolitan Police, and Britain’s Prison Service.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The release occurred on Wednesday, October 29, at HMP Wandsworth in south London.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Officers are carrying out urgent enquiries in an effort to locate him and return him to custody.” – Metropolitan Police

🎯IMPACT: The incident raises further serious questions about the competence of the British authorities and the effectiveness of new measures introduced to prevent such errors.

IN FULL

A 24-year-old Algerian prisoner was mistakenly released from His Majesty’s Prison (HMP) Wandsworth in London, England, on October 29, according to the Metropolitan Police. The error marks the second wrongful release of a migrant slated for deporation from a British prison in recent weeks, following the accidental release of convicted pedophile Hadush Kebatu from HMP Chelmsford in Essex.

Police said in a statement: “Shortly after 1 PM on Tuesday 4 November, the Met was informed by the Prison Service that a prisoner had been released in error from HMP Wandsworth on Wednesday 29 October. Officers are carrying out urgent enquiries in an effort to locate him and return him to custody.” The prisoner, who has not been named, was serving a sentence for trespass with intent to steal but is reported to also have a history of sexual offences. When asked to confirm these claims, police declined to comment.

The case comes as HMP Wandsworth continues to face criticism for a string of security failures. In 2023, terror suspect Daniel Khalife escaped the same facility by hiding under a food delivery truck. Around the same time, a former prison officer, Linda de Sousa Abreu, was jailed for misconduct after being filmed having inappropriate relations with an inmate.

This latest incident has reignited concerns about the competence of the British prison authorities and the effectiveness of new measures introduced by Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Secretary David Lammy to prevent such administrative errors following Kebatu’s release.

The scandal also adds to growing public frustration over the government’s handling of foreign national offenders. The release of Kebatu, an Ethiopian migrant convicted of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl and a woman, was paid more than £500 to be deported, a move ministers defended as the “least costly option” but which left his underage victim distraught, telling the media, “I just cried because I felt like he got paid for what he done to me.”

Migrants housed in taxpayer-funded hotels, like Kebatu, have been linked to crime rises. Over the past three years, more than 300 asylum seekers have reportedly been charged with serious offences, including rape, sexual assault, theft, and attacks on emergency workers. Neighboring Ireland has seen similar issues, with violent protests erupting in Dublin last month after a migrant was accused of raping a ten-year-old girl at a hotel.

FBI Joins Hunt for Escaped Gang Leaders in Guatemala.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The U.S. is sending a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) team to assist Guatemala in capturing gang leaders following a mass prison escape.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The FBI, Guatemalan President Bernardo Arevalo, and Barrio 18 gang members.

📍WHEN & WHERE: November 2025, following an escape from the Fraijanes II prison near Guatemala City.

🎯IMPACT: The FBI’s Joint Task Force Vulcan, created during President Donald J. Trump’s first term, will assist in operations aimed at dismantling criminal organizations.

IN FULL

Guatemala has requested assistance from the United States after 20 members of the Barrio 18 gang escaped from the Fraijanes II prison near Guatemala City. Only four of the fugitives have been recaptured thus far, leading to a security crisis in the country.

The U.S. Embassy called the escape “utterly unacceptable” and demanded immediate action from the Guatemalan government. President Bernardo Arevalo dismissed his Interior Minister, Francisco Jimenez, and replaced him with Marco Antonio Villeda, who formally requested Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) assistance. The FBI’s Joint Task Force Vulcan, established by President Donald J. Trump during his first term in office, will now assist in the operation.

Barrio 18 has been classified as a terrorist organization by both the United States and Guatemala. The U.S. government blacklisted the gang in September as part of its broader efforts to combat drug trafficking and gang violence.

According to the Salvadoran government, Barrio 18 and MS-13 are responsible for approximately 200,000 deaths over the past three decades. The Trump administration’s designation of these groups as terrorist organizations has allowed for more aggressive actions, including lethal strikes on drug-trafficking vessels.

The Guatemalan Attorney General’s Office recently requested that President Arevalo’s immunity be lifted to investigate potential negligence related to the jailbreak.

Supreme Court Will Hear Arguments on Trump’s Tariff Authority Today.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The Supreme Court will review the legality of President Donald J. Trump’s use of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) to impose tariffs.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: President Donald J. Trump, U.S. Solicitor General D. John Sauer, and plaintiffs including Learning Resources, Inc.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Supreme Court oral arguments are scheduled for Wednesday, following earlier rulings by lower courts such as the Court of International Trade.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Tomorrow’s United States Supreme Court case is, literally, LIFE OR DEATH for our country,” Trump said on social media, adding that the U.S. is “virtually defenseless against other countries who have, for years, taken advantage of us.”

