Regulators Accuse TikTok of Secretly Sending User Data to China.

PULSE POINTS:

What Happened: TikTok faces a $599 million fine for illegal data transfers to China.

👥 Who’s Involved: TikTok, Irish Data Protection Commission, President Donald J. Trump.

📍 Where & When: Ireland; alleged violations occurred between 2020 and 2022.

💬 Key Quote: “TikTok failed to verify, guarantee and demonstrate that the personal data of [European] users… was afforded a level of protection essentially equivalent to that guaranteed within the EU,” said Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC) Deputy Commissioner Graham Doyle.

⚠️ Impact: TikTok must align its data practices with EU standards within six months or halt data transfers to China. Plans for an appeal have been stated.

IN FULL:

Irish regulators have imposed a substantial fine on TikTok, the Beijing-owned video platform, requiring the company to pay $599 million. This penalty arises after it was discovered that TikTok unlawfully sent user data from Europe to China, breaching data protection laws of the European Union (EU), according to the Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC).

Following a four-year investigation, the DPC concluded that TikTok had not implemented adequate safeguards when transferring European users’ data to China. Additionally, between 2020 and 2022, the platform did not disclose to its users that their data could be accessed by personnel in China.

“TikTok failed to verify, guarantee and demonstrate that the personal data of [European] users, remotely accessed by staff in China, was afforded a level of protection essentially equivalent to that guaranteed within the EU,” DPC deputy commissioner Graham Doyle said.

This fine coincides with enduring scrutiny of TikTok’s connections to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). U.S. officials have raised national security concerns over TikTok and mandated that the app sever ties with its Chinese parent company, ByteDance, by June 19, or it risks an outright ban in the U.S.

Despite TikTok’s persistent denials regarding the storage of European or American data on Chinese servers, the company admitted in April to having stored limited data from European users in China. The revelations prompted serious concerns from Irish regulators about further regulatory actions that might be necessary.

The fine constitutes the third-largest fine under the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Regulators have instructed TikTok to bring its data handling practices into compliance with EU standards within six months, or it will be required to suspend all data transfers to China.

In response, TikTok has stated its strong disagreement with the Irish commission’s findings and its intentions to appeal the decision.

Countries Like This Tiny African Kingdom Are Key to Trump’s Deportation Strategy, Here’s Why:

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The Trump administration has ramped up deportations of illegal immigrants, including leveraging agreements with third-party countries like Eswatini (Swaziland) to bypass legal hurdles.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: President Donald J. Trump’s administration, Simon Hankinson of the Heritage Foundation, and illegal immigrants like Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Ongoing deportation efforts under the Trump administration, with countries like Eswatini, Rwanda, and Panama involved in third-party agreements.

💬KEY QUOTE: “If an alien has a veto on being sent home, then it’s a one-way street. It’s just a ratchet and never goes back down again.” – Simon Hankinson

🎯IMPACT: The agreements help the U.S. maintain national security by ensuring deportations proceed even when home-country returns are blocked.

IN FULL

As the Trump administration continues its efforts to curb illegal immigration, the use of third-party countries like Eswatini, commonly known as Swaziland, has become a key strategy in deportation cases. These agreements allow the U.S. to send deportees to nations other than their home country, addressing claims of torture or harm.

Simon Hankinson, a senior research fellow at the Heritage Foundation, highlighted the importance of these agreements in a recent media appearance, stating, “Our law allows us, if we can’t send someone back to their home country, we can send them back to a country in which they resided for some time, or in which they have gotten protection before or in a pinch to another country that will accept them and will not torture them or otherwise abuse them.”

One high-profile case involves Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an alleged MS-13 gang member from El Salvador, who has delayed deportation by claiming fear of persecution in over 22 countries. Recently, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) notified his legal team that he would be deported to Eswatini, a small African kingdom.

Hankinson emphasized that these third-party country agreements are vital to national security, as they prevent illegal immigrants from having a “veto” on their deportation. “There are a lot of people who were let in under the Biden administration, thousands of people, who have criminal records back home that we know nothing about, and they’re sooner or later going to victimize American citizens,” he said.

While the numbers sent to third-party countries are relatively small for now, Hankinson believes these operations can expand significantly. “I would think that the Trump administration would want to have as many of these deals as possible,” he said, stressing that such agreements ensure deportations proceed despite legal challenges.

Transgender Lawmaker Stacie Laughton Pleads Guilty to Child Exploitation.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A transgender lawmaker admitted to child sex offences after receiving explicit photos of children from a daycare where his partner worked.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: New Hampshire state Rep. Stacie Laughton and his partner Lindsay Groves.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The plea occurred in November 2025 in Boston. The offences took place between May 2022 and June 2023.

