Senator Vance: Ukraine Should Cede ‘Some Territory’ to ‘Stop the Killing.’

Republican Senator J.D. Vance argued Sunday that Ukraine should cede “some territory” to Russia in order to end the war. He explained that attempting to drive Russia back to Ukraine’s 1991 borders was unrealistic. He said Joe Biden must define tangible objectives if he wants Congress to approve $61 billion in aid.

“What’s in America’s best interest is to accept Ukraine is going to have to cede some territory to the Russians, and we need to bring this war to a close,” Vance said. “But when I think about the great human tragedy here, hundreds of thousands of Eastern Europeans innocent have been killed in this conflict… The thing that’s in our interest and in theirs is to stop the killing.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has already conceded a much-hyped counter-offensive against the Russians this year has failed.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán is slated to convene with Republicans in Washington on Monday. He will argue for an end to American military support for Ukraine, to bring Zelensky to the negotiating table.

DeSantis’s ‘Faith CEO’ Bob Vander Plaats Doesn’t Know When the Iowa Caucus Is.

Bob Vander Plaats, the Iowa evangelical political operative backing Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s campaign for the Republican presidential nomination, appeared to not even know when the Iowa Caucus was being held. In a now deleted post on X (formerly Twitter), Vander Plaats attempted to spin the newest Ann Selzer poll of Iowa claiming: “This poll shows Iowans have a choice on Caucus night, January 19… [Donald Trump] or [Ron DeSantis].” The 2024 Iowa Caucus is being held on January 15th not on the 19th.

Stylized the “Faith CEO” of Iowa, Vander Plaats has become one of the DeSantis campaign’s more visible surrogates in Iowa. The evangelical political leader publicly endorsed DeSantis for president after the Florida Governor’s campaign made sizable contributions to Vander Plaats’s Family Leader Foundation. Chris LaCivita, a senior advisor to former President Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, caught the error and in a post of his own drew attention to Vander Plaats’s careless and bewildering gaffe.

The impetus for the rushed and erroneous campaign spin from Vander Plaats was the newly released Des Moines Register/NBC News/Mediacom Iowa Poll showing former President Trump holding a commanding lead among Republican caucus-goers with 51-percent, an 8-percent increase from October. DeSantis is in a distant second at 19-percent, while Nikki Haley is close behind him at 16-percent. Ann Selzer, the gold standard for Iowa pollsters, conducted the survey.

This is the second public gaffe in a week made by the DeSantis campaign as it scrambles to make up ground in Iowa. On Friday, Casey DeSantis urged out-of-state activists to descend on Iowa and “be a part of the caucus” – seeming to imply they should vote. The Iowa GOP was forced to release a statement pointing out that only legal Iowa residents could vote in the caucus and reminded voters to bring a photo ID.

Tucker Challenges Fox with Subscription-Based ‘Tucker Carlson Network’.

Former Fox News presenter Tucker Carlson is launching his own subscription streaming service. The Tucker Carlson Network is expected to host five shows by the middle of the week, for $9 a month or $72 a year.

Fox broke ties with Carlson in the Spring, costing the corporation substantial sums of money. Rupert Murdoch had held as telephone call with Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky not long before the split. Some speculated Carlson’s open skepticism of U.S. involvement in the Ukraine war may have played a role in his ouster.

Until now, Carlson had continued to produce shows uploaded for free to Twitter, later X. Some content on the Tucker Carlson Network will still be free, supported by advertising revenue, but some will be for subscribers only.

Neil Patel, a former White House advisor and roommate of Carlson, will serve as the Tucker Carlson Network’s chief executive. Patel is also involved with the Daily Caller website known as a “chop shop” of establishment GOP clickbait. Justin Wells, Carlson’s executive producer at Fox, will serve as president.

Biden Govt Gives $573K to Group Spreading DisInfo About Israel-Gaza War.

The Biden government has allocated more than half a million U.S. taxpayer dollars towards MENAACTION Inc., a Virginia-based nonprofit accused of spreading disinformation about the Israel-Hamas war.

The State Department’s grant of $573,000 was initially aimed at protecting media and society from disinformation and educate Jordanian journalists on recognizing “fake news.”

Yet, co-founders Chris Aboukhaled and Mohammed Abu Dalhoum have both been implicated in promoting disputed claims of Israeli military action. This has prompted discussions on the administration’s ability to contain disinformation and its funding for groups allegedly voicing anti-Israel sentiments.

The funding of MENAACTION contributes to a broader initiative tackling widespread disinformation surrounding contested political matters.

Notably, the Department of Homeland Security established the Disinformation Governance Board in the previous year. The board was spearheaded by Nina Jankowicz, a disinformation researcher reportedly linked to spreading unsubstantiated claims about Hunter Biden’s laptop and Trump’s supposed collusion with Russia.

