Media Continues to Peddle Federal Abortion Ban Conspiracies Despite Unequivocal Trump Statement.

The corporate media is continuing to peddle falsehoods aimed at riling up abortion activists in an attempt to swing November elections for Democrats, with a new article in the Washington Post claiming the practice could be banned at the federal level under a second Trump term, despite the 45th President making an unequivocal federalist argument just days ago.

In his initial statement on abortion, Trump confirmed his personal support for exceptions in cases of rape, incest, and when the life of the mother is at risk. He also expressed his belief that, constitutionally, the issue should be decided according to “the will of the people” on a state-by-state basis.

“People forget, fighting Roe v. Wade was, right from the beginning, all about bringing the Issue back to the States, pursuant to the 10th Amendment and States’ Rights. It wasn’t about anything else,” he wrote.

“We had a Great Victory, it’s back in the States where it belongs, and where everyone wanted it. The States will be making the decision,” he added.

“Republicans are now free to run for Office based on the Horrible Border, Inflation, Bad Economy, and the Death & Destruction of our Country!”

Trump has frequently stressed people must follow “their heart” on abortion. However, he has warned conservatives that they must “win elections” to have any positive impact on the country at all.

Pushing for total or near-total bans on abortion, which does not enjoy broad public support, is likely to frustrate this larger goal, according to most polling.

Appellate Court WILL Hear Trump Motion To Lift Gag Order in New York ‘Hush Money’ Trial.

A New York appeals court is set to weigh in on Judge Juan Merchan‘s broad gag order imposed on former President Donald Trump. The former President’s motion to appeal the order was advanced to the full judicial panel following the ruling of an appellate judge earlier on Tuesday.

Despite granting a hearing before the full appellate court, the judge denied an additional motion by Trump’s attorneys to delay the start of the ‘hush money’ pending the gag order appeal. The full appellate panel, however, could reconsider the motion and decide to stay the trial while they weigh whether Judge Merchan’s order violates the former President’s constitutional rights. The ‘hush money’ trial is set to begin on Monday with jury selection.

Merchan’s far-reaching gag order prevents Trump from expressing public remarks on the trial’s participants and court members, including potential jurors. Merchan imposed the order after Trump began posting on social media revelations linking the judge’s daughter to numerous Democrat Party leaders, including New York’s Attorney General Letitia James.

Early on Tuesday, the former President’s defense attorney, Emil Bove, argued that the gag order prevents Trump from fending off attacks from expected witnesses Michael Cohen and Stormy Daniels, as well as prosecutor Alvin Bragg. In his appeal, Trump contended the gag order’s prohibition on public comments caused “irreparable harm.”

The full appellate court will hear written arguments from both parties by April 29. It is also expected to rule on whether to move the trial from its current venue in Manhattan. Trump‘s defense team has argued that the local jury pool is overwhelmingly biased toward the prosecution.

NPR Editor Makes Stunning Admission Over Left-Wing Bias.

A senior editor at National Public Radio (NPR) says the outlet’s response to the election of then-President Donald Trump and the death of George Floyd — and subsequent riots — transformed the news organization for the worse. Uri Berliner, a senior business editor, admits NPR has always been liberal, but contends it used to foster an “open-minded, curious culture.” In contrast, its reaction to Trump and the post-Floyd panic regarding “systemic racism” caused its tone to become “knee-jerk, activist, [and] scolding.”

HOOKED ON SCHIFF.

Berliner claims NPR initially began its descent into extreme ideological bias after becoming one of the primary outlets pushing Rep. Adam Schiff‘s (D-CA) conspiracy theory that the 2016 Trump campaign colluded with the Russian government to rig the U.S. presidential election. “By my count, NPR hosts interviewed Schiff 25 times about Trump and Russia. During many of those conversations, Schiff alluded to purported evidence of collusion,” Berliner writes, adding: “The Schiff talking points became the drumbeat of NPR news reports.”

