Vance Confirms Ilhan Omar is Being Investigated for Immigration Fraud.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Vice President J.D. Vance confirmed that the Trump administration and federal immigration agents are investigating Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) over allegations of immigration fraud.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Vice President J.D. Vance, along with Rep. Ilhan Omar, her brother Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, and her father Nur Omar Mohamed.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The remarks were made on March 27, 2026.

🎯IMPACT: Rep. Omar could potentially face denaturalization and deportation if evidence shows she committed immigration fraud by unlawfully marrying her brother to help him secure a green card, or that she lied on her own immigration paperwork regarding allegations her father participated in war crimes in Somalia.

IN FULL

Vice President J.D. Vance confirmed the Trump administration and federal immigration agents are investigating Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) over allegations of immigration fraud. Speaking with social media personality Benny Johnson, the Vice President said he has spoken with White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller on the matter, and that federal law enforcement believes the evidence of fraud is strong.

“We actually think that Ilhan Omar definitely committed immigration fraud against the United States of America,” Vance said. “I talked to Stephen Miller about this, actually, recently. We’re trying to look at what the remedies are, that’s the thing we’re trying to figure out.”

“What are the legal remedies now that we know that she’s committed immigration fraud? How do you go after her? How do you investigate her? How do you actually do the thing, how do you build the case necessary to get some justice for the American people?” Vance asked, while noting that Omar has also been connected to a number of members of Minnesota’s Somali immigrant community implicated in billions of dollars of social services fraud.

While Johnson focused on the widely discussed allegations that Omar—after becoming a naturalized U.S. citizen—married her own brother, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, so that he could obtain a green card, there are lesser-known but more serious accusations that the Minnesota lawmaker committed fraud on her own immigration and subsequent citizenship applications.

Omar’s father is Nur Omar Mohamed, who served as a colonel in the Somali military under dictator and Marxist-Leninist junta leader, Major General Siad Barre. Ethnic minority groups in Somalia have accused Barre’s junta regime of genocide, and some have pointed to Nur Omar Mohamed as having participated in the ethnic cleansing of the Somali Isaaq clan. If conclusive evidence can show that Ilhan Omar’s father committed war crimes in Somalia and this was not disclosed on her immigration and citizenship paperwork, it could be grounds for denaturalization and deportation.

The National Pulse reported in January that the Trump administration filed to denaturalize Sead Miljkovic, a Bosnian and naturalized U.S. citizen, after it was discovered he lied about his identity when attaining U.S. citizenship in 2007. Federal attorneys with the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Civil Division contend that Miljkovic concealed an arrest warrant issued against him by a Bosnian court for war crimes against civilians when applying for U.S. citizenship. Additionally, the DOJ notes that he failed to disclose using multiple names, dates, and places of birth, and listed inconsistent information about his family when he initially immigrated to the U.S.

DATA: Most California Dems Favor Democratic Socialist Candidates.

A new poll has revealed a growing generational split among California Democrats, with younger Democrats favoring democratic socialists and older Democrats favoring more mainstream candidates, with substantial support for far-left candidates overall.

PULSE POINTS
❓ WHAT HAPPENED: Most California Democrats support democratic socialist candidates, according to a new poll.
📺 DETAIL: According to a poll conducted by the University of California, Berkeley, and co-sponsored by the Los Angeles Times, 58 percent of registered Democrats in California favored democratic socialist candidates. The poll also revealed that 60 percent of Democrats in the state support progressives, while only 48 percent favor more mainstream Democrats. Notably, support for democratic socialist candidates varies by age cohort. Democrats under 40 show more support for democratic socialists, while Democrats over 65 overwhelmingly back mainstream Democrats. Specifically, 69 percent of California Democrats aged between 18 and 29 expressed support for democratic socialists, compared to 45 percent of those over 65. In contrast, only 32 percent of Democrats in the state between 18 and 29 were more inclined to support a mainstream Democrat, compared to 67 percent of those over 65. The survey also revealed that 40 percent of all Californian voters support progressives, slightly ahead of democratic socialists, specifically, on 38 percent.
💬 KEY QUOTE:There’s particular frustration among the younger voting population… Their views of mainstream Democrats are not that positive, and that’s a long-term problem, I think, for the Democratic Party.” – Mark DiCamillo, Institute of Governmental Studies (IGS) poll director
🎯 IMPACT: The results highlight the internal divisions within the Democratic Party. This underscores the leftward shift of the Democrats over the course of the 2026 election cycle. This reflects similar reports from earlier this year. Back in July, a poll revealed that one-third of Democrats describe themselves as democratic socialists. That same month, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who is backed by the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), the far-left political organization currently taking over the Democrats from within, topped a poll in New Hampshire.