🎯IMPACT: Both Laughton and Groves face up to 30 years in prison, with sentencing scheduled for February.

IN FULL

Stacie Laughton, a former New Hampshire Democrat state representative, pleaded guilty in federal court this week to charges of sexual exploitation of children. The charges were brought after Laughton—who is transgender and a biological man—requested his partner, Lindsay Groves, to send explicit photos of children from the daycare where Groves worked.

Groves, who was employed at Creative Minds daycare in Tyngsborough, Massachusetts, took the photos of children during routine activities, such as bathroom breaks and nap time, and sent them to Laughton. The images were taken between May 2022 and June 2023 and included at least four sexually explicit photos of children aged three to five.

The Nashua Police Department launched an investigation after receiving a tip, leading to Laughton’s arrest in June 2023. Groves had already confessed to taking and sending the images to Laughton, who was serving as the first transgender elected to a state legislature at the time.

Laughton has a history of legal issues, including arrests for domestic violence, sexual assault, making bomb threats, and misusing emergency services. Despite this, he was elected for a second term in 2022, but unable to serve due to being jailed on stalking charges.

Over 1,000 Boat Migrants Surge Across the English Channel in a Day.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Over 1,000 migrants on small boats crossed the English Channel over 24 hours.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Migrants, British and French maritime authorities.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The English Channel, over the past 24 hours.

🎯IMPACT: The total arrivals this year have already surpassed last year’s total of 36,816, reaching approximately 38,000.

IN FULL

More than 1,000 people have crossed the English Channel in small boats over the past 24 hours. The latest arrivals include over 600 people who reached the United Kingdom on Thursday and around 400 more who have either landed or are currently heading towards British waters. These crossings mark the first in two weeks, after poor weather conditions temporarily halted people-smuggling operations across the Channel.

In one incident on Thursday, 94 migrants were rescued when their boat broke apart just four miles from Dunkirk, France. French maritime authorities reported that three of those rescued were taken to the hospital and treated for hypothermia.

The new surge brings the total number of arrivals this year to approximately 38,000, already exceeding the 36,816 who crossed during the whole of last year. It damages the credibility of some in Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s Labour Party, such as former Prime Minister Tony Blair’s infamous lieutenant Alastair Campbell, who had been gloating over the brief lull in crossings.

The renewed wave of Channel crossings comes amid growing concern about the British government’s handling of illegal migration. In particular, the government continues to face pressure over the cost of accommodating those who arrive illegally. Reports suggest that housing migrants in taxpayer-funded hotels is now costing the British taxpayer around £108 million (~$142.1m) a month.

Immigration enforcement also remains a major challenge. Official figures indicate that Britain has deported only about 0.5 percent of boat migrants since 2020. Efforts to send some migrants to third countries, particularly Rwanda, were scrapped by Starmer when he entered office in mid-2024.

ICE Detention Numbers Hit Record High.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials set a new record for most suspected illegal immigrants held in detention, reaching 66,000.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: ICE officials and detained individuals, with commentary from Homeland Security spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin.

📍WHEN & WHERE: This week, across ICE detention facilities in the United States.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Seventy percent of illegal aliens ICE has arrested have criminal convictions or pending criminal charges just in the U.S.” – Tricia McLaughlin

🎯IMPACT: The detention numbers highlight ongoing challenges in managing immigration and enforcement policies.

IN FULL

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced it has set a new, all-time high for the number of illegal immigrants currently detained, with 66,000 in custody. This surpasses the previous record of 56,000 detainees, which was set during President Donald J. Trump’s first term in 2019.

When President Trump returned to office in January, there were approximately 39,000 migrants in ICE’s detention system. ICE facilities have the capacity to hold up to 70,000 detainees, though the Trump administration is currently seeking to expand this number by opening new and temporary facilities across the nation.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin stated, “Seventy percent of illegal aliens ICE has arrested have criminal convictions or pending criminal charges just in the U.S. This statistic doesn’t even account for those wanted for violent crimes in their country of origin or another country, INTERPOL notices, human rights abusers, gang members, or terrorists.”

The National Pulse reported in October that President Trump has overseen 515,000 deportations.  Notably, at the current rate, the Trump administration is on track to achieve 600,000 deportations by the end of the year, surpassing the record set by former President Barack Obama.