Despite investing a lot of time in coverage of Rep. Schiff’s claims, the outlet gave little attention to the fact that multiple investigations exonerated Trump of the California Democrat’s charges. “But when the Mueller report found no credible evidence of collusion, NPR’s coverage was notably sparse. Russiagate quietly faded from our programming,” the business editor says.

THE LAPTOP FROM HELL.

In another instance of editorial malpractice, Berliner details how NPR failed to cover the Hunter Biden laptop story. At the time, the news organization stated, “We don’t want to waste our time on stories that are not really stories.” Further, NPR said stories covering the laptop were “pure distractions.” Berliner, however, admits that “Its contents revealed [Hunter Biden’s] connection to the corrupt world of multimillion-dollar influence peddling and its possible implications for his father.”

Berliner described an editorial meeting as follows: “I listened as one of NPR’s best and most fair-minded journalists said it was good we weren’t following the laptop story because it could help Trump.”

COVID-19 PROPAGANDISTS.

Taking on NPR’s coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic, Berliner says its editorial staff quickly decided that the ‘natural origin’ theory was correct and that the ‘lab leak’ theory was either “racist or a right-wing conspiracy theory.” According to Berliner, the internal stance on COVID-19 was partly prompted by the outlet implicitly trusting the word of Anthony Fauci and former NIH head Francis Collins.

‘ENDING SYSTEMIC RACISM.’

The business editor says former CEO John Lansing enabled the internal cultural changes and editorial bias. Following the death of George Floyd, Berliner recounts how Lansing, rather than challenging staff to explore whether systemic racism was prevalent in America, tasked the news organization with “identifying and ending systemic racism.” Following Lansing’s “systemic racism” challenge, the organization was overtaken by racial affinity groups who pushed for tailored, niche coverage — increasingly alienated listeners and readers alike.

While Berliner insists that he believes NPR can be saved from itself, he does lament that “[w]ith declining ratings, sorry levels of trust, and an audience that has become less diverse over time, the trajectory for NPR is not promising.”

Even Anti-Trump Psychos Are Admitting The Genius of Trump’s Abortion Statement.

Figures in both the pro-Donald Trump and anti-Donald Trump camps agree his announcement on abortion was smart politics. On Monday, former President Donald Trump issued a video statement on abortion and access to fertility treatments. Trump said he supports the states being allowed to decide on abortion limits, saying many will have different rules, but “at the end of the day, this is all about the will of the people.” He also stressed that supporting in vitro fertilization (IVF) was an “important part” of supporting parents in their “quest for the ultimate joy in life.”

“It’s actually a savvy take,” said anti-Trump co-host of ABC’s The View, Alyssa Farah Griffin, in an interview with The Daily Beast. She continued: “He can claim the conservative mantle that he’s for states’ rights. And he avoids the political liability of calling for 15 weeks, which Republicans see as a betrayal on the life issue and Democrats will frame as a national abortion ban.”

“Now he’s repositioning to punt responsibility for the more extreme abortion decisions on Republican governors and off of himself,” Griffin added.

In addition to a begrudging acknowledgment from anti-Trumpers, the former President received backing from several key U.S. Senate allies. On Monday, Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) told the press that he thought former President Trump‘s stance was “generally the right approach.” Hawley added, “We don’t have a national referendum system.”

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), a one-time Trump-skeptic, echoed the former President’s abortion statement when he returned to Capitol Hill on Monday, stating, “it’s the voters who decide” not the government or a court “decreeing a rule for everyone and disenfranchising the voters.”

Here’s What Donald Trump and David Cameron Spoke About on Monday…

David Cameron, the China-linked former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, met with President Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago residence on Tuesday evening, with much of the conversation believed to have centered around Ukraine. Cameron was accompanied by Britain’s Ambassador the United States, Karen Pierce.

Cameron, whose premiership collapsed when he lost the Brexit referendum in 2016, now sits in the House of Lords as an unelected life peer and serves as Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s Foreign Secretary — roughly equivalent to Secretary of State in the U.S.