Questions regarding the grants awarded to MENAACTION and transparency in government funding have emerged. Yet, the State Department’s specific details about the grant yet to be clarified.

The Biden government has faced criticism for allocating resources to organizations considered to have a liberal bias or those alleged to have disseminated false information. NewsGuard has similarly come under scrutiny by conservatives for perceived anti-conservative prejudice.

U.S. Counties Refuse to Install Voting Machines Sensors Linked to Anti-Trump Federal Agency.

Three conservative-led counties in Washington state are declining to update their voting machines amidst concerns over hacking.

Washington Secretary of State Steve Hobbs, a Democrat, claims so-called ‘Albert sensors‘ will help stop intrusions on the machines’ networks. Albert sensors feed back information on possible intrusion to a security operations center near Albany, New York. The system is operated by the Center for Internet Security (CIS). The CIS a nonprofit which collaborates with and is funded by CISA, the Department for Homeland Security’s cybersecurity agency. CIS was involved in the mass censorship of conservatives in 2020, prompting concerns the Albert sensor may undermine rather than strengthen election integrity.

Hobbs has threatened new legislation to adopt the sensors, but skepticism remains high. Lincoln County got rid of their Albert sensor in part because its installation was followed by a massive ransomware attack.

“This Albert sensor didn’t do a damn thing about it,” said Republican Lincoln County Commissioner Rob Coffman. “It didn’t function as it was advertised.”

Election officials are not universally eager to adopt new voting security technology. The National Association of State Election Directors (NASED) is refusing to update voting machines to meet new federal standards in time for the next election.

Giuliani Georgia Trial Begins.

A trial commencing in Washington on Monday will determine the amount to be paid by former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani to two Georgia election workers, Ruby Freeman and her daughter Wandrea “Shaye” Moss. Giuliani accused the pair of fraud during his attempts to corroborate ex-President Donald Trump’s claims of a rigged 2020 election.

Giuliani has already been found liable in the defamation lawsuit brought by Freeman and Moss. Both claim to have faced threats and harassment after unwittingly Giuliani’s claims following the 2020 presidential election. This is despite audio evidence that includes Freeman even committing to blowing the whistle on “improper ballot scanning and improper use of USB Ports by Fulton County election employees that occurred in and after the 2020 elections.”

“…now it’s the USB ports, so I need an attorney, I want to go live, I’ll go live on every platform. And it will blow your mind. And you are going to be amazed at that picture,” Freeman is alleged to have told publicist Trevia Kutti. Kutti is now being charged with solicitation of false statements, for speaking to Freeman.

The former New York Mayor maintains his innocence, contending his right to question what he perceived as election fraud. He was sued in September by a former lawyer for alleged non-payment of approximately $1.6 million in legal fees from investigations into his efforts to keep Trump in office.

He admitted in July to making public statements falsely accusing Freeman and Moss of fraud. However, he argued that these pronouncements were protected by the First Amendment. The trial aims solely to ascertain the cash sum that may be owed by the former mayor.

DOJ Files Motion to Hide Jan 6 Docs in Trump Case Discovery.

The Department of Justice (DOJ)’s special counsel in the January 6 case, Jack Smith, has filed a motion rejecting Donald Trump’s request for documents from multiple government agencies.

Smith argued this weekend that Trump’s demands amount to “an unprecedented expansion of the Government’s discovery obligations that would provide special treatment for him and result in delay.”

Smith claims the “prosecution team” is not the entire executive branch, meaning documents belonging to the Federal Bureau of Investigations, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the DOJ, the Special Counsel’s office, the Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security, and other Congressional committees, are “not discoverable”.

“The Government has taken a broad approach to discovery, providing voluminous, comprehensive, and early productions that exceed its obligations,” Smith adds.

The motion accepts prosecutors must reveal information that may be useful to a defendant, yet claims much information Trump has requested “is not in the Government’s possession, [and] in many cases does not appear to exist…”

Reports suggest the information is not discoverable because thousands of texts between Secret Service officials were deleted in January 2021 “after House Democrats notified executive agencies to preserve all Jan 6-related records.” Other withheld information includes Secret Service transcripts, which detail operations on January 6, 2021.

From Which River to Which Sea? Less Than Half Can Name ‘Palestine’ Chant Boundary Lines.

Almost fifty percent 0f college protestors chanting the pro-Hamas slogan “Palestine will be free, from the river to the sea” don’t even know to which ‘river’ or ‘sea’ they are referring. Polling by University of California, Berkeley professor Ron Hassner found only 47 percent of students were able to correctly identify the Jordan River as the geographic feature being referenced. When asked if they supported the slogan, 32.8-percent said they supported it enthusiastically while 53.2-percent viewed it some-what approvingly.

