Foreign-born workers now account for roughly 19 percent of the U.S. labor force, an increase from 17.3 percent when Joe Biden took office, according to figures from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. The number of foreign-born workers reached an all-time high last year.
That number will grow even larger due to the Biden regime’s lax border policies. A recent analysis by the Congressional Budget Office projects that the number of foreign-born workers will increase by a further 1.7 million this year due to the surge in illegal aliens crossing the border.
The figures paint a sobering picture of the extent to which the Biden regime has allowed the border crisis to fester. Since Biden took office, well over 3 million illegal aliens have been released into the country.
A recent Gallup poll shows immigration is now Americans’ top concern for the first time since 2019, and a majority of Americans believe that the crisis at the southern border constitutes an invasion.
