Biden’s ABC Interview Offers Little Reassurance for Dems As 81-Year-Old Insists He’s Defeating Trump.

Joe Biden‘s prerecorded, 20-minute interview with former Bill Clinton White House aide George Stephanopoulos offered little reassurance for Democrats and American voters concerned about his cognitive decline. Addressing his disastrous debate performance, the 81-year-old blamed a cold, concerns that he had COVID-19, exhaustion, and interruptions by former President Donald J. Trump for what tens of millions of Americans witnessed. It should be noted that the microphones of each candidate were muted while the other spoke, and split screen shots of the two did not show Trump shouting or regularly interrupting Biden.

NO COGNITIVE EXAMS.

While Biden acknowledged he’s slowed a step, he insisted he remains in good health and can win the 2024 presidential election. Asked by Stephanopoulos if he’d receive an independent neurological examination and release the results, Biden refused—stating he receives one every day through his work as President of the United States.

Throughout the short interview, Biden never responded to any question with specifics. He did, however, stumble and make several major gaffes. The 81-year-old incumbent claimed he stopped Vladimir Putin despite Putin invading Ukraine under his watch.

MORE GAFFES.

Additionally, Biden claimed to have created NATO, lied about a New York Times poll showing him far behind Trump, and appeared to believe Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) ran for president—he’s never run for the White House. His denial of the reality of the state of the presidential race suggests information reaching Biden is tightly controlled by his inner circle.

Stephanopoulos repeatedly pressed Biden—who appeared overly focused on remembering a handful of prepared responses—as to whether he realizes how far he’s behind former President Donald J. Trump in the presidential race. Subsequently, Biden rattled off a line stating that the public polls don’t match his campaign’s data and that the race is a toss-up.

‘I GAVE IT MY ALL.’

In a moment that undercut one of Biden’s key campaign issues—that Trump is an existential threat to democracy—the octogenarian Democrat was asked by Stephanopoulos how he’ll feel if he stays in the race and Trump wins. “I’ll feel, as long as I gave it my all, and I did as good a job as I know I can do, that’s what this is about,” Biden responded—his answer offering little reassurance to Democrats who fear Trump’s victory is likely to come to pass.

Report: Powerful Senate Democrat Turns on Biden, Wants Him Out.

Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) is working to assemble a group of Democrat senators to pressure Joe Biden to drop his 2024 presidential re-election bid. Unlike the sporadic statements from House Democrats that emerged in the immediate aftermath of Biden’s impaired and disastrous June 27 presidential debate performance, a coordinated effort led by Sen. Warner may be an objection that the Biden campaign cannot ignore.

A report on Friday revealed the Democratic Senator is pushing his colleagues to join him in an effort to convince Biden to step aside as the party’s nominee. This is the first instance of any organized move against Biden by elected members of his own party. A Warner spokesman would neither confirm nor deny the efforts, stating: “Like many other people in Washington and across the country, Senator Warner believes these are critical days for the president’s campaign, and he has made that clear to the White House.”

The Virginia Democrat is said to be considering several options to push Biden out of the race. Warner is reportedly gaining some support from colleagues to organize a meeting between Democratic senators and Biden, during which the former can at least air their concerns that the 81-year-old Democrat cannot defeat former President Donald J. Trump.

Meanwhile, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is cautioning his members to hold off on pressing Biden until they have more polling data to help determine whether the incumbent will cost Democrats down the ballot.

Warner is chairman of the coveted Senate Intelligence Committee and a leading national Democratic Party figure. Since his tenure as Governor of Virginia, the Democrat Senator has been repeatedly floated as a potential presidential or vice presidential candidate.

‘I’m Not Leaving’: Biden Refuses to Quit on Campaign Conference Call.

Joe Biden is doubling down on his commitment to staying in the race for reelection despite acknowledging his disastrous debate performance against former President Donald J. Trump last week. In a conference call on Wednesday, the 81-year-old asserted, “I am running. I’m not leaving. I’m in this race to the end and we’re going to win.”

Facing reports of “very low morale” among White House and campaign staff, Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris sought to reassure their supporters and donors. Meanwhile, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre addressed concerns over Biden’s debate performance during Wednesday’s press briefing, admitting it “wasn’t a great night.” However, she reiterated that Biden has no intention of resigning from office or dropping out of the race.