Sheriff Bans ICE From Firing Ranges and Training Facilities.

San Diego County Sheriff Kelly Martinez announced restrictions on ICE’s use of county facilities while maintaining access for CBP to safeguard border operations and the regional economy.

PULSE POINTS
❓ WHAT HAPPENED: San Diego County Sheriff Kelly Martinez announced Tuesday that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will no longer be permitted to use sheriff facilities for firearms qualifications and training, alleging it will damage community trust.
📺 DETAIL: The decision comes as the San Diego County Board of Supervisors moves to terminate facility agreements with both ICE and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), though Martinez distinguished between the two agencies when issuing her ban, saying she will continue to allow CBP to use the county’s Otay Range. More than 225,000 people cross through San Diego’s ports of entry each day, including tens of thousands of vehicles, pedestrians, and commercial trucks, according to the sheriff’s office. Martinez said CBP relies on the Otay Range for required classroom and firearms training and has limited alternatives nearby, potentially forcing officers to travel farther from inspection facilities. Martinez conceded that eliminating CBP’s access would cause broader harm to residents and businesses.
💬 KEY QUOTE: “Our authority to enforce the law depends on the trust and confidence of the communities we serve, and I always balance my decisions based on community trust and public safety,” said Sheriff Kelly Martinez, appearing to suggest that illegal aliens subject to deportation are one of the communities she serves.
🎯 IMPACT: The decision will strain relations and cooperation between local authorities and federal immigration agencies, raising concerns about the operational impact of restricting access to training facilities.

Farage’s Reform Party Tops Another Poll as Labour and ‘Conservatives’ Slip.

Another poll has put Nigel Farage’s Reform UK party ahead of new Prime Minister Andy Burnham’s Labour Party, suggesting that the so-called “Burnham Bounce” has waned.

PULSE POINTS
❓ WHAT HAPPENED: Nigel Farage’s Reform UK party has topped another poll, while support for the establishment Labour and Conservative (Tory) parties has declined.
📺 DETAIL: According to a new poll conducted by YouGov, the largest polling firm in Britain, Reform is the most popular party with British voters, on 24 percent support. The poll put the governing Labour Party in second on 22 percent and Kemi Badenoch’s nominally center-right Conservative Party in third on 19 percent. Zack Polanski’s far-left Green Party secured 13 percent, and the Liberal Democrats, who want to re-join the European Union (EU), secured 12 percent. Restore Britain, a splinter party from Reform led by the Conservative-allied Rupert Lowe, secured just four percent of the vote. The findings were published on Wednesday. Reform UK experienced an increase of two percent while both Labour and the Conservatives experienced a drop of two percent. The Green Party and the Liberal Democrats both received an increase of one percent, while Restore Britain saw no change in support.
💬 KEY QUOTE: Reform up 2 and BACK in the lead with YouGov. Labour and the Tories DOWN 2. The Burnham and Kemi bounces going well I see!” – Zia Yusuf, Reform’s Shadow Home Secretary, on X (formerly Twitter)
🎯 IMPACT: This poll reflects similar findings published over the course of August. At the start of the month, YouGov put support for Reform on 23 percent, one percent ahead of Labour. Last week, according to a poll by Survation, another British polling firm, Reform secured 26 percent with Labour trailing on 25 percent, an increase of two percent and a drop of one percent, respectively. This suggests that the so-called “Burnham Bounce,” an uptick in support for the governing Labour Party following Andy Burnham’s election as Labour leader and subsequent appointment as Prime Minister, has waned. The findings also suggest that the so-called “Kemi Bounce,” a similar alleged uptick in support for Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch, has also waned. This shows the British electorate’s enduring frustration with the two establishment parties, which have exchanged the governance of Britain for a century.

