The presidency of France’s National Assembly remains with President Emmanuel Macron‘s ally Yaël Braun-Pivet despite the Macronist bloc in the legislature placing third by share of the popular vote, thanks to support from RINO-like Republican MPs.
Coveted vice-presidential roles in the legislature were distributed among the far-left France Unbowed (LFI) party, the Republicans (LR), and Macron‘s bloc, leaving Marine Le Pen’s National Rally, which won the popular vote and nearly 125 deputies, completely sidelined.
In response, Le Pen is condemning the deal between the far-left, Macronists, and Republicans as a “denial of democracy.”
Many RN supporters are similarly angry at the deal, with protestor Sylvain, of Milly-la-Forêt, saying, “I find it scandalous… It’s undemocratic and unacceptable.”
The so-called cordon sanitaire is a policy that has been used to exclude the RN for years from official positions, as well as possible governing coalitions.
There is also conflict among the left-leaning parties, with the Macronist bloc, Ensemble, trying to isolate the LFI led by Jean-Luc Melenchon within the far-left New Popular Front bloc. No clear candidate for prime minister has emerged.
Raheem Kassam, Editor-in-Chief of The National Pulse, predicted that the conflicts between the various factions in France could lead to yet another snap election, as the Macronists and the far left struggle to form a working partnership.
The RN has not only been singled out by rival political parties, but also by the deep state. Prior to this year’s national election, many officials announced they would refuse to obey the RN if they were able to form a government.
However, despite these hurdles, the RN has continued to grow and gain seats, while the establishment parties decline.

Representative Greg Steube (R-FL) will invoke articles of impeachment against United States Secret Service (USSS) director Kimberly Cheatle following her uncooperative testimony on Monday. “In light of Kimberly Cheatle’s unacceptable handling of the [Donald] Trump assassination attempt, her disastrous appearance before the House Oversight Committee today, and her refusal to resign, we have no choice but to impeach,” Congressman Steube stated on X (formerly Twitter).
Director Cheatle faced a barrage of criticism during the hearing, with Republican lawmaker Nancy Mace (R-SC) hammering Cheatle on the agency failures that led to Donald J. Trump almost being killed by gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks.
As Cheatle attempted to dodge yes or no questions from Mace, the GOP lawmaker declared, “You’re full of shit today,” adding: “You’re just being completely dishonest.” Cheatle admitted that the USSS had failed to protect President Trump but also admitted that no agents have been fired as a result of the failure.
Cheatle’s excuses for the failure, which included a suggestion that the roof of the building used by Crooks was too sloped to station agents on, has been widely criticized. Other members of law enforcement have claimed to have warned agents of Crooks nearly half an hour prior to the shooting.
Whether or not Crooks was the only person involved in the attempted assassination remains a hotly contested subject, with Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) stating Monday that she no longer believes Crooks worked alone following an Oversight briefing.

Monday’s House Oversight Committee hearing regarding the attempted assassination of former President Donald J. Trump evolved into a rare moment of near-bipartisan unity as lawmakers demanded United States Secret Service (USSS) Director Kimberly Cheatle resign. As Cheatle‘s questioning progressed through the morning and early afternoon, committee members became increasingly alarmed by the lack of information Cheatle was willing to provide and her seeming incompetence.
Cheatle—who from 2019 to 2022 served as the global director of security for PepsiCo.—sat for nearly four and a half hours as lawmakers peppered her with questions regarding the lapses in security that resulted in a 20-year-old shooter being able to get within 200 yards of Trump and nearly assassinate him. While the hearing could have been an opportunity to assuage concerns on Capitol Hill and among the American public, Cheatle offered little transparency.
Calls for Cheatle’s resignation were nearly unanimous, although Representative Pete Sessions (R-TX) stopped short of demanding she step down and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) avoided the conversation altogether.
Three exchanges between lawmakers and Cheatle best summarize the hearing overall.
CHEATLE’S EGO EXPOSED.
Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) engaged in one of the most aggressive pushes among the lawmakers regarding Cheatle‘s resistance to calls for her resignation from the USSS. The Flordia Democrat asked: “You said there’s going to be accountability. I understand that you don’t want to give us names. When you say that, are you telling the committee that once [the investigation] is concluded, that you’re prepared to fire the people on the ground who made poor decisions that day?”
Cheatle attempted to dodge the question, saying she was prepared to “take the actions necessary” before Moskowitz intervened and pressed again if she would fire those who failed in their duties. Again, Cheatle offered only a non-answer.
The USSS director’s lack of candor instigated a telling question from Moskowitz, who had grown frustrated with Cheatle. “Let me ask this question a different way. If Trump had been assassinated that day, if the gunman had succeeded, would you have come and tendered your resignation?” he asked.
Cheatle responded: “I would still be sitting here because I would want to ensure the integrity of the investigation.”
While Moskowitz acknowledged that it was fair that she would want to set the process in motion, he pressed again, asking if she would have acknowledged the need for new leadership at the USSS if “a president was assassinated on [her] watch.” Cheatle, as she had done throughout the hearing, refused to give a direct response.

