McDonald’s has embraced LGBT “pride” in its latest ad campaign featuring an interracial gay couple bickering over food alongside the subheading “couple goals.” The campaign was posted on X (formerly Twitter) with the description, “if that’s not love idk [I don’t know] what is,” and shows two middle-aged men fighting over fries and play fighting.
Social media observers noted how the commercial is similar to an old meme which parodies corporates for shoehorning homosexuality into their otherwise unrelated businesses:

The campaign has already flopped, with just 44 reposts and under 850 likes, despite receiving over 3.6 million views. Comments, too, were quick to criticize the post, with one reading, “It seems like gayness has seeped into every type of advertisement. #LGBT make up 7% of the population….but they still try and jam it in everyone’s face. Buy @Whataburger.”
Another response simply read: “Gross.”
McDonald’s is not alone in pushing the LGBT agenda; Chipotle began promoting its commitment to gay pride earlier this year after it launched ‘The Pride Edit’ featuring rainbow-colored T-shirts and other LGBT merchandise.

An estimated 121,000 patients died while waiting for National Health Service (NHS) treatment in England last year, according to figures obtained by the Labour Party through freedom of information requests. The party claims these record numbers indicate that people are spending their final months in agony while on waitlists for care. Labour extrapolated data from 35 NHS trusts to estimate a total of 120,695 deaths occurred across 138 trusts in the country.
Last year, a similar extrapolation suggested 117,000 patients died waiting for treatment from Britain’s socialized healthcare provider, ludicrously dubbed the “envy of the world,” though millions of Britons are now hurriedlyturning to private care.
NHS England data shows 7.6 million people waiting for treatment at the end of June 2023, with strikes over pay disputes in the health service contributing to the backlog.

Grant Shapps MP has been appointed as the new United Kingdom Secretary of State for Defence, despite military officials warning he has neither experience in, nor knowledge about the subject and will require “quite some time to get up to speed.”
Shapps – an original “Tory modernizer” from the days of David Cameron, circa 2010, is now a fierce supporter of Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. Shapps has served in a number of Cabinet positions, including Transport Secretary, Home Secretary, and Housing Minister, and was appointed Defence Secretary following the resignation of Ben Wallace, who served in the British Army and was touted to replace Jens Stoltenberg as the Secretary General of NATO earlier this year.
While working as a Conservative Member of Parliament, Shapps operated a clandestine business selling dodgy computer software that increased a website’s advertisement revenue by “breaching Google’s code of practice”. At the time, he used pseudonyms such as Michael Green, Corinne Stockheath, and Sebastian Fox.
He initially denied the claims for a number of years and even threatened litigation against those who reported on it. Eventually, he admitted he was essentially a confidence trickster. This is now Britain’s Defence Secretary, in charge of the fifth strongest military in the world.

Storm damage from Hurricane Idalia is expected to place increased strain on Florida insurers, deepening the state’s insurance crisis, where already more than two dozen firms have decided to stop providing homeowners policies in the state, including major players like Farmers. The state’s residents, meanwhile, face skyrocketing premiums – impacting not just household budgets, but the state housing market too.
Insurers argue Florida’s exposure to hurricanes has made the state too risky to do business in. The rapidly rising cost of reinsurance – a form of insurance for insurers that offsets their own financial risk in issuing coverage – has made operations in Florida tricky.
In December 2022, lawmakers in Tallahassee held a three-day special legislative session aimed at alleviating the state’s insurance crisis, worsened by an estimated $65 billion in insurance losses caused by Hurricane Ian which ravaged Florida. The legislature enacted major changes to Florida law, including earmarking $1 billion in taxpayer cash for industry reinsurance and restricting lawsuits against insurers. The new rules also ended state-controlled Citizens Property Insurance Corp coverage for an estimated 1.1 million Floridians in the hope that increased private sector competition would drive down insurance rates.
While the efforts appear to have failed in preventing the continued flight of insurers from state, their 2022 legislative changes almost certainly ended up increasing the cost of insurance premiums for homeowners. This year, Floridians faced homeowners insurance rates that are four times the national average. State Senator John Grant, chairman of the Florida Senate Insurance Committee, called for another special legislative session to address the crisis in early August.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who has spent much of the summer outside Florida in his pursuit of the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, said he feels the 2022 special session didn’t go far enough in reforming the Florida insurance industry. On Monday , while discussing state preparations for Hurricane Idalia, DeSantis stated, “I’ve always wanted to do more than the Legislature wanted to do. We got the Legislature to do a lot more this year than we’ve ever had. So, whatever is down the pike that could be beneficial to the market, I’m all ears for it.”

