Utah Senator Mitt Romney, in a recent interview, warned President Joe Biden against using the January 6 Capitol attack in his campaign against Donald Trump, deeming it a “dead political horse.”
“Jan 6 will be four years old by the election. People have processed it, one way or another,” he said. “Biden needs fresh material, a new attack, rather than kicking a dead political horse,” Romney said in an interview with The New York Times.
Romney, who is retiring from the Senate this year, has been a consistent critic of Trump and voted to convict the 45th President in both impeachment trials.
The Utah Senator’s comments come as President Biden has made Trump’s alleged support for “insurrection” a key theme of his campaign. “Donald Trump’s campaign is about him, not America. Not you. Donald Trump’s campaign is obsessed with the past, not the future. He’s willing to sacrifice our democracy [to] put himself in power,” Biden said in a speech on Friday.
Romney recently described himself as a “turd in the punch bowl” for a biography of himself which failed to attract any interest.

The House Judiciary and Oversight Committees released reports on Monday recommending that Hunter Biden be held in contempt of Congress for his “flagrant defiance” of a Congressional subpoena related to the impeachment inquiry of President Joe Biden.
Hunter Biden “must be held accountable for his unlawful actions,” read the reports, echoing a joint statement by Oversight Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-Kentucky) and Judiciary Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) issued last week, which said that Hunter Biden’s defiance of Congress “warrants referral to the appropriate United States Attorney’s Office for prosecution.”
Should the Republican-led committees pass the resolutions to hold Hunter Biden in contempt, a full House vote will be triggered. The lower chamber, which is controlled by a slim Republican majority, could then vote to refer the case to the Department of Justice, which would ultimately decide whether or not to pursue criminal charges against Biden.

President Joe Biden’s address to the Mother Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina on Monday was interrupted by Pro-Palestinian protesters chanting “ceasefire now.”
During his speech, a protestor began asking why the President had done nothing to stop the “genocide” in “Palestine”, before a number of people broke into a chant of “ceasefire now.”
Within moments, the protesters were ushered out, as congregants began chanting, “four more years,” in an attempt to drown out the critics.
Biden’s speech was mostly a rehash of his January 5th Valley Forge address, where he peddled several lies about his political opponent Donald Trump.

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is orchestrating a “strategic plan” to exacerbate America’s fentanyl crisis impacting millions of Americans across the country to supplant the United States as the world’s leading power, former Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) director of special operations Derek Maltz Sr has suggested.
There is mounting evidence of China supplying Mexican cartels with chemicals to produce drugs destined for the United States, as well as increased drug manufacturing occurring across the country.
Only this month did President Joe Biden sign a deal with China that aims to limit the amount of Chinese-produced chemicals ending up in the hands of cartels south of the border. “It’s a global challenge that demands global action,” said Biden. Yet the 46th President thought twice before directly addressing the CCP on multiple nationwide drug manufacturing raids involving Chinese nationals or those of “Chinese descent.”
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a memo earlier this year, which posited that Chinese nationals are running at least 270 drug-growing operations in the state of Maine alone., bringing in an estimated $4.37 billion per annum. In June, the Department of Justice announced charges against China-based chemical manufacturing companies involved in the production of fentanyl.
“When you look at the [CCP], and you look at the role of China and their criminal networks in the overall drug crisis in America – because people are not connecting the dots – this is way bigger than just a bunch of, you know, illegally selling marijuana up in Maine,” Maltz explained.
“I’m just saying that from a strategic plan of the CCP, it’s a brilliant concept that if we can get into America and sell this very pure marijuana and destroy Americans’ brains, so then they go to pills and other drugs, that’s a brilliant, unrestricted warfare,” he continued.
“All over America, every day, Chinese nationals are picking up large sums of cash from the Mexican cartel operatives all over the country. And the cash is being turned over to Chinese businessmen who are using the cash to launder money for the cartels seamlessly,” Maltz explained, adding: “There was no doubt in my mind and speaking to experts who work in China, they said that nothing goes on without the CCPs approval.”

Left-wing media is panicking at the prospect of Donald Trump winning the 2024 presidential election because the former President intends to curb the power of federal agencies such as the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) as well as launch investigations into the Biden family‘s dubious financial affairs.
A reportpublished in the Guardian has raised the possibility of Trump’s second term being “openly authoritarian” and a throwback to either 1970s Latin America or 1930s Europe – a comparison used both before Trump was elected in 2016 and throughout his first presidential term.
“I’m hard pressed to find any candidates anywhere who are so open that they would use the power of the state to go after critics and enemies,” argues Harvard professor Steven Levitsky, who, however, fails to comment on the 91 indictments filed against the former President.
“This is one of the most openly authoritarian campaigns I’ve ever seen,” he adds.
The report is similarly spooked by the prospect of “Project 2025,” which aims to replace federal employees inside agencies like the FBI and DOJ and branches of government such as the Department of Homeland Security and Education with conservative-minded individuals.
It is suggested even former DOJ officials are “appalled” by the project. Donald Ayer, a former U.S. Deputy Attorney General, says, “Project 2025 seems to be full of a whole array of ideas that are designed to let Donald Trump function as a dictator, by completely eviscerating many of the restraints built into our system.”
Others are concerned that Trump would pardon January 6 protestors like Jacob Chansley, who was released early from federal prison after it was shown by Tucker Carlson that he was escorted into the U.S. Capitol by police officers. Trump is “promising them pardons for the insurrection. This is about giving power to an autocrat and letting his id take over,” asserts Columbia University researcher and CNN historian Timothy Naftali.
The 45th President is storming ahead of incumbent President Joe Biden in the polls less than 12 months before the 2024 presidential election. Trump is currently on course to receive over 300 Electoral College votes, way above the required 270 to become President.

