Federal Govt and Soros Managed ‘Independent’ Media Together After the Cold War.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Documents confirm that U.S.-funded “independent media” in Europe was co-managed with George Soros’s Open Society Institute during the post-Soviet transition.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM), Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, George Soros’s Open Society Institute, and Open Media Research Institute (OMRI).

📍WHEN & WHERE: 1994–1997, Central and Eastern Europe; financial disclosures from 2023.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Yep, that’s right, our government co-founded the research arm for ‘independent media’ in Europe alongside George Soros – an arrangement that was in place for several years.” — Jennica Pounds, a.k.a. “Data Republican”

🎯IMPACT: Confirms decades-long entanglement between U.S. federal media operations and the Soros network’s influence campaigns in former communist nations.

IN FULL

In the 1990s, George Soros’s Open Society Institute partnered with Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL)—a U.S. government-funded “independent” broadcaster—to establish the Open Media Research Institute (OMRI). This joint venture, headquartered in the Czech capital of Prague, took over the analytical responsibilities of RFE/RL’s dissolved Research Institute and operated from 1994 to 1997.

Archival material highlighted by software engineer Jennica Pounds, known by her X (formerly Twitter) handle @DataRepublican, confirms that OMRI’s work fed directly into RFE/RL’s reporting. OMRI’s Information Services Department ran multiple archives and compiled intelligence on post-Soviet and Eastern European developments. These documents were later deposited with the Vera and Donald Blinken Open Society Archives, named after the father of Antony Blinken, the Secretary of State under President Joe Biden.

At the same time, RFE/RL—classified as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and operating under EIN 52-1068522—was and still is funded by the U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM). In FY2023, RFE/RL disclosed receiving over $167.7 million in federal funds, of which $167.5 million came from USAGM. No subrecipients were listed for any of the funds.

The financial structure of this arrangement reveals a long-running public-private fusion between U.S. federal messaging efforts and Soros-backed information infrastructure, operating under the guise of “independent journalism.” These ties remain relevant today, as RFE/RL continues broadcasting into Europe and beyond while relying entirely on U.S. taxpayer dollars.

The Blinken Archives formally processed and revised these records in 2003. The archival listing directly states that OMRI was the institutional successor to RFE/RL’s internal analysis unit, and its funding and staffing were heavily integrated with Soros-backed foundations during its entire operation.

Under the Trump administration, the Senior Advisor to USAGM, Kari Lake, has moved to aggressively cut back the agency’s staff and budget, saying, “For decades, American taxpayers have been forced to bankroll an agency that’s been riddled with dysfunction, bias, and waste. That ends now.”

House Republicans are also investigating USAGM for years of alleged visa abuses and potential infiltration by foreign spies.

WATCH: Pro-Hamas Demonstrators Heckle Blinken During Gaza Ceasefire Briefing.

The Biden government’s Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, was repeatedly heckled by pro-Hamas protestors during a press conference on Tuesday laying out details regarding a pending ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Islamic terror group that controls Gaza. Blinken, in addition, laid out plans for the rebuilding and future governance of the Gaza territory once hostilities between Hamas and Israel conclude.

While Blinken was speaking, a protester interrupted, accusing him of having a legacy tied to genocide. The protester loudly shouted, “Secretary Blinken, your legacy will be genocide. You will forever be known as Bloody Blinken, Secretary of Genocide. You have the blood of hundreds of thousands of innocent people on your hands.” Blinken responded by acknowledging the protester, meekly stating, “Thank you. I respect your views; please allow me to share mine.”

Since the outbreak of war between Israel and Hamas following the latter’s barbaric October 7, 2023 terrorist attacks against the Jewish State, pro-Hamas protestors have repeatedly targeted Biden government officials over their perceived support for Israel. Anger at leading national Democrats over what far-left activists call a genocide in Gaza likely cost Vice President Kamala Harris thousands of votes in Michigan—a critical swing state—during the 2024 presidential election.

A CEASEFIRE DEAL?

Blinken’s plan suggests a collaborative approach involving both local and international stakeholders in the governance and restoration of Gaza. The proposed framework aims to address immediate humanitarian needs while laying the groundwork for longer-term stability. However, it is unlikely Israel or Hamas will take up the Biden government plan, with President-elect Donald J. Trump slated to assume control of the White House in less than a week.

