On Friday, the force responsible for the Southport area where three young girls were stabbed to death, allegedly by a migration-backgroundteenager, in July, shared footage of a 53-year-old protester being arrested as he deboarded a plane on Friday.
Merseyside Police also shared Thomas Whitehead’s name and street name on X (formerly Twitter), gloating that he had been “jailed for 20 months” on Thursday.

Whitehead pleaded guilty to throwing an object towards police in Southport after a vigil for the murdered girls turned riotous. Other anti-mass migration protesters have been jailed for “crimes” such as chanting “Who the f**k is Allah?” and shouting at a police dog.
The reason why the police shared Whitehead’s address is uncertain, but it leaves his family in considerable danger.
Muslim counter-demonstrators—who, unlike the anti-immigration demonstrators, have largely been given free rein by the police—have attacked white people at random in the streets in recent weeks, believing they could be “far-right.”
Comcast’s Sky News also reports that “Asian gangs”—of Pakistani and Bangladeshi heritage—are plotting to attack anti-immigration demonstrators in prison.

A “deeply disturbing” report by Baroness Louise Casey has exposed widespread institutional failings in how authorities handled grooming gang crimes across Britain. The review found that Asian and Pakistani-background men were vastly overrepresented among suspects involved in child sexual grooming gang activity.
The report also found victims—many girls aged just 10 to 15—were wrongly blamed, often dismissed as “wayward teenagers” instead of vulnerable children being raped and exploited.
“If we’d got this right years ago—seeing these girls as children raped rather than ‘wayward teenagers’ or collaborators in their abuse, collecting ethnicity data, and acknowledging as a system that we did not do a good enough job—then I doubt we’d be in this place now,” Baroness Casey wrote.
British Home Secretary Yvette Cooper—roughly equivalent to the Homeland Security Secretary in the U.S.—vowed swift action on 12 key recommendations, including a new time-limited national inquiry, treating grooming gang abuse as serious and organised crime, and tracking data on offenders’ ethnicity and nationality. The National Crime Agency (NCA) will reopen over 800 cold cases.
“This is one of the most horrific crimes,” Cooper told Members of Parliament (MPs), issuing an “unequivocal apology” to survivors. “Children as young as 10 plied with drugs and alcohol, brutally raped by gangs of men and disgracefully let down again and again by the authorities who were meant to protect them.”
Baroness Casey’s 200-page report criticised the historic refusal to collect ethnicity data and warned this silence had “only helped the bad people.” She also called for criminal records of victims coerced into illegal activity to be overturned and said stricter laws were needed to ensure men who have sex with under-16s face rape charges.
The inquiry comes after years of public outcry. Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer backed the new probe after facing mounting pressure from the right, including criticism from Elon Musk and Reform Party leader Nigel Farage.
Children’s charity Barnardo’s warned against delaying reforms, urging the government to implement existing recommendations immediately. “Children and survivors have already been waiting many years for action,” said CEO Lynn Perry.
Grooming gang activity remains ongoing, with perpetrators now often targeting victims online or in vape shops, the report found.

While the refueling tankers traveled with their flight transponders on, it is possible they towed other aircraft as part of the airlift, which did not have activated transponders. These could include B-2 bombers, capable of delivering the GBU-57A/B MOP (Massive Ordnance Penetrator)—a 30,000lb bunker buster bomb capable of destroying Iran’s Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant (FFEP), which is located an estimated half-mile inside a mountain just outside the city of Qom.
Two anonymous American officials have stated that the aircraft were being repositioned to provide President Donald J. Trump with additional options. The Nimitz, set to be decommissioned next year, was initially scheduled to replace the USS Carl Vinson in the Arabian Sea but is now arriving ahead of schedule.
The deployment coincides with Israel’s ongoing offensive against Iran, aimed at destroying the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program. “Once they go that route, it’s too late. Vance Luther Boelter, the suspect in a series of shootings that left former Minnesota Democratic House Speaker Melissa Hortman (D) and her husband, Mark, dead, and injured Senator John Hoffman (D) and his wife, Yvette, was arrested Sunday, June 15. The arrest followed an extensive manhunt involving 20 tactical teams, helicopters, and officers on foot.
Authorities say Boelter posed as a police officer, using a vehicle altered to resemble a police car. He allegedly targeted the Hoffmans first, shooting them at their home in Champlin early Saturday. Hours later, he fatally shot the Hortmans at their home in Brooklyn Park as police arrived on the scene, prompting him to flee.
Brooklyn Park Police Chief Mark Bruley described the operation to capture Boelter as “the largest manhunt in the state’s history.” Officers eventually located Boelter in the woods near his abandoned vehicle. He surrendered without incident, crawling to officers before being taken into custody.
Drew Evans, superintendent of the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, credited officers’ quick response at the Hortman residence with preventing further violence.
The attacks have drawn nationwide attention, with Gov. Tim Walz (D) condemning the violence and calling for unity, saying, “This cannot be the norm. It cannot be the way that we deal with our political differences.”
U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D) shared a statement from Yvette Hoffman, who expressed gratitude for public support, adding that both she and her husband are recovering from multiple gunshot wounds. “We are gutted and devastated by the loss of Melissa and Mark,” Hoffman wrote.
The motivation for the attack remains unclear. Officials found “No Kings” fliers in the seat of the suspect’s vehicle, but a list of Democrat lawmakers and pro-abortion activists was also reportedly found. Writings, possibly some sort of manifesto, have also been reported, but investigators have released no details.

Iranian authorities have blamed Israel for at least five car bombings that took place on June 15, with Iranian media additionally claiming that several nuclear scientists were killed as a result. The apparent killings come after Israel has specifically targeted nuclear scientists and senior Iranian military officials in recent days.
Since Friday, June 13, around 15 nuclear scientists have reportedly been killed in Israeli attacks as both Israel and Iran continue to trade blows. Israeli officials have denied being behind the car bombs in Tehran, however.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu explained why he gave the green light for strikes on Iran, which began last week, saying, “Iran is pursuing nuclear weapons that make the bombs dropped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima look tiny in comparison. We could not remain passive. This is truly an existential war.”
The death toll on both sides has continued to rise since Friday, with reports in Iran claiming at least 224 deaths and 1,200 injured, while Israel has reported 24 people killed since the conflict between the two countries began. However, some activists claim as many as 406 people in Iran may have been killed in Israeli strikes.
Israel now claims to have air superiority over Tehran, Iran’s capital, with Israeli military spokesman Effie Defrin stating that Israel has struck over 120 launch pads for missiles, destroying a third of them overall. Despite this, Iran has been able to attack Israeli targets and at times penetrate Israel’s multi-layered drone and missile defence systems.
So far, the United States is not offensively involved in the conflict, but President Donald J. Trump has warned Iran that the U.S. could become involved if Iran strikes U.S. targets in the region. President Trump said, “[If] we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the U.S. Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before.” Additionally, the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier and its carrier strike force are en route to the region.
