Sam Brinton – the “non binary” former Biden government official ousted after being exposed by The National Pulse – has been arrested as a “fugitive from justice”.
Brinton, an LGBTQ+ activist and drag queen who served at the Department of Energy’s Office of Nuclear Energy, went by the alter ego “Sister Ray Dee O’Active”. He was exposed by The National Pulse for, among other things, defending the website rentboy.com, which was shut down in August 2015 after a raid related to underage prostitution.

The Mail reports: “Brinton was arrested at approximately 10 p.m. last night in [his] home on College Parkway. [He is] being held in the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit on a no-bond status as they await an extradition hearing.”
A neighbor also reportedly told The Daily Wire website that “four unmarked police showed up last night, they would not let his spouse Kevin leave. After about an hour Sam Brinton was escorted out in handcuffs.”
Brinton lost his job after his habit of stealing women’s clothing from airport luggage carousels during work trips was revealed, and reports indicate he has now been arrested at his home in Maryland.
The National Pulse was able to discover that, during his time as a Biden official, Brinton was among the top one per cent of federal employees in terms of his salary. He also enjoyed top level “Q clearance”, giving him access to classified information “which reasonably could be expected to cause exceptionally grave damage to the national security” if it was leaked.
Sam Brinton is or at least was a member of the Washington, D.C. chapter of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence drag queen society, which has declared Dr. Anthony Fauci – a.k.a. “Daddy Fauci” – a “saint”.

💬KEY QUOTE: “The great news for those who are here from Venezuela on Temporary Protected Status is that they can now go home with hope for their country.” – Tricia McLaughlin
🎯IMPACT: The U.S. is working to stabilize Venezuela while ending Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for approximately 500,000 Venezuelans in the U.S.
IN FULL
The Trump administration has confirmed that deportation flights to Venezuela are continuing, even following the recent arrest of Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro. The administration says the flights are part of a broader effort to reverse illegal immigration while supporting stability in Venezuela.
Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said, “The great news for those who are here from Venezuela on Temporary Protected Status is that they can now go home with hope for their country.” Her remarks followed the administration’s decision to revoke Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for approximately 500,000 Venezuelans, a move intended to encourage voluntary returns and enable forcible deportations.
Earlier this year, the Trump administration asked the Supreme Court to allow the removal of TPS protections for about 350,000 Venezuelans, arguing that conditions in the country have changed and that deportations could proceed safely. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has reported an increase in enforcement actions, including the deportation of nearly 200 Venezuelan nationals described by officials as dangerous criminals in a single week.
President Donald J. Trump addressed the issue while speaking aboard Air Force One, asserting that the United States is “in charge” of Venezuela and that elections would take place there “at the right time.” He emphasized the importance of stability in neighboring countries, particularly regarding energy production, adding, “This is Venezuela, our area, the ‘Donroe Doctrine.’”
Venezuela under Maduro briefly signaled resistance to accepting deportation flights after U.S. comments about restricting its airspace last month, but ultimately agreed to receive them. Since the restart of flights, thousands of Venezuelan migrants have been returned.
Meanwhile, Venezuelan interim President Delcy Rodríguez has publicly called for dialogue with Washington, inviting cooperation on development efforts. Rodríguez said, “Our people and our region deserve peace and dialogue, not war.”

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel, and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rick Crawford (R-AR).
📍WHEN & WHERE: Maduro’s capture occurred over the weekend, with potential regional ripple effects in Cuba and Nicaragua.
💬KEY QUOTE: “Cuba needs Venezuelan oil. They no longer have the resources that will be provided by Venezuela.” – Rick Crawford
🎯IMPACT: Maduro’s capture weakens the “communist triad” of Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua, and may influence American adversaries further afield like Iran, Russia, and especially China.
IN FULL
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rick Crawford (R-AR) said the weekend capture of Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro by U.S. forces could trigger sweeping political consequences across the region, including destabilizing Cuba and other allied governments.
Crawford described the development as “the beginning of the end” for Cuba’s communist regime, pointing to the deep economic and security ties that have bound Havana and Caracas for years. Cuba has relied heavily on subsidized Venezuelan oil while supplying Venezuela with medical personnel, intelligence support, and military assistance in return. With Maduro now in U.S. custody, Crawford said that the relationship may be coming to an abrupt halt. “Cuba needs Venezuelan oil. They no longer have the resources that will be provided by Venezuela,” he said.
