Judge Denies Motions to Dismiss Charges Against Hunter Biden.

U.S. District Judge Mark Scarsi denied several motions seeking to dismiss the tax evasion charges against President Biden’s son, Hunter Biden. Biden is facing three felony and six misdemeanor tax-related charges, for which he has pleaded not guilty. Scarsi rejected all eight motions Biden’s legal team filed in an 82-page order.

Last week, Biden’s defense attorneys presented numerous legal arguments for dismissing the charges entirely or at least in part. One of the claims made by the defense team contended that the sweetheart plea deal — which fell apart late last year after several of its provisions were revoked by another federal judge — remained valid. They argued that if the deal’s conditions were met, the charges against Biden should be dropped. Biden’s attorneys also pushed arguments that special counsel David Weiss was improperly appointed and thus could not prosecute the case, as well as insisting that President Joe Biden‘s Department of Justice selectively targeted his son.

Judge Scarsi, however, found all these arguments unconvincing. Regarding the claim of selective prosecution, he stated the defense team “fails to present a reasonable inference, let alone clear evidence, of discriminatory effect and discriminatory purpose.” Scarsi also disregarded an additional claim that comments made by Congressional Republicans affected the integrity of the prosecution.

Responding to the judge’s ruling, Hunter Biden’s attorney, Abbe Lowell, said: “We strongly disagree with the Court’s decision and will continue to vigorously pursue Mr. Biden’s challenges to the abnormal way the Special Counsel handled this investigation and charged this case.”

In addition to the tax charges, Hunter Biden is facing federal charges relating to firearm possession while using narcotics, with a trial date set for June. Biden continues to plead not guilty to all charges.

House Impeachment Inquiry Zeros In On Biden Family Selling Access to Joe.

House Republicans are set to open the next phase of their impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden with a new round of Congressional hearings. Wednesday’s hearing will focus on allegations that the Biden family made significant profits through selling access to Joe Biden. Several of Hunter Biden’s previous business partners will testify before the Congressional panel regarding their first-hand knowledge of the Biden family’s scheme.

The House Oversight Committee has spent extensive time gathering information and reviewing Biden family documents behind closed doors and is now preparing to present at least two witnesses who were previously Hunter Biden’s business associates. Both Tony Bobulinski and Jason Galanis will testify before the committee. Devon Archer also received a request to appear but is not expected to testify as of Wednesday morning.

“Evidence obtained in the House of Representatives’ impeachment inquiry reveals Joe Biden knew about, participated in, and benefited from his family cashing in on the Biden name. Multiple witnesses have testified Joe Biden allowed his family to sell him as ‘the brand’ around the world to enrich the Biden family,” Rep. James Comer (R-KY), who chairs the Oversight Committee, said in prepared remarks released before the hearing.

Despite an invitation to attend, Hunter Biden’s legal counsel has indicated he will not appear before the committee on Wednesday. In response to Biden’s absence, Reps. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) are pushing for a subpoena to compel his in-person testimony in future public hearings.

NeoCon ‘Free Beacon’ Blog Plagiarizes 3-Year-Old National Pulse Hunter Biden Scoop.

The neoconservative Washington Free Beacon and its “reporter” Chuck Ross have falsely claimed that meetings between President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, and Chinese businessman Patrick Ho were “previously undisclosed” despite The National Pulse scooping the story three years ago.

The National Pulse’s editor-in-chief Raheem Kassam reported at the time that Hunter Biden had traveled to Hong Kong and met with Ho — an executive with CEFC China Energy and a suspected Chinese spy — after obtaining exclusive audio of Biden admitting to the meetings.

Hunter Biden’s admission was contained in an audio file named “Most Genius Shit Ever.” In the recording, he references his meetings with Ho, describing him as a “spy chief of China.” Biden also discusses his concerns over the disappearance of his business partner at CEFC, Ye Jianming.

Last month, Jim Biden — brother of President Joe Biden — referenced the meetings between Ho and Hunter Biden during testimony as part of the House Republicans’ impeachment inquiry. Jim Biden said he traveled to Hong Kong with his nephew several weeks after CEFC had paid $5 million to both Bidens.

Jim Biden testified that he joined his nephew for lunch with Ho. After lunch, Jim Biden said that Ho requested a private meeting with Hunter Biden. At the time, Ho was being surveilled by the US government due to suspicion that he was an international spy. The nature of the relationship between Hunter Biden and the Chinese energy firm has sparked potential national security concerns regarding members of the Biden family.