Jean-Pierre dismissed questions about Biden‘s diminished cognitive state, instead attributing his impaired debate performance to jet lag and fatigue. Biden spent eight days at Camp David preparing for last Thursday’s debate with Trump after returning to the United States from the G7 summit in Europe on June 15.

“We are in a critical moment right now,” Jean-Pierre emphasized regarding Biden’s rematch with Trump. “Everything is at stake.”

Despite Biden’s insistence on continuing his reelection campaign, opposition to his candidacy within the Democratic Party is growing. On Monday, Representative Lloyd Doggett (D-TX) became the first Democrat lawmaker on Capitol Hill to call on Biden to step down. Doggett was later joined by Rep. Raúl Grijalva (D-AZ).

A New York Times poll released Wednesday puts Trump six points ahead of Biden among those likely to vote in November, suggesting that the presidential contest is slipping away from the 81-year-old incumbent.

What Did Kamala Harris Know Regarding Joe Biden’s Cognitive Decline, And When Did She Know It?

The potential that Joe Biden could end his 2024 presidential re-election bid—and even resign from office—due to his declining cognitive state is raising new concerns regarding when senior White House aides and Vice President Kamala Harris became aware of his health issues. Lawmakers on Capitol Hill say they intend to investigate if senior staff and Harris lied to the American people regarding the 81-year-old Democrat incumbent’s diminished mental capacity.

This past February, Harris slammed Department of Justice (DOJ) special counsel Robert Hur’s report noting Biden’s cognitive struggles. “As a former prosecutor, the comments that were made by that prosecutor: gratuitous, inaccurate and inappropriate,” she said, adding: “The way that the president’s demeanor in that report was characterized could not be more wrong on the facts, and clearly politically motivated, gratuitous.”

WHEN DID HARRIS KNOW?

The National Pulse analyzed Biden‘s public schedule to determine how often he and Harris met during their tenure. This gives some indication of the extent to which the Vice President would have been able to observe Biden’s mental decline. According to the public schedule, Harris has attended meetings and events with Joe Biden 417 times since February 2021.

Throughout their first year in office, Biden and Harris met 200 times, averaging 17 monthly meetings. In 2022, that number declined to 96 meetings, with an average of eight per month. Last year, the two had a similar number of meetings, with the total sitting at 92. However, according to the public schedule, the number of times Biden and Harris have met has plummeted throughout the first half of 2024. On average, they’ve held just five meetings together each month.

The number of interactions between the two implies it is implausible that Harris was not aware of Biden‘s diminished cognitive state. In addition, the sudden decline in the number of monthly meetings—beginning in June 2023—suggests that Biden’s health may have drastically declined around the same time.

WATCH: Megadonor Brother of U.S. Japan Ambassador Torches Biden — ‘We’re In F**k City.’

The brother of Joe Biden‘s Ambassador to Japan, Rahm Emanuel, hammered the 81-year-old Democrat for rejecting calls to withdraw from the 2024 presidential election after his disastrous debate performance last week. Ari Emanuel, a Hollywood Democrat megadonor and CEO of the entertainment company Endeavor, told attendees at the 2024 Aspen Ideas Festival that donors are abandoning Biden, and removing him as the party’s nominee is now likely a legal matter.

“Everyone says, ‘Well, get rid of [Biden]’ and broker convention. Nope,” Emanuel said bluntly, suggesting that there is a slim chance the Democratic National Convention delegates can maneuver to replace Biden. He added: “I promised myself I wasn’t going to swear, so we’re in a… this is a pickle.”

“The lifeblood to a campaign in politics, the lifeblood is money,” Ari Emanuel explained—noting his brother has had a long career in government, including a stint as Barack Obama‘s White House chief of staff and as Mayor of Chicago. He continued: “[M]aybe the only way this gets [resolved]—with smart lawyers looking at it—is if the money starts drying up.”

When pressed as to what happens next, Emanuel responded: “If this is, as Biden says, the fight for our democracy… man, he gave us a bunch of malarky, and I’m really pissed… I talked to a bunch of big donors and they’re moving all their money to Congress and the Senate.”

