WATCH: Demonstrators Block Elites from Met Gala.

Mass arrests took place as demonstrators staged a sizable protest blocks away from the high-profile Met Gala on Monday, on New York’s Upper East Side. Roughly the same number of police officers assigned to protect the gala were also dispatched to manage and control the protest.

The demonstration, which featured chants of “Rafah!” and “Gaza!”, raised tensions. However, police officers and metal barriers ensured disturbance at the high-profile event was minimized. “The NYPD won’t let them anywhere near the celebrities,” a protestor at nearby Hunter College told the press. Historically, there’s often a protest outside the Met Gala. But they get destroyed.”

While part of the crowd admitted intentions of interrupting the gala, others seemingly found themselves there unintentionally.

Last year, the gala raked in $22 million from brands and sponsors buying ticketing rights. This year’s lead corporate sponsor was TikTok, which faces a U.S. ban — after the November election — if Chinese parent company ByteDance does not divest from it. Joe Biden-supporting political action committees have spent substantial sums of money to win over influencers on TikTok and similar apps, despite Biden having signed the legislation that could ban it.

The theme for the Met Gala this year was J.G. Ballard’s The Garden of Time. Raheem Kassam, editor-in-chief of The National Pulse, observed that it was, perhaps unintentionally, “the perfect choice” for 2024, given the gala’s proximity to Columbia University and New York’s struggles with migrants.

“The Met Gala, taking place close to the heaving and swearing hordes in New York, offers poetic irony… a living play about the destructiveness of mass migration and cultural relativism, slap bang in the middle of Manhattan.”

Government Job Site Posts Ad for ‘Sharia Law Administrator.’

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A government job website in the United Kingdom advertised for an Islamic law administrator, sparking backlash.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Britain’s Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), Reform Party leader Nigel Farage.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The advertisement was posted on July 24 but taken down on July 28.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Our country and its values are being destroyed.” — Nigel Farage

🎯IMPACT: The DWP claimed the advertisement was for a third party and not a government entity, but the backlash led to them taking it down just days after posting it.

IN FULL

A job advertisement for an administrative position at a Sharia court in Britain has sparked political backlash after being posted on the British government’s official jobs website. Listed on the Department for Work and Pensions’ (DWP) Find a Job site, the $31,500-a-year role is based at Manchester Community Centre in Didsbury, England.

The position, advertised by an independent charity, requires applicants to hold a degree in Sharia law and have prior experience working within Islamic courts abroad. Duties include administrative and secretarial responsibilities for the Manchester Sharia Council and coordinating social and religious services.

Outrage quickly followed, with Reform Party leader Nigel Farage commenting, “Our country and its values are being destroyed.”

Zia Yusuf, who heads Reform’s British DOGE initiative, echoed the party leader, warning: “There is only one legal system in the UK. Any attempt to upend or replace it should be illegal.”

The uproar follows increasing scrutiny over the presence of Sharia courts across Britain. Reports indicate there are approximately 85 such bodies in the country, often handling religious rulings related to family matters, particularly Islamic divorces.

Usually comprised of male Islamic scholars, they offer “guidance” and decisions that hold significance for those married under Islamic law, particularly women seeking religious divorces, which often require Sharia court approval even if a civil divorce has been granted. Though many Muslim-majority countries have reformed elements of Sharia in family law, traditional interpretations still heavily influence rulings in these Britain-based councils.

The DWP, under Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and the Labour Party, has tried to distance itself from the advertisement, insisting that “Find A Job is a free platform to help jobseekers find vacancies with employers from various sectors.”

Regardless, the listing was removed on July 28 amid public outrage.

Media Silent After Whites Badly Beaten by Black Mob.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Police in Cincinnati, Ohio, are investigating a violent brawl that went viral on social media, showing white men and a white woman being brutally attacked downtown.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The victims appear to be white men and a white woman, while the attackers were largely or exclusively black. Police Chief Teresa Theetge, Ohio gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy (R), and Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon have commented on the attack.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The incident occurred on Friday night and early Saturday morning near Elm and Fourth Streets in downtown Cincinnati.

💬KEY QUOTE: “The behavior displayed is nothing short of cruel and absolutely unacceptable,” said Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge.