🎯IMPACT: A ruling could set a precedent on presidential powers under the IEEPA and the separation of powers between Congress and the executive branch.

IN FULL

The United States Supreme Court will hear oral arguments today on whether President Donald J. Trump‘s use of the Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) to impose reciprocal tariffs is constitutional. This will be the first time during President Trump’s second term that the Supreme Court will thoroughly examine a core administration policy on its merits, with its ruling potentially having far-reaching implications for presidential power.

“Tomorrow’s United States Supreme Court case is, literally, LIFE OR DEATH for our country,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social, adding that the U.S. is “virtually defenseless against other countries who have, for years, taken advantage of us.”

At issue is Trump’s use of the IEEPA to impose a 10 percent universal tariff in April, along with reciprocal tariffs on dozens of countries. The America First leader argued at the time that foreign trade deficits constituted a “national-security crisis,” which enabled him to invoke the emergency provisions under the IEEPA.

The court will hear arguments on two consolidated cases, Learning Resources, Inc. v. Trump and Trump v. V.O.S. Selections. In both cases, the plaintiffs, seeking to overturn the President’s tariff policies, achieved success in lower courts. Notably, a three-judge panel for the Court of International Trade ruled earlier this year that Trump’s powers under the IEEPA are not “unbound.” However, the administration argues that the IEEPA grants the president broad powers to counter “unusual and extraordinary threats.”

Additionally, the Department of Justice (DOJ) contends that the “denial of tariff authority would expose our nation to trade retaliation without effective defenses.” Trump’s Solicitor General JD. John Sauer warned in a court filing that overturning the trade levies would have “catastrophic consequences” for American foreign policy and efforts to secure the country’s foreign supply chains.

Jay Jones, Who Fantasized About Murdering Children, Wins AG Race.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Democrat Jay Jones is projected to win the Virginia attorney general race despite a scandal involving violent text messages.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Jay Jones, Jason Miyares, Winsome Earle-Sears, Abigail Spanberger, former President Barack Obama, and Todd Gilbert.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Virginia, Tuesday night, during the attorney general race.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Jason Miyares is Trump’s attorney, not ours,” said a narrator in one of Jones’ closing ads.

🎯IMPACT: Democrats now control the attorney general’s office in 22 states, with Jones pledging to oppose Trump’s policies and protect abortion.

IN FULL

Democrat Jay Jones is projected to win Virginia’s attorney general race despite having fantasized in text messages about murdering a Republican lawmaker and their children. The violent text messages became the dominant issue in the race, with numerous state and national lawmakers having called on Jones to drop out of the race.

Jones defeated incumbent Republican Jason Miyares, who had previously run the attorney general’s office in alignment with President Donald J. Trump‘s policy agenda. Despite running five points behind Abigail Spanberger, the Democrat Party’s victorious gubernatorial nominee, Jones was able to hold off Miyares with a campaign focused on abortion and attacks on the Trump White House.

The scandal centered on text messages Jones sent to a Republican lawmaker, where he expressed ideations about shooting then-GOP Virginia House Speaker Todd Gilbert and his children. The controversy became a central focus of Republican ads, with even gubernatorial candidate Winsome Earle-Sears highlighting the issue. Jones apologized, but his fundraising suffered, and Democrat leaders largely avoided campaigning with him until a rally with former President Barack Obama in Norfolk.

Jones’s victory ensures Democrats now control the attorney general’s office in 22 states.

Kurdish Crime Network Helps Illegals Run Mini-Marts, Sell Black Market Cigarettes to Kids.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A Kurdish crime network has been found enabling migrants to work illegally in mini-marts across the United Kingdom.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Kurdish crime network, BBC undercover reporters, Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood, and “ghost directors” like Hadi Ahmad Ali and Ismael Ahmedi Farzanda.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The investigation spans various locations from Dundee, Scotland, to south Devon, England, as reported on November 5, 2025.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Illegal immigrants are running phoney mini-marts selling smuggled cigarettes and even vapes to children. Our high streets are being used for organised crime, and the government is looking the other way.” – Zia Yusuf, Reform Party

🎯IMPACT: Britain’s Home Office has pledged to investigate the findings and address illegal working and organized crime linked to immigration.

IN FULL

An investigation has uncovered a Kurdish organized criminal network that allows asylum seekers to illegally operate mini-marts on Britain’s high streets, generating profits from black market cigarettes and vapes, some of them sold to children, while evading law enforcement. At the core of the operation are so-called “ghost directors”—individuals paid to act as nominal owners, registering dozens of businesses without any actual involvement in their day-to-day running.

