Trump Comms Chief Blasts ‘Idiot’ at CBS After Mar-a-Lago Misreporting.

The corporate media is taking flak for setting off a panic on social media after an unofficial CBS News television pool falsely reported ambulances accompanied by United States Secret Service (USSS) leaving President-elect Donald J. Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence. In reality, the emergency vehicles and USSS presence were part of Vice President-elect J.D. Vance’s motorcade.

“The press has set up a fake, unofficial “pool” because they want to feel important about themselves,” Steven Cheung, the incoming Trump White House Communications Director, wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter). He continued: “In this case, some idiot at CBS overreacted and set off the fire alarm for no reason thinking they were going to get the scoop of a lifetime.”

“F*cking dummy,” Cheung added.

Andrew Feinberg, a reporter for The Independent, a leftist news site based in the United Kingdom, set off the initial media panic. At 4:16 PM, Feinberg posted on X, citing the unofficial CBS News pool: “NOW: Per pool, 2 ambulances and several vans that appeared full of @SecretService have left Mar-a-Lago in the last few minutes.” Almost 30 minutes later, Feinberg clarified that the report was a false alarm but offered no other details.

The National Pulse’s Editor-in-Chief, Raheem Kassam, was the first to report that the fake CBS News pool’s claim regarding an emergency at Mar-a-Lago was incorrect. “This is NOT an official pool report, I am told by Trump world sources. This is some recently invented CBS pool that they made up for themselves,” Kassam wrote on X at 4:38 PM, continuing: “It’s not reliable. A separate source tells me there’s nothing out of the ordinary going on.”

International Criminal Court Issues Arrest Warrant for Netanyahu.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, and a prominent Hamas leader. The ICC, headquartered in the Netherlands, accuses Prime Minister Netanyahu of war crimes and crimes against humanity related to the protracted conflict in Gaza following the October 7 assault on Israel by Hamas in 2023.

Netanyahu branded the court’s decision “absurd and false.” He asserted that Israel’s actions in Gaza are justified.

The ICC’s move designates Netanyahu and the others as internationally wanted figures. However, the practical impact of these warrants is dubious. Neither Israel nor its primary ally, the United States, are members of the ICC. The Hamas official the court is seeking has reportedly already been killed in the ongoing conflict.

The ICC claims there is evidence that Netanyahu and Gallant were responsible for attacks targeting civilians. Among the alleged crimes is the use of starvation as a method of warfare.

The ICC relies on member states to enforce arrests, lacking its own policing capacity. Israel has consistently rejected the court’s jurisdiction, and it seems unlikely Britain and other Western ICC members will take Netanyahu into custody.

The warrants come after the ICC also issued similar arrest warrants for Russia’s President Vladimir Putin and others in March of 2023, arguing that Russia had kidnapped children from Ukraine.

Russia, like Israel and the United States, is not a current signatory to the Rome Statute and does not recognize the authority of the ICC, as the country withdrew its support in 2016. No country has yet to attempt to arrest President Putin, either.

Neuralink, a brain-computer interface company founded by Elon Musk, has been granted approval by Health Canada to start recruiting participants for its first clinical trial in the country. This marks a notable advancement for Neuralink in its objective to develop technology that aids individuals with paralysis in controlling external devices using mental commands.

The Canadian trial will be conducted at the University Health Network hospital in Toronto, where complex neurosurgical procedures will be performed. The trial will concentrate on assessing the safety and initial capabilities of the implant for those with quadriplegia, a condition involving paralysis of all four limbs. The aim is to restore some level of independence for users by enabling them to control digital devices through thought alone.

This initiative parallels efforts by Neuralink in the United States, where two patients have already been implanted with the device under the Precise Robotically Implanted Brain-Computer Interface Study. The study’s goal is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of this technology in individuals with severe motor impairments. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the start of human trials in May 2023, leading to the first trial participant, Noland Arbaugh, receiving his implant in January 2024.

Neuralink reported that by August 2024, a second participant, referred to as “Alex,” had received his implant and had been making strides in using computer-aided design software and playing video games.