Former President Donald Trump says he would have “no choice” but to prosecute his political opponents if he retakes the White House in 2024, “…because they’re doing it to us,” adding that his respect for the office of the president may have caused him to underestimate Biden’s role in the weaponized partisan prosecutions against him.
“I never hit Biden as hard as I could have. And then I heard he was trying to indict me and it was him that was doing it,” Trump said in an interview with leading 2016 Never Trump activist Glenn Beck.
Retribution against America’s enemies, both foreign and domestic, has become a central theme for Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign. In a speech to thousands of conservative activists earlier this year, the former President pledged to end the influence of the Deep State in Washington, D.C, stating:
If you put me back in White House, their reign is over. In 2016, I declared, ‘I am your voice.’ Today I add, I am your warrior. I am your justice. And for those who have been wronged and betrayed, I am your retribution.
The Trump campaign’s Agenda47 policy platform includes detailed plans on how President Trump would tackle rogue federal employees and the Deep State. On day one, the former President says he would re-issue his 2020 “Schedule F” executive order that would allow him to more easily fire “rogue bureaucrats” working in sensitive policy areas. Trump also pledged that his administration would establish a “…Truth and Reconciliation Commission to declassify and publish all documents on Deep State spying, censorship, and abuses of power,” and relocate 100,000 federal government jobs away from Washington, D.C.
Reforming the Department of Justice (DOJ) would be a priority if Trump wins the 2024 presidential election. Plans are already underway to establish a new DOJ office dedicated to ensuring election integrity. It is also expected that the Trump White House pursue the appointment of several DOJ special counsels to investigate President Joe Biden and his son Hunter’s business dealings, as well as President Biden’s role in DOJ special prosecutor Jack Smith’s witch-hunt against Trump.

The mRNA COVID-19 vaccines can ‘reprogram’ children’s immune systems for up to six months after vaccination, impacting the body’s ability to counteract other pathogens, according to a new study published in the renowned Frontiers in Immunology.
The study, to which a total of ten academics and professors contributed, took samples of a blood stimulation assay from 29 children aged between five and 11, which were taken 28 days after the second vaccine and then again six months later.
The researchers found that the mRNA vaccines altered cytokine (small proteins controlling the growth and activity of immune and blood cells) responses in the body, “particularly one month after vaccination.”
“Our results add to the evolving evidence that SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccination reprograms both adaptive and innate immune responses,” the researchers claim upon publication of the results.
The results emphasize “the need for further research and consideration of heterologous effects in vaccination policies given their broad public health implications,” the researchers added.

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson revealed in a recent interview that, “In 2008 it became really clear that Barack Obama had been having sex with men and smoking crack. Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orban has compared Joe Biden weaponizing the Department of Justice (DOJ) against Donald Trump to the actions of Cold War era communist regimes, which he experienced first-hand as a young dissident.
Orban described the clash between the Biden regime and the former president as a “kind of civilian war” in comments to Tucker Carlson, who had asked him if he had ever considered simply indicting his political opponents to ease his reelection.
“[W]e can beat each other, we can argue against each other, but to do what’s going on now in some countries, and even in your country… to use the justice system against political opponents, in Hungary I think it’s impossible to imagine,” Orban said.
“You know, that was done by the communists. It’s a very communist methodology to do it that,” he warned.
“So in Hungary… OK, we disagree on many things: ideology, values, vision of the future, even practises of politics, but we belong to the same nation,” he explained. “You can’t say ‘I will kill you,’ or ‘I will send you to prison’ – if you follow that track, no chance to unify the nation.”

