Canning confirmed that Clark “was not on campus at all” in 2026. While in isolation, reportedly suicidal, Clark wrote a note containing broadly anti-Islamic sentiment and racial rhetoric, but made “no specific threat, especially no specific threat to the Islamic Center,” according to the police chief. In addition to the note, a red gasoline canister with a sticker displaying Nazi SS runes was found at the site. Clark had no track record of misconduct at the school.

Also earlier in the year, Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Kash Patel suggested that the FBI is preparing to make arrests in relation to electoral fraud during the 2020 election. “We are going to be making arrests, and it’s coming, and I promise you, it’s coming soon,” Patel said in April.

A new Rasmussen poll reveals widespread skepticism among U.S. voters about federal officials’ transparency regarding China’s role in the COVID-19 pandemic and gain-of-function research.

Thirty-eight percent claimed to be familiar with gain-of-function research as a concept. The survey’s margin of error was ±3 percentage points.
