Multiple people have been stabbed at an anti-Islamization rally in the German city of Mannheim. Graphic video of the attack shows a bearded male attacking people at a rally against Islamist extremism organized by the Citizens’ Movement Pax Europa (BpE), described as a counter-jihad group.
The video shows multiple people attempting to restrain the attacker, including a police officer who appears to be stabbed in the neck while tussling with him on the ground. He is then shot by a second police officer. The condition of the attacker and his victims is unknown as of the time of publication.
One of the victims has been identified as “far-right activist and anti-Islam critic Michael Stürzenberger” by the European Union-funded Euronews outlet.