Next, Cheatle struggled to give an honest answer to Rep. Lisa McClain (R-MI) regarding evidence and information that had been communicated to her by officials at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Tired of Cheatle’s non-answers, Rep. McClain told the USSS director the best way to keep her job was to answer the questions honestly and “not play this shell game.”
When pressed on when she began preparing for the hearing, Cheatle couldn’t offer a date, leaving the Michigan Republican exasperated. McClain then asked Cheatle if she’d communicated with the FBI and with whom. At first, the USSS director would not answer as to what FBI officials she was communicating with, though she eventually relented and acknowledged she had spoken with the agency’s director and deputy director.
“How many shell casings were on the roof?” Rep. McClain asked Cheatle, noting the USSS director had acknowledged that the FBI had given her an exact number despite the fact she had declined to answer in her earlier testimony. Cheatle responded: “I would refer to the FBI.”
McClain again asked how many shell casings were found on the roof where the assassin was positioned. Again, Cheatle referred the Congresswoman to the FBI—refusing to share information with the committee.

The final exchange with Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL) was the most telling of the day. The Florida Republican questioned why the USSS had not held a single press conference informing the American public as to updates regarding the attempted assassination of former President Trump. Cheatle acknowledged that neither she nor Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas had held a single press conference.
“This is how misinformation flies in the darkness. In the absence of information,” Rep. Waltz said of the lack of public transparency from the USSS. He continued: “Are you aware that national news anchors are saying this was a hoax? On national television, they’re saying, ‘No, the president wasn’t shot; it was flying glass.’ Are you aware of that?”
Cheatle responded: ” I have not heard those reports.”
“Are you aware that there are rumors rampant online that there were multiple shooters?” Waltz pressed, with Cheatle responding: “Yes.”
“Are you aware that because the shooter had overseas encrypted platforms in Belgium, New Zealand, and Germany, that a lot of people are speculating there could have been foreign involvement? Logically?” he asked Cheatle, with the USSS director admitting she was aware.
“And have you done anything to disabuse any of these notions today?” the Florida Congressman asked before answering for Cheatle: “No.”

Los Angeles Magazine Editor-in-Chief Shirley Halperin has resigned after just over a year on the job amid reports the publication’s owners—Mark Geragos and Ben Meiselas—have failed to pay reporters, photographers, freelancers, and other vendors for their work. Meiselas co-founded the far-left, anti-Donald Trump MeidasTouch Network with his brothers Jordan and Brett, which has spread conspiracy theories regarding the former president and Republican lawmakers.
Responding to a report in The Wrap regarding Halperin’s resignation and the failure to pay staff and freelancers, the magazine offered a non-answer. “We are proud that Los Angeles Magazinewill have a profitable year in a challenging media environment, and circulation is way up,” Christopher Gialanella, the president and publisher of Los Angeles Magazine, said, adding: “We will be announcing our new Editor-In-Chief in the next two weeks.”
‘NO REGARD FOR MEDIA INDUSTRY.’
Ben Meiselas and his law partner Mark Geragos purchased Los Angeles Magazine in 2022 for an estimated $6 million. At the time of the purchase, the magazine was an unprofitable venture. Under Meiselas and Geragos, the magazine has continued to hemorrhage cash.
According to The Wrap, Greg Gilman—the executive editor for the magazine’s website—departed the publication last month over the failure to pay freelancers and the “lack of vision and strategy by new owners.” Meiselas and Geragos are said to have “little or no regard for journalists and media industry.”
The National Pulse has reported extensively on Ben Meiselas and his brothers’ MeidasTouch operation. Ron Filipkowski, Editor-in-Chief of the far-left network, has likened his organization’s behavior on social media to criminal arson, “dropping a burning ember in a dry forest” and creating a “big blaze” of fake news within hours. MeidasTouch popularized the “bloodbath” hoax against Trump, and has been praised by the Biden-Harris regime as their “front lines.”

