Trump’s Troop Deployments Have Transformed Border Security: Patrol Chief.

The chief of San Diego’s Border Patrol has acknowledged that President Donald J. Trump’s move to send the military to support border control efforts has been a “force multiplier” and is already showing results. Jeffrey Stalnaker, acting Chief Patrol Agent for the San Diego Sector, noted that military personnel presence had enhanced the work of border agents.

The operation sees Army, Marines, and Navy service members supporting U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents. Recent CBP data indicates that border apprehensions in February reached levels not seen since 2000, with 30,000 encounters recorded. This contrasts sharply with the over 130,000 encounters reported in the same month in 2023 and 2024.

Last month, Border Patrol Chief Mike Banks reported that illegal crossings had dropped as much as 94 percent under the current Trump administration.

Stalnaker attributes these developments to the military presence, which allows for swift agent deployment to law enforcement events. Specifically, Task Force Sapper, comprising nearly 500 Marines, has focused on fortifying existing barriers with additional protection, including strategically placing razor wire.

The Marines, supported by companies of Army engineers and military police from Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, are engaged in surveillance and detection along stretches of the border. While not directly intervening in crossings, these troops serve as a vital observational network, freeing CBP agents to prioritize response and apprehension efforts.

United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has allocated close to $70 million to Granite Construction Co. to expand the southern border wall, marking the first such contract during President Donald J. Trump‘s second term. The plan involves constructing an additional seven miles of the barrier along the U.S.-Mexico border in Hidalgo County, Texas. This development was announced Saturday by CBP, which emphasized the aim of addressing “critical openings” in the wall, not fully completed during Trump’s first term.

The focus of the new construction is a section of the Rio Grande Valley, identified as a frequent entry point for illegal immigrant crossings and a corridor for smuggling activities, including drugs and human trafficking. CBP has articulated the importance of this expansion for aiding the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) efforts to curb illegal activities at the border.

Joe Biden had halted funding for the border wall, a move now reversed with this latest contract. Kristi Noem, Trump’s Homeland Security Secretary, confirmed that construction commenced on Sunday. In a video posted to social media while in Arizona, Noem stated, “Everybody, I’m here in Arizona, and right at this spot you can see where the border wall ends.” She further announced the commencement of “seven new miles of construction,” emphasizing a commitment to “make America safe again.”

Granite Construction Co., based in California, has engaged in numerous government projects in the past.

Texas AG Paxton Arrests Abortionist.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has arrested Maria Margarita Rojas, a 48-year-old midwife who goes by “Dr. Maria,” for “providing illegal abortions and illegally operating a network of clinics” in Houston. She faces second-degree felony charges of illegal performance of an abortion and practicing medicine without a license.

In a statement noting that “Texas law holds abortion providers—not patients—criminally responsible for unlawful procedures,” AG Paxton emphasized that, in addition to criminal charges, abortionists are also subject to “civil penalties of at least $100,000 per violation” under the Texas Human Life Protection Act of 2021.

Rojas is alleged to have presided over the Clinica Waller Latinoamericana, Clinica Latinoamericana Telge, and Latinoamericana Medical Clinic, where she personally aborted babies and directed “unlawfully employed unlicensed individuals who falsely presented themselves as licensed medical professionals” to provide “treatment” to mothers-to-be.

“In Texas, life is sacred. I will always do everything in my power to protect the unborn, defend our state’s pro-life laws, and work to ensure that unlicensed individuals endangering the lives of women by performing illegal abortions are fully prosecuted,” said Paxton, warning: “Texas law protecting life is clear, and we will hold those who violate it accountable.”

Farage’s Reform Party Boosted by DOZENS of New Defections.

Brexit leader Nigel Farage has announced that 29 councilors have defected to his Reform Party ahead of the British local elections. These councilors have come from a range of parties, including the formerly governing Conservatives, the ruling Labour Party, the Liberal Democrats, and several independent groups. Farage revealed these changes during a press conference as Reform prepares for the council elections in May.

Zia Yusuf, the party chairman, confirmed that Reform plans to field candidates in all 1,641 seats set to be contested on May 1. Farage reflected on party challenges in recent weeks, indicating they had experienced “a little bit of turbulence.” One of the party’s five Members of Parliament (MPs), Rupert Lowe, had been suspended after being accused of bullying and threats of violence, which Lowe denied, instead claiming he was targeted for challenging Farage.

