“If they don’t like barges then they should f**k off back to France,” he said, referring to a floating hotel where the government is attempting to house some adult male migrants as a slightly cheaper alternative t proper land-based hotels.

“These people come across the Channel in small boats… if they don’t like the conditions they are housed in here then they should go back to France, or better not come at all in the first place,” he added.
The Tories have always had a captive minority of politicians like Anderson who, like the party’s voters, are more socially conservative and hold stronger views on issues like immigration than the party leadership.
Anderson has only been given a higher profile in the party recently, as Prime Minister Rishi Sunak seeks to deflect from the fact the Tories have achieved nothing in terms of stopping the growing boats crisis while massively increasing legal mass migration.
Many of the migrants supposed to be sent to the barge have already gotten out of it as a result of activist lawyers, usually taxpayer-funded, lodging appeals complaining their clients are “severely afraid of water” – somewhat unconvincingly, considering how many arrived in Britain by sea.

The front of the coin features President Trump in profile, like other presidents appearing on U.S. currency. On the back of the coin is an engraving of Trump standing in front of an American flag, raising his fist into the air—a reference to him raising his fist after being shot in the ear by a would-be assassin during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Notably, U.S. law technically prohibits living presidents from appearing on the country’s currency. However, commemorative coins struck by the U.S. Mint are allowed to feature living presidents while also retaining their denominated value. These same rules—along with the concept of seigniorage, wherein the government can profit from the difference between a currency’s production cost and struck value—are behind the trillion-dollar platinum coin concept.

Jihad al-Shamie, the Syrian immigrant who carried out a deadly Islamic terror attack at a synagogue in Manchester, England, on Yom Kippur, was on police bail for an alleged rape when he struck.
The Syrian, granted British citizenship in 2006, caused the deaths of two Jewish men and the serious injury of three others during his attack, which involved a vehicle ramming followed by a knife rampage. Police shot al-Shamie dead at the scene, unintentionally injuring two of al-Shamie’s victims in the process, one fatally.

The Church of England has appointed Sarah Mullally as the 106th Archbishop of Canterbury, the first woman ever to hold the Anglican church’s most senior clerical role. Mullally has backed blessings for same-sex couples, pushed for greater inclusion of gender and sexual minorities, and branded the Church of England “institutionally racist” in a prior conversation with Anglican minister Calvin Robinson. “Calvin, as a white woman, I can tell you that the Church is institutionally racist,” she told the biracial conservative.
Mullally steps into the role less than a year after former Archbishop Justin Welby resigned following a child sex abuse cover-up, adding another stain to the institution’s already tarnished reputation. She is set to be officially installed in March 2026 at Canterbury Cathedral.
Her rise comes amid a broader ideological shift in the Church of England, which is widely regarded as abandoning its theological foundations in favor of woke, secular activism, using the image of Christ to promote anti-borderspolitics, for instance.
Last year, the Church faced backlash after St. Paul’s Cathedral, one of its most iconic institutions, even labeled wartime Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill a “white supremacist.”
The Church’s leftward drift has also been linked to falling attendance and declining public trust. A growing number of young Britons are reportedly turning to the Roman Catholic Church, seeking stability and tradition. There are now more young practicing Catholics in England than young practicing Anglicans, with Catholics expected to outnumber Anglicans in England overall in the coming years.

In a Friday morning Truth Social post, he warned that failing to accept the terms would result in crushing military action. Since being made public on Monday, Trump’s proposal has received significant backing from a number of key Middle Eastern governments, ramping up pressure on Hamas to accept the peace terms.
“Hamas has been a ruthless and violent threat, for many years, in the Middle East! They have killed (and made lives unbearably miserable), culminating with the October 7th MASSACRE, in Israel, babies, woman, children, old people, and many young men and women, boys and girls, getting ready to celebrate their future lives together. As retribution for the October 7th attack on civilization, more than 25,000 Hamas “soldiers” have already been killed. Most of the rest are surrounded and MILITARILY TRAPPED, just waiting for me to give the word, “GO,” for their lives to be quickly extinguished,” Trump wrote.
Laying out his deadline to accept the deal, he added: “RELEASES THE HOSTAGES, ALL OF THEM, INCLUDING THE BODIES OF THOSE THAT ARE DEAD, NOW! An Agreement must be reached with Hamas by Sunday Evening at SIX (6) P.M., Washington, D.C. time. Every Country has signed on! Post Millennial reporter Katie Daviscourt noted that Sortor was being targeted by Antifa shortly before his arrest. Anti-ICE demonstrators initiated several fights with pro-ICE counter-demonstrators on the night, but observers expressed bemusement that Sortor was targeted by police, with independent journalist Mark Wilson reporting he did not see him involved in any lawbreaking prior to his arrest. Wilson also noted the Portland Police had previously failed to arrest an anti-ICE agitator who assaulted Daviscourt with a metal pole.
Following his release from jail on Friday morning, Sortor issued a statement on social media, warning: “Hey [Portland Police]: you made a big freaking mistake. You PROVED what we’ve all been saying for years: you’re CORRUPT and CONTROLLED by vioIent Antifa thugs who terrorize the streets.”

Portland Police and Portland officials have long been accused of at worst enabling and at best turning a blind eye to the regular attacks on federal immigration enforcement in Portland, due to local politicians’ stance against taking action against illegal immigrants. Portland’s government is actively harassing the ICE facility where Sortor was arrested, alleging land use violations.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), under the leadership of Director Kash Patel, has officially ended its relationship with the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC). Patel criticized the SPLC for straying from its civil rights mission, stating, “The SPLC long ago abandoned civil rights work & turned into a partisan smear machine.”
Patel particularly stressed the SPLC’s “hate map,” which lists the Turning Point USA (TPUSA) conservative youth organization founded by the late Charlie Kirk alongside the Ku Klux Klan, arguing that it “has been used to defame mainstream Americans and even inspired violence.”
“That disgraceful record makes them unfit for any FBI partnership,” he added.
Leading figures such as Raheem Kassam, Editor-in-Chief of The National Pulse, Jack Posobiec, and former Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) frontman Elon Musk have long been lobbying for the FBI to cut ties with the SPLC, intensifying their efforts in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, allegedly by radical leftist Tyler Robinson, who explicitly cited the TPUSA chief’s supposed “hatred” as his motivation.
The FBI severing its links to the SPLC follows a similar cutting of ties with the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), which also listed TPUSA in a glossary of “extremist” organizations—but defended the Antifa movement recently designated as a domestic terror threat by President Donald J. Trump as misunderstood and generally non-violent.
“[Former FBI Director] James Comey disgraced the FBI by writing ‘love letters’ to the ADL and embedding agents with an extreme group functioning like a terrorist organization and the disgraceful operation they ran spying on Americans,” Patel said of the ADL decision.