Representative Anna Paulina Luna is convinced that Thomas Matthew Crooks, the gunman who attempted to assassinate President Donald J. Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, did not act alone. In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, Rep. Luna stated: “After leaving oversight briefing this am I am convinced now more than ever that Crooks was not working alone.”
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has gained access to Crook’s phone, recovered at the scene of the shooting. Still, they are having difficulties accessing encrypted foreign platforms used by him.
Authorities found a second phone at Crooks’ home, along with firearms and explosive devices.
Whistleblowers have previously testified that the U.S. Secret Service (USSS) was understaffed during the Trump rally in Butler, PA, where the attempted assassination took place. Additionally, whistleblowers say that most of Trump’s security detail was not comprised of USSS agents but relatively inexperienced Department of Homeland Security (DHS) agents.
USSS Director Kimberly Cheatle has claimed that agents were not positioned on the building Crooks scaled to fire on Trump due to its “sloped roof,” creating safety concerns. However, local law enforcement present at the rally countered the USSS director, noting that they had informed the chain of command of Crooks and his suspicious activity nearly half an hour before the shooting took place.

Britain’s Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer invited Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky to a meeting with his Cabinet ministers on Friday, July 19. The meeting followed a forum of European leaders at Blenheim Palace, underscoring Starmer‘s attempt to underline the new Labour government’s commitment to the Ukraine war by inviting Zelensky to address his ministers, the first foreign leader to do so since President Bill Clinton in 1997.
Zelensky’s visit coincides with the launch of a new initiative aimed at disrupting Russia‘s ‘shadow fleet’ of about 600 oil tankers used to circumvent sanctions.
“I won’t allow Russia’s shadow fleet of oil tankers, and the dirty money it generates, to flow freely through European waters and put our security at risk,” Starmer said, adding: “Ukraine is, and always will be, at the heart of my government’s agenda.”
The Defence Export Support Treaty, to be signed by defense ministers, will provide Ukraine access to 3.5 billion pounds ($4.5 billion) in export finance to boost defense production.
Last week at NATO, Starmer reaffirmed a commitment, initiated by his predecessor Rishi Sunak, to provide 3 billion pounds annually in military support to Ukraine until at least 2030-31, and potentially beyond.

Following the snap legislative elections in France on June 30 and July 7, a globalist coalition supporting President Emmanuel Macron has secured the presidency of the National Assembly despite coming second in seats and third in the popular vote. They did so with the help of a rump of supposedly “center-right” lawmakers from Les Républicains (the Republicans), who behave in broadly similar fashion to Republicans-in-name-only (RINOs) in the United States.
Amidst a parliamentary landscape divided chiefly between the far-left New Popular Front (NFP) coalition, the Macronist coalition, and Marine Le Pen’s populist National Rally (RN), Macron’s MPs successfully re-elected Yaël Braun-Pivet as the leader of the National Assembly.
Braun-Pivet clinched victory in the third round of voting with 220 votes, surpassing Communist politician André Chassaigne with 207 votes and RN candidate Sébastien Chenu with 141 votes, thanks to Republican backing.
Braun-Pivet, who became the first woman President of the National Assembly in 2022, faces renewed criticism from the far-left NFP parties following the election outcome.
“Through an undisclosed agreement with Les Républicains, the [Macron]-backed candidate has reclaimed the presidency of the National Assembly after three consecutive defeats in European and legislative elections,” stated Olivier Faure, the Socialist Party’s first secretary, in reference to the Macronists dire performance in the European elections and two rounds of French national elections. “This constitutes a blatant disregard for democracy,” Faure said of the deal.
As the fourth-highest official in the French state, the President of the National Assembly oversees debates in the Chamber and wields substantial powers of appointment, including appointments to the Constitutional Council.
However, the coalition supporting the Macronist candidate is narrow, lacking the dominance needed to truly govern the National Assembly. France continues to grapple with a political crisis since the dissolution of June 9.
Following the vote returning a Macronist to power in the legislature, the General Confederation of Labour (CGT) called for a demonstration in Paris, urging President Macron to appoint a prime minister from the NFP, which emerged as the largest group of parties in the recent legislative elections.