🎯IMPACT: The incident highlights concerns over public safety and lax crime policies, and the apparent reluctance of the media to cover stories in which white victims are targeted by minority background criminals.

IN FULL

Police in Cincinnati, Ohio, have launched an investigation into a violent attack that occurred late Friday and early Saturday morning following the Cincinnati Music Festival at Paycor Stadium and a Reds baseball game. The attacks occurred between Elm and Fourth Streets, according to local reports. Videos of the incident have circulated widely on social media, showing a white man being shoved to the ground and beaten by multiple black attackers, and a white woman receiving a serious concussion. Other white people can be seen being attacked in the background.

The footage depicts many in the crowd, including women, joining in the attack, with the man being stomped on and beaten for nearly a minute before being helped to his feet. However, he quickly collapsed again, appearing to suffer from head, nose, and mouth injuries. The woman who attempted to assist the man is shown receiving two blows to the face and being knocked unconscious after her head hits the pavement.

Another video from the same night shows a third white person being knocked out in an apparently separate incident, also involving black assailants.

“The behavior displayed is nothing short of cruel and absolutely unacceptable,” Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge said of the attack.

Ohio Republican gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy (R) also weighed in, saying, “I was born and raised in Cincinnati, and it’s sad to see this kind of heinous violence on the streets. It’s a shame that Democrats in our state remain silent when so many of their constituents are suffering from their lax-on-crime policies. We’re going to bring law and order back to cities across Ohio on my watch.”

Much of the discourse surrounding the incident has revolved around the ethnicity of the victims and the attackers, and the relative lack of media interest in it. This disparity has also drawn the attention of the Department of Justice (DOJ), with Harmeet Dhillon, Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights, writing in a post on X (formerly Twitter): “Our federal hate crimes laws apply to ALL Americans. We [at the Civil Rights division] will monitor closely how local authorities handle this attack. Nobody in our great nation should be the victim of such a crime, and where race is a motivation, federal law may apply.”

‘Online Safety Act’ Imposes Mass Censorship on Social Media.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: British users of the X social media platform reported being prevented from viewing anti-mass migration protest footage due to the Online Safety Act.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Social media platform X, British users, the UK Government, and the Free Speech Union.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The censorship began on Friday as the Online Safety Act was enacted across the United Kingdom.

💬KEY QUOTE: “The purpose is suppression of the people.” – Elon Musk

🎯IMPACT: Online petitions to repeal the law have gained over 160,000 signatures, and VPN searches in Britain surged by 700%.

IN FULL

X (formerly Twitter) users in the United Kingdom are being blocked from viewing anti-mass migration protest footage and parliamentary speeches on the subject of Muslim rape gangs after the so-called Online Safety Act took effect on Friday. Crafted by the prior Conservative (Tory) government, the Online Safety Act was pitched as a means of shielding children from pornography and other graphic content online. Still, many of its provisions are more concerned with censoring political speech.

After the law came into effect on Friday, British users shared screenshots of X messages received while trying to access footage of recent anti-mass migration protests, sparked by an alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl by an Ethiopian migrant in Epping, England. The message read: “Due to local laws, we are temporarily restricting access to this content until X estimates your age.”

It has also resulted in a parliamentary speech by a Conservative politician discussing Muslim groomers being censored, including quotes from victims, further suppressing an issue that the British authorities, media, and political class have failed to address.

With fines of up to £18 million (~$24.2 million) or 10 percent of a company’s global turnover for violating the Online Safety Act, social media platforms are likely to be overly cautious in moderating content to avoid penalties. On Saturday, X owner Elon Musk stated that the Online Safety Act’s “purpose is suppression of the people.”

An online petition calling for the repeal of the Online Safety Act has already garnered over 160,000 signatures, mandating parliamentary consideration for debate.

Meanwhile, searches for VPNs—software that masks IP addresses to simulate being in another country—surged by over 700 percent in Britain on Friday as users sought to bypass the new restrictions. However, the incumbent Labour Party government under Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is already considering banning VPNs to prevent them from being used to bypass national censorship regulations.

European Union Bulldozed in Trump Trade Talks.