The Washington Free Beacon is funded by billionaire Paul Singer. It is best known for being the progenitor of the Russia hoax, initially supporting the notorious Fusion GPS, which went on to create the “dossier” on Donald Trump, which led to the attempted nullification of his first term in office.

James Biden Confirms Chinese Origin of $40K Check He Wrote To His Brother, President Joe Biden.

James Biden, the brother of President Joe Biden, acknowledged during his recent impeachment inquiry testimony that he had written a $40,000 check to former Vice President Joe Biden in 2017 using funds obtained from a company with alleged links to the Chinese government. During the February 21st interview with Members of Congress, James Biden admitted that the funds originated from Beijing-controlled CEFC China Energy.

Bank records subpoenaed for the investigation showed just $46.88 remaining in James Biden’s bank account before he received a $50,000 payment, days before the $40,000 check went to his brother Joe. The source of the $50,000 was traced back to Lion Hall Group, an entity owned by James Biden. His lawyer, Paul Fishman, argued that tracing the exact origin of the money was complicated due to its fungible nature.

Evidence was presented that, between November 2022 and July 2023, James Biden received $840,000 in four separate transfers from Argentinian businessman Jose Luis Manzano. According to Biden, the amount was paid for half of his stake in Manzano’s holdings in Argentinian natural gas company Metrogas. Manzano had tasked James Biden with managing an effort to attract Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim to invest in Argentina’s 4G network. Slim ultimately declined Biden’s investment offer.

The impeachment inquiry testimony also shed light on additional international business schemes by James Biden. He disclosed that in 2018, he made a $200,000 loan repayment to Joe Biden using funds obtained from financially distressed rural hospital company Americore. James Biden said he used the loan from his brother to secure investment from Qatar for infrastructure projects, including hotel construction in Miami.

REPORT: Biden Genetically Predisposed To Getting Away With It.

George Washington University Law School faculty member Jonathan Turley has alleged in an opinion piece for The Hill that criminality from Biden and his family may be a trait inherited through generations.

Turley linked this trait to a relative of Biden, Moses Robinette, a government contractor during the Civil War, who was sentenced to two years of hard labor for attempted murder. According to Turley, Robinette was eventually pardoned through the influence of friends and political allies, arguing to then-President Lincoln that he was opposing traitors.

From Turley:

“Robinette was found guilty at trial, severely cut an unarmed man, but was freed with the help of a U.S. senator with a plea that he was a loyal political ally.

“Whatever the true merits, it showed the importance of having friends in high places. Or, as the president once put it more bluntly, “No one f**ks with a Biden.” It is family scripture that runs from Moses to James to Joseph.

“One hundred sixty years later, Moses’s great-great-grandson was found by a special counsel to have willfully retained classified material, mishandled that material for decades, and to have probably shown the classified material to a ghostwriter who lacked clearance. He was spared any criminal charge in part because he would make a sympathetic defendant due to his diminished mental faculties.”

Despite Republican prompts for proceedings, President Biden faces a shrinking impeachment threat concerning allegations of corruption and bribery. His son, Hunter Biden, has been called to testify in the impeachment inquiry, however, both parties deny allegations of misconduct.

Hunter Biden Files Motion to Dismiss Gun Charge Indictments.

Lawyers on behalf of President Joe Biden‘s troubled son, Hunter, have filed several motions in a federal court to dismiss the charges brought against him in Delaware earlier this year.

Hunter’s legal team argued the charges, brought against him in September over a 2018 firearm purchase while he was still taking drugs, are “unprecedented, unconstitutional” and contravene the “sweeping immunity” of the diversion agreement  signed by the United States Department of Justice in July this year.

They also said the diversion agreement, which stopped him from purchasing or possessing a firearm and demanded he refrain from substance or alcohol use, remains binding and legally valid.

Another motion states the law used against Hunter is likely “unconstitutional” because prosecutors could not prove he was taking drugs when he bought a firearm. They cited the case of United States v. Daniels, which argues a sober individual can buy a gun in spite of previous drug abuse.

Hunter’s counsel went on to suggest Special Counsel David Weiss, appointed by former President Donald Trump in Delaware, was unlawfully appointed. “Not only did the Attorney General disregard the regulation requiring appointment of a Special Counsel from outside of the government; the Attorney General did not even select a Special Counsel from outside his own agency,” they claimed.