Britain’s new Foreign Secretary, David Lammy, is refusing to apologize for calling former President Donald J. Trump a “neo-Nazi sympathizing sociopath” and “tyrant.” He argues, “You’re going to struggle to find any politician who has not had things to say about Donald Trump in his first term, particularly on Twitter.”
Asked if his very public attacks on Trump, now the favorite to win the November presidential elections, will undermine the “special relationship” between Britain and America, the Labour politician told the BBC, “The truth is… Donald Trump has the thickest of skins.”
Lammy then completely reversed his past characterization of Trump, whom he has directly compared to Adolf Hitler, admitting, “There is a lot of rhetoric, but look at the action. He was the first to give Javelins to Ukraine after 2015. He talked about withdrawing from NATO; he actually increased troops to NATO.”
Lammy, who pushed far-left identity politics for years in opposition, has also charged Trump with “grotesque racism” and branded him a “wannabe despot” and a “racist KKK and Nazi sympathizer. ” He derided Trump’s supporters as a “cult of white supremacists.”
As a backbench Member of Parliament (MP), he lobbied against then-President Trump being invited to Britain for a state visit in 2017, arguing the British government should instead “be putting [Trump] on a watch list and barring him from entry to our country” while asking the FBI to investigate him for “inciting hatred” on social media.

Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico, who survived an assassination attempt in May, has drawn comparisons between his experience and the recent attack on former President Donald J. Trump. The Slovak populist believes the media and political left stoking hatred fueled both incidents.
Fico criticized Slovak media outlets, referring to them as “adversary media,” “anti-Slovak press,” and “[George] Soros’s herd of pigs,” for inspiring his shooting.
“If Donald Trump’s attacker had spoken Slovak, after reading [Slovak newspapers], it would have been enough to incite him to ‘set things right’ with the former U.S. president,” Fico wrote.
Fico predicted Trump‘s enemies will now begin pushing a discourse “about the necessity of reconciliation, pacification, and forgiveness,” echoing the media rhetoric following his own assassination attempt.
Liberal media, celebrities, and others in the United States and the wider West have demonized President Trump for years.
BBC presenter David Aaronovitch recently called on President Joe Biden to “hurry up and have Trump murdered on the basis that he is a threat to America’s society” in a supposedly satirical post responding to a Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity.
Many media publications have directly compared Trump to Adolf Hitler, including the New Republic, TheWashington Post, and Germany’s Stern magazine.
Nigel Farage has also blamed the media for feeding into hysteria regarding Trump, saying, “It’s so unpleasant, that I think it almost encourages this type of behavior.”

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH), has revealed that whistleblowers are saying the U.S. Secret Service (USSS) was understaffed during the attempted assassination of President Donald J. Trump in Pennsylvania, due to commitments to the NATO summit that was ongoing at the same time.
“Americans deserve answers,” Jordan wrote on X, releasing a letter he sent to Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) director Christopher Wray calling for answers regarding the failings that nearly led to the assassination of President Trump by Thomas Matthew Crooks on July 13.
Jordan poses 12 questions to Wray, including how many personnel the FBI has dedicated to the investigation into the failure, and why it took authorities so long to identify Crooks as a threat.
Some law enforcement officials say Crooks was identified as suspicious nearly half an hour before the shooting.
The FBI recently announced they had cracked Crooks’s cell phone and discovered another phone in his home. Jordan questions the FBI about what material was found on the devices and whether the FBI investigation is limited to the motivation of Crooks or if it encompasses the security failures as well.
Alongside the dozen questions, Jordan demanded the FBI hand over documentation including all communication between the USSS and the FBI regarding the Butler, PA rally.
Much of the criticism has been laid at the feet of USSS Director Kimberly Cheatle, who claimed that no one was posted on the roof from which Crooks opened fire because its slightly sloped roof made it unsafe.
“The buck stops with me,” Cheatle has claimed, though she is refusing to resign.
On Thursday, House Speaker Mike Johnson told the media that he has contacted the White House and encouraged Joe Biden to fire Cheatle.