Maduro was captured during a U.S. operation announced by President Donald J. Trump and appeared before a federal court in the United States on Monday, where he faces charges of drug trafficking and narco-terrorism. His arrest marked a dramatic escalation in U.S. efforts against the Venezuelan strongman, who had ruled the country for more than a decade amid economic collapse, mass emigration, and widespread allegations of corruption and repression.
Cuba, a one-party communist state led by President Miguel Díaz-Canel, has been under a U.S. economic embargo since 1962, when President John F. Kennedy restricted trade between the two countries. Crawford suggested that Cuba’s internal pressures could intensify if Venezuelan support disappears, particularly as the island struggles with energy shortages and economic stagnation.
Crawford added that the fallout from Maduro’s capture could extend beyond Cuba. “This also plays into what I call the communist triad of the Western hemisphere, that is Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua. This probably doesn’t bode well for Nicaragua… I’m sure they’re watching anxiously, wondering when the next boot is gonna fall and where they’ll be in relation to that,” he said.
He also cautioned U.S. adversaries aligned with these governments, saying, “Iran, Russia, China, you’re playing in the wrong sandbox.” The warning comes as Cuba has deepened ties with Beijing in recent years, including plans to host a Chinese Communist Party intelligence-gathering facility on the island.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The hiring numbers were announced on Saturday, with recruitment efforts taking place nationwide and funded by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act signed into law in July 2025.
💬KEY QUOTE: “The good news is that thanks to the Big Beautiful Bill that President Trump signed, we have an additional 12,000 ICE officers and agents on the ground across the country. That’s a 120 percent increase in our workforce. And that’s in just about four months.” – Tricia McLaughlin, DHS Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs
🎯IMPACT: The hiring surge aims to strengthen immigration enforcement and fulfill President Trump’s campaign promise to remove the millions of illegal immigrants allowed into the U.S. under former President Joe Biden.
IN FULL
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has announced that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has surpassed its goal of hiring 10,000 new agents by the end of 2025. According to DHS, the agency tasked with immigration enforcement has onboarded over 12,000 new agents after receiving over 220,000 applications for positions within the agency.
Last August, ICE launched an aggressive recruitment drive that included incentives such as signing bonuses of up to $50,000 and student loan repayment programs. Additionally, the age cap for applicants has been removed, allowing people as young as 18 to apply. The surge in new hires bolsters President Donald J. Trump’s moves to enforce federal immigration laws and deport millions of illegal immigrants who were allowed entry into the country under former President Joe Biden.
“The good news is that thanks to the Big Beautiful Bill that President Trump signed, we have an additional 12,000 ICE officers and agents on the ground across the country,” DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said. “That’s a 120 percent increase in our workforce. And that’s in just about four months.”
New congressional appropriations backed the hiring spree for DHS and ICE, approved through the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, signed into law by President Trump on July 4, 2025. Notably, the bill allocated $170 billion toward immigration enforcement and infrastructure, including funding for ICE to expand detention capacity, upgrade technology systems, and increase staffing levels.
In December of last year, DHS revealed that 2.5 million people without legal status have left the United States since Trump returned to office in January. According to the department, ICE has carried out over 605,000 formal removals, most involving individuals with pending criminal charges or convictions, while close to two million others have opted to return home, some through the agency’s CBP Home mobile app, which offers no-cost flights and a $1,000 stipend for voluntary departures.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The decision was finalized on Monday, following Congress’s defunding of CPB last summer.
💬KEY QUOTE: “CPB’s final act would be to protect the integrity of the public media system and the democratic values by dissolving, rather than allowing the organization to remain defunded and vulnerable to additional attacks,” said Patricia Harrison.
🎯IMPACT: The dissolution marks the end of CPB’s funding of biased public media organizations.
IN FULL
The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), the private nonprofit created by Congress in 1967 to distribute federal funding to public media organizations such as PBS and NPR, has voted to dissolve following the loss of its own funding. The decision comes after Congress moved last summer to eliminate federal taxpayer support for CPB, an effort encouraged by President Donald J. Trump’s administration and Republicans who have long criticized public broadcasting as politically biased. With no funding remaining and no prospect of restoration in the near term, CPB’s leadership opted to formally shut down the organization.
