MSNBC host and far-left fabulist Joy Reid has deleted her social media account on tech entrepreneur Elon Musk’s X (formerly Twitter) platform following President-elect Donald J. Trump’s landslide 2024 election victory. Reid is best known for her on-air and live-streamed tirades, often baselessly accusing Americans of racism and peddling far-left conspiracy theories.
Earlier this year, the far-left mainstay at MSNBC emerged as one of the leading BlueAnon conspiracy theorists regarding the attempted assassination of Trump in Bulter, Pennsylvania. In a video posted on social media, Reid—under the auspices of ‘just asking questions’—posits Trump may have been struck by glass and not a bullet.
“We still don’t know for sure whether Donald Trump was hit by a bullet, whether he was hit by glass fragments, whether he was hit by shrapnel—we don’t have those details,” Reid states in her video, going on to falsely claim that the public has no details from Trump’s attending physician at the Butler, Pennsylvania area hospital where he was treated.
The National Pulse reported in March of this year that Reid was dismissing concerns over crime caused by illegal immigrants, accusing the Republican Party of “demagoguing” the murder of 22-year-old Laken Riley. While attempting to criticize the Laken Riley Act, legislation in Congress addressing criminal immigrant detention, the MSNBC host revealed she was oblivious to the fact that local authorities simply release many illegal immigrants arrested for crimes before federal officials can detain them.
Additionally, Reid has appeared utterly ignorant of basic political knowledge at times. In 2020, she insisted the website FiveThirtyEight derived its name from the number of votes by which Al Gore lost Florida to George W. Bush. FiveThirtyEight takes its name from the total number of electors in the Electoral College.