Since 2017, Neuralink has conducted tests on various animals, including monkeys, pigs, and sheep.

Appeals Court Upholds Judge’s Halt on Displaying Ten Commandments in Schools.

The federal Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals has rejected a motion by the State of Louisiana seeking to temporarily stay a lower court ruling that bars the display of the Ten Commandments in the state’s public schools. Earlier this year, Governor Jeff Landry (R-LA) signed into law legislation that requires the posting of the ethics code associated with Jewish and Christian religious beliefs in Louisiana schools beginning next year.

U.S. District Court Judge John deGravelles issued a preliminary injunction against the law earlier this month as litigation over the requirement and its constitutionality continues. The Fifth Circuit will hear arguments over the matter on January 23, which means the stay will remain in effect, delaying the state’s January 1 deadline to post the Ten Commandments.

In June of this year, Louisiana became the first U.S. state to mandate that the Ten Commandments be displayed in public school classrooms. The law includes any educational institution receiving state funds, from kindergartens to public universities.

“I’m going home to sign a bill that places the Ten Commandments in public classrooms,” Gov. Landry said this past summer during a fundraiser. Seemingly unphased by the prospect of litigation, he added: “And I can’t wait to be sued.” Hours later, Landry signed the Ten Commandments bill into law.

Reacting to the appellate court decision, Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill said her office will “continue to defend this clearly constitutional law.”

In issuing his stay earlier this month, District Court Judge deGravelles found the Louisiana law to be “overtly religious” and ruled it “unconstitutional on its face.” The State of Louisiana contends that the Ten Commandments are not purely religious texts but also have a long history of influence over U.S. legal codes.

REPORT: Pentagon Delayed National Guard Response on Jan. 6.

A House Republican-led investigation into the events surrounding the Capitol riots on January 6, 2021, is accusing Department of Defense (DOD) officials of delaying the deployment of the National Guard and subsequently covering it up. Representative Barry Loudermilk (R-GA), who is overseeing a review of the partisan investigation conducted by former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), has requested that the Department of Defense’s inspector general amend its November 2021 report on the matter.

In a letter, Loudermilk asserted that numerous discrepancies in the report indicate a possible partisan cover-up. Through an analysis of various documents and testimonies, Loudermilk’s Subcommittee on Oversight for the House Administration Committee concluded that the Pentagon was responsible for delays in deploying the National Guard. The subcommittee also alleges that the inspector general’s office omitted key testimonies critical of then-Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy for his lack of communication with the Guard.

Loudermilk revealed Trump’s order to have 10,000 troops ready on standby on the day of electoral certification. The Georgia Congressman asserts this decision was covered up during the official proceedings of the House Select Committee investigating the January 6 riots. Additionally, he notes that former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, at the time, expressed concerns about deploying troops due to the potential optics in the Capitol.

In March, Kash Patel, the former chief of staff at the DOD, affirmed Trump’s order to have National Guard soldiers at the ready. Patel added that senior Pentagon officials were in contact with and consulting with Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser’s office.

Loudermilk’s letter requests the inspector general ensure historical records accurately reflect these events.

The Biden-Harris government has moved to forgive approximately $4.7 billion in U.S. loans to Ukraine. During a press briefing on Wednesday, Miller indicated that this decision was aligned with legal provisions but noted that Congress retains the authority to reverse it.

This recent development is part of a broader pattern of financial and military support from the U.S. to Ukraine, with the government’s total expenditure nearing $60 billion. In April, Congress passed legislation that included $9.4 billion in loan forgiveness for Ukraine as part of a package allocating $61 billion for military resources and governmental operations.

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) introduced a motion to block further loan forgiveness.

As President Biden approaches the conclusion of his term, he stands accused of attempting to prolong the conflict at almost any cost. Biden has boosted financial and military aid, positioning the U.S. as the single most critical ally in the war.

President-elect Donald Trump has indicated plans to pursue a peace agreement soon after taking office on January 20. This stands in contrast to recent actions from the departing government, which include approving missile strikes within Russia and the deployment of anti-personnel landmines in Ukraine. These moves have led to heightened tensions and threats of retaliation from Russia.