Trump Temporarily Pauses 50% Tariffs on Canada.

President Trump has temporarily halted new tariffs on Canadian imports as trade talks advance, potentially impacting key industries and reviving discussions on the Keystone XL pipeline.

PULSE POINTS
❓ WHAT HAPPENED: President Donald J. Trump has delayed a planned 50 percent tariff on nearly $20 billion of Canadian imports for three days, saying the pause reflects progress toward a new trade agreement with Canada. Trump said the two countries had reached a deal subject to finalizing the documents, while Prime Minister Mark Carney acknowledged “substantial progress” but said negotiations were not yet complete.
📺 DETAIL: The discussions have focused on U.S. tariffs on Canadian autos and other products, as well as Canadian restrictions on American liquor and dairy. U.S. negotiators were reportedly considering reducing auto tariffs from 25 percent to 15 percent, although disagreements remain over which vehicles would qualify. Trump also suggested that a new agreement could pave the way for the revival of the Keystone XL pipeline, a project capable of carrying roughly 830,000 barrels of Alberta oil to the United States. Canadian provincial leaders, including Ontario Premier Doug Ford, would need to support any rollback of liquor restrictions, because alcohol sales fall under provincial jurisdiction.
🎯 IMPACT: The three-day tariff delay provides temporary relief for businesses and consumers on both sides of the border while giving U.S. and Canadian negotiators additional time to finalize a broader trade agreement. A deal could ease tensions between the two trading partners and reduce the risk of higher prices and supply chain disruptions.

Census Bureau Finds Over 24,000 Noncitizens Voted in 2020 Election.

A U.S. Census Bureau analysis has identified tens of thousands of noncitizens voting in the 2020 election, raising concerns about election integrity.

PULSE POINTS
❓ WHAT HAPPENED: A U.S. Census Bureau report has revealed that more than 24,000 noncitizens cast ballots in the 2020 general election, with more potentially still to be identified.
📍 WHEN & WHERE: The data pertains to the 2020 general election, with California found to have by far the most noncitizen voters, at 4,300, followed by Texas at 2,500.
📺 DETAIL: The report found that of the 24,000 noncitizen voters identified, 3,800 were from Mexico, the most common country of origin. However, nearly 7,000 have no identified country of origin, so the nationality data is far from complete. The Census Bureau analyzed a total of 160 million votes, with “high confidence” that 128 million were cast by citizens, leaving 32 million records still to be reviewed.
💬 KEY QUOTE: “The Census Bureau’s beginning analysis readily determined with high confidence that over 128 million of these voter records represented citizens, and that over 24,000 of these voter records represented noncitizens at the time of the election. Over 32 million voter records remain to be analyzed… Of the voters who can be readily analyzed by the Census Bureau, over 24,000 are linked to administrative records that indicate with high confidence noncitizen status.” – U.S. Census Bureau, Noncitizen Voting in the 2020 Election, A Beginning Analysis
🎯 IMPACT: The findings raise questions about election security and voter verification processes, particularly in states with higher rates of noncitizen voting. President Donald J. Trump and his administration have been pushing hard for new legislation mandating voter ID and other election integrity measures, but congressional Democrats—who benefit disproportionately from illegal noncitizen voting—are strongly resisting. This is despite the fact that large majorities of Republican, Democrat, and Independent voters all support voter ID.

Trump Celebrates Alexander Vindman’s Upset Failure in Dem Primary.

President Trump celebrated Angie Nixon’s primary win over Alexander Vindman, a key figure in his first impeachment, in a Florida primary.

PULSE POINTS
❓ WHAT HAPPENED: Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) candidate Angie Nixon defeated Alexander Vindman in a Florida Senate primary in a significant upset celebrated by President Donald J. Trump.
💬 KEY QUOTE:SleazeBag Vindman loses tonight to a Radical Left Lunatic. How cool is that???” – President Trump, reacting to the news on Truth Social
📰 DETAIL: Vindman, a central figure in Trump’s first impeachment, was comfortably defeated by his socialist rival despite enjoying a massive fundraising disadvantage. Nixon raised less than $1 million and secured 56 percent of the vote against Vindman, who raised over $16 million. Vindman, a former National Security Council member born in Soviet Ukraine, was a central figure in Trump’s first impeachment, which centered on the contents of a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Nixon’s campaign focused on progressive issues like Medicare for all and abolishing ICE.
🎯 IMPACT: Nixon’s victory sets the stage for a November showdown with Republican Senator Ashley Moody.
👀 FLASHBACK: Vindman gained national attention during Trump’s first impeachment in 2019, alleging impropriety in the President’s “perfect call” with Zelensky, in which they discussed possible corruption involving former Vice President Joe Biden using his position to stop a Ukrainian investigation linked to his son Hunter Biden’s business activities. This led to Trump’s impeachment by the House of Representatives, though he was subsequently acquitted in a Senate trial.