The Trump campaign told The National Pulse on Tuesday: “On April 8th, 2024, President Trump had dinner at Mar-a-Lago with David Cameron, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom, and Karen Pierce, British Ambassador to the United States, to discuss several issues impacting both countries.

“Among the topics discussed were the upcoming US and UK elections, policy matters specific to Brexit, the need for NATO countries to meet their defense spending requirements, and ending the killing in Ukraine.

“President Trump, Secretary Cameron and Ambassador Pierce also discussed their mutual admiration for the late Queen Elizabeth II.”

Britain’s Foreign Office claims Cameron’s meeting with Trump was “productive,” but he was a strange choice of emissary to the America First leader, having regularly trashed him in the past. As Prime Minister, Cameron denounced then-candidate Trump as “protectionist, xenophobic, and misogynistic” and blasted his so-called “Muslim ban” as “divisive, stupid, and wrong.”

Cameron also revealed in his memoirs that he “couldn’t have agreed more” with a speech by Barack Obama comparing Trump to Putin and criticized him for using straightforward language like “Islamic terrorism” in case it offended Muslims.

A Foreign Office statement says Cameron will also be lobbying for a ceasefire in Gaza and announcing millions of pounds to assist a Kenyan-led security mission in Haiti.

The statement does not mention any lobbying on behalf of British citizens or businesses.

Earlier this year, Cameron compared Congressional Republicans who refused to back Ukraine aid funding to Adolf Hitler.

Jack Montgomery contributed to this report.

Fani Willis Struggles to Raise Campaign Cash, Now Relies on Out-of-State Donors.

Campaign finance data indicates Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has seen little political boost from her RICO prosecution of former President Donald Trump and 14 other co-defendants over allegations they attempted to interfere in the state’s 2020 presidential election. Between August 15, 2023, and the end of this past January, Willis raised just $84,758 — well below the over $130,000 she raised in July of 2022 alone. The Fulton County District Attorney appears to have struggled to pull in cash in the months after she indicted the former President, having raised $326,042 since May of 2022.

Willis’s campaign also saw a drop in contributors following the RICO indictments. Over July and August of 2022, Willis received over 600 contributions, more than double what she’s received since the indictments. In addition to the lackluster fundraising and donor dropoff, the District Attorney‘s re-election campaign has increasingly relied on out-of-state money. Georgia campaign finance data shows that about 70 percent of her donors are located outside the state and hail from liberal locales like California, Maryland, and New York.

The weaker-than-expected fundraising and her controversial prosecution of former President Trump have resulted in Willis drawing a Democrat primary challenger in her bid for re-election this fall. Christian Wise Smith — a former Fulton County prosecutor — previously challenged Willis in the 2020 Democratic primary, coming in third place with 22 percent of the vote. He also ran in the 2022 Democrat primary for Attorney General, placing in second — again with 22 percent of the vote.

The winner of the Democratic primary will face Republican Courtney Kramer in November’s general election. Kramer — formerly an executive with True the Vote — previously served as a litigation consultant on former President Trump‘s 2020 re-election campaign and as special counsel for the Georgia Republican Party.

Trump Demands ‘Hush Money’ Venue Change as Judge Privately Expresses ‘Pain’ Over Daughter’s Involvement in Trial.

Former President Donald Trump’s legal team has filed a notice of appeal in his Manhattan ‘hush moneycase with one week to go before the trial is scheduled to begin.

Although the paperwork is currently unavailable, a source told CNN that the filing relates to gag order imposed on Trump by Judge Juan Merchan — a Democratic Party donor whose activist daughter also works with several high-profile Democrats — as well as the trial’s venue.

Trump’s legal team previously contested the gag order and requested the trial’s location be changed from Manhattan on the grounds that the former President would not receive a fair trial in the heavily liberal city.

POLITICO reported on Monday afternoon that, “Two people close to Justice Merchan, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said that the judge had privately expressed pain over the attacks on his daughter, but the people said that those attacks won’t compromise his ability to oversee the case.”

Biden ‘Soiled’ White House Resolute Desk, Says Trump.

