Yet, co-founders Chris Aboukhaled and Mohammed Abu Dalhoum have both been implicated in promoting disputed claims of Israeli military action. This has prompted discussions on the administration’s ability to contain disinformation and its funding for groups allegedly voicing anti-Israel sentiments.
The funding of MENAACTION contributes to a broader initiative tackling widespread disinformation surrounding contested political matters.
Notably, the Department of Homeland Security established the Disinformation Governance Board in the previous year. The board was spearheaded by Nina Jankowicz, a disinformation researcher reportedly linked to spreading unsubstantiated claims about Hunter Biden’s laptop and Trump’s supposed collusion with Russia.
Questions regarding the grants awarded to MENAACTION and transparency in government funding have emerged. Yet, the State Department’s specific details about the grant yet to be clarified.

Former Special Counsel Jack Smith is accused of having tracked the private communications and phone records of at least twelve Republican Senators as part of his investigation into the January 6 Capitol riots, according to a document in possession of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The document, titled “CAST Assistance” and dated September 27, 2023, was discovered by FBI Director Kash Patel. “CAST” refers to the FBI’s cellular analysis survey team.
The investigation, known as “Arctic Frost,” reportedly targeted Senators Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Ron Johnson (R-WI), Josh Hawley (R-MO), Cynthia Lummis (R-WY), Bill Hagerty (R-TN), Dan Sullivan (R-AK), Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), and Rep. Mike Kelly (R-PA). An FBI special agent on Smith’s team conducted preliminary toll analysis on the lawmakers’ phone records, revealing call locations and numbers dialed. The calls were reportedly related to the certification of the 2020 election.
“It is a disgrace that I have to stand on Capitol Hill and reveal this—that the FBI was once weaponized to track the private communications of U.S. lawmakers for political purposes,” said FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino, who briefed lawmakers on the discovery. “That era is over.”

Smith, appointed as special counsel in November 2022, charged President Donald J. Trump in connection with efforts to overturn the 2020 election and the January 6 Capitol riots, but later sought to dismiss the case after Trump’s election. The case reportedly cost taxpayers over $50 million.
FBI officials, under the direction of Patel and Bongino, have launched a broader review of the “Arctic Frost” case. The review comes in response to an oversight request by Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA). “We promised accountability for those who weaponized law enforcement, and we will deliver it,” Patel stated.

An explosion and subsequent fire destroyed the $1.5 million Edisto Beach home of South Carolina Circuit Court Judge Diane Goodstein on Saturday morning. The explosion occurred just weeks after Judge Goodstein issued a ruling against the Trump administration, blocking the state from handing over voter registration data to the federal government.
Judge Goodstein was walking on the beach at the time of the explosion. Her husband, Arnie, and other family members were inside the home and had to escape by jumping from windows or balconies. Arnie Goodstein sustained serious injuries, including multiple broken bones, and was airlifted to a hospital. The condition of her son, Arnold Goodstein II, remains unclear.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is investigating the cause of the fire, which began around 11:30 AM on Saturday. Chief Justice John Kittredge confirmed that local law enforcement has been alerted to provide additional patrols and security for the judge and her family.

One of the primary methods the group says it will employ in its campaign is geofenced digital ads, meaning the online advertisements will be limited to specific geographic locations, even individual buildings. Geofencing is a common practice in the digital advertising space to ensure a specific audience or consumer base is reached.
In the case of Show Faith by Works, LLC, it appears they intend to geofence their ad campaign to specific, predetermined churches and Christian universities. It is unclear if ad recipients will continue to receive the digital messages outside of the geofenced area, though that is often an option employed by advertisers to keep their ads in front of their desired audience.
Specifically, the filing states they will “Geofence the actual boundaries of every Major church in California, Arizona, Nevada and Coloardo and all Christian Colleges during worship times,” and “Track attendees and continue to target with ads.”

Amazon Prime Video has been heavily criticized for altering its James Bond artwork to remove the iconic secret agent’s pistol from digital movie posters. The move sparked intense fan pushback, which resulted in the doctored posters being quietly removed.
The artwork, displayed on the Prime Video UK website, featured digitally disarmed images of Bond. In classic films like Dr. No and Goldeneye, Bond’s iconic Walther PPK pistol was edited out, and in A View to a Kill, Roger Moore’s arms were awkwardly lengthened to exclude the firearm.