College campuses across the United States have seen large demonstrations against the Israeli military response to Hamas’s barbaric terrorist attack against the Jewish state on October 7th. The domestic increase in socio-political tensions over the conflict have resulted in several violent attacks has resulted in several violent attacks against Jewish students on campuses. In late October, aggressive pro-Hamas protestors on the Cooper Union campus by-passed security at the school’s library, approaching a group of Jewish students  and forcing them to barricade themselves in part of the building for their own safety.

The increasingly anti-semitic protests are likely bolstered, in part, by unprecedented dissent against support for Israel within President Joe Biden’s own government and within the Democrat Party. Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) led a protest at the U.S. Capitol which saw demonstrators storm the Cannon House Office Building. Several were arrested after assaulting U.S Capitol Police.

Several university presidents whose campuses have witnessed recent incidents of anti-semitism were called to testify on Capitol Hill  last week. Members of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce pressed the university leaders on how their institutions were responding to increasingly violent rhetoric – including the “Palestine will be free, from the river to the sea” chant which some argue is a call for genocide. Claudine Gay, the president of Harvard University, said while the slogan “…is at odds with the value of Harvard, but … we embrace a commitment to free expression even of views that are objectionable, offensive, hateful.”

WATCH: Trumps Brings Down the House at New York ‘Black Tie Rally’ at Cipriani.

NEW YORK, NY – Former President Donald J. Trump rocked the house at the largest New York Young Republican Club (NYYRC) gala in decades, blasting his political rivals, cracking jokes about his fellow GOP presidential nominee candidates, and lauding the work of hardline ‘America First’ stalwarts in the audience on Saturday night.

The National Pulse was a sponsor of the event which attracted almost 1,000 black tie-wearing attendees to the illustrious Cipriani Wall Street venue, where Trump waxed lyrical about aspects of his personal life, his policy ambitions, and regaled the audience with stories from the 2016 campaign.

Club President Gavin Wax introduced Trump to massive fanfare, at the event which saw dignitaries and notables such as Congressman Matt Gaetz, Stephen K. Bannon, Senator Roger Marshall, Senator J.D. Vance, Congressman Lauren Boebert, Congressman Cory Mills, and many more.

In classic Trump fashion, the 45th President of the United States often went off script, tearing into political opponents like Joe Biden, Ron DeSantis, and Nikki Haley. He also took the time to blast the “fake news media” for misinterpreting his comments and jokes, especially those made at the expense of Joe Biden.

Trump’s most powerful line came when discussing Biden’s framing of his ‘MAGA’ movement as “extreme”.

“MAGA stands for Make America Great Again,” Trump reminded the audience, before going on to admit, “I am extreme about making America Great Again,” in a statement not dissimilar to former Senator Barry Goldwater’s famous line: “Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice. And moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.”

The New York Young Republican Club is already beginning to plan next year’s event, with the gala turning more into a “black tie rally” in the words of organizers, due to the audience’s energy, volume, and the content of the speeches on the night.

11-Year-Old Girl Made to Sleep Overnight with ‘Trans’, Biologically Male Student During School Trip, Parents Allege.

Parents in Jefferson County, Colorado, have complained after an 11-year-old girl was allegedly assigned to the same bed as a male during a school trip. They were told before the overnight outing that boys and girls would sleep on separate floors of their hotel.

One of the girls, identified as D.W., discovered upon arrival that she would be sleeping with a biologically male “transgender girl”. She told her mother she felt uncomfortable, after which her mother spoke to the principal. Initially, D.W. was persuaded to move only to another bed in the same room, and to lie about the reason.

The male and another student were eventually moved to a different room. Teachers then ordered D.W. and two other girls not to tell anyone their male ex-bunkmate was “transgender”.

D.W.’s case was taken up by the Alliance Defending Freedom, which wrote to the Superintendent and Board of Education.

“Because [Jeffco Public Schools’] policy prioritizes the ‘safety and comfort’ of only transgender students to the exclusion of all other students, there was no way for D.W.’s parents to request an accommodation prior to the trip so they could protect D.W.’s privacy and ‘minimiz[e] stigmatization’ of D.W.,” the letter explained.

“Therefore, an 11-year-old child was placed in a position where she feared social backlash if she requested a different room in front of other students.”

Similar behavior has been observed in higher education officials. Undercover reporters in Minnesota recorded the Housing Director at the University of St. Thomas promising to keep a (fake) trans student’s sex a secret from other students, only accommodate him with females, and prioritize him for his own private room.