Kanye West Apologizes to Rabbi, Blames Bipolar Disorder for Anti-Semitic Remarks.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Rapper Kanye “Ye” West apologized to Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto for his anti-Semitic remarks and attributed his behavior to struggles with bipolar disorder.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Kanye West, Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto, and audiences following the controversy.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The meeting occurred on Tuesday in New York City.

💬KEY QUOTE: “I feel really blessed to be able to sit here with you today and just take accountability.” – Kanye West

🎯IMPACT: The apology marks a public attempt by West to address the backlash from his antisemitic remarks and rebuild relationships.

IN FULL

Kanye West, also known as Ye, recently apologized to Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto in New York City for his previous anti-Semitic remarks. In a video shared on social media, West expressed “profound remorse” and attributed his comments to struggles with bipolar disorder, which he said had led him to take ideas “to an extreme.”

“I feel really blessed to be able to sit here with you today and just take accountability,” West told the rabbi. “Sometimes people aren’t that knowledgeable about bipolar and the cause, or what causes it, and the way you act when you have this disease.”

Rabbi Pinto, speaking through a translator, described West as “a very good man” and emphasized the importance of correcting mistakes. “A person is not defined by his mistakes, but by the way he chooses to correct them,” Pinto said in a statement. The two embraced during the meeting, as seen in the video.

West’s controversial statements began in 2022, when he threatened to go “death con 3 on Jewish people” on social media. This was followed by a series of interviews in which he praised Adolf Hitler and repeated conspiracy theories about Jewish control of media and finance. In May 2025, he released a song titled “Heil Hitler” and sold T-shirts featuring swastikas, actions that further fueled public outrage.

Despite claiming he was “done with antisemitism” shortly after the song’s release, West’s remarks and actions had already cost him major business partnerships and sparked global condemnation. During his apology to Rabbi Pinto, West stated, “I love all people. God forgive me for the pain I’ve caused. I forgive those who have caused me pain. Thank you, God.”

WATCH: Another Boat Full of Narco-Terrorists Neutralized in Lethal Strike.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The U.S. military carried out a kinetic strike on a drug-smuggling vessel in the Caribbean.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, President Donald J. Trump, and members of a Designated Terrorist Organization.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The strike took place Thursday in international waters in the Caribbean Sea.

💬KEY QUOTE: “To all narco-terrorists who threaten our homeland: if you want to stay alive, stop trafficking drugs.” – Pete Hegseth

🎯IMPACT: Three suspected narco-terrorists were killed. The Trump administration plans to continue these strikes to combat drug trafficking.

IN FULL

The U.S. military conducted a kinetic strike on a drug-smuggling vessel in the Caribbean on Thursday, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced. The strike, directed by President Donald J. Trump, targeted a vessel operated by a Designated Terrorist Organization. This marks the 17th publicly reported action against suspected drug-running boats under the Trump administration. While the cartel group was not identified, it is believed they were either members of Venezuela’s Tren de Aragua or the Cartel de los Soles—the latter being directly tied to Venezuela’s hard-left dictator Nicolás Maduro.

“Today, at the direction of President Trump, the Department of War carried out a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel operated by a Designated Terrorist Organization,” Hegseth stated. He confirmed the vessel was trafficking narcotics in international waters, and three male narco-terrorists aboard the boat were killed. No U.S. forces were harmed in the operation.

Hegseth shared a 20-second video of the strike, showing the vessel being destroyed. He emphasized that these actions would continue until the poisoning of Americans by narco-terrorists ceases. “To all narco-terrorists who threaten our homeland: if you want to stay alive, stop trafficking drugs. If you keep trafficking deadly drugs—we will kill you,” he warned.

Since these strikes began, at least 69 suspected drug traffickers have been killed. Three have survived across two targeted vessels, with two of them repatriated to their home countries for prosecution. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Hegseth briefed top congressional leaders earlier this week, with Democratic leaders questioning the legal authority for the strikes. Republicans largely supported them.

Senator Jim Risch (R-ID), chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, commented, “The President really ought to be congratulated for saving the lives of young American people. He should be thanked by the many parents who won’t even know that they won’t have to bury kids prematurely. They’re doing good work. They’re doing it lawfully, and I encourage them to keep it up.”

Trump Admin Launches Over 100 Probes into H-1B Visa Abuses to Protect American Workers.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The Department of Labor (DOL) announced 175 ongoing investigations into potential abuses of the H-1B visa program as part of its initiative to safeguard American jobs and ensure compliance with visa regulations.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The Department of Labor, Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer, President Donald J. Trump, and various employers utilizing the H-1B visa program.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Investigations launched in September 2025 under the DOL’s Project Firewall initiative.