The U.S. Defense Department plans to deploy two Iron Dome air defense batteries to Israel, along with additional missile interceptors, according to chief Pentagon spokesperson Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder. This follows President Biden’s recent emergency spending request of $4 billion to Congress for procurement of Iron Dome Defense System capabilities and David’s Sling short-range ballistic missile defense. The president’s request includes an additional $1.2 billion for research, development, test, and evaluation work on Iron Beam, a proposed laser upgrade to Iron Dome.
Ryder also revealed that the Pentagon has mobilized 900 personnel for deployment related to a Middle East mission. They will be assigned to Patriot and Terminal High Altitude Air Defense systems, though they will not be dispatched to Israel. The aim is to fortify regional deterrence efforts and bolster U.S. force protection capabilities.
The spokesman cited a series of attacks by Iran-backed groups on U.S. and coalition forces in Iraq and Syria between Oct. 17-26. These attacks, undertaking a mix of rockets and drones, resulted in minor injuries to 21 U.S. personnel, some of whom were diagnosed with traumatic brain injuries. All have since returned to duty. Ryder reinforced the right to self-defense but declined to reveal any potential U.S. response to the attacks. “We would do so at a time and place of our choosing,” he said.

An NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist National poll shows third-party candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. helping secure an easy victory for President Joe Biden over former President Donald Trump in a 2024 showdown. Since Kennedy announced his departure from the Democratic race to run as an independent, speculation has emerged about whom he would impact more negatively: Trump or Biden.
The poll suggests if Kennedy were to be factored into the election, Biden would emerge the winner with a seven point lead over Trump. The current poll results show Biden with 44 percent of the vote, followed by Trump with 37 percent, and Kennedy with 16 percent. Three percent remain undecided.
“Although it’s always tricky to assess the impact of a third-party candidate, right now Kennedy alters the equation in Biden’s favor.”

Among party preferences, the poll indicates Biden loses five percentage points among Democrats, while Trump loses ten points among Republicans when Kennedy is included on the ballot. The Biden government has informed banks and other financial institutions in the United States that they cannot reject credit claims made by illegal migrants due to their immigration status.
Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) warned banks of the unlawfulness of rejecting loans or credit applications because “consumers have reported being rejected for credit cards as well as for auto, student, personal and equipment loans because of their immigration status…”
The DOJ and CFPB have claimed denying finance to illegal migrants would constitute a breach of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (1974), which prohibits discrimination based on characteristics, including race, religion, sexual orientation, and national origin, among other things.
Financial institutions may only consider one’s immigration status when considering the “creditor’s right regarding repayment.” Creditors and lenders will break the law if they consider it in any other capacity as a result.
“Lenders should not deny people the opportunity to take out a loan to buy a home, build their businesses or otherwise pursue their financial goals because of unlawful bias and without regard to their actual ability to repay,” said the Assistant Attorney General of the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division, Kristen Clarke, in a statement.
This comes just months after Democrats in Illinois forced through legislation allowing illegal migrants to serve as police officers, despite federal law only permitting U.S. citizens to serve in the office.

President Donald J. Trump will open a new front on the wilful incompetence of the Biden regime in remarks set to be delivered on Monday afternoon in New Hampshire, The National Pulse can reveal.
Against the backdrop of a new war in the Middle East prompted by Hamas terrorism, Trump will blast Biden for “betraying” the State of Israel and emboldening the Mullahs in Tehran.
“When I was Commander in Chief, we reduced the Iranian economy to rubble, I withdrew from the disastrous Iran nuclear deal, imposed the toughest-ever sanctions on the regime, and imposed a strict travel ban to keep Radical Islamic Terrorists the hell out of our country,” Trump is expected to say.
“Joe Biden undid all of it, and gave billions of dollars to the world’s top sponsor of terror, tossing Israel to the bloodthirsty terrorists and jihadists.”
The news comes as Biden and his aides partied in the White House on Sunday night, drawing further criticisms of being out of touch with ordinary Americans and failing to meet the moment on the world stage.
In a policy announcement, Trump is expected to state: “We will cut off the money to Palestinian terrorists on day one. And we will re-impose the travel ban on terror-afflicted countries so that the bloodshed and killing we saw this week will never reach American soil.”
The former President is due to speak at 12pm in New Hampshire.