President Donald J. Trump “rolled over” the European Union (EU) in a historic trade deal—unlocking billions in energy purchases, investment, and military sales while locking in higher tariffs on European imports.

The details: Following a 75-minute private meeting in Scotland with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Trump unveiled the outline of their preliminary agreement, which includes:

  • EU tariffs on U.S. imports drops to zero
  • 15 percent tariffs on most EU goods entering the U.S.
  • $750B in U.S. energy purchases from the EU
  • $600B in new European investment into the U.S.
  • EU will buy “hundreds of billions” in U.S. military equipment

Exclusions: Trump kept steel and aluminum tariffs at 50 percent, and pharma is not part of the deal.

President Trump, sitting beside von der Leyen, told the press:

  • “I think it’s great that we made a deal today instead of playing games and maybe not making a deal at all… I think it’s the biggest deal ever made.”

Zoom out: The deal comes just days before Trump’s August 1 deadline, which would have seen steep tariffs—including 30 percent on autos and 200 percent on pharma—levied against EU imports to the U.S.

Back up: Trump has said the EU was “formed to screw the U.S.” and “nastier than China”.

What the Europeans are saying: An article for the Financial Times titled “How the EU succumbed to Trump’s tariff steamroller,” concluded:

  • “There is no hiding the fact the EU was rolled over by the Trump juggernaut, said one ambassador. ‘Trump worked out exactly where our pain threshold is.’”

Big picture: Since beginning his second term, Trump has sought to reset the United States’ relationship with Europe in trade and defense. He’s gotten NATO allies to agree to increase defense spending to five percent, signed a historic trade deal with the UK, and now a trade deal with the EU.

Trump Order Shuts Down ‘Child Sexual Mutilation’ Center.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Yale New Haven Health and Connecticut Children’s Medical Center announced they are ending their “gender-affirming care services.”

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: President Donald J. Trump, Yale New Haven Health, Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, and other health systems nationwide.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Various hospitals across the United States have announced changes in recent weeks.

💬KEY QUOTE: “We are not going to allow child sexual mutilation.” – Donald Trump last year.

🎯IMPACT: A growing number of health providers have ended or paused so-called “gender-affirming care” for minors nationwide.

IN FULL

The Trump White House has released a statement showing the effects of the administration’s policies on preventing the mutilation of children as a result of medical transgenderism, noting Yale New Haven Health and Connecticut Children’s Medical Center have announced they are ending their so-called “gender-affirming care services.” The center joins a growing list of health systems across the country following President Trump’s executive action to stop “child sexual mutilation.”

Phoenix Children’s Hospital has stopped providing puberty blockers and hormone therapy to minors. Stanford Medicine has ended sex-change surgeries for minors, while Children’s Hospital Los Angeles has closed its “Center for Transyouth Health and Development and Gender-Affirming Care.”

Other institutions such as Denver Health, UCHealth, Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, UChicago, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and Rush Medical Center have also halted various forms of so-called “gender-affirming care” for minors. Similar actions have been taken by hospitals in New York City, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., and beyond.

Kaiser Permanente has also joined the list by pausing sex-change surgeries for patients under 19 across its hospitals and surgical centers. This marks a significant shift in the medical approach to minors and gender-related treatments in the United States.

President Trump has threatened to cut federal funding to hospitals and clinics that perform chemical or surgical gender treatment on minors. Despite this, some, like New York Attorney General Letitia James, have told hospitals to ignore President Trump’s order and follow local and state laws instead, resulting in legal confrontations with the federal government.

Policeman Shot Dead Amid Surge in ‘Ambush Attacks’ on Law Enforcement.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A police officer in Lorain, Ohio, was killed in an ambush attack, with two other officers injured during the exchange of gunfire.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Officers Phillip Wagner, Peter Gale, Brent Payne, and suspect Michael Parker.

📍WHEN & WHERE: July 2025 in Lorain, Ohio, along a dead-end road.

💬KEY QUOTE: “They’ve always got to have that situational awareness, and the unfortunate thing about law enforcement is they’re truly never off duty.” – Kevin Harris, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) trainer.

🎯IMPACT: The attack highlights a disturbing rise in ambushes targeting law enforcement, with at least 50 officers shot in such attacks this year.

