Truth-Loose and Policy-Free: Biden’s Valley Forge Speech and His Campaign Plan.

In an act of desecration of yet another great American monument, Joe Biden gave his January 6th speech at Valley Forge today. The address came a day early, since the Commander in Chief and his aides were worried it would be too cold tomorrow. Hardly the Valley Forge spirit Biden attempted to invoke during his irate, truth-loose and policy-free rant.

ALL THE J6 HOAXES.

In full flow, the 81-year-old president prattled off lie after lie about his political opponent, Donald Trump, including the false claim that Trump “did nothing,” during the January 6th riots. Trump in fact tried to have the National Guard deployed the day before, called for protesters to “march peacefully” prior to the event, and even told them to go home after police provoked them and things got out of control.

Biden parlayed this lie into his next: that Trump “lost 6o court cases” concerning the 2020 election. In reality, most of these cases were dismissed, never to be heard. Trump never got his day in court. And conversely, nor did those who repudiate his claims. It’s why to this day Biden’s entire presidency is viewed as illegitimate by at least a third of Americans.

Amidst his crocodile tears over the lives of police officers – something Biden failed to ever address during the far deadlier Black Lives Matter riots – the Commander in Chief failed to mention those murdered by the police in cold blood: Ashli Babbit and Rosanne Boyland. For all his highfalutin rhetoric of being a president for all Americans, and working to bring the nation together, he couldn’t spare one line for those executed by the state on January 6th 2021.

Instead, Biden turned his ire at J6 prisoners, mocking them for singing the national anthem from their prison cells, and attacking Donald Trump for playing their song at his rallies. Today, amidst the revisionism and plagiarism, Biden found his most spiteful side.

ALL OUT WAR.

Speaking from an historic battlefield while painting a target on the head of Donald Trump and his followers, Biden claimed it was Trump who fancies “all out war” instead of reconciliation. The war hungry president who has not just seen a resurgence in attacks on American troops overseas, but also instructed his Department of Justice and other government agencies to assail his political opponents had the audacity to make that allegation against the only president in recent history who hasn’t started a war, and who didn’t oppress his opponents.

Perhaps the latter decision was a mistake by a post-2016 Trump, more concerned with uniting the country than defeating his personal enemies. Now, Biden says he fears the total opposite. A Trump who understands that in order for the nation to come together, certain corrupt political factions and norms must be defeated and abolished. That’s what this Valley Forge speech was really about. And on that point, perhaps “Sleepy Joe” was right.

TRUTH LOOSE & POLICY FREE.

Get used to this Joe Biden. This is the real Joe Biden. A habitual liar, a con-man par excellence, and a wannabe bully who drops lines such as today’s “I’m glad you can’t see the Irish in me,” as if he’s a hard man. But he’s not a hard man. And everyone around him knows it. Only the weak and frail need to assail their political enemies with the weaponization of government, with corporate media cover, and by reciting a tissue of lies at every opportunity.

In the lead up to his Friday speech, a CNN commentator noted how nothing policy–wise matters at this election, because “our democracy” is at stake. By that measure the border doesn’t matter, the economy doesn’t matter, America’s standing in the world doesn’t matter, and anyone who thinks otherwise is a threat to “our democracy.” Expect this to be the core theme of Biden’s campaign. After all, he can scarcely run on his record, can he?

And with all that in mind, be prepared for an assault on the truth that would make Frank Abagnale Jr’s head spin.

Joe Biden has lied his whole life for this moment. The next eleven months are where he intends for that to pay off.
