Britain Re-Ups Plans to Surveil Millions of Citizens.

The British government is ‘expanding and developing’ its plans to surveil the online activities – including the browsing histories – of millions.

Under the new program, internet connection records (ICRs) can be collected against anyone and that information stored for up to 12 months by internet and phone providers if the government demands.

ICRs “contain information on all sites visited or apps accessed by a user, as well as details of the device used and the time and date of the visit.”

According to Wired, official documents and reports over the past year have judged the initial testing phases of the program a success, and authorities are now considering a national rollout.

Earlier this year, a Home Office review on the operation of the Investigatory Powers Act 2016 reported that UK’s National Crime Agency found a “significant operational benefit” by collecting ICRs as they assisted in tracking a number of people illegally entering sites with child pornography.

“The possible expansion of ICR collection in the UK comes as governments and law enforcement agencies globally try to gain access to increasing amounts of data, particularly as technology advances.”

The UK government was provided with these powers by the Investigative Powers Act (2016), also known as the “Snoopers’ Charter,” which gave public authorities access to ICRs for the first time.

Rep. Luna Files $16M Fine & Censure Motion Against Adam Schiff.

Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) has filed a motion to censure, condemn, and even fine her colleague Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) for his role in peddling the debunked Russia collusion hoax.

Tweeting on Tuesday afternoon, Rep. Luna said: “I just filed a privileged resolution, H. Res. 437, to censure, condemn, & fine Rep. Adam Schiff $16 million (1/2 the cost of Russia investigation) for his egregious abuse of trust. I, with my GOP colleagues, look forward to an imminent vote to hold this feckless man accountable.”

The text of the motion (in full, below) establishes that Rep. Schiff abused his position to lend credence to the Steele dossier, falsely prompted a FISA warrant application, encouraged surveillance of Americans, and cost the taxpayer in excess of $32 million on the investigations that followed.

The Congressional Research Services notes that fining a member has precedent in the House of Representatives, with Deschler’s Precedents stating that under the constitutional authority of the House at Article I, Section 5, clause 2: “A fine may be levied by the House against a Member pursuant to its constitutional authority to punish its Members.”

It goes on to establish that the ability has been backed by the Supreme Court (Kilbourn v. Thompson) and precedents “appear to involve the repayment or restitution of funds misused or wrongfully received, as opposed to fines merely or strictly for ‘punishment’.”

Ethics Committee rules state that the House “sets forth general guidelines and does not limit the authority of the Committee to recommend other sanctions.”

‘New Oligarchs Will Appear’: Ukraine Politicians Use Russia War to ‘Plunder Rivals’.

Ukrainian officials have been using the war with Russia as a smokescreen by which to enrich themselves by “extorting, plundering and weakening commercial rivals” to create a new political elite, reports POLITICO.

Julia Kiryanova, CEO of Smart Holding – one of Ukraine’s largest investment conglomerates – told POLITICO the company had up to $96 million in assets, the deeds to 40 companies, and 30 natural gas wells seized by Ukraine’s security services. The raids were conducted on hazy security concerns, they claim.

And Smart Holding was not alone. Parimatch, an international sports betting company, was sanctioned in March this year without any “formal communication [or] explanation,” despite emphasizing its Ukrainian ownership and donating over $40 million in humanitarian aid related to the war.

The Ukrainian government’s aim, according to Kiryanova, is to strip the wealth of the “old elite” to give to a new one. “New oligarchs will appear soon,” she added, “nobody’s safe.”

“When the country and people need unity the most, some of the very powerful are using the cloud of war to rape businesses,” said another corporate executive to POLITICO.

Ukrainian corruption concerns go beyond the seizure of private company assets. Seymour Hersch recently reported a grand scheme that saw Ukraine embezzling more than $400 million of U.S. taxpayers’ funds. Last year, Germany even delayed the distribution of financial aid due to corruption concerns.

Boris Johnson Flown to USA by Arms Industry Group to Lobby Republicans for More War.

Former Prime Minister and pseudo-Brexiteer Boris Johnson has been deployed to Texas by his war lobby friends as part of a “mission” to push Republicans to support the Ukrainian war. Former Prime Minister Johnson left office having accelerated mass migration, increased taxes, and failed to deliver on Brexit.

Johnson – whose domestic legacy was political scandal, pandemic lockdowns, and mass migration – was flown to Dallas to dine with “leading conservative figures, including politicians, donors and captains of industry” by the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA).

CEPA – a non-government organization funded by BAE Systems, Lockheed Martin, NATO, and the U.S. State Department – wanted to “take his energetic, pro-conservative case for the war out of metropolitan D.C. and deep into Republican territory,” according to POLITICO.

“You are backing the right horse. Ukraine is going to win. They are going to defeat Putin,” said Johnson, despite robust claims to the contrary by European leaders who are still in charge of their countries, rather than performing as lobbyists for major corporations.

“I just urge you all to stick with it,” Johnson said in what POLITICO, which also attended the luncheon, described as a “grand, wood-paneled dining room in downtown Dallas”.

Dallas was only a “stopover” for Johnson, ahead of a Las Vegas fintech conference, “where he will be paid an expected six-figure sum for a scheduled speech.” He will appear alongside Mike Pompeo, Bill Barr, Karl Rove, and Gary Cohn this week at the Bellagio hotel.

