French Globalists Seek to Jail Populist Le Pen AND Ban Her From Office.

Prosecutors in Emmanuel Macron’s France want to put populist leader Marine Le Pen on trial for allegedly misusing European Union (EU) funds, with the potential for a million-euro ($1.06M) fine, a 10-year ban on running for office, and 10 years behind bars if she is convicted.

The strategy of attempting to jail a leading opposition candidate is similar to that being explored in the United States with the sham persecution of former President and White House favorite Donald J. Trump.

The prosecutors claim EU funds allocated to Le assistants while she was an elected Member of the European Parliament (MEP) went to individuals who were members of her Front National party, now rebranded National Rally, allegedly violating rules against assistant funding being used for party political purposes.

“We dispute this position which seems to be an erroneous understanding of the work of opposition lawmakers and their assistants, which is above all a political one,” National Rally says of the charges.

Le Pen, 55, ran against President Macron in both 2017 and 2022, narrowing the gap between them from 66 va 34 percent to to 59-41 percent. A poll released earlier this year suggested she would now beat the increasingly unpopular globalist by 55-45 percent.

Le Pen will not get the chance to run against whoever replaces Macron as globalism’s chosen representative in France if the prosecutors have their way.

It is now up to judges to decide whether or not a prosecution will be allowed to proceed.

Democrat Sen. Bob Menendez Acted As Foreign Agent, Indicted By Fed. Grand Jury.

Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ) has been indicted by a federal grand jury in the Southern District of New York over allegations of public corruption involving attempts to influence a federal prosecution, as well as participating in a foreign influence operation. Federal prosectors argue Menendez worked to disrupt the prosecution of long-time donor and associate Jose Uribe and essentially acted as an unregistered foreign agent for Arab Republic of Egypt.

Menendez and his wife Nadine received payments in cash, gold bars, and a luxury vehicle for their efforts on behalf of Uribe and the Egyptian government. The scheme to ensure military aid for Egypt ran through Menendez’s wife and Wael “Will” Hana, an Egyptian-American businessman.

During a June 2022 raid on the Menendez New Jersey residence, federal agents found over $480,000 in cash connected to the corruptions schemes. In addition, bars of gold and a Mercedes Benz were also seized in connection to the case. Much of the cash was hidden in articles of clothing owned by the Menendez’s, including several articles with Sen. Menendez’s name emblazoned on the front. The indictment also reveals Sen. Menendez googled “how much is one kilo of gold worth” after returning from a trip to Egypt.

The most serious allegations Menendez faces involve actions he took on behalf of Egypt and its military. The indictment alleges Menendez, through his position on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, was able to obtain sensitive information about U.S. embassy staff in Cairo and subsequently passed it on to members of the Egyptian government. Additionally, once Sen. Menendez was able to secure passage of military sales and financing to Egypt, he – through his wife Nadine – contacted Hana who notified the Egyptian government. An Eygptian government official responded to a text from Hana with a ‘thumbs up’ emoji.

Sen. Menendez faces three counts in total: Conspiracy to Commit bribery, Conspiracy to Commit Honest Services Fraud, and Conspiracy to Commit Extortion Under Color of Official Right.

UPDATE: Late this afternoon Senator Menendez announced he would be stepping down as chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, of which he has served as a member since 2008. Democrat Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced the move, stating: “Senator Menendez has rightly decided to step down temporarily from his position as Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee until the matter has been resolved.”

EXC: Trump Reacts to Murdoch’s Fox Exit – ‘They Put Everything Behind DeSanctimonious’.

PALM BEACH, Florida — President Donald J. Trump reacted to News Corp mogul Rupert Murdoch standing down from his role as CEO today, in a wide ranging, exclusive interview with The National Pulse set to air early next week.

Trump, who has recently been on the receiving end of Murdoch’s influence at Fox News, discussed the issue during a sit down interview at Mar-a-Lago, telling Editor-in-Chief Raheem Kassam, “I wish him luck,” before lauding the Fox hosts who he says have covered his campaign fairly, as well as using the opportunity to praise the late Roger Ailes.

On Murdoch’s hostility towards him, and the wider Fox News operation, Trump opined: “They pick their opponents – perhaps it’s the globalists – who knows why? He added: “There’s an overhang that you just feel, there’s something missing.”

“Roger Ailes was a great guy and a friend of mine,” Trump said, adding that he was “somebody I respected a lot,” who “did a fantastic job.”

Asked if he thought Murdoch’s stepping down was linked to the Australian’s failed efforts to defeat Trump in the 2024 GOP primary, Trump explained: “Well they put everything against DeSanctimonious, and he’s not a talented person. He’s just not a talented person.”

UPDATE: A few hours after this story was published, Trump posted on Truth Social: “Many people are saying that, ‘You forced Rupert Murdoch into retirement!’ I do not believe this is so, but while we’re at it, how about getting rid of “Democrat” Mitch McConnell, who gives the Radical Left Lunatics, together with his small band of automatic “yes” votes, EVERYTHING they want. There is ZERO Republican Leadership in the United States Senate. MAGA!!!”

