The C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group has an “ambitious target” to convince Americans to “give up meat, dairy, and private car ownership, as well as almost all flights,” and counts 14 cities in the United States as partners, already.
The group is headed and largely funded by Democrat billionaire Michael Bloomberg, with major contributors such as George Soros’s Open Society Foundations, the Clinton Foundation, and even the World Bank.
The plan is to force adoption of these policies within the next seven years, according to their own report.
To date, the following cities are subject to the plans:
- Austin
- Boston
- Chicago
- Houston
- Los Angeles
- Miami
- New Orleans
- New York City
- Philadelphia
- Phoenix
- Portland
- San Francisco
- Washington, D.C.
- Seattle.