Meanwhile, the tentative framework of a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas appears to clear the way for an exchange of prisoners and hostages held by the two factions. President-elect Trump has declared the release of the remaining hostages held by Hamas to be paramount, suggesting if they fail to return the individuals held since late 2023, the repercussions would be dire.

Biden State Dept Rushing to Enact DEI Initiatives in Embassies Before Trump Inauguration.

The U.S. State Department, under the leadership of Secretary of State Antony Blinken, has issued a diplomatic cable that outlines new initiatives promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within the agency. Dated November 19, the internal cable emphasizes initiatives including establishing “reflection rooms” and “all-gender restrooms” at American embassies abroad.

Circulated to all diplomatic and consular posts, the cable forms part of the Biden-Harris government’s broader efforts to entrench DEI initiatives within the federal government before President-elect Donald J. Trump takes office in January. The message details the establishment of reflection rooms in both domestic and overseas facilities and encourages facility managers to identify opportunities for repurposing existing restrooms.

The initiatives are part of Blinken’s so-called Modernization Agenda, which advocates for a resilient and inclusive work environment. Specific processes are recommended for modifying restrooms while considering host country customs and norms.

The State Department has invested approximately $80 million in programs to advance racial equity and tackle supposed gender and sexuality discrimination. Internal discussions among career officials at the State Department are believed to be ongoing regarding preserving DEI initiatives against moves by President-elect Trump to end the radical, leftist programs.

Palestinians Sue State Department Over U.S. Military Aid to Israel.

Palestinians are suing the U.S. Department of State over the Biden-Harris government’s supply of military aid to Israel for its ongoing military campaign against the Hamas terrorist group in the Gaza Strip. The lawsuit, which was filed in a U.S. federal court on Tuesday, alleges the American government is allowing Israel to circumvent a series of U.S. human rights laws enacted by former Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT) in 1997. According to the “Leahy Laws,” the United States cannot grant foreign military aid to a country if there is evidence of human rights abuses.

“My surviving family members in Gaza have been forcibly displaced four times since October, living in constant fear of indiscriminate Israeli attacks carried out with American weapons,” one of the plaintiffs, a Palestinian-American, said in a statement. “The U.S. government’s military assistance to these abusive Israeli forces, which our own laws prohibit, is enabling these Israeli harms to me and my family,” he added.

‘DOUBLE STANDARD.’

The plaintiffs in the case contend the U.S. is engaging in a double standard by supplying Israel with military aid. In the legal filing, they claim it is “reasonable to assess” that the Jewish State—using American-supplied weapons—violated international law in the course of its military operations in Gaza. These violations, they argue, should trigger the Leahy Laws, barring any further support. Hamas-aligned Gaza health officials claim 45,000 Palestinians have died in the conflict. However, Israel has consistently claimed its military has made every effort to minimize civilian casualties.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken continues to maintain that the allegations of a double standard in how the U.S. treats Israel compared to other nations are unfounded. In May, the Department of State—in a report to Congress—claimed insufficient evidence existed to trigger the Leahy Laws. The report did state, however, that the department continues to monitor Israel’s compliance with both the foreign military aid statute and international human rights laws.

The U.S. government has allocated approximately $17.9 billion in military aid to Israel since the start of the country’s war against Hamas over a year ago.

Tucker Interview with Russian Foreign Minister Claims Communication Shut Down Between Russia and U.S.

Tucker Carlson has announced the upcoming release of an interview with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, claiming all communication between Russia and the U.S. has been severed. Carlson says he and Lavrov spoke on the prevention of nuclear disaster, Russia’s informal ties with China, and the potential escalation to an “unprecedented conflict” between Russia and the United States. He also asks the Russian Foreign Minister about the impact of President-elect Donald J. Trump’s potential election on ending the war.

In a video from Moscow’s Red Square, Carlson criticized the Biden-Harris regime’s role in Ukraine, claiming it has escalated the U.S. towards a nuclear confrontation with Russia.

Carlson alleges the U.S. is engaged in a “hot war” with Russia—largely unknown to Americans—and criticizes Washington’s lack of communication with Moscow.

Last month, the Biden-Harris regime gave permission for the Ukrainians to use American long-range missiles to strike targets deep within Russia. Russian President Vladimir Putin had previously stated that because the missile systems required NATO help to operate, such attacks would be tantamount to an act of war against Russia.

Carlson referenced the strain on U.S.-Russia relations, suggesting it has reached a critical point not seen since the Cuban Missile Crisis, and accused Secretary of State Antony Blinken of ceasing all bilateral contacts.