Patricia Harrison, CPB’s president and chief executive officer, claimed the move was intended to protect the broader public media system. “CPB’s final act would be to protect the integrity of the public media system and the democratic values by dissolving, rather than allowing the organization to remain defunded and vulnerable to additional attacks,” Harrison said.
The dissolution follows a series of actions targeting PBS and NPR. Last year, President Trump halted federal funding for the broadcasters, arguing that taxpayer dollars should not support biased media organizations. Republican lawmakers later voted to cut billions of dollars in “woke spending,” including funding designated for CPB, PBS, and NPR.
PBS, in particular, has faced heightened scrutiny from conservatives over its programming. Lawmakers renewed calls for defunding after controversy surrounding a Sesame Street Pride-themed social media post, which critics said promoted inappropriate political messaging to children. PBS has defended its content as inclusive and educational.
While CPB will cease to exist, PBS and NPR stations are expected to continue operating independently through a mix of private donations, underwriting, and state or local support.

🎯IMPACT: The case could form a basis for further denaturalizations for immigrants linked to foreign terrorist groups, war crimes, and corruption.
IN FULL
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) initiated proceedings to denaturalize a Bosnian-American man on Monday, who federal officials say lied about his identity when attaining U.S. citizenship in 2007. According to the DOJ filing, Sead Miljkovic—who is also known as Sead Dukic—lied to federal immigration officials regarding his true identity when he immigrated to the United States in 1996.
Federal attorneys with the DOJ’s Civil Division contend that Miljkovic concealed an arrest warrant issued against him by a Bosnian court for war crimes against civilians when applying for U.S. citizenship. Additionally, the DOJ notes that he failed to disclose using multiple names, dates and places of birth, and listed inconsistent information about his family when he initially immigrated to the U.S.
Assistant Attorney General Brett Shumate stated, “This Administration will not permit aliens to come to this country and hide their past to acquire the precious gift of U.S. citizenship. Decades might pass, but when we find you, we will take action.”
The arrest warrant, issued in 2007, alleges Miljkovic was a member of the security forces of the Muslim-majority Autonomous Province of Western Bosnia (APZB), a breakaway territory that briefly declared itself the Republic of Western Bosnia, and brutalized civilians opposing the APZB government in 1994. Miljkovic has not faced trial in Bosnia for these charges.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The British government, the Food and Drink Federation (FDF), marketing agencies, and food manufacturers are key stakeholders in this initiative.
📍WHEN & WHERE: The ban begins Monday across the United Kingdom.
💬KEY QUOTE: “Children are highly susceptible to aggressive marketing of unhealthy foods and exposure to them puts them at greater risk of developing obesity and associated chronic diseases,” claims Katherine Brown, of the University of Hertfordshire.
🎯IMPACT: The government claims the policy will prevent 20,000 cases of childhood obesity, with food manufacturers being encouraged to develop healthier products.
IN FULL
New restrictions on junk food advertising, part of a British government campaign to reduce childhood obesity, are coming into force on Monday. The measures ban television advertisements for foods and drinks high in fat, salt, and sugar (HFSS) before 9 PM and prohibit such advertising entirely online. The restrictions apply to products considered major contributors to poor childhood diets, including soft drinks, chocolates, sweets, pizzas, and ice creams.
Some breakfast cereals, porridges, and sweetened bread products are also affected, depending on their nutritional content. Plain oats, along with most muesli and granola, are not covered unless they include added sugar, chocolate, or syrup.
Josh Tilley, brand strategy director at Initials CX, said the rules could disadvantage smaller businesses compared with large multinational brands. “Smaller companies can’t necessarily afford those bigger brand campaigns,” he said. “Their adverts are based on educating people about specific products, and they’re no longer going to be able to do that.”
National Health Service (NHS) figures show that almost one in ten children starting school in England is obese, while around one in five children have tooth decay by the age of five. Government officials claim the advertising restrictions could help prevent approximately 20,000 cases of childhood obesity each year. Katherine Brown, a professor at the University of Hertfordshire, described the move as “long overdue and a step in the right direction.”
“Children are highly susceptible to aggressive marketing of unhealthy foods and exposure to them puts them at greater risk of developing obesity and associated chronic diseases,” Brown argued.