1 in 3 Europeans Are Now Voting for Populist Parties.

Just under one-third of Europeans – 32 percent – have started voting for both left-wing and right-wing populist political parties over the past several years as trust in establishment parties has plummeted, according to a recent analysis conducted across 31 countries.

Right-wing populist parties in particular “have really broadened their voter base and are forging coalitions of voters with very different concerns,” argues Daphne Halikiopoulou, comparative political scientist at the University of York and a PopuList co-author.

Europe has witnessed electoral success for populists in countries across the continent, including Sweden, the Netherlands, France, Austria, Germany, Italy, Poland, Hungary, and Spain, with a number of those going to the national polls within the next 12 months.

The share of the vote for populist parties has skyrocketed in recent years, as only 20 percent of Europeans voted for anti-establishment parties in the early 2000s, with even fewer in the 1990s, at just 12 percent. The researchers highlight a number of current political trends as the contributing factors, such as mass uncontrolled immigration from the third world, climate change – all but accepted as sacrosanct by the political mainstream – and other “culture war” issues.

Despite some fluctuation in the vote share, “the underlying trend is the numbers keep rising,” argues Matthijs Rooduijn, a political scientist at the University of Amsterdam, who led the research.

“Mainstream parties are losing votes; anti-establishment parties are gaining,” Rooduijn added.

Recent polling similarly found that right-wing populist parties are also expected to make major gains in next year’s European elections.

shutdown

House Breaks for Weekend as Defense Bill Fails, Shutdown Looms.

The House of Representatives will be adjourned for the next four days after House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s attempt to pass a defense spending bill failed on Thursday. With Congress expected to return on Tuesday and only five days left to avoid a partial government shutdown, many in Washington now see one as inevitable.

McCarthy had expressed optimism earlier in the day about reaching a breakthrough on a stopgap spending measure, but a test vote on a $886 billion defense appropriations measure failed 216-212. Six Republicans joined with 210 Democrats to defeat the vote.

The Republican dissidents, led by Rep. Matt Gaetz, have been pushing for progress on separate appropriations bills before supporting any stopgap measure, and have been highly critical of McCarthy’s “pathetic” and “low energy” approach.

Former president Donald Trump has also weighed in, calling on Republicans to “defund all aspects of Crooked Joe Biden’s weaponized Government.”

House Democrats oppose the defense bill due to provisions including scrapping Critical Race Theory (CRT) training, abolishing the post of Chief Diversity Officer at the Defense Department, and banning drag shows at military sites.

The Senate, where the Democrats are in control, is yet to pass any appropriations bills, and disagrees with the House on top-line spending levels.

Top DeSantis, ‘Club for Growth’ Backers Are CCP App Investors Working to Prevent U.S. Ban.

Major backers of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s presidential campaign have also been working diligently on Capitol Hill to prevent the U.S. government from banning the Chinese-owned social media app TikTok – a suspected espionage tool. The neoliberal Club for Growth has become a leading voice in Washington, D.C. in opposing a ban or substantive restrictions. The Club for Growth’s opposition efforts appear to be financially fueled, in part, by billionaire Jeff Yass.

In 2012, Yass took a roughly 7 percent stake in ByteDance – TikTok’s Chinese parent company. Valued at $21 billion today, Yass’s ByteDance investment makes up a bulk of his $28 billion net worth. In order to protect the wealth he’s acquired, Yass has leaned heavily on The Club for Growth’s influence among Republican lawmakers. Since 2010, Yass has contributed $61 million the neoliberal advocacy group’s political action committee – just under a quarter of its budget over the same period.

Two of the Club for Growth’s biggest allies in Congress, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) and Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), have been outspoken critics of efforts to ban TikTok. Both lawmakers have also received contributions from Yass.

Yass’s effort to protect his Chinese investment extends to the 2024 presidential campaign, as well. The Club for Growth was an early backer of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. A committee supporting the Florida governor’s presidential bid has received nearly $3 million from Yass.  In late 2022, when most Republican governors moved to ban TikTok on state government devices, Gov. DeSantis demurred – only finally signing a government device ban in May of this year shortly before announcing his presidential bid. Douglas Leone, whose Sequoia Capital is another major investor TikTok investor, has contributed at least $2 million to the pro-DeSantis SuperPAC Never Back Down.

ByteDance and TikTok’s control by the Chinese Communist Party has been well documented. The social media app’s parent company ByteDance has received significant financial support from the state-owned China Internet Investment Fund. The company has several cooperation agreements with the Chinese Ministry of Public Security and least one ByteDance vice-president, Zhang Fuping, also serves as a committee secretary within the Chinese Communist Party.

DeSantis Slips Into FIFTH in New Hampshire Poll.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has slipped to fifth place in the New Hampshire primary according to a new poll. Former President Trump continues to dominate the Republican field in The Granite State, garnering just shy of 40 percent of the vote.

Ohio businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, who has spent the last two months campaigning heavily in New Hampshire, is in second place with 13 percent. Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley is in third with 12 percent, followed by Chris Christie with 11 percent. Gov. DeSantis has dropped 13 points since since the last CNN/University of New Hampshire survey and rounds out the top five candidates with just 10 percent.