💬KEY QUOTE: “The Labor Department is using every resource currently at our disposal to put a stop to H-1B visa abuse, and for the first time, I am personally certifying investigations into suspected violations to better protect American jobs.” – Lori Chavez-DeRemer

🎯IMPACT: The investigations aim to address wage suppression, fraudulent practices, and ensure American workers are prioritized for high-skilled jobs.

IN FULL

The Department of Labor (DOL) has launched at least 175 investigations into potential abuses of the H-1B visa program, as part of its Project Firewall initiative, which began in September 2025. The program aims to ensure that American workers are prioritized for job opportunities and that employers comply with visa regulations. This effort marks an unprecedented move, with Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer personally certifying the investigations.

“The Labor Department is using every resource currently at our disposal to put a stop to H-1B visa abuse, and for the first time, I am personally certifying investigations into suspected violations to better protect American jobs,” Chavez-DeRemer said in a statement. The investigations have already uncovered cases where foreign workers were paid significantly less than advertised, driving down wages for both visa holders and American workers. Additionally, some employers failed to notify U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) when an H-1B visa holder was terminated, or delayed this notification.

The DOL’s announcement coincided with President Donald J. Trump’s proclamation imposing a $100,000 one-time fee on H-1B visa petitions. The White House stated that the fee aims to prevent companies from exploiting the system by hiring cheap foreign labor and instead promote American businesses that genuinely need high-skilled workers. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick commented, “The whole idea is no more will these Big Tech companies or other big companies train foreign workers. They have to pay the government $100,000, then they have to pay the employee, so it’s just not [economical].”

Investigations have revealed additional issues, such as fraudulent Labor Condition Applications (LCA), where employers failed to notify American workers about job openings or misrepresented job descriptions and wages. Some employers even listed non-existent work sites or paid employees less than what was detailed in the LCA. In some cases, H-1B visa holders were “benched,” meaning they were not paid while between projects.

Twice-Deported Pedophile Injures ICE Officer During Arrest.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A twice-removed illegal immigrant in Houston, Texas, assaulted a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer, causing severe injuries.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Salvadoran illegal immigrant Walter Leonel Perez Rodriguez and a U.S. ICE officer.

📍WHEN & WHERE: During an ICE operation in Houston on Monday.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Our brave ICE officers are facing record-high assaults as they lock up pedophiles and other depraved criminals to keep American families safe.” – DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin

🎯IMPACT: The incident highlights the growing danger faced by ICE officers and the ongoing challenges of illegal immigration enforcement.

IN FULL

A Salvadoran illegal immigrant, Walter Leonel Perez Rodriguez, assaulted a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer during an operation in Houston on Monday, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The officer suffered burns to the side of his face and a severe laceration to his mouth after being struck with a metal coffee cup. The injuries required 13 stitches.

DHS revealed that Perez Rodriguez has a history of illegal re-entry into the United States, having been removed twice before, in 2013 and 2020. His criminal record includes a conviction for sexual assault of a child under 17, child fondling, and multiple DUIs. He is now in ICE custody.

In response to the attack, DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin stated, “This repeated criminal illegal alien is about to find out the hard way that there’s a new sheriff in town—and under President Trump and Secretary Noem, anyone who lays a hand on our ICE officers will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

The assault comes amid a reported 1,000 percent increase in attacks on Homeland Security law enforcement officers. ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Field Office Director Bret Bradford noted that agents arrested 1,505 illegal immigrants in a recent southeast Texas operation, including gang members, child predators, and a convicted murderer. Bradford emphasized that these arrests “prevented countless Houstonians from having to suffer from the nightmares and PTSD that come with being a victim of violent crime.”

The October operation also resulted in the arrests of 17 documented gang members, 40 aggravated felons, and 13 sexual predators, with offenses including aggravated assaults, DWIs, and drug and weapons charges. ICE confirmed that 255 of those arrested had been previously deported from the U.S. at least once.

Over 1,000 Flights Canceled as Democrat Shutdown Drags On.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Airports across the U.S. are experiencing significant delays and cancellations following a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) order to scale back flights due to the ongoing government shutdown.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The Federal Aviation Administration, major airlines like United, Southwest, and American, and thousands of passengers nationwide.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The order took effect on November 7, 2025, impacting 40 airports nationwide, including major hubs in Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, and New York.

💬KEY QUOTE: “If I were you, I wouldn’t travel over the next three days,” said Karen Soika, a passenger affected by the cancellations.