IN FULL

A police officer in Lorain, Ohio, was killed July 23 in what authorities describe as an ambush-style shooting. Officer Phillip Wagner, 35, a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, died after being struck multiple times by gunfire. Two fellow officers, Peter Gale, 51, and Brent Payne, 47, were also shot during the incident, with Payne remaining in critical condition as of the time of publication. The suspected gunman, 28-year-old Michael Parker, was killed during an exchange of fire with law enforcement.

The attack occurred around 1 PM along a dead-end road where Wagner and Gale had reportedly parked after picking up lunch. According to police, Parker had been lying in wait before opening fire. Authorities said that several firearms, magazines, and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were found in the suspect’s vehicle.

The violent encounter is part of a trend in the U.S. involving ambushes against law enforcement officers. Statistics indicate that at least 50 officers have been shot in ambush-style attacks in 2025 so far. The annual total could eventually surpass the 80 such incidents recorded in 2024. The peak was in 2023, when 138 ambush-style shootings were reported. Overall, 342 officers were shot in the line of duty last year, up 40 percent compared to 2018, according to the Fraternal Order of Police.

Steven Fioritto, a trustee with the Ohio Fraternal Order of Police, commented on the pattern seen in many of these cases: “A lot of times they describe the person as a loner, but not every loner is going to do that.”

The Federal Bureau of Investgation (FBI) has taken a deeper interest in the rise of these types of attacks. Agents have interviewed both victims and perpetrators in an attempt to understand the motivations behind the violence. FBI trainer Kevin Harris spoke to the daily challenges officers face: “They’ve always got to have that situational awareness, and the unfortunate thing about law enforcement is they’re truly never off duty.”

The Democratic Party has been intensifying its rhetoric against law enforcement involved in deportations, in particular, since President Donald J. Trump’s reelection, with 2024 vice presidential candidate going so far as to describe U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement as “Gestapo.”

ICE agents, Border Patrol agents, and regular law enforcement supporting them have been targeted in a number of ambush attacks already this year.

Ghislaine Maxwell’s Lawyers Say She Discussed ‘About 100 Different People’ With DOJ.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Ghislaine Maxwell, currently serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking, was questioned by the Department of Justice (DOJ) regarding the Jeffrey Epstein case.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Ghislaine Maxwell, her attorney David Oscar Markus, and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The questioning took place over the last two days in a federal courthouse in Tallahassee, Florida.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Ghislaine answered every single question asked of her over the last day and a half, she answered those questions honestly, truthfully, to the best of her ability.” – David Oscar Markus

🎯IMPACT: The questioning has reignited public interest in the Epstein case and raised questions about transparency in the Department of Justice’s handling of related files.

IN FULL

Ghislaine Maxwell, the convicted sex offender and former associate of Jeffrey Epstein, has faced extensive questioning from the Department of Justice (DOJ) at a federal courthouse in Tallahassee, Florida. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche led the inquiry, reportedly focusing on individuals connected to Epstein’s crimes.

Maxwell’s attorney, David Oscar Markus, stated that his client answered all questions posed to her without invoking privilege or refusing to respond. “Ghislaine answered every single question asked of her over the last day and a half. She answered those questions honestly, truthfully, to the best of her ability,” Markus said.

Markus noted that Blanche was “seeking the truth” and “asked every possible question.” He said Maxwell “was asked about maybe about 100 different people. She answered questions about everybody, and she didn’t hold anything back.”

“She never invoked a privilege. She never refused to answer a question. So we’re very proud of her,” he added.

The session comes amid controversy surrounding Attorney General Pam Bondi’s handling of the Epstein case, in particular her recent claim that a “client list” for the deceased pedophile, which she claimed was “on [her] desk” earlier this year, does not exist.

Markus has hinted at the possibility of a presidential pardon for Maxwell, referencing Trump’s authority to do so. Trump said Thursday that he has the power to do this, but has not given much consideration to the matter.

Ghislaine Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year sentence for child sex trafficking charges, having been convicted for her role in procuring underage girls for Jeffrey Epstein to exploit and abuse.

