WATCH: CNN Admits ‘Trump Was Right… Biden Was Wrong’ on Major Topic.

CNN’s Jake Tapper shocked his panel guests and presumably his television audience by admitting “Trump was right… Biden was wrong” in reference to their 2020 presidential debate dust-up over Hunter Biden and his business dealings with China and Ukraine.

Tapper, who hosts CNN’s The Lead, drew his panelists’ attention to an early August fact check by the Washington Post‘s Glenn Kessler, awarding Joe Biden “Four Pinocchios” for his denial:

“… Biden, during the debate, denied his son had made money in China. In court last week, his son has said he earned hundreds of thousands of dollars from Chinese business deals.”

WATCH:

The exchange of words between Trump and Biden was sparked by moderator Kristen Welker, who pressed the elder Biden if he thought his son’s business dealings in China and Ukraine were, “…inappropriate or unethical.” The question obviously agitated Biden who responded in a raised voice that his son Hunter  Biden “…has not made money in terms of this thing about, what are you talking about, China.” Biden then quipped that, “…the only guy who made money from China is this guy [gesturing at Donald Trump]. He’s the only one. Nobody else has made money from China.”

Trump fired right back at Biden, saying that once Joe Biden had become Vice President, Hunter “…made a fortune in Ukraine, in China, in Moscow and various other places. Biden emphatically stated: “That is not true.” Recent court documents have revealed that Hunter Biden did in fact earn millions from these deals.

Musk Snubs Ron? Says ‘Vivek Looks Strong’.

X (formerly Twitter) owner Elon Musk appears to be backing away from his early fandom of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, tweeting posting on Friday: “Vivek is increasingly looking like a strong candidate.”

Musk originally appeared to back DeSantis, hosting his campaign launch on then-Twitter, which garnered attention for its multifarious technical errors.

Musk’s tweet post was in response to David Sacks, who had tweeted posted a video of CNN attacking Vivek Ramaswamy for saying Ukraine may have to surrender territory for a peace deal with Russia. In reality, most policymakers in Washington, D.C. and Brussels already accept this is true.

Minorities Dump Biden Over ‘Pathetic’ Economy & Ukraine First Mentality.

Minority voters, long considered some of the most loyal supporters of the Democratic Party, are expressing anger at President Joe Biden according to a new Future Track Focus Group conducted by HIT Strategies, a left-wing market research firm. The group said they were discouraged and and pessimistic about about the Biden government’s handling of the U.S. economy – with one participant calling the state of the economy “pathetic.”

One participant, who identified as an Asian American and Pacific Islander, vented his frustration with the high level of economic uncertainty and lack of clarity from the Biden White House: “They’re kind of like saying that there possibly is going to be a soft landing, but they’re also expecting a recession of some sorts. It’s kind of a mixed message.”

The state of the economy, however, wasn’t the only problem participants had with President Biden. A Hispanic respondent indicated his disagreement with the Biden regime’s financial support of Ukraine, stating: “Our economy is the lowest it’s been in god knows how long. We keep sending money to Ukraine and other countries rather than helping ourselves.”

Responses from the focus group are indicative of a concerning trend for Biden’s 2024 re-election campaign as he is likely to face-off against the previous occupant of the White House, Donald Trump – the current Republican presidential front-runner. A recent AP poll found that only 36 percent of Americans approve of the Biden economy. Overall approval for President Biden trended just slightly higher at 42 percent.

At least one participant in the focus group indicated an openness to switching his vote from Biden to Trump:

I don’t feel like Democrats really have my back or Republicans, you know? I think as a president, you only have so much power. I mean, unless you’re someone like Trump to where he just — he really didn’t care. He did what he wanted to do… Trump got in there and he changed stuff.

Several recent national polls have shown former President Trump gaining an edge over Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential contest. An August 7th Premise poll has Trump leading Biden by a 7 point margin with 41 percent of the vote to Biden’s 34 percent.

‘Leaked’ DeSantis Memo Attacks Vivek as Hindu ‘Ingrained in India’s Caste System’

Ron DeSantis’s controversial super PAC ‘Never Back Down’ leaked its own memorandum suggesting the Florida Governor attack presidential rival Vivek Ramaswamy’s historic support for inheritance tax by bringing up his Indian heritage and Hindu faith.

“Ramaswamy – a Hindu who grew up visiting relatives in India and was very much ingrained in India’s caste system – supports [inheritance tax] as a mechanism to preserve a meritocracy in America and ensure everyone starts on a level playing field,” the memo reads, encouraging DeSantis to “sledgehammer” the tech entrepreneur during a debate to create a media “moment”.

The memo recommends DeSantis attempt to imitate Donald Trump by coming up with a derisive nickname for Ramaswamy, suggesting “Vivek the Fake” or “Fake Vivek”.