Pentagon spokesman Major General Patrick Ryder insists that a military hotline between Russia and the U.S. is in use to prevent miscalculations.

Other NATO member states also appear to be preparing for an escalation to the conflict, including Germany, which is preparing businesses for war and looking at creating emergency nuclear bunkers.

The interview with Lavrov comes just a year after Carlson interviewed President Putin, who described the history of Russia and Ukraine to explain the background of the ongoing war.

CENSURED: 10 Dems Turn on Biden-Harris Regime Over Afghan Withdrawal Debacle.

Ten Democrats have turned on the Biden-Harris regime to support a Republican motion to censure officials over the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. The resolution passed in the House by a vote of 219 to 194. Democrats who supported the measure included Reps. Jared Golden (D-ME), Mary Peltola (D-AK), Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-WA), Vicente Gonzalez (D-TX), Greg Landsman (D-OH), and Jeff Jackson (D-NC).

House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX) introduced the bill, which followed a yearslong investigation into the disastrous withdrawal. McCaul stresses that the government has failed to hold anyone accountable for the operation, which he describes as “one of the most devastating foreign policy blunders in American history.”

He argues that officials prioritized appearances over security, causing the deaths of 13 U.S. servicemembers in an attack in Kabul.

The resolution mentions 15 current or former members of the Biden-Harris regime. President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, and Secretary of State Antony Blinken are all mentioned.

McCaul is also spearheading efforts to hold Secretary Blinken in contempt for obstructing the investigation and not appearing at the committee when subpoenaed. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) will consider the resolution after a six-week recess.

Most regard the U.S. withdrawal during the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan as a disaster. Historian Victor Davis Hanson called it the “greatest humiliation since Saigon.”

“We left our allies hanging without notice. We left thousands of American contractors, tens of thousands of sympathetic Afghans who were murdered or are sought out,” he said.

Biden-Harris Secretary of State Faces Congressional Contempt Charge.

House Republicans are pushing to hold Secretary of State Antony Blinken in contempt of Congress and formally denounce other BidenHarris officials over the disastrous August 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistan. The House Foreign Affairs Committee subpoenaed Blinken on September 3 to appear for testimony this Tuesday, but he did not attend.

Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX) adjourned the meeting noting that Blinken was not in attendance and that he would be pursuing charges of contempt of Congress for defying a congressional subpoena. The Foreign Affairs Committee noted in its contempt resolution report, released Monday, that Blinken’s subpoena had been rescheduled once before to accommodate his travel plans.

Contempt of Congress can result in fines up to $100,000 and imprisonment ranging from one month to one year. However, if Congress votes to hold someone in contempt, the Biden-Harris Justice Department (DOJ) must generally decide on prosecution.

The Biden-Harris DOJ most recently used the law against former White House chief strategist Stephen K. Bannon. The Donald J. Trump ally was imprisoned for four months for defying a congressional subpoena demanding he testify at the corrupt January 6 hearings, arguing President Trump had invoked executive privilege.

Blinken played a pivotal role in the retreat from Afghanistan, being the “principal decisionmaker” during the withdrawal. He was also blamed for keeping the U.S. Embassy in Kabul open too long and delaying a Noncombatant Evacuation Operation (NEO) request until the Taliban seized the capital.

House Republicans are also considering a resolution to condemn senior Biden regime officials over the withdrawal that led to 13 U.S. service members’ deaths in an Islamic State-Khorasan (ISIS-K) suicide bombing on August 26, 2021. The resolution could censure President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Blinken, and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, among others.

FLASHBACK: CIA Official Admits ‘Biden World Asked For’ Letter from 51 Intel Officials Blasting Hunter’s Hard Drive as Russian Propaganda.

The letter signed by 51 former intelligence officials just before the 2020 presidential election dismissing the contents of Hunter Biden‘s laptop as Russian disinformation was drafted at the behest of the Biden campaign, according to one of its signatories. Marc Polymeropoulos, a former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) official, testified before three House committees last year that he was told by former deputy CIA Director Michael Morell “that someone from kind of the Biden world had asked for this.”

Polymeropoulos, who once headed the agency’s operations for Europe and Eurasia, helped Morell draft the infamous letter and served as one of its signatories. At the time, testimony from Morell suggested that then-Biden campaign advisor Antony Blinken was the individual ‘Biden world’ who made the ask.

CIA CLEARED LAPTOP LETTER.