Former President Donald Trump told donors that the aging Joe Biden, noted for his physical impairment and memory lapses, may have “literally” soiled the famous Resolute Desk in the White House’s Oval Office.

Trump’s remarks came during a Saturday evening fundraiser in Palm Beach, Florida. Trump criticized President Joe Biden’s border policy and commented on further poor decision-making in the Oval Office, specifically referring to the historically significant Resolute Desk.

“The Resolute Desk is beautiful,” said Trump. “Ronald Reagan used it, others used it. And [Biden’s] using it. I might not use it the next time. It’s been soiled. And I mean that literally, which is sad,” Trump continued.

The Resolute Desk was a gift from Queen Victoria to President Rutherford B. Hayes in 1880 and was made from the timbers of the British Arctic exploration ship HMS Resolute. It has been used by many U.S. presidents in the Oval Office, symbolizing the close relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom.

While Trump’s remarks were likely in jest — “The attendee who witnessed the moment said that dinner guests laughed,” reported The New York Times — some mainstream media organizations have sought to depict Trump’s joke as a “baseless” lie. The Independent, for example, reported that “Trump wildly claims Biden ‘soiled’ himself on White House Resolute desk in latest baseless rant.”

Earlier this year, the Trump campaign released a video mocking Biden’s age-addled body and mind, joking that the octogenarian is enjoying “White House senior living.” Biden’s frailty and cognitive impairment have become an increasing concern for Democrats heading into the 2024 election.

WATCH: Trump Announces His Winning Strategy on Abortion.

Donald Trump has issued a video statement on abortion and access to fertility treatments, saying, “The Republican party should always be on the side of the miracle of life, and the side of mothers, fathers, and their beautiful babies.”

Trump stressed that supporting in vitro fertilization (IVF) was an “important part” of supporting parents in their “quest for the ultimate joy in life,” praising the Alabama legislature for answering his call to protect IVF access following a controversial ruling by state judges.

On abortion, the former president celebrated the ending of Roe v. Wade, saying, “It must be remembered that the Democrats are the radical ones on this position because they support abortion up to and even beyond the ninth month.”

“The concept of having an abortion in the later months and even execution after birth — and that’s exactly what it is, the baby is born, the baby is executed after birth — is unacceptable, and almost everyone agrees with that,” he said.

Trump said he supports the states being allowed to decide on abortion limits, saying many will have different rules, but “at the end of the day, this is all about the will of the people.”

Trump Camp Rips POLITICO’s ‘Laughable’ Claim That China Prefers Him to Biden.

Donald Trump’s campaign has poured scorn on German-owned insider media outlet POLITICO for suggesting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) would prefer a second Trump administration to Joe Biden continuing in the White House.

“In Politico’s Nightly newsletter, Catherine Kim makes a harebrained assertion that China would prefer President Trump to return to the White House,” said Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung.

“The same President Trump who made China submit to pro-America trade and tariff regulations, called them out for exporting the Coronavirus that killed millions across the world, and stood tough against Chinese economic aggression throughout his first term,” he continued.

“For a media outlet and its reporter to peddle lies and feature commentary from a ‘China expert’ named Rorry Daniels — who by the way is a Democrat donor — is laughable at best.”

In its newsletter, POLITICO peddled commentary produced by the aforementioned Daniels, director of the Asia Society Policy Institute, and Jacob Stokes — a staffer at the White House when Joe Biden was Vice President.

It was argued that “Trump’s willingness to be seen as a dealmaker” would be exploited by China — but Cheung argued it is the media that China is exploiting, via its chronic Trump Derangement Syndrome.

“The fact is that China has grown stronger under a weak Biden presidency, and our allies are even more in danger as China builds up its economic and military power,” Cheung said.

He added that “Politico’s official media partner in Asia is the South China Morning Post, widely considered to be the mouthpiece of the CCP.”

POLITICO denied this in a statement to Fox, although an article announcing a content partnership with SCMP published in 2018 remains live on the POLITICO website as of the time of publication.