Study Reveals Potential Hostile Alien Threat in Mysterious Interstellar Object.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A controversial study has suggested that an intergalactic object, 3I/ATLAS, might be a hostile alien spacecraft potentially slated to attack Earth.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The study was authored by Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb, along with Adam Hibberd and Adam Crowl of the Initiative for Interstellar Studies in London, England.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The object was discovered on July 1, and the study was published on July 16 on the preprint server arXiv.

💬KEY QUOTE: “The consequences, should the hypothesis turn out to be correct, could potentially be dire for humanity,” the researchers wrote in their paper.

🎯IMPACT: The study has sparked debate among scientists, with many dismissing the alien theory as unfounded and others urging caution.

IN FULL

A group of scientists claims an interstellar object, aa, has been identified as potentially being a hostile alien spacecraft in a new study by Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb and researchers Adam Hibberd and Adam Crowl. The paper, published on July 16 on the preprint server arXiv, has stirred controversy among scientists worldwide. “The consequences, should the hypothesis turn out to be correct, could potentially be dire for humanity,” the researchers wrote in their paper.

The object, discovered on July 1 and traveling at over 130,000 mph, was initially thought to be a comet with a diameter of up to 15 miles. However, Loeb and his colleagues speculate that its trajectory and speed suggest it could be extraterrestrial spy technology. Loeb, who has previously linked interstellar objects to alien life, theorized that 3I/ATLAS’s behavior could serve strategic purposes for an alien intelligence.

“This could be intentional to avoid detailed observations from Earth-based telescopes when the object is brightest or when gadgets are sent to Earth from that hidden vantage point,” Loeb wrote in a blog post. He also warned that the object’s potential alien origins might support the “dark forest hypothesis,” which posits that extraterrestrial civilizations remain hidden to avoid threats. Loeb suggested this could necessitate defensive measures.

Critics, however, have dismissed the claims. Samantha Lawler, an astronomer at the University of Regina, stated, “All evidence points to this being an ordinary comet that was ejected from another solar system.” Chris Lintott, an astronomer at the University of Oxford, added, “Any suggestion that it’s artificial is nonsense on stilts, and is an insult to the exciting work going on to understand this object.”

Even Loeb acknowledged that the alien theory is unlikely, admitting, “By far, the most likely outcome will be that 3I/ATLAS is a completely natural interstellar object, probably a comet.” The researchers also cautioned that their paper, which has not been peer-reviewed, should be taken with a grain of salt.

‘Get Your Act Together’ — Trump Laments ‘Horrible Invasion’ of Migrants ‘Killing Europe.’

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: President Donald J. Trump arrived in Scotland and criticized Britain’s handling of illegal migration.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: President Trump, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

📍WHEN & WHERE: July 2025, Glasgow Airport, Scotland.

💬KEY QUOTE: “You better get your act together or you’re not going to have Europe anymore.” – President Trump

🎯IMPACT: Trump’s comments add pressure on British leadership to address rising illegal immigration issues.

IN FULL

President Donald J. Trump arrived in Scotland for a four-day visit and immediately addressed Britain’s illegal immigration issues. He urged Britain to “get its act together” to stop what he described as a “horrible invasion” affecting Europe.

“You better get your act together or you’re not going to have Europe anymore,” he said shortly after landing. “You’ve got to stop this horrible invasion that is happening to Europe, many countries in Europe.”

He continued: “Some leaders have not let it happen, and they’re not getting the proper credit… I could name them to you right now, but I’m not going to embarrass the other ones. But stop, this immigration is killing Europe.”

The America First leader highlighted his administration’s success in halting illegal entries, saying, “Last month we had nobody entering our country.”

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, of the left-wing Labour Party, faces increasing pressure to tackle illegal migration, with tens of thousands of migrants crossing the English Channel in small boats this year, with virtually none of them being deported. Many are being housed in often luxurious hotels at the taxpayers’ expense, despite being largely unvetted, with some committing crimes that have prompted riotous protests in recent weeks.

Trump plans to meet with Sir Keir and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen during his British trip. Despite his critical stance on the British premier’s handling of immigration, Trump commended the Prime Minister for successfully negotiating a U.S. trade deal—only possible as a result of Brexit—stating, “He got a trade deal done… It’s a good deal for the UK.”