The DeSantis camp’s concerns over Ramaswamy reflect the fact that, having failed to make any real progress in peeling off MAGA conservatives from the former president, the Floridian now faces being driven into third place in the Republican primary race, with polls already putting Ramaswamy ahead of him on multiple occasions.

Ramaswamy’s team appears to have taken the high road on the attack memo, with a spokeswoman saying the businessman has “traveled this country and is very grateful for the warm support he has received from Christian voters across the country… The one-off attacks on his faith do not represent the views of most Christians who respect Vivek’s forthrightness and honesty about his own faith,” she added.

Everybody Hates Chris (Christie).

Everybody hates Chris Christie. Well, almost everybody, according to a new poll that shows the presidential candidate has almost no constituency anywhere in the nation.

Just 24 percent of Republicans surveyed have a favorable opinion of him compared to 57 percent who view him unfavorably. Among Democrats, Christie gleans 22 percent favorability and 60 percent view him unfavorably. The margin amongst independent voters was 17 percent to 46 percent.

Christie’s favorability amongst urban, suburban, and rural voters all trended in the low 20s, while his unfavorable rating ranged from 54 to 60 percent. Among key racial demographics things did not improve, with former Governor Christie with White voters saying they saw Christie as favorable 24 percent to 57 percent unfavorable, Black voters rated him 19 percent favorable to 48 percent unfavorable, and Hispanic voters came in at 16 percent favorable to 55 percent unfavorable.

Yet, the former New Jersey Governor has begun to eat Ron DeSantis’s lunch in New Hampshire, with no signs of the feast abating.

Poll: U.S. Distrusts DOJ on Hunter Case, Agree Trump Charges Politically Driven.

The American public is losing confidence in the Department of Justice (DOJ)’s Hunter Biden investigation and the prosecutions of former President Trump according to a new poll released by ABC/Ipsos. Nearly half of those polled indicated that they are not confident that the U.S. Justice Department is handling its investigation of Hunter Biden in a fair and nonpartisan manner – with just 32 percent expressing confidence.

The poll also revealed an entrenched partisan divide among respondents on questions regarding Donald Trump. Nearly 50 percent of respondents said they believed the DOJ prosecutions of the former President were politically motivated – yet half of those polled also said they believe Trump should suspend his presidential campaign.

Chris Jackson, a senior vice president at Ipsos, explained the near identical results regarding Trump: “The vast majority of Democrats want Trump to suspend his campaign (77 percent), and very few Republicans agree (20 percent). The inverse is true on whether the charges are politically motivated (81 percent of Republicans say yes, 21 percent of Democrats agree).” This partisan split has remained consistent in every poll that was conducted after each of Trump’s indictments according to Ipsos.

Hunter Biden, the son and alleged business partner of U.S. President Joe Biden, is facing prosecution after the DOJ’s proposed sweet heart plea deal fell apart under the scrutiny of U.S. District Court Judge Maryellen Noreika less than a month ago. Republican lawmakers have accused the DOJ and special counsel David Weiss of “misconduct and politicization” tantamount to a “coverup” in their investigation and prosecution of the President’s son. Democrats on Capitol Hill have remained evasive on the prosecution – Representative Dan Goldman (D-NY) being one of the few that has said publicly that Hunter Biden should be charged.

Former President Donald Trump faces two state and two federal prosecutions across four jurisdictions – Georgia, Florida, New York, and Washington, D.C. respectively. The ABC/Ipsos poll was conducted on August 15th and 16th and sampled 508 U.S. adults.

Romney’s Anti-Trump Jabs Lead Utah on Search for New Senator.

Mitt Romney, the junior U.S. Senator from Utah, has seen his popularity among Utah Republicans plummet as he weighs whether to run for re-election in 2024.

A vocal and obsessive critic of Donald Trump – who has publicly accused the former President of inciting a violent insurrection against Congress and attempting to corrupt the the 2020 Presidential election – Romney has managed to simultaneously alienate Utah’s conservative grassroots and the state’s Republican Party leadership. Robert Axson, chairman of the Utah Republican Party, accused Romney of betraying the principles of the party, stating: “I think the party is trending towards people who are committed to our platform and show up. And this is a place where I would invite Senator Romney to start showing up.”

The criticism from the state leader of his own political party is just the latest in bad news for the embattled anti-Trump Senator. Romney’s approval rating among Utah voters slid 11 points between March and June of this year according to polling conducted by the Deseret News and Hinckley Institute of Politics. Voter opinion of Senator Romney is now underwater with only 41 percent of voters saying they approve of his performance, while 49 percent disapprove.

Romney’s lack of popularity in Utah has already drawn one challenger into the 2024 U.S. Senate primary. Trent Staggs, the mayor of Riverton, announced his candidacy earlier this summer, stating Utah “…needs another proven fighter and conservative in the Senate… someone unafraid to stand against the Washington establishment.” The Staggs campaign has hammered Romney for his vote to impeach former President Trump, as well as his support for open-borders and “establishment wokeness”.