“I cannot believe we’re in this situation… we’re in f**k city,” he declared, appearing angry and exasperated by Biden‘s refusal to step aside despite his shockingly diminished mental faculties.

Americans Identifying as Democrats Sinks to Lowest Level on Record.

The number of Americans identifying as Democrats has hit the lowest level on record, according to new data from Gallup. In June, just 23 percent of individuals surveyed identified as Democrats. Gallup began continuously recording party identification in 2004.

Identification with the Republican Party stands at 25 percent. The number of Americans identifying as political independents hit the highest number on record in the survey, with 51 percent saying they do not identify with any political party.

Democrats have generally maintained an edge in party identification compared to Republicans in past election cycles. In June 2016, the year Donald J. Trump was elected to the White House, Democratic Party affiliation sat at 47 percent, compared to 42 percent identifying as Republicans. Democrats held an even greater advantage in 2008, with 52 percent of respondents identifying with the party against 40 percent identifying as Republicans.

Historical data from Gallup shows that Republican identification dipped to its lowest, at 20 percent, in October 2013. Before June’s record low, Democratic identification hit its previous lows of 24 percent in September of both 2022 and 2023, during Biden‘s presidency.

As of June, Biden‘s approval rating stood at just 38 percent. The 81-year-old has faced substantial criticism, including from within his own party, over his cognitively impaired performance in the recent presidential debate. Democrat leaders increasingly fear Biden’s mental weakness could result in a landslide victory for Trump.

ICYMI: Karine Jean-Pierre Implies Any Videos Exposing Biden’s Infirmities Are ‘Cheap Fakes.’

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre implied during the press briefing on Tuesday that any video exposing Joe Biden‘s cognitive decline or physical infirmities is a “cheap fake.” Jean-Pierre first used the term “cheap fake” last month, attacking videos exposing Biden’s declining mental state on social media as “disinformation.”

When pressed if she regretted using the term “cheap fakes” to delegitimize criticism of Biden‘s declining cognitive state, the White House Press Secretary doubled down. She accused a “certain part of the media”—meaning independent and conservative-leaning press—of pushing “cheap fakes.”

“Independent, mainstream fact-checkers in the press and misinformation experts have been calling out cheap fakes,” Jean-Pierre claimed, insisting: “at the end of the day, they’re fakes—that’s what they were.”

“Targeting the President, they have said—the reporters and these misinformation experts—said that this President was being targeted, and what we did was echo them. That’s what we did,” Jean-Pierre argued, implying that any video exposing Biden’s cognitive decline is disinformation.

The Caribbean French official has been highly defensive regarding Biden’s mental condition, hanging up on a reporter in March when she was asked about the President’s mental faculties and whether he shows symptoms of dementia.

During last week’s presidential debate, the 81-year-old appeared cognitively impaired. He often contradicted himself and at times offered nonsensical responses to moderator questions. In the aftermath, many Democrats admitted the debate performance was a disaster.

Democrat Rep. Jared Golden: ‘Trump Is Going to Win, And I’m OK With That.’

Representative Jared Golden (D-ME) says he believes former President Donald J. Trump will win re-election to the White House this November. In an opinion editorial for the Bangor Daily News, the Maine Democrat said, “While I don’t plan to vote for him, Donald Trump is going to win. And I’m OK with that.”

Golden, who represents a district that voted for Trump by a seven-point margin in 2020, accused Joe Biden and national Democrats of trying to scare voters with their rhetoric about Trump being an existential threat to democracy. “Democrats’ post-debate hand-wringing is based on the idea that a Trump victory is not just a political loss, but a unique threat to our democracy,” the Maine Congressman states, adding: “I reject the premise.”

“Unlike Biden and many others, I refuse to participate in a campaign to scare voters with the idea that Trump will end our democratic system,” Golden continues.

The Maine Democrat strikes a strong anti-Biden tone, signaling—at least in his district—that any association with the 81-year-old incumbent is a political liability. “This election is about the economy, not democracy,” Goldman writes, arguing: “When it comes to our economy, our Congress matters far more than who occupies the White House.”

Golden believes Biden deserves little or no credit for several of his supposed signature pieces of legislation. According to the Democrat Congressman, Biden had little to do with the drafting and passage of the CHIPS Act and Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), which he contends were purely congressional undertakings.

