President Joseph R. Biden has spent a whopping 360 days – 39 percent – of his presidency on vacation so far. The president’s time spent away from the White House and his presidential duties has increased from 25 percent of his time – a 56 percent jump in the last two years since The National Pulse last reported on the subject.
Biden spent last weekend sitting on a Delaware beach, and will stay on vacation for a total of ten days. He has admitted that he takes every opportunity possible to go on vacation, stating last year:
“Every time I get a chance, I go home to Delaware… You think I’m joking. I’m not.”
– President Joe Biden, 2023.
President Biden has also spent weeks staying in the homes of some of his largest donors, such as Bill and Connie Neville’s Virgin Islands property, and billionaire David Rubenstein’s Martha’s Vineyard compound.
Biden has often been away during international or domestic emergencies, choosing, for example, to vacation during the international crisis of the fall of Kabul in August 2021. His current holiday coincides with his son Hunter’s former business partner Devon Archer appearing for a closed-door interview with the House Oversight Committee.