Two undercover journalists, posing as asylum seekers interested in taking over shops, were shown just how straightforward it is to acquire and manage one of these outlets and make substantial earnings from contraband sales. The investigation has tied more than 100 mini-marts, barbershops, and car washes to the scheme, spanning from Dundee in Scotland to Devon in south-west England. Financial crime expert Graham Barrow told the BBC that he believes the scam likely involves hundreds of additional sites.

The report has laid bare a system that enables asylum seekers to work without permits in plain sight amid everyday shoppers, with many stores relying heavily on illegal tobacco and vaping products for revenue. One shop owner told the undercover reporters that his weekly takings from illicit cigarettes could reach “sometimes, up to £3,000.” The ghost directors typically command fees of £250 to £300 a month simply for lending their names to the paperwork.

To avoid detection, these companies are frequently wound up after about a year and then restarted with minor adjustments to their details. Over the course of four months, investigators found a range of illicit practices: asylum seekers offering to sell entire shops for £18,000 in cash; active Kurdish Facebook groups advertising dozens of businesses for sale; and builders promoting sophisticated £6,000 concealment devices, such as button-activated loft dispensers for hiding stock, which they touted as “fine craftsmanship” capable of fooling sniffer dogs. Many asylum seekers end up working punishing 14-hour shifts for as less than the minimum wage.

One key example came from Crewe’s Top Store, where the owner, known as Surchi—a Kurdish asylum seeker from Iraq’s Kurdistan region whose claim was rejected after he arrived in 2022—offered to sell his business to an undercover reporter for £18,000. “You don’t need anything” to run it, he insisted, despite rules that prohibit asylum seekers from such employment. Surchi revealed he paid a contact called “Hadi” £250 each month to front the business: “That’s his job and he probably has 40 to 50 shops under his name. There’s no problem, he doesn’t mind what you sell.” This arrangement helped him avoid immigration scrutiny and tax payments. He also had a device on the premises allowing him to steal electricity.

He admitted to selling vapes to children, saying, “I have customers that are 12 years old, I don’t have any problem with them.” Company records highlight Hadi Ahmad Ali, an Iraqi man in his forties based in Birmingham, England, as a key figure, listed as director for more than 50 such businesses. He is closely linked to Ismaeel Farzanda, who oversees around 25 shops and took over the directorship of seven from Ali.

Farzanda described his role bluntly to the undercover reporter: “I just put the shops under my name for people.” He added a warning about potential busts: “If you know you’re caught, tell us so that for the interviews we can change the name and not get in trouble.”

“Absolutely scandalous,” commented Zia Yusuf, for Nigel Farage’s Reform Party. “Illegal immigrants are running phoney mini-marts selling smuggled cigarettes and even vapes to children. Our high streets are being used for organised crime, and the government is looking the other way.”

“It’s time these sham businesses were shut down and these criminals deported,” he added.

‘Allahu Akbar’ Driver Rams Crowd, Multiple Injured.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A car was deliberately driven into a crowd on the French island of Ile d’Oleron, leaving two critically injured and eight others hurt.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: A 35-year-old male suspect, who has been arrested, and approximately ten victims, including pedestrians and a local parliamentary assistant.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The incident occurred on Wednesday morning around 8:45 AM local time on Ile d’Oleron, France.

💬KEY QUOTE: “At the time of his arrest, [the man] shouted ‘Allah Akbar!’ However, the motive is not confirmed and the investigation will have to determine it.” – Arnaud Laraize, Public Prosecutor of La Rochelle.

🎯IMPACT: Two people remain in critical condition, with five others seriously injured. The investigation is ongoing.

IN FULL

A car was deliberately driven into a crowd on the French island of Ile d’Oleron on Wednesday morning, leaving two people in critical condition and eight others injured. The apparent attack unfolded at approximately 8:45 AM local time, after which authorities apprehended a 35-year-old male driver, who shouted “Allahu Akbar” (Arabic for “[our] God is greater“) after the incident.

Dolus d’Oléron Mayor Thibault Brechkoff described how the driver navigated between two villages, hitting several people on foot, among them a young girl. “No one has died and we are hoping that the injured will recover,” Brechkoff said in an interview with French television. Interior Minister Laurent Nunez confirmed on social media: “Two victims are in absolute emergency and three other people are injured. The suspect has been taken into custody by the gendarmes. An investigation has been opened.”

La Rochelle Public Prosecutor Arnaud Laraize noted that the man yelled “Allah Akbar” as he was detained, but added that “the motive is not confirmed and the investigation will have to determine it.” Reports indicate the suspect tried to ignite his car, which held gas canisters, prior to escaping the area. He reportedly has a history of offenses tied to substance abuse involving drugs and alcohol.