They added the charges represent “selective and vindictive prosecution” against Hunter Biden, with the Special Counsel succumbing to “political pressure to bring more severe charges.”

The charges are separate from the nine indictments on unpaid federal taxes brought against him last week.

Biden Used Pseudonymous Email To Communicate With Hunter’s Business Partner.

The House Republican impeachment inquiry into allegations President Joe Biden abused public office to enrich his family has uncovered evidence the then-Vice President used pseudonymous email accounts to communicate with his son Hunter Biden’s business partner Eric Schwerin. Over a ten-year period Biden sent 327 messages to Schwerin and Hunter – as well as others – using his “RobertLPeters” email account. During that time, Biden held public office as a United States Senator and then as Vice President in the Obama administration.

While on the presidential campaign trail in 2019, Biden repeatedly denied allegations he was involved with Hunter’s foreign business dealings while also serving as Vice-President. When asked specifically if he discussed Ukrainian interests with his son during the October 22, 2020 presidential debate, Biden responded: “I never discussed a single thing with my son about anything having do with Ukraine. No one has indicated I have. We’ve always kept everything separate.”

According to the House impeachment investigators, meta data shows the frequency of email exchanges between Schwerin and Joe Biden increased when the then-Vice President was traveling to or returning form Ukraine. The content of the communications between Biden and Schwerin remains unknown at the moment.

Evidence for Biden’s email communications was uncovered by the two IRS whistleblowers, Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler. The two men used the public contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop to run a search for emails between the known Joe Biden alias “Robert L Peters” and Hunter Biden. They were able to uncover meta data identifying who President Biden was communication with but not the content of the emails themselves.

House Impeachment Inquiry Concludes President Biden’s DOJ Impeded Investigation Into Hunter Biden.

House of Representatives committees leading the impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden have published an interim staff report concluding Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ) attempted to control and impede the Internal Revenue Service’s tax crime investigation of his son Hunter. The report serves to address just one of the three lines of investigation the committees opened nearly three months ago.

According to the report, “…the Justice Department afforded Hunter Biden—the President’s son—preferential treatment throughout its investigation of his numerous alleged crimes… then sought to cover up its actions after two courageous IRS agents stepped forward to blow the whistle on the Department’s deviations from its investigative standards.”

The committees state Biden appointees “exercised significant oversight and control over the investigation,” adding Special Counsel David Weiss “…did not have ‘ultimate authority’ over the Hunter Biden case.”

“[DOJ} officials slow-walked the investigation, informed defense counsel of future investigative actions, prevented line investigators from taking otherwise ordinary investigative steps, and even allowed the statute of limitations to expire on the most serious potential charges,” House investigators reported. They went on to add the actions undertaken by the DOJ were “unprecedented” and “conflicted with standard operating procedure” – and evidentiary of an effort to engineer a politically favorable outcome for President Joe Biden and his family.

The report details evidence indicating the DOJ likely would not have moved forward with a criminal prosecution of Hunter Biden had IRS whistleblowers not come forward and exposed the Department’s slow-walking of the tax crime investigation. The evidence of DOJ and FBI stonewalling efforts is further corroborated by testimony given to the House Judiciary Committee by FBI officials which indicated no significant progress had been made in Weiss’s investigation in October of 2022.

The House committees believe the DOJ was forced to renew its investigation after IRS whistleblowers came forward in April 2023. This culminatied with Attorney General Merrick Garland announcing the appointment of Weiss as special counsel on August 8, 2023.

In addition to DOJ interference, the interim staff report contends attempts by Hunter Biden’s lawyers to influence the DOJ towards investigating witnesses against him is demonstrative of “the extent to which Hunter Biden believes it[sic] can influence the investigation in a manner favorable to him.” House investigators reiterated concerns over how closely the DOJ worked with Hunter Biden’s lawyers in crafting the ‘sweetheart‘ plea deal later rejected by a federal judge.

A formal vote to adopt the impeachment inquiry is expected next week.

‘OPENLY AUTHORITARIAN’ – Media Panic Intensifies As Trump 2nd Term Looks Likely.

Left-wing media is panicking at the prospect of Donald Trump winning the 2024 presidential election because the former President intends to curb the power of federal agencies such as the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) as well as launch investigations into the Biden family‘s dubious financial affairs.