A conservative watchdog group, the American Accountability Foundation (AAF), has revealed that four medical malpractice cases have been filed against Dr. Monica Bertagnolli, President Biden’s nominee for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) director. AAF researchers argue that these cases raise concerns about Bertagnolli’s medical abilities, supervisory skills, and temperament. One case from 1999 in New York resulted in a finding of liability against Bertagnolli for a botched hernia surgery, with damages amounting to nearly $500,000. Another ongoing lawsuit in Massachusetts involves the wrongful death of a 34-year-old mother. Bertagnolli has not yet commented on the allegations.
If confirmed by the Senate, Bertagnolli would be just the second woman to lead the NIH and has been praised by the White House for her expertise as a surgical oncologist, cancer researcher, educator, and physician-leader. However, the AAF has identified these medical malpractice lawsuits as important factors that should be examined before her Senate confirmation hearings take place. The cases involve allegations of incompetence, negligence, and deviations from standard medical practice. The AAF argues that these lawsuits raise questions about Bertagnolli’s fitness to lead the NIH.
In addition to the 1999 New York case and the ongoing Massachusetts lawsuit, two other lawsuits have been filed against Bertagnolli related to medical malpractice. In one case, Bertagnolli was accused of failing to diagnose the plaintiff’s colon cancer. The other case involved allegations of negligent surgery resulting in severe and permanent injuries. Both cases were either discontinued or dismissed, potentially indicating settlements. The AAF argues that these cases, along with the previous ones, highlight a pattern of troubling allegations against Bertagnolli and question her competence as a doctor.

One of the claims made by the anonymous “MaxTwain24” account is that Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) sent her staff to a press conference with Governor DeSantis addressing the emergency response to Hurricane Idalia – instead of appearing herself – because of the fictitious directive from former President Trump. In reality, Rep. Luna was unable to attend in person because she is recovering after having given birth several days prior to the press conference.
4) Rep. Luna sent staffers to a briefing so as not to be seen or photographed herself in accordance with the request from the Trump campaign…
Several high profile trolls – who appear to regularly communicate with DeSantis campaign staffers Christina Pushaw and Bryan Griffin – amplified the demonstrably false accusations made by the MaxTwain24 account including oddball Chris Nelson, the troll account CryptidPolitics, and grifter and con-artist Bill Mitchell.

I looked at their X pages and this appears to be accurate.
The Florida Congressional delegation targeted by the DeSantis campaign trolls for not posting about Hurricane Idalia had, in reality, addressed the storm on multiple occasions prior to the MaxTwain24 posts.
Rep. Luna had dedicated most of August 28th, a full day prior to the accusations, to keeping her constituents informed about the State of Florida’s emergency response. Cory Mills also began posting about the storm and relevant emergency information on August 28th. Rep. Greg Steube’s earliest post was at mid-day on August 27th. Rep. Matt Gaetz has retweeted emergency information from Gov. DeSantis several times on both his personal X account and his Congressional office X account.
All of these Members of Congress are backing Donald Trump for the Republican presidential nomination and have been targted by pro-DeSantis trolls following the MaxTwain24 posts smearing.
The DeSantis campaign trolls didn’t just stop with lying about Members of Congress. Nelson, specifically, has taken to targeting conservative activists on X as well, including The National Pulse editor-in-chief Raheem Kassam, claiming that these individuals have also been complicit in a ‘conspiracy’ to ignore Hurricane Idalia. The National Pulse published its first story on the storm on August 28th, over 24 hours prior to Nelson’s post.
Every one of these scumbags, many of whom live in Florida due to Governor Ron DeSantis’s Covid policies, have not mentioned a word about #HurricaneIdalia for political reasons.
Nelson, for his part, was ratioed in his replies. But his DeSantis-campaign handler, Christina Pushaw, spent the day doing yoga in Miami instead of aiding with the hurricane communications effort.