Among those hurt was a parliamentary aide to a regional National Rally (RN) figure; the RN is known for its stance against mass migration. Several victims had to be transported by air to Poitiers University Hospital.

London Schools Label Nigel Farage’s Reform Party ‘Fascist’ in Lesson Plans.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A group of government-funded schools in London, England, has been accused of political indoctrination for presenting teaching materials labeling Nigel Farage’s Reform Party “fascist”.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The Orion group of schools, Reform deputy leader Richard Tice, and education leaders.

📍WHEN & WHERE: South London schools in London, England.

💬KEY QUOTE: “To present such inflammatory and misleading content to young people is a serious failing in duty and professional responsibility.” – Richard Tice

🎯IMPACT: Calls for investigation by the education regulator, Ofsted, and action against the schools for breaches of neutrality and teaching standards.

IN FULL

A group of secondary schools in London, England, has come under scrutiny after allegations that pupils were exposed to politically biased teaching materials. The Orion Education group, which operates eight government-funded schools in South London, reportedly gave students a political spectrum chart that placed Nigel Farage’s Reform Party alongside Adolf Hitler’s National Socialist German Workers’ Party under the label “fascism.” The chart also claimed that supporters of Reform hold “extremist views.”

A separate handout on political extremism featured a photograph of Reform deputy leader Richard Tice and suggested that rejecting “British Values” or democracy, or using words such as “flood” or “invasion” to describe illegal immigration, could be linked to far-right extremism. The materials also warned that newspapers like the notionally right-leaning Daily Mail and The Sun use sensationalist headlines about immigration that can be exploited by extremist groups, while advising students to rely on outlets such as the biased BBC and overtly leftist Guardian for trustworthy reporting.

Richard Tice condemned the lesson content, calling it “factually inaccurate and grossly offensive but also defamatory in nature.” In a letter to Orion Education’s chief executive, Simon Garrill, Tice warned of possible legal action, arguing the organization had breached its duty to remain politically neutral as a registered charity. “To present such inflammatory and misleading content to young people is a serious failing in duty and professional responsibility,” he said.

Serge Cefai, executive headteacher of St Thomas the Apostle School, described the materials in an interview with GB News as a “blatant breach of teaching standards” and called for an investigation by schools regulator Ofsted. “Teachers should teach facts, not opinion,” he said. “If they start teaching opinion, they’ll get into real trouble. I don’t like to use the word grooming, but that’s what it feels like. It’s not education, it’s indoctrination.”

The controversy comes as Reform UK experiences a surge in support. Recent polls suggest the populist party could overtake both Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s Labour Party and the formerly governing Conservatives, with one survey showing Reform with enough support to win a majority in Parliament.

Another poll found Farage to be more trusted than Starmer to lead Britain, with 45 percent of respondents saying he understands the concerns of ordinary people, compared with 36 percent for Starmer. The Labour government has faced accusations of delaying local elections amid fears of major Reform gains.

ICE Captures Sexual Predators, Drug Traffickers in State Crackdown.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrests in Virginia have nearly tripled under President Donald J. Trump’s leadership, with a focus on capturing dangerous and violent offenders.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: ICE, illegal immigrants from Central America and the Caribbean, and Homeland Security officials.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Recent arrests across Virginia, including Richmond, Loudoun County, and Norfolk.

💬KEY QUOTE: “These arrests underscore the reality of open border and sanctuary policies that allowed criminals around the world to come to America and roam free across our country.” – Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin

🎯IMPACT: The arrests highlight ICE’s focus on removing violent offenders and the ongoing mass deportations effort in Virginia and nationwide.

IN FULL

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrests in Virginia have sharply increased under President Donald J. Trump’s administration, nearly tripling compared to the previous administration. Homeland Security officials said the arrests included illegal immigrants from Central America and the Caribbean, specifically from El Salvador, Guatemala, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic, many of whom had previously been deported or had final removal orders.

The illegals taken into custody were accused or convicted of crimes ranging from rape, domestic violence, and extortion to drug smuggling and other violent offenses. For instance, Westher Antonio Jacobo Morales, a Guatemalan national deported in 2016 who returned illegally and was later charged with rape and extortion.

ICE Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said, “These arrests underscore the reality of open border and sanctuary policies that allowed criminals around the world to come to America and roam free across our country.”

The surge in enforcement comes as Virginia prepares for statewide elections, where immigration and public safety have become central campaign issues. Republican Attorney General Jason Miyares said, “Disobedience of the law has no place in Virginia,” emphasizing the state’s commitment to enforcing immigration and criminal laws.