Farage emphasized the importance of thoroughly investigating the complaints, stating the party awaits a report from an independent King’s Counsel (KC) lawyer to ascertain the truth.

Despite these internal issues, the defections coupled with strong poll results suggest Reform’s momentum has not been significantly slowed. Polling data also indicates a majority of British electoral districts would prefer Farage as Prime Minister over Labour incumbent Sir Keir Starmer.

The far-left Daily Beast website has been caught twisting a chivalrous story about President Donald J. Trump to drive reader traffic and smear the American First leader along with Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL). A story published on Monday by Erkki Forster, a breaking news intern with the Daily Beast, is emblazoned with the headline: ‘”Don’t Tell Melania’: Trump Once Offered Rising MAGA Star His Bed”—suggesting a lurid encounter between President Trump and Rep. Luna. However, the actual details, posted by the Republican Congresswoman in response, show a very different story.

“I seldom respond to nasty headlines because I don’t like giving trash credibility, however, being that there is allegedly a book coming out with me named and attacking [the President], his marriage, our first lady, and frankly implying something distasteful about me, I am responding,” Rep. Luna wrote on X (formerly Twitter). She stated: “I was very pregnant and at the time experiencing pre-eclampsia symptoms, but was not diagnosed. As soon as [Donald Trump] boarded the plane, being the gentleman and good person that he is, said if I did not feel well, I could use the back room.”

‘A SHIT HIT PIECE.’

Rep. Luna continued: “He did this in a respectful way and in front of my husband, of which we thanked him. He also assured me that they had a medical team on board in case anything happened and they were aware of how pregnant I was.”

“This was the most compassionate thing that could’ve been done at the time. I find it disgusting that the author fails to recognize that. A few weeks later, I was induced because I did have pre-eclampsia,” she added.

Addressing the manipulated context—sourced from a forthcoming book by Axios‘ Alex Isenstadt—the Florida Congresswoman stated: “The author of this book never reached out to me for comment. Which means that this book is likely going to be a shit hit piece. If people in [President Trump’s] orbit are talking to this author, they need to be cut off immediately. This is gross. ”

Top Chinese Military Official Close to Xi Reportedly Arrested.

China’s top military official and second in command of the country’s powerful Central Military Commission (CMC) appears to have been detained by the communist government. He Weidong, who serves as the vice chairman of the CMC—second only to President Xi Jinping—has reportedly been arrested, which suggests a significant shakeup of leadership in the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) could be underway.

He Weidong’s career progression is thought to have been influenced by his connection to Xi during the Chinese president’s time as governor of Fujian, where He served in and became associated with the so-called Fujian clique. Previously, he held the position of head of the military’s Eastern Theater Command, a role involving oversight of operations related to Taiwan.

Zhao Lanjian, an independent journalist known for investigative reporting regarding government actions in the notoriously opaque communist state, claims that two independent sources have verified He’s alleged arrest. Zhao also mentions that He’s secretary is under investigation, suggesting a possibility of leaked classified information. Additionally, Zhao Keshi, former head of the General Logistics Department, is reportedly in custody. The General Logistics Department, responsible for military logistics, was restructured in 2016.

If these reports hold true, they might intensify discussions about Xi Jinping’s influence over the military and raise questions about potential internal conflicts in the PLA. In late 2024, another CMC member, Miao Hua, was investigated for “serious violations of discipline,” a term often linked to corruption cases.

The move—if confirmed—could suggest significant changes in China’s policy toward the island of Taiwan. Xi has repeatedly insisted that military action against the island is imminent and that the communist state will not allow Taiwan to remain independent.

Conor McGregor Raises Ireland Being ‘Overrun’ by Illegals at White House.

Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor visited the White House on St. Patrick’s Day. McGregor was set to meet President Donald J. Trump, who often attends UFC events and counts UFC president Dana White as a close friend and supporter.

At a press conference where White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt introduced him, he said the “illegal immigration racket” is ravaging Ireland, with “rural towns in Ireland that have been overrun in one swoop” and the native Irish reduced to a minority.