A report published in the Guardian has raised the possibility of Trump’s second term being “openly authoritarian” and a throwback to either 1970s Latin America or 1930s Europe – a comparison used both before Trump was elected in 2016 and throughout his first presidential term.

“I’m hard pressed to find any candidates anywhere who are so open that they would use the power of the state to go after critics and enemies,” argues Harvard professor Steven Levitsky, who, however, fails to comment on the 91 indictments filed against the former President.

“This is one of the most openly authoritarian campaigns I’ve ever seen,” he adds.

The report is similarly spooked by the prospect of “Project 2025,” which aims to replace federal employees inside agencies like the FBI and DOJ and branches of government such as the Department of Homeland Security and Education with conservative-minded individuals.

It is suggested even former DOJ officials are “appalled” by the project. Donald Ayer, a former U.S. Deputy Attorney General, says, “Project 2025 seems to be full of a whole array of ideas that are designed to let Donald Trump function as a dictator, by completely eviscerating many of the restraints built into our system.”

Others are concerned that Trump would pardon January 6 protestors like Jacob Chansley, who was released early from federal prison after it was shown by Tucker Carlson that he was escorted into the U.S. Capitol by police officers. Trump is “promising them pardons for the insurrection. This is about giving power to an autocrat and letting his id take over,” asserts Columbia University researcher and CNN historian Timothy Naftali.

The 45th President is storming ahead of incumbent President Joe Biden in the polls less than 12 months before the 2024 presidential election. Trump is currently on course to receive over 300 Electoral College votes, way above the required 270 to become President.

How Media Matters, Trying to Bankrupt ‘X’, is Linked to Biden & the Plot to Stop Trump.

Joe Biden‘s Super PAC, Unite the Country, was recently led by a former aide to the President, who in addition to having involvement in Hunter Biden’s business deals, is also linked to Media Matters for America, the Soros-backed “news” site currently attempting to bankrupt Elon Musk’s X (formerly Twitter).

In the first half of 2023, Unite the Country disbursed over $60,000 for “fundraising consulting” to Prairie Avenue Advisors LLC, a Chicago-based company registered to Mark Doyle, who served as a senior adviser to Biden in the Senate, as well as the national finance director of Biden’s 2008 presidential bid. He later became chairman of Unite the Country.

Unite the Country has also joined forces with another Democratic Super PAC called American Bridge Group to form a $175 million anti-Trump coalition.

American Bridge Group was founded by conservative activist-turned-liberal henchman David Brock in November 2010. Brock, now labeled “one of the most influential political operatives in the Democratic Party,” also founded Media Matters in 2004.

The relationship between Media Matters and American Bridge is explicit, and extends beyond merely sharing an office in Washington D.C..

The pair are intertwined via their “Strategic Plan for Action” to fight the 45th U.S. President, which asserts, “We are going to resist the normalization of Donald Trump. His every conflict of interest, his every bit of cronyism, his every move toward authoritarianism, his every subversion of our democratic systems and principles, his every radical departure from foreign and domestic policy norms.”

Mark Doyle and Hunter Biden.

Doyle, who was also registered as a foreign agent on behalf of the Serbian government during Joe Biden’s stint as Vice President, exchanged multiple emails with Hunter Biden in which they discussed potential business dealings with the then-Serbian prime Minister Boris Tadic and other “high net worth” Serbians.

Doyle wrote to Hunter in 2010, “I think you mentioned that you spoke to them about putting you in front of high net worth individuals and they are ready to do that, and to have you meet Tadic as well. I am going there with Milan in May, and I think they are looking for you to join.”

Hunter responded several hours later, remarking that “Markie in the Middle” would be the name of the “reality show” he would produce before expressing interest in meeting high-profile Serbians. “How about we go over around May 10th. JRB will be in Madrid and I can catch a ride with him and fly over to Serbia and back with you.”

The two also corresponded with Eric Schwerin, a founding partner of Hunter’s now-dissolved firm Rosemont Seneca Partners, who visited the White House no less than 27 times during the Obama administration. Schwerin is widely considered to have been instrumental in Hunter’s expansion into China, from which the entire Biden family financially profited, as was recently established by the House Oversight and Accountability Committee.

While recent Media Matters aggression towards Elon Musk and his X platform may at first seem arbitrary, the moves are evidently part of a wider attempt to muzzle American conservatives and restrict free speech: a critical weapon in the arsenal of Biden regime dissidents.