Should Romney decline to run for re-election, Utah political observers suspect the Republican primary for U.S. Senate to become much more crowded with former Congressman Jason Chaffetz, Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes, and Utah state House Speaker Brad Wilson all considered potential candidates.

EXC: DeSantis PAC Chair Blasts ‘Racist, Bigoted, Insufferable, Brainless’ South.

Matt Wells, a chairman in Ron DeSantis’s Never Back Down PAC, lambasted the U.S. South and Southerners, bemoaning the “climate of racism and bigotry” and the “hate and distrust emanating from the people,” in comments unearthed by The National Pulse. Wells is best known for recently disparaging MAGA conservatives as “degenerates” and telling leftist reporters he wouldn’t “piss on Donald Trump if he was on fire.”

Wells locked his X (formerly Twitter) account shortly after the first National Pulse report, penning a lengthy blog post refusing to apologize for his comments, which led to the discovery of his heinous, 2016 comments about his fellow Americans.

“I can normally talk to anyone that has more than a few brain cells to rub together. That wasn’t the case in South Carolina and Georgia,” he wrote of his time there, adding: “People in the South are incredibly suspicious of those that are different from them while at the same time being insufferably polite to your face while holding you in contempt as soon as you turn your back.”

Wells also bemoaned, much like the pages of the New York Times, “the still alive climate of racism and bigotry that has long dogged the American South” claiming some towns “are still almost entirely voluntarily (or not) segregated.”

“…the racist climate [in the South] is still alive and well.”

– Matt Wells, DeSantis PAC Chairman.’

Claiming to have been shouted at for “supporting someone with a ‘Cuban’ last name.” Wells also claimed in his lengthy diatribe: “Confederate flag flying homes, almost 100%, could be counted on as a home of a Combover devotee. His supporters speak like him. They use the same empty words and phrases (all with a southern drawl). ‘We’re going to build a wall’, ‘We’ll be so great’, ‘America doesn’t win anymore’, ‘He’ll make good deals’, etc.”

Having described Trump supporters as cultists, Wells concluded by declaring the “‘Bible Belt’ is frayed and the buckle is highly tarnished and the people need true spiritual revival. The one saving grace I cling to is Ted Cruz…”

“I don’t really have a desire to visit the south ever again,” he wrote, expressing hope that “the younger generations are turning away from the backwards thinking down South.”

CONFIRMED: Michigan Told FBI of 2020 Election Fraud Attempts.

The office of Michigan’s Attorney General, Dana Nessel, has confirmed there was a state investigation into a large number of voter registrations suspected to be fraudulent, with the case being referred to the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) in 2021.

Danny Wimmer, Nessel’s press secretary, recently admitted a number of some 8,000 to 10,000 voter registration forms delivered to the Muskegon clerk by a “black female” in the run-up to 2020 presidential elections “were found to be suspicious or fraudulent.”

Some of the irregularities included a number voter registrations being written in the same handwriting and addresses on multiple forms being “invalid or non-existent.”

The local Muskegon authorities referred the attempted fraud to Michigan’s Bureau of Elections, which, in turn, referred the case to both the Attorney General as well as the state police. State officials thereafter referred the unresolved investigation to the FBI in March 2021 due to the intelligence agency’s national jurisdiction, though the FBI refused to confirm or deny whether an investigation took place.

Wimmer, however, stated the “attempted fraud” was caught before November 3 and that none of the suspicious or fraudulent materials were “incorporated into the state’s qualified voter file,” and the effort, therefore, had “no effect on any ballot requests or associated processes.”

DeSantis Sinks to 8%, With Just 38% of His Backers ‘Certain’ of Their Choice.

Scott Rasmussen’s RMG Research has found Florida Governor Ron DeSantis sinking to just eight points in their latest poll, with former President Donald J. Trump now up to 60 percent of the vote in the 2024 Republican primary. The national survey of 229 likely Republican primary voters places businessman Vivek Ramaswamy in second, with 13 percent support. The poll has a margin of error of 3.1%.

Even worse for the Florida Governor: a full 83 percent of Trump’s supporters said they were “absolutely certain” of voting for him, while just 38 percent of DeSantis’s supporters felt the same way about their choice.

RMG also indicates Republicans holding a five point Congressional Generic Ballot edge over the Democrats – adding that just last month Republicans only had a two point edge.

Polling aggregator FiveThirtyEight’s Republican Presidential Primary model shows as similar trend with Trump holding above 50 percent and DeSantis on a steady decline.

The news comes three weeks after DeSantis slumped into single digits in Ohio. Last week, National Pulse editor-in-chief predicted DeSantis would be a “single digit midget Ron within a couple of weeks”.