Golden’s opinion editorial, while sure to rankle almost the entirety of the Democratic Party, is a calculated move. The Democrat faces tough re-election prospects, and moving closer to Trump could sway just enough voters for him to retain his seat.

Dems Begin to Break With Biden White House as Fear Over Cognitive Decline Mounts.

National and state-level Democrats are beginning to break ranks with Joe Biden’s White House as voter concern mounts over the 81-year-old incumbents’ declining cognitive state. Fueling frustration within the Democratic Party is the continued insistence by campaign and White House staff that Biden is healthy and mentally fit despite his shockingly impaired debate performance last Thursday.

Representative Lloyd Doggett (D-TX) became the first sitting Member of Congress to call for Joe Biden to end his re-election bid. “I represent the heart of a congressional district once represented by Lyndon Johnson. Under very different circumstances, he made the painful decision to withdraw,” Rep. Doggett said in a statement on Tuesday, concluding: “President Biden should do the same.”

DEMS BEGIN HEDGING.

Meanwhile, other Congressional Democrats inched closer to joining Doggett’s call for the 81-year-old Biden to step aside. In an interview earlier on Tuesday, Rep. Mike Quigley (D-IL) stopped short of saying Biden needs to drop his presidential re-election bid. “We have to be honest with ourselves that it wasn’t just a horrible night, but I won’t go beyond that out of my respect and understanding of President Joe Biden, a very proud person who has served us extraordinarily well for 50 years,” the influential Illinois Democrat said.

Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC)—whose 2020 primary endorsement of Biden arguably secured him the Democratic nomination—also backed off his support of the White House. Instead, Clyburn, in an interview, threw his support behind Vice President Kamala Harris, stating: “This party should not, in any way, do anything to work around Ms. Harris. We should do everything we can to bolster her whether she’s in second place or at the top of the ticket.”

Even former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), who has stood steadfast by Biden and his decision to seek re-election, is now opening the door to discussions about his health. “I think it’s a legitimate question to say, ‘Is this an episode or is this a condition?'” the 84-year-old told MSNBC, acknowledging that voters are justified in their concerns.

GOVERNORS REVOLT.

On Monday, Democratic governors huddled on a call led by Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN). In an effort to prevent leaks regarding the extent of their concerns, only the governors themselves were allowed to participate, and staff were banned from joining. Following their airing of grievances and fears regarding the debate performance, Biden agreed to meet with the state-level Democratic leaders on Wednesday.

The shift away from defending Biden in lock-step with the re-election campaign may be partly driven by post-debate survey data produced by the progressive pollster OpenLabs. According to a memo circulated by OpenLabs among Democrat insiders on Sunday, their post-debate data shows that 40 percent of 2020 Biden voters now think the incumbent should end his re-election campaign.

RFK Jr. May Have Contracted Brain Worm After Eating a Dog.

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. may have contracted a parasitic worm that ate part of his brain after consuming a barbequed dog in 2010 during a trip to South Korea. The worm was discovered by doctors the same year after Kennedy had complained of memory loss and cognitive struggles—initially attributed to a possible brain tumor.

According to Kennedy, the parasite ate a portion of his brain before before dying. The worm’s death may have resulted from mercury poisoning, which Kennedy was also diagnosed with around the same time. When the brain worm story became public in May of this year, the independent presidential candidate claimed that he did not know for certain where he contracted the parasite. However, he acknowledged it may have been during a 2010 trip to South Asia.

Last year, Kennedy sent a photo from his 2010 trip to a friend traveling to Asia. In the photo, the independent presidential candidate can be seen with an unidentified woman holding a barbequed animal, alleged to be a dog. Kennedy reportedly accompanied the image with his recommendation of a South Korean restaurant serving dog meat, suggesting he had partaken.

The photo’s recipient says they were horrified by the image. They added, however, that the 2024 independent presidential candidate was prone to texting tasteless and offensive images to friends—including voyeuristic nude photos of women.

Parasitic worms can be passed from canines to humans through means other than dog meat consumption—such as contact with feces. However, a 2001 study from Henan Medical University in China found that several large-scale outbreaks of parasitic worm infections in the country could be directly attributed to dog meat consumption.

Kennedy insists the image actually shows a barbequed goat, and that it was taken in Latin America.