Both Morell and Polymeropoulos’s 2023 testimony adds concerning context to new revelations detailed in a report issued by the House Committee on the Judiciary, Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, and Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. According to the three committees, CIA officials—likely including then-CIA Director Gina Haspel—reviewed and cleared the letter and its contents.

Additionally, Congressional investors say internal CIA emails reveal agency officials were aware that active contractors were signatories at the time—a potential violation of the Hatch Act. The statute prohibits federal employees and contractors from engaging in partisan political activities in their official capacity. In the emails, CIA officials expressed concerns over the political nature of the letter and its potential long-term impact on the agency’s reputation.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and attorneys with the Department of Justice (DOJ) have subsequently confirmed that the Hunter Biden laptop was authentic and not a product of Russian disinformation. The National Pulse reported earlier this month that none of the 51 officials who signed the 2020 letter would recant its false accusations.

WATCH: UK’s Lord Cameron Lauds Lindsay Graham, Demands More Pressure on Trump Over Ukraine During PRANK Call!

Lord David Cameron, the British Foreign Secretary and former Prime Minister, was caught on camera urging a man he thought was a former Ukrainian prime minister to lobby U.S. Congressional Republicans and former President Donald J. Trump against negotiating a peace deal between Ukraine and Russia.

“The most important thing, if you have any connection to Trump—the most important thing to get across to Trump, is that the Putin of today is far more extreme than the one that you were dealing with at the time of Minsk,” Lord Cameron can be heard saying during the conversation with Russian pranksters.

The British Foreign Secretary added: “I think we have to convince Trump of this. Trump thinks there’s some easy deal to make. And that’s not the case because Putin wants so much more.”

Lord Cameron continued: “I think that Trump needs to understand that.”

UKRAINE LOBBYING CONGRESS.

Later in the conversation, Cameron again urges that Ukrainian officials leverage any contacts they have in the Republican Party to push for further aid and U.S. support against Russia. Lord Cameron specifically named Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who he described as “pro-Ukraine.” More importantly, the British Foreign Secretary said, “…we’ve got to try and work out which ones are on the margins and which ones can be convinced.” He concluded: “Because that will all have an impact.”

LORD CAMERON LIED?

The British Foreign Secretary appears to have been duped by Russian pranksters into believing he was conversing with former Ukrainian prime minister Petro Poroshenko. Lord Cameron’s conversation raises concerns regarding the British—a long-standing U.S. ally—encouraging former Ukranian officials to engage in foreign influence operations in Washington, D.C.

In April, Cameron denied meeting with U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson ahead of a pivotal Ukraine aid funding vote in Congress. The National Pulse reported at the time that Cameron acknowledged meeting with Secretary of State Antony Blinken and former President Trump but claimed he did not meet with Johnson regarding Ukraine. However, his unwitting conversation with the Russian prankers contradicts this claim. Lord Cameron appears to acknowledge speaking with Johnson, Trump, and Blinken.

Escalation: Biden Encourages Zelensky to Strike Russia with U.S. Weapons.

Joe Biden is authorizing Ukraine to use American-supplied weapons to strike inside Russia near the Kharkov (Kharkiv) region. His decision represents a significant escalation of the West’s proxy war with Russia as it gains the upper hand over Ukraine.

The Biden regime agreed to this change amid increasing pressure from NATO allies and deteriorating conditions on the Ukrainian battlefield. The British representative at a NATO meeting in Bulgaria recently complained, “We have to admit that Ukraine is losing this war,” saying the West could not “continue to tell Ukraine not to fire its [Western] missiles at Russia.”

“The President recently directed his team to ensure that Ukraine is able to use U.S. weapons for counter-fire purposes in Kharkiv so Ukraine can hit back at Russian forces hitting them or preparing to hit them,” confirmed an anonymous U.S. official. For now, instructions that U.S. weapons should not be used for long-range strikes inside Russia remain unchanged — excepting Crimea and more recently annexed Ukrainian territories, which the West does not recognize as part of Russia.

In recent months, Ukrainian forces have been getting ground down in the Donbass (Donbas) regions of Donetsk and Luhansk by Russia’s superior artillery and manpower. They have also been stretched thin by a new Russian offensive in the Kharkov region, which has seized swathes of territory along the border.

Britain has also authorized the use of its long-range Storm Shadow missiles against Russia, according to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. Germany authorized the use of German-supplied weapons for the same purposes.

Russian leader Vladimir Putin has previously warned of “major consequences” should NATO enable long-range strikes inside Russia.