🎯IMPACT: Over 1,100 flights have been canceled and nearly 10,000 delays recorded, with disruptions expected to worsen as reductions increase to 10 percent by next week.

IN FULL

Airports across the United States are grinding to a halt as delays mount, with over 1,000 flights canceled this morning. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued an unprecedented order to scale back flights nationwide, citing the ongoing Democrat government shutdown, which is now the longest in U.S. history.

The FAA reductions began at four percent today and are set to increase to 10 percent by next Friday. This cutback affects all commercial air carriers and is impacting 40 airports nationwide, including major hubs such as Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, and Charlotte, as well as metropolitan areas like New York, Houston, Chicago, and Washington, D.C.

According to flight tracking data, over 1,100 flights were canceled before 8 AM today, with an additional 9,800 delays recorded. Airports such as Atlanta, Chicago O’Hare, Denver, and LAX have been hit the hardest, with cancellation rates of around three percent reported this morning.

Passengers are scrambling to adjust their travel plans. Karen Soika, a top cosmetic surgeon, arrived at Newark Airport only to find her flight canceled. She decided to rent a car and drive 2,100 miles to Utah to ensure she arrives by Tuesday. “From what I hear with the counters, the airline counters and TSA, they literally said to me: ‘If I were you, I wouldn’t travel over the next three days,'” Soika told CNN.

Airlines are required to refund customers for canceled flights, but are not obligated to cover secondary costs, such as food and hotel stays, unless the delay or cancellation is within the airline’s control. Some carriers, including United, Southwest, and American, are offering travelers the option to voluntarily cancel their trips and receive refunds, even for non-refundable tickets. Meanwhile, airlines are focusing on minimizing disruptions by reducing or eliminating routes to and from smaller cities.

Britain Is Granting Asylum to Known Predators: Whistleblower.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A whistleblower at Britain’s Home Office, roughly equivalent to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, has revealed that migrants charged with serious crimes, including sex offences, are being granted asylum.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: A Home Office caseworker, Afghan asylum seekers, Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood, of Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s Labour Party, and Home Office officials.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The allegations have surfaced amidst an ongoing review of the British asylum system in 2025.

💬KEY QUOTE: “I said: ‘I’m refusing. He’s a wrong ’un.’ And my senior manager said we can’t refuse an Afghan, we’ve got to grant.” – Home Office whistleblower.

🎯IMPACT: The whistleblower’s revelations underline the systemic issues in the British asylum process, with soaring application numbers and concerns over public safety.

IN FULL

A whistleblower at Britain’s Home Office, roughly equivalent to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, has revealed that migrants accused of serious crimes, including sexual offenses, are being granted asylum in Britain. The caseworker stated that officials are approving asylum applications from migrants who have committed or been accused of crimes that would attract a prison sentence of less than 12 months if committed in Britain.

The whistleblower said she faced disciplinary action after refusing the asylum application of an Afghan man accused of repeatedly exposing himself in a children’s play area. “I said: ‘I’m refusing. He’s a wrong ’un.’ And my senior manager said we can’t refuse an Afghan, we’ve got to grant,” she said. “I was refusing that man because… I believed he posed a threat to children, but he was never going to receive a jail sentence for indecent exposure, he was just getting repeated warnings.”

She also revealed that caseworkers are being pressured to approve more claims, with applications from some countries, such as Sudan and Eritrea, being fast-tracked with less scrutiny. She described the situation as “lose-lose” for staff, saying employees are caught between pressure from senior officials and public criticism over excessively generous decisions.

The revelations come as Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood prepares to announce reforms to the asylum system, including stricter rules for migrants with criminal records and measures which will supposedly prevent people using human rights laws to avoid deportation as often as they do at present. Mahmood, of Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s Labour Party, has acknowledged that the Home Office is “not yet fit for purpose.”

Asylum claims in the United Kingdom have reached record highs, with 111,000 applications submitted in the year to June 2025, a 14 percent rise compared with the previous year. In the same period, 37,000 migrants arrived in Britain by small boat alone, an increase of 17 percent on 2024.

The financial burden of accommodating asylum seekers has also drawn criticism. Reports have estimated that housing asylum seekers costs UK taxpayers around £15 million every day, with many placed in hotels due to shortages of permanent accommodation. Hundreds of migrants living in taxpayer-funded hotels have been charged with serious offences, including rape and assault.

In one case, the government reportedly paid more than $600 to a convicted pedophile migrant, previously released from prison in error, to persuade him to cooperate with his deportation.