The advertising ban is part of a broader effort to curb junk food consumption. Other measures introduced in recent years include limits on buy one, get one free promotions for unhealthy foods and a ban on free refills of sugary soft drinks in many food outlets, aimed at reducing excessive sugar intake. Public health officials argue that such policies are necessary to tackle long-term health problems linked to diets high in ultra-processed foods.
The Food and Drink Federation said its members had been voluntarily complying with the advertising restrictions since October and pledged continued cooperation with the government. “Investing in developing healthier products has been a key priority for food and drink manufacturers for many years,” the organization said, adding that manufacturers have significantly reduced salt, sugar, and calorie levels in many products over the past decade.
Internationally, food companies are also facing increasing pressure over the health impact of junk food. Several major manufacturers in the U.S. have recently announced plans to phase out artificial food dyes and reformulate products, reflecting growing scrutiny from regulators and consumers over the role of highly processed foods in diet-related illness.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Announced Monday, following a December directive from President Trump.
💬KEY QUOTE: “This decision protects children, respects families, and rebuilds trust in public health.” – Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
🎯IMPACT: The Trump administration contends the policy change better aligns with international standards and strengthens informed consent.
IN FULL
The Trump administration announced a major overhaul of its childhood immunization schedule on Monday, making several vaccines more optional for families and leaving decisions to parents in consultation with healthcare providers. Previous federal health policies recommended a broader range of immunizations for all children; however, in November of last year, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) revised language on its website addressing vaccine safety, indicating that a link between childhood vaccines and autism “cannot be ruled out.”
Under the new guidelines announced by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the CDC will no longer recommend universal vaccination for rotavirus, COVID-19, influenza, meningococcal disease, and hepatitis A and B. Vaccines for respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), dengue, and meningococcal strains ACWY and B will now be advised only for children considered at high risk.
The policy change follows a directive from President Donald J. Trump in December, instructing HHS officials to review U.S. vaccination practices in comparison to other nations. Subsequently, the department concluded that the U.S. was an “outlier” in the number of vaccines recommended for children. HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. stated, “After an exhaustive review of the evidence, we are aligning the U.S. childhood vaccine schedule with international consensus while strengthening transparency and informed consent.”
Despite complaints raised by vaccine proponents, officials have assured that the changes will not affect access to or insurance coverage for vaccines. “This decision protects children, respects families, and rebuilds trust in public health,” Secretary Kennedy stressed.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Would I launch strikes in Mexico to stop drugs? It’s OK with me. Whatever we have to do to stop drugs.” – President Donald J. Trump
🎯IMPACT: The flight has prompted speculation that the Trump administration is considering direct action against cartels in Mexico, similar to recent actions in Venezuela.
IN FULL
A U.S. Navy P-8 Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft was tracked flying repeated loops off the coast near Tijuana, Mexico, on the morning of January 5, according to flight-tracking websites, drawing attention to renewed U.S. surveillance of Mexican cartels. The aircraft operated over waters off California and Baja California, an area long associated with drug smuggling routes and cartel activity.
Flight data showed the P-8 departing from Naval Air Station Whidbey Island in Washington state before traveling south through Oregon and California. The aircraft then conducted multiple circular flight patterns near the U.S.–Mexico maritime boundary, including areas close to Baja California and Ensenada, before returning to its home base. Portions of the flight path extended near Mexico’s territorial waters and exclusive economic zones.
The Boeing-built P-8 Poseidon is designed for long-range maritime surveillance and anti-submarine warfare. It carries advanced radar, electronic surveillance systems, and sensors capable of tracking both surface vessels and underwater targets. The aircraft can operate at altitudes of up to 41,000 feet, reach speeds approaching 565 miles per hour, and is built to function in demanding maritime environments for decades.
The surveillance activity comes amid heightened political rhetoric and military focus on drug trafficking in the Western Hemisphere. President Donald J. Trump recently criticized Mexico’s government over cartel control, stating, “The cartels are running Mexico, whether you like it or not.” He also floated the idea of direct military action against drug traffickers, saying, “Would I launch strikes in Mexico to stop drugs? It’s OK with me. Whatever we have to do to stop drugs.”
Notably, the P-8 mission coincides with broader U.S. operations aimed at disrupting narcotics trafficking in Latin America. Recent actions have focused on Venezuelan drug routes, culminating in the nighttime capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia, on charges including drug and weapons trafficking. Maduro is now facing trial in New York City.
