Rapper and singer Afroman has rerecorded his acclaimed 2000 hit “Because I Got High” with lyrics about Joe Biden‘s son, Hunter Biden. The new parody, “Hunter Got High,” pokes fun at the Biden son’s infamous laptop scandal, his drug use, alleged pay-to-play schemes involving his father, and even his art career. The remixed song, released by Baste Records, was posted for viewing on X, accompanied by a detailed music video now available on YouTube.
“He was gonna get his laptop fixed, But Hunter got high,” Afroman sings in a clear reference to Hunter Biden’s notorious leaked laptop saga. “He shoulda let Hillary bleach the whole hard drive. But Hunter got high, Hunter got high, Hunter got high,” he sings.
Furthermore, Afroman doesn’t shy away from allegations against the Biden family regarding influence peddling. “Ukraine wasn’t part of the plan, till Hunter got high,” he sings. “China wasn’t that big a fan, till Hunter got high. He wasn’t gonna split it all, with the old big guy. But Hunter got high, Hunter got high, Hunter got high.”
Afroman also alludes to the cocaine discovery at the White House last summer which resulted in the Secret Service suspending its investigation without identifying an offender: “He thought he had a secret stash, but Hunter got high. The White House got shut down, and we all know why. Hunter got high, Hunter got high, Hunter got high.”
The song also includes a mockery of Hunter Biden’s art career, a contentious topic that has received criticism from House Republicans who argue potential conflict of interest issues might arise with affluent buyers due to Hunter’s White House connectivity. “Biden never use to start with B-U-Y. Till Hunter got high, Hunter got high, Hunter got high,” sings Afroman.