“What is going on in Ireland is a travesty,” the mixed martial arts star said, warning Irish Americans must be made aware of what is happening to their ancestral homeland because there “will be no place to come home and visit” if the country’s issues are not addressed. Leavitt confirmed that McGregor would engage with U.S. officials throughout the day.

McGregor has previously expressed a desire to run for President of Ireland this October, pledging to bring the “charlatans” in the European Union member’s legislature to heel. However, the Irish presidency is relatively weak, performing largely ceremonial functions while the Prime Minister, or Taoiseach, draws his mandate from the legislature and runs the government.

The Irish political class also tightly controls who is allowed to run for President, and McGregor would need the support of a minimum number of legislators or local government bodies to make the ballot.

Schumer’s NYC Book Launch Postponed Due to ‘Security Concerns’ After Jewish Activists Planned Protest.

A book launch for Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) on Tuesday in Manhattan, New York, has been postponed due to “security concerns.” Jewish activists had planned to protest the Democrat at the release of his new book Antisemitism in America: A Warning outside a cultural center on the Upper East Side, alleging he has not upheld promises made to Jewish leaders concerning the proposed Antisemitism Awareness Act.

The Antisemitism Awareness Act seeks to mandate the U.S. Department of Education to adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism. This definition includes drawing parallels between Israeli policies and Nazi policies or labeling Israel as a racist project, among other stipulations.

However, congressional disagreements have hindered the bill’s progress, with Schumer and House Speaker Mike Johnson differing on how to introduce the bill to Congress.

The IHRA definition has also received some criticism from conservatives who believe it could “make parts of the Bible illegal” by branding references to the Jewish authorities’ role in the execution of Jesus Christ antisemitic.

In addition, Schumer is facing pushback for his stance on Mahmoud Khalil, an anti-Israel activist subject to deportation proceedings under the Trump administration. Khalil, a former student at Columbia University, was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after organizing “pro-Hamas” protests. Schumer argues that deporting the graduate could violate the First Amendment.

It was later revealed that Khalil had ties to the British government and British government security clearance.

A New CNN Poll Slaps Democrats in the Face.

Recent survey data shows the Democratic Party‘s favorability plummeting to historic lows. According to the survey conducted by SSRS on behalf of CNN, the Democratic Party’s favorability stands at 29 percent, its lowest point since CNN began tracking this data in 1992.

Notably, Democrat favorability has fallen 20 percentage points from the end of President Donald J. Trump’s first term in early 2021. In contrast, the Republican Party’s favorability is at 36 percent, buoyed by strong support within its base. A substantial 79 percent of Republicans and GOP-leaning independents view their party favorably. Meanwhile, only 63 percent of Democrats and those leaning toward the party hold a favorable view, a significant decline from 81 percent in January 2021.

The poll also highlighted disaffection among Democratic voters, exacerbated by the lack of a unified message or clear leadership following their electoral defeat last year. Adding to the Democrats’ challenges, recent Senate actions have fueled controversy within Democratic ranks. Ten Democratic senators supported a Trump-backed temporary funding bill, averting a government shutdown, but facing backlash from party members who saw blocking the legislation as a strategic opportunity against the administration and Republicans.

A February poll by Quinnipiac echoes the SSRS findings, showing a record-low approval for Democrats in Congress at 21 percent. This represents a stark contrast to the higher approval ratings seen earlier in Democrat former President Joe Biden‘s term.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent ripped into former Vice President Mike Pence during a recent interview. While outlining President Donald J. Trump’s tariff plan, Bessent hit back at Pence’s criticisms of using the trade levies.

Bessent detailed President Trump’s tariff strategy, aiming to motivate businesses to relocate manufacturing to the United States: “Mike Pence came out and said, ‘Secretary Bessent doesn’t know what he’s talking about.’ I would tell the former vice president that ‘let them eat flat screens’ is not an economic policy,’” Bessent said.

“People want to have good jobs, they want to own a home, they want to have dignity, they want to enjoy work, they want their communities to be sound, and we want affordability, but bringing in a bunch of baubles and trinkets to satisfy people who are displaced isn’t the American dream,” he insisted.

Conducted at the Treasury Department, the interview delved into the reasons behind Trump’s tariffs. Bessent compared Trump’s tactics to “tough love,” crediting them for prompting Germany to increase its military spending, for instance.