Financial Times Panics As ‘Remigration’ Calls Grow:

The remigration movement, advocating for the removal of migrants to restore cultural and social cohesion, is gaining traction in Europe, with significant backing from the MAGA movement in America.

PULSE POINTS
❓ WHAT HAPPENED: The Financial Times is panicking over the growing popularity of the remigration movement, which seeks to send migrants back to their homelands to repair the fraying cultural and social fabric in Western nations, in Europe, bolstered by support from U.S. political figures and activists associated with the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement. This follows a recent gathering of remigration advocates in Portugal to strategize on implementing remigration policies, including former U.S. Border Patrol Commander-at-Large Greg Bovino.
📰 DETAIL: Remigration (return migration), once dismissed as fringe, has been propelled into mainstream discourse by figures like Austria’s Martin Sellner, boosted by President Donald J. Trump and many of his allies and supporters embracing the term, a development the FT described as “transformational” in an article published on Wednesday. and U.S. supporters, including those aligned with President Donald J. Trump. The movement advocates for far stricter immigration controls and, in many cases, the removal of migrants, including legal residents and some naturalized citizens engaged in crime or determined to be “unassimilated.” Remigration is now the official policy of major European political parties such as Alternative for Germany (AfD).
🎯 IMPACT: The FT believes “Remigration’s journey from Europe to America and back again reveals the depth of the new right’s transatlantic networks,” with Sellner agreeing that “What’s happening in the U.S. over the past 18 months is definitely a normalization of the term.” The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), under President Trump, has explicitly stated that remigration is its goal.
💬 KEY QUOTE: “Having the most powerful man in the world start talking about remigration — that’s definitely a victory. The effects of it will last even after the Trump presidency.” – Martin Sellner
💬 SECONDARY QUOTE: “[F]or the activists pushing remigration, U.S. support in recent months has been transformational,” the FT complained, adding: “At its mildest, [remigration] means stricter immigration rules and tougher enforcement. In its most extreme form, it means adopting measures to encourage or even coerce the removal of ‘unassimilated’ legal residents and even naturalized citizens to their countries of ‘origin.'”
👀 FLASHBACK: Remigration gained momentum after a meeting in Potsdam, Germany, in 2023, which led to a temporary ban on Sellner entering the country. However, it has its roots in older concepts such as voluntary repatriation, advanced by the late British statesman Enoch Powell in the 20th century.

Illegal Alien Rapes Elderly Man Outside Church.

A migrant from Eritrea who illegally entered the United Kingdom has been convicted of raping an elderly man in Harrow, London, raising questions about the British government’s immigration enforcement.

PULSE POINTS
❓ WHAT HAPPENED: An illegal migrant from Eritrea has been convicted of raping a pensioner in London.
📺 DETAIL: Bruke Desalagne, a 33-year-old Eritrean who illegally entered the United Kingdom, was convicted of raping an elderly man in Harrow, north London. The attack occurred behind St. John’s Church, lasted approximately 20 minutes, and was captured on CCTV. The attack occurred in late July last year. Desalagne was arrested at the scene after a witness, who partially recorded the incident on her phone, reported it to the police. “You can see the defendant dragging the heavily intoxicated victim from the bench where he was sitting, and dragged him to the grass area,” said prosecutor Simon Shannon. Despite entering Britain illegally, Desalagne was granted Indefinite Leave to Remain, roughly equivalent to permanent residency, in 2022. He required an interpreter during his trial and reportedly showed no emotion throughout the proceedings. Desalagne was found guilty at Harrow Crown Court. “Our thoughts are with the victim of this deeply disturbing crime, and all those who have been affected by it. We commend their bravery in coming forward and reporting this individual,” said a Home Office spokeswoman.
💬 KEY QUOTE:Bruke Desalagne is a dangerous offender who targeted a defenseless, vulnerable, elderly man. Thanks to members of the public alerting the police, he was arrested at the scene, charged the following day and remanded by the courts.” – Detective Constable Luke Revill, Metropolitan Police
🎯 IMPACT: The fact that Desalagne was given Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) is likely to spark anger over British government immigration policy. Earlier this year, it was reported that new Prime Minister Andy Burnham intends to water down ILR reforms proposed by Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood. The planned reforms aimed to make it harder for migrants who arrived during the “Boriswave,” an unprecedented spike in immigration under former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, to acquire ILR by increasing the qualifying period from five years to ten years and scrapping permanent refugee status.