WEIRD: AOC Really Wants Dudes in Her Bathroom.

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is publicly defending Delaware Democrat Sarah McBride, the first openly transgender person elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, while criticizing a GOP-backed effort to restrict bathroom use in Congress and on federal property to the users corresponding biological sex.

The proposal, introduced by Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), aims to prohibit transgenders from using restrooms that do not align with their biological sex on federal property. Ocasio-Cortez condemned the proposed restrictions in an interview on Wednesday.

The New York Democrat argued that the measures lack a practical means of enforcement and would create situations where women and girls could face invasive scrutiny over their gender identity. She accused Mace and her Republican colleagues of using the issue to fundraise rather than protect individuals, urging House members to reject the measure.

“It’s disgusting and everybody, no matter how you feel on this issue, should reject it completely,” she said. “What are they doing? They’re doing this so that Nancy Mace can make a buck and send a text and fundraise off of an email.”

“They’re not doing this to protect people; they’re endangering women, they’re endangering girls of all kinds, and everybody should reject it,” Ocasio-Cortez concluded.


Mace dismissed Ocasio-Cortez’s comments, rejecting the spurious claims that the proposal endangers women.

Meanwhile, Speaker Mike Johnson has announced single-sex facilities in House office buildings and the Capitol will be restricted to those of the appropriate biological sex. McBride says he will abide by this determination.

Zelensky Admits He Cannot Take Crimea Back.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky now openly acknowledges that reclaiming Crimea by military means is not feasible, marking a shift in Ukraine’s strategy. In an interview with U.S. media, Zelensky stated that Ukraine could not bear the human cost of attempting to take back Crimea through force, stressing the need for diplomatic approaches to restore Ukrainian sovereignty over the region.

Zelensky reiterated Ukraine’s legal stance, refusing to recognize any occupied territory, including Crimea, as Russian. Crimea, which is majority Russian by population, has been under Russian control since 2014, following a referendum that Ukraine and much of the international community do not recognize as valid.

“We cannot spend dozens of thousands of our people so that they perish for the sake of Crimea coming back,” Zelensky said, expressing his hope that the peninsula can be “brought back diplomatically.”

Discussing future U.S. support for the Ukrainian military, Zelensky admitted that he does not believe the war with Russia can be won without American aid: “If they will cut, I think we will lose,” he said.

“Of course, anyway, we will stay and we will fight. We have production, but it’s not enough to prevail. And I think it is not enough to survive,” he added.

The group, comprising men, women, and children, has moved through Tapachula, a city near the Mexico-Guatemala border where many migrants remain without permission to proceed further.

The caravan’s exact crossing point into the U.S. remains unspecified. Matamoros, close to Brownsville, Texas, represents the southernmost U.S. border crossing. To reach this point, an adult migrant traveling on foot would require approximately 16 days of continuous walking. Participants in the caravan believe that traveling in large groups provides safety and complicates detainment by immigration authorities.

Some migrants rely on obtaining rides to ease their passage, while others undertake the journey on foot under challenging conditions. Additionally, it promotes positive language like “enjoy” over “sacrifice” when discussing the future impacts of climate actions. The coalition emphasizes localized language, suggesting activists talk about pollution rather than the global scope of climate change.

Potential Energy draws on substantial financial backing, including $17.5 million from the Windward Fund between 2021 and 2022. By 2023, this support increased by an additional $13 million. The group also reportedly received nearly $2 million for consulting services from the Windward Fund in 2020 and 2021.

In collaboration with Climate Power and the League of Conservation Voters, Potential Energy led a significant advertising campaign, spending over $10 million to urge action on climate policy by Joe Biden and Congress. This initiative coincided with the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act in 2022, which committed funds to climate change efforts. That year, the coalition reported $38.6 million in revenue, marking substantial growth from 2021.

Climate change extremists have a history of alienating the regular public, with groups like Just Stop Oil being very unpopular in the United Kingdom for their blocking of roads and attacks on classical art and monuments. In Germany, a group called “Last Generation” was declared a criminal organization last year for engaging in similar actions.
