A recent poll reveals that over half of the Conservative Party members perceive Islam as a threat to the British way of life. The survey, conducted by market research firm Opinium on 521 Conservative members, found that 58 percent of the surveyed members conveyed such belief. The number is greater than those of the general population, where one in three shares the same view.
An additional finding of the poll established that 52 percent of Conservative Party members are inclined to believe that certain zones in European cities are under the jurisdiction of Sharia law and are inaccessible to non-Muslims.

The polling data was commissioned by far-left group Hope Not Hate.
