Volodymyr Zelensky has become a “liability” to Washington D.C., and may be dispensed with if a much-vaunted Ukrainian counter-offensive fails to achieve major successes, according to Colonel Douglas Macgregor (Retired).
Speaking on the Steak for Breakfast podcast this week, Col. Macgregor said “Zelensky has always been Washington’s puppet and the puppet has rapidly become a serious liability.”
He noted how Zelensky’s meddling in the Ukrainian military’s war strategy had “worsened” its position, and that there is “tangible evidence for the imminent failure of Ukraine.”
The interview comes shortly after POLITICO – a Zelensky-friendly D.C. paper – trashed the Ukrainian leader in an article calling him “authoritarian” and warning of another “Maidan“-style revolution.
Two months prior, veteran news man Seymour Hersh accused Zelensky and his allies of embezzling hundreds of millions of dollars intended to aid in the war effort.