The sinking poll numbers come as another blow to DeSantis’s presidential ambitions. Earlier this week, billionaire mega-donor Ken Griffin announced he would be sitting out the rest of the primary cycle despite being an early financial backer for the DeSantis campaign. Griffin blasted the Florida Governor’s political operation, stating: “It’s not clear to me what voter base he is intending to appeal to.”

On Monday, former President Trump announced that he has twice as many signed Iowa caucus pledge cards as the DeSantis campaign despite being outspent 5-to-1 in the state. The Iowa caucuses are considered a must win for Ron DeSantis, though the governor has consistently polled in a distant second to Trump.

The National Pulse previous reported that, speaking before of a packed and energized audience in Dubuque, Iowa today, Trump announced a “full Fentanyl blockade” of U.S territorial waters. The former President added that, “Biden’s horror show at the southern border ends at high noon on Inauguration Day, 2025.”

Kari Lake to Launch AZ Senate Bid.

Arizona Republican Kari Lake is preparing to launch a Senate run in the early weeks of October, according to three individuals familiar with her plans, as published by POLITICO.

Known for her staunch support of former President Donald Trump, Lake, who refused to concede her narrow loss in Arizona’s gubernatorial race last year, has been dropping hints about her bid for months.

Recent weeks have seen her engaged in active involvement in national politics, including headlining events in Iowa and Michigan.

Lake’s intention to run has had an effect on the Republican field for the seat currently held by Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-Ariz.), with Blake Masters, the state’s 2022 Senate nominee, appearing to postpone his entry into the race after initially preparing to do so in September.

EXC – Trump in Iowa: ‘Biden Border Horror Show Ends at High Noon on Inauguration Day’.

Former President and Republican frontrunner Donald J. Trump is expected to announce a “full Fentanyl blockade” for U.S. territorial waters, as well as declaring that “a vote for President Trump means Joe Biden’s horror show at the southern border ends at high noon on Inauguration Day, 2025,” in remarks set to be delivered at 4pm EST in Dubuque, Iowa on Wednesday.

The National Pulse can also reveal first that Trump’s speech at the Grand River Center will focus intensely on America’s energy, immigration, and economic crises heralded by the White House-hyped “Bidenomics” policy platform.

“This is an invasion,” Trump will declare, as well as insisting that Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers be allowed to “do their jobs,” rather than being forced to “catch and release” illegals. Trump is also expected to give examples of the impact of this policy, highlighting specific illegal migrants who have committed heinous crimes including murders on American soil since being released by Biden’s government.

Just this week, American learned of Roberto Emilio Vasquez-Santamaria, a released illegal who went on to bludgeon American citizen to death after just a few months in the country.

“The Biden border disaster is now so egregious that the far-left mayors of New York and Chicago, and even the liberal governors of New York and Massachusetts, are slamming Crooked Joe for swamping their cities and towns with thousands of unwanted migrants—bringing crime, disease, and a colossal burden on schools, hospitals, and public resources. The mayor of New York said the migrant crisis ‘will destroy New York City’,” Trump is expected to highlight.

Trump says his second administration will follow “the Eisenhower Model” to “carry out the largest domestic deportation operation in American History,” as well as demanding that Congressional Republicans ban the Biden regime “from using a single taxpayer dollar to release or resettle illegal aliens into the United States effective September 30th.”

DeSantis Endorser Ken Buck Opposes Biden Impeachment, Demands Job at CNN.

Congressman Ken Buck, a Republican “soft endorser” of the Ron DeSantis campaign, is vocally opposed to the impeachment of President Joe Biden and now trying to ditch his work in the Capitol in exchange for a contributorship at CNN.

“I am interested in talking to folks at CNN and other news organizations — on the, I don’t want to call them left, but sort of center-left — and having an opportunity to do that full-time or do that as a contributor would be great also,” Buck said.

He was among eight members of the House of Representatives and one Senator, Mike Lee, who attended a DeSantis event in April, with the Florida Governor’s camp claiming his attendance as a “soft endorsement”. Now, Buck is best known as one of the House GOP’s leading RINOs – or Conservatives Under Notional Terms – for his efforts to stymie the impeachment investigation into Biden, as well as his support for the Biden regime’s harsh treatment of Jan 6 defendants.

He now faces a possible primary challenge by state Rep. Richard Holtorf on behalf of constituents “frustrated and upset” by his behavior, particularly his willingness to carry water for leftist news networks. He has even mooted “joining a DC-based law firm or seeking Biden’s nomination to the Federal Trade Commission.”

“Why is he on CNN and MSNBC? I don’t think the message he is explaining represents the sentiment of the district,” said Holtorf. “For any elected official, it’s not about you. It’s about the people in your district,” he added.

Buck, for his part, has openly admitted he has one foot out the door, and is “interested in talking to folks at CNN and other news organizations” about a new job.

Whether Buck’s support will prove a help or a hindrance to DeSantis, who has struggled to win MAGA converts and had to rely on Never Trumpers and even Democrats to man his ground operation, remains to be seen.