Mexican drug cartels remain a major concern for U.S. authorities, with groups operating extensive land and maritime smuggling networks. Recent reporting has highlighted cartel recruitment of teenagers for violent crimes inside the United States, as well as intensified U.S. military and law enforcement operations targeting drug routes throughout Latin America. In one recent incident, U.S. forces crossed into Mexican territory while setting up security measures near the border.

💬KEY QUOTE: “I appreciate everyone’s well-wishes about the attack at our home. As far as I can tell, a crazy person tried to break in by hammering the windows.” – J.D. Vance
🎯IMPACT: Damage to the property, a quick response from law enforcement, and the suspect’s arrest. No injuries were reported as the family was not home.
IN FULL
William DeFoor, a male-to-female transgenderwho goes by Julia DeFoor, was charged early January 5 with multiple offenses, including vandalism, after authorities said he smashed four windows at Vice President J.D. Vance’s Ohio home. The East Walnut Hills property serves as a secondary residence for Vance, his wife Usha, and their three children.
According to law enforcement, Secret Service agents were alerted by a loud noise near the home and detained DeFoor close to the scene. Investigators also allege that DeFoor damaged a Secret Service vehicle while approaching the property.
DeFoor, who previously went by the name Davis before transitioning, grew up in an affluent Cincinnati neighborhood and attended a prestigious private high school. Despite a strong academic record, he did not complete a university degree. Court records indicate that he has prior encounters with law enforcement, including a conviction for vandalism in April.
Public records indicate DeFoor was raised in a politically active household. Both of his parents are medical professionals and registered Democrats; his father has made notable political donations to Democratic campaigns, including those of former Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Joe Biden. Authorities have not disclosed a motive for the alleged attack.
Vice President Vance addressed the incident on social media, thanking law enforcement for their response and downplaying the immediate danger to his family. “I appreciate everyone’s well-wishes about the attack at our home. As far as I can tell, a crazy person tried to break in by hammering the windows,” he wrote.
The case comes amid heightened attention to politically sensitive acts of violence or vandalism involving high-profile officials. In recent years, several high-profile criminal cases have drawn national attention after suspects who identified as transgender were charged in unrelated acts of violence or alleged terrorism, including a foiled assassination plot targeting Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh and a separate case involving an alleged bomb plot against Republican targets.
DeFoor is scheduled to appear on Tuesday in Hamilton County Municipal Court for arraignment. The investigation remains ongoing.

🎯IMPACT: The Secret Service plans to hire 4,000 new personnel in response to a potential shortage of experienced agents and increased protection responsibilities.
IN FULL
The U.S. Secret Service is preparing for an unprecedented level of security challenges, with both federal elections and the Los Angeles Summer Olympics on the horizon in 2028. Agency officials and former agents have described the upcoming period as “Armageddon” for protective operations.
The Secret Service is facing significant staffing pressures. Many experienced agents have already left for other opportunities, and a large portion of the workforce hired after 9/11 may not stay through another grueling election cycle. Derek Mayer, a former deputy special agent, warned that “about a third of the workforce will be retirement-eligible before the start of 2028.”
To address these gaps, the agency is launching one of its most ambitious recruitment drives in history, aiming to hire roughly 4,000 new employees by 2028. The plan would expand the number of special agents from about 3,500 to 5,000 and grow the Uniformed Division to approximately 2,000 officers, alongside hundreds of support staff.
The agency’s protective mission is also expanding. With competitive primaries expected from both major parties, more presidential candidates and their families will require round-the-clock protection. On top of that, the Secret Service must help secure the Olympics and Paralympics in Los Angeles, an event that will draw world leaders, international athletes, and massive crowds.
Deputy Director Matthew Quinn acknowledged the scale of the challenge, saying, “No matter what, I don’t care how successful we are, it’s still going to be a rough summer.”
Recent events highlight the variety of threats the agency faces. In January 2026, agents detained a man accused of damaging the home of Vice President J.D. Vance in Cincinnati. In September 2025, the Secret Service uncovered a plot to disable cell towers near the United Nations headquarters, demonstrating the agency’s preventive role in protecting critical infrastructure.
Last year, six agents were suspended following security failures during the assassination attempt against President Donald J. Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, in 2024, as part of ongoing efforts to improve operational effectiveness and accountability.