DeSantis Ducks Campaign Launch Event, Will Announce on Twitter With Elon Musk.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is expected to launch his presidential bid on Twitter Spaces, alongside Elon Musk, after a series of awkward, in-person encounters along the campaign trail thus far.

DeSantis is expected to announce his run at 6pm EST on Twitter on Wednesday, while the Governor’s donors attend an elite, private retreat at the Four Seasons Hotel in Miami.

The news comes shortly after Musk announced Linda Yaccarino, a World Economic Forum executive, as Twitter’s new Chief Executive Officer. Yaccarino has made public her desire to see speech limited on social media, a fact that has upset Twitter users who believed Musk was turning the platform into a free speech hub.

The announcement alongside Musk will surely raise questions about the platform’s bias during the 2024 election cycle. A high number of newly created bot accounts have been pushing Ron DeSantis messaging for months, with observers noting they even tweet the same things.

One Trump advisor told the Pulse: “Announcing on Twitter is perfect for Ron DeSantis. This way he doesn’t have to interact with people and the media can’t ask him any questions.”

Apple Makes Multi-Billion Dollar, US-Chips Deal With Firm Trump Lured Over in 2017.

Apple and Broadcom have announced a multibillion-dollar agreement over 5G and wireless components to be made in Fort Collins, Colorado. The deal comes after former President Donald Trump negotiated the re-domiciling of Broadcom from Singapore to the United States in 2017, as well as convincing Apple themselves to invest in the years during, and since, his presidency.

“All of Apple’s products depend on technology engineered and built here in the United States, and we’ll continue to deepen our investments in the US. economy because we have an unshakable belief in America’s future,” Apple CEO Tim Cook said in a press release Tuesday.

In 2017, Broadcom’s CEO Hock Tan told lavished praise on Trump, telling reporters: “America is again the best place to lead a business with a global footprint. Thanks to you Mr. President, business conditions have steadily improved.” The company announced its intention to re-domicile in the United States shortly after.

Trump pledged in 2016 that he would “get Apple to build a big plant in the United States, or many big plants in the United States.” Cook soon announced $350 billion for new facilities creating 20,000 jobs, which later increased to $430 billion due to the economic growth of the Trump years.

Trump’s ‘2024 Strong Man Agenda’ Fuels D.C. Media Panic.

Legacy media outlets appear to be panicking as Donald Trump’s policy platform for 2024 comes into sharper focus, with it now being evident that the gloves will come off if he gets a second chance to “drain the swamp”.

In a brace of stories by former Bloomberg reporter Sophia Cai, corporate-owned news site Axios bemoaned Trump’s “new strong-man agenda” for 2024.

Cai, whose employer claims to be above pushing opinions on readers, complained that Trump’s “grievance-driven campaign” was “fueling a tear-it-all-down agenda” – and warned it could give the former president “control of virtually every facet of life in America.”

Some of the Agenda47 “strong man” policies she cited were:

  • Trump’s pledge to fire the “Radical Marxist Prosecutors Destroying America”.
  • Trump’s pledge to pass a law “prohibiting child sexual mutilation in all 50 states” and launch an investigation into whether “Big Pharma and the big hospital networks… have [d]eliberately covered up horrific long-term side-effects of ‘sex transitions’ to get rich at the expense of vulnerable patients.”
  • Trump’s pledge to repeal Biden’s “extremist agenda to destroy America’s suburbs” by pressuring them to construct “giant multi-family apartment complexes” in their midst – a policy designed to forcibly alter communities’ electoral and ethnic make-up, many suspect.
  • Trump’s pledge to introduce “baby bonuses” to support young parents, similar to those in conservative-led Hungary and Poland, to launch “a new baby boom” and obviate the alleged need for mass migration.
  • Trump’s pledge to “designate cartels as Foreign Terrorist Organizations” and use the military to “inflict maximum damage on cartel leadership and operations”.

Axios seemed particularly exercised about Trump’s desire “to give the president the authority to hire and fire federal workers at will” in order to “attack what he calls the ‘deep state.'”

Why it would be a problem for the people’s foremost elected representative be able to dispense with an entrenched bureaucracy of unelected officials thwarting voters’ wishes was left unclear.

New data released Tuesday shows Americans believe the media to be “truly the enemy of the people,” according to Rasmussen, who asked likely voters if they agreed with Trump’s 2019 tweet verbiage.

electric vehicle

Every Electric Vehicle Enriches Communist China.

President Biden’s policy requiring 67 percent of all new vehicles sold in the United States by 2032 to be electric vehicles (EVs) will only continue to benefit the Chinese monopoly over the market.

China has become the largest electric vehicle battery producer in the world by “figuring out how to make battery components efficiently and at lower costs,” explains the New York Times.

China is, moreover, the world leader in the manufacturing of EVs by some distance. By 2030, China will manufacture more than double the number of EVs than all other nations combined.

Most of the raw materials that support the batteries are refined by the Chinese Communist Party, such as lithium, manganese, cobalt, graphite, and nickel, compared to the United States, which has “little processing capacity” for raw materials.

The most important component in an EV is the cathode – a battery’s positive terminal which is responsible for costs and range – and yet the United States manufactures one percent of them.

To meet Biden’s strategic goals, therefore, the United States must depend more on the Chinese for its EV supply.

As Scott Kennedy argues, senior advisor at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), “[t]here is no way anybody is going to become successful in electric vehicles without having some type of cooperation with China, either directly or indirectly.”