Migrant Charged With Looting Homes Evacuated During Wildfires.

An Algerian migrant under a deportation order is accused of targeting evacuated homes in France during devastating wildfires, reigniting debate over the nation’s lax deportation policies.

PULSE POINTS
❓ WHAT HAPPENED: An Algerian migrant facing a French deportation order has been accused of burglarizing at least five homes in Gironde while residents were evacuated because of devastating wildfires. The fires burned more than 104,000 acres across southwestern France and forced hundreds of thousands of people from their homes.
📺 DETAIL: According to local media, authorities identified the 28-year-old suspect through security footage, DNA evidence, and cellphone geolocation data. Prosecutors allege he targeted evacuated properties, while the suspect has claimed he was only acting as a lookout for another man who has not been arrested. The migrant reportedly already had an “Obligation de Quitter le Territoire Français” (OQTF), a French deportation order, and four previous criminal convictions in France. One Cestas resident told a Bordeaux criminal court that her home was left ransacked and valuables, including jewelry, were stolen after her family returned from the evacuation. The suspect will remain in custody and is due back in court in October. He also faces two additional prison sentences stemming from earlier offenses. The case has renewed scrutiny of France’s OQTF system, amid criticism over extremely low rates of enforcement.
🎯 IMPACT: The case underscores the long-standing inefficiency of France’s deportation system, which removes fewer than 10 percent of migrant criminals with OQTF orders annually. Public frustration is high, with 86 percent of French voters supporting stricter detention policies for migrants under deportation orders.

Federal Judge Upholds Trump Decision to Terminate Protected Status for Ethiopian Migrants.

A Massachusetts federal judge has lifted a stay on ending Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Ethiopians, aligning with a Supreme Court ruling limiting judicial review of such decisions.

PULSE POINTS
❓ WHAT HAPPENED: A Massachusetts federal court has opened the door for the Trump administration to end legal protections for Ethiopian migrants living in the United States under the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) program. U.S. District Judge Brian Murphy ruled Tuesday that the administration can move forward after lifting an earlier order that had prevented the termination from taking effect.
📺 DETAIL: The former Biden regime granted TPS to eligible Ethiopians in 2022, but the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) later determined that circumstances in Ethiopia had improved sufficiently to justify ending the designation. Then-DHS Secretary Kristi Noem announced the termination in December, prompting a legal challenge that initially succeeded when Murphy, appointed by Joe Biden, blocked the policy in April. The case was reconsidered after the Supreme Court ruled in June that the Trump administration could terminate TPS for Haitians and Syrians, restricting the ability of courts to intervene in certain TPS decisions. Murphy subsequently maintained a temporary pause while reviewing the implications of that ruling, but his latest decision removes the barrier to termination. DHS General Counsel James Percival welcomed the decision, saying the administration’s TPS terminations are now taking effect.
💬 KEY QUOTE: “Judge Brian Murphy just lifted the stay of Ethiopia TPS termination. All TPS terminations are in effect!” – DHS General Counsel James Percival
🎯 IMPACT: The ruling could result in thousands of Ethiopians losing temporary legal protection from deportation and potentially being required to leave the United States. It also signals that the Trump administration may face fewer judicial obstacles as it moves to end TPS designations for additional nationalities.
📺 FLASHBACK: In June, the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 in favor of the Trump administration’s authority to end TPS for Haitians and Syrians, setting a precedent for similar cases.
